Cartoon rage reaches Iraq

Cartoon rage reaches the home of the Fallujah atrocities, Saddam's file cabinet prison, etc. "Iraqis protest against anti-Islamic Danish cartoons," from AFP, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:

BAGHDAD (AFP) - With fiery sermons and raucous demonstrations, Iraqis called for an investigation into Danish and Norwegian publications carrying cartoons deemed offensive to the Prophet Mohammed....

In a virulent sermon from the pulpit of his mosque in the Shiite Kadhimiya neighborhood of Baghdad, Sheikh Hazem al-Aaraji described the cartoons as an attack on Islam.

"They want to disfigure Islam and this we cannot accept. These cartoons directly attack the personality of the messenger of God. We say to them: they cannot attack Mohammed, nor any of the prophets," thundered the preacher, who is a follower of firebrand Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.

His audience filled the mosque with their cries of "No to evil," "No to Satan" and "Mohammed we will answer your call."

"Mohammed is the symbol of humanity. He is not dead, he lives always among us through his teachings and through the sacred book," said the preacher, before calling on the Iraqi government and all Muslim states to demand an accounting from the Danish and Norwegian governments.

Following the sermon, around 100 people careened through the narrow alleys of Kadhimiyah with chants of "there is no god but God, and Mohammed is his prophet" and "Jews, the army of Mohammed and Ali will return."

Oh, I see. A veiled genocidal threat is all right. But cartoons of Muhammad? It's...it's an outrage!!

Over in Baghdad's grim Shiite district of Sadr City, another preacher used his Friday sermon to call for the editors of the magazines to be put on trial.

"We demand the opening of an inquiry and the prosecution of the artists, publishers and the officials of the newspapers before Danish and European courts," declared Sheikh Salah al-Obeidi.

The main Sunni political coalition, the National Concord Front, also issued a denunciation of the cartoons, calling for the West on Wednesday, to "put an end to their decline in morals."...

Dhimmi Norway is already caving:

The Norwegian foreign ministry on Thursday asked its diplomats posted in Muslim countries to express their "regrets" to their host governments about the re-printing of the cartoons.

Sorry, OT, from Nick Griffin's trial.
If he were not truly a racist, I would clap hands for him - he is doing a great job at least here, showing a couragous insight into the natuure of Islam and its holy books.
Could BNP be reformable? Granny W???

"Mr Griffin and BNP member Mark Collett deny intending to stir up racial hatred in speeches in West Yorkshire in 2004.

The jury at Leeds Crown Court was given copies of extracts from the Koran which Mr Griffin discussed in detail.

Judge Norman Jones twice intervened to remind Mr Griffin he was not making a speech at a political meeting.

Mr Griffin said he wanted the jury to read sections of the Koran as he claimed Islam was incompatible with British democracy.

Koran 'misquoted'

After quoting from chapters of the text, Griffin said the verses justified "the epidemic of anti-white racist attacks and also attacks on Sikhs, Hindus and black people in every city in this land where there is a significant Muslim population".

Mr Griffin quoted further sections, claiming the verses justified Islam treating women as "sexual playthings of very little value beyond that" and also violence, including the 9/11 attacks in the US.

He told the jury he had spent a lot of time studying the Koran and believed it was often misquoted by politicians, including Prime Minister Tony Blair, as they tried to claim Islam was a peaceful faith.

"Islam and our democracy are totally incompatible," he said.

"It's very easy for people brought up in a post-Christian secular society to think that this is a dusty old book, a bit like the Bible, and it's a history book from the eighth century.

"To Muslims the Koran is the literal word of God - the only law as to how to live your life." Mr Griffin, of Llanerfyl, Powys, Wales, denies two charges of using words or behaviour intended to stir up racial hatred and two alternative charges of using words or behaviour likely to stir up racial hatred. First, these cartoons do not attack the personality of Mohammed, but exemplify his personality. If Mohammed is truly believed to be a symbol for humanity, then Mother Teresa had it all wrong.

Just what could the artists and publications be tried for, exercise of their lawfully guaranteed freedom of expression? As for the dhimmitude from the Norwegian foreign ministry, the regrets should be that Mohammedans have not grown up.

Note the quote:

they cannot attack Mohammed, nor any of the prophets...

So where was all this Mohammedan rage when the the highly revered prophet Issa was dunked in a jar of urine? Gee, and I thought there was no idolatry in Islam.

Lisa, you beat me to it (re Issa) but you put it so eloquently.

By the viagra of Islam may they maintain the cartoon rage, and show the West the major issues in the minds of muslims today.

Well, now: I for one am amazingly glad that my (Jewish) US Dollars is paying for all of this. How wonderful can that be?

On a lighter note: Is the rumor I've just heard true that a recent scientific study demonstrated and no one in the US Government has a frontal lobe?

That rumor must be true, because if anyone had a frontal lobe they would have certainly not wasted good old US money on such an obvious outcome.

Polish infideless:

What you report fills me with some hope.
The BNP 'gets it', should one say? If they could exorcise their racist tag, by inducting sikhs and hindus and blacks into their ranks, maybe they could stand a chance at the hustings?

And to think the BBC actually reported these things! Is the trial also being televised? Does the UK have some kinda c-span network over there? These parts would be must-see for folks everywhere!

This topic comes up again and again, In my opinion from this side of the Atlantic it looks like this fellow is doing a fine job in highlighting the RoP. Although British posters will disagree, I think this is more a symptom of the leftwing socialist politcs that prevails in Europe.

Briatian needs all the help it can get just look at the news that has come out of there in the last week.

Islamolovefests to commemerate the 7/7 bombings.
Hamza on trial.
A jihadists going down for six years for plotting to kill a member of the British Military.

I watched the videoclip this week for which he is standing trial for, there is nothing on that clip that deserves to put a man in prison, regardless of his politics and especially one that is in the front lines of combating the jihad.

I recommend watching the clip because there is segment where they are describing murders being commited by muslims on ethnic Britains and how these cases are not being covered by the MSM. Then watch the BBC report on the same page as the above story posted by Polish Infideless about a racist murder involving a man called Steven Lawrence. Pretty eye opening, and a good indicator of how Al beeb is a mouthpiece for the Islamoagenda.

The speech is entitled Nick Griffins Morley speech you need to scroll down.

All this over some cartoons in a Danish newspaper. What happens if the major Western networks start showing re-runs of "Crusader Rabbit"?

A good pretext to withdraw troops now - so that Zarqawi can resume his activities, and in the process, take out some of the Rafadite dog protesters.

If what Nick Griffin is saying is true, then my anscestral homeland is doomed and doomed by, of all things, political correctness. You can only treat people like mushrooms for so long.

Actually, we do have a photograph of Mohammed, thanks to Professor Peabody and his famous time-machine:

http://thestudyofrevenge.blogspot.com/

I am amazed by the high quality of this photograph. I think it was taken with a format Hasselblad.

Mentat I agree, I havent followed up on the stories ellaborated by Griffin in his speech but I have little reason to doubt they are true. A murder is a hard thing to just make up. The torture of the young boy in Glasgow before they killed him is particularly heinous.
But what is worse is if the MSM have completely failed to follow up on it for fear of upsetting the multikulti pressure cooker that is the UK right now. Yet they have no problem parroting that the Lawrence murder was racially motivated.

I to fear that Britain is doomed a small minority seem to be aware of what is going on, but the majority appear to have their heads in the sand and the establishment appears to be focused on helping Islams Jihad. I just wish the people of Britain would stand up and fight back.

Again I recommend everyone listen to the recording and the descriptions of the crimes being commited and what he has been arrested for and then listen to the Al beeb reports to get a glimpse of the state of Britain today.

The Norwegian foreign ministry on Thursday asked its diplomats posted in Muslim countries to express their "regrets" to their host governments about the [belief in free speech by the pond scum non-muslim citizens in Denmark].
I see a huge market in Denmark developing for yellow and blue sashes to be worn by the large Danish dhimmi population. I have often wondered if a modern interpretation of the prohibition of riding on horseback to dhimmi would be that non-muslims would only be allowed to drive used Trebbies. Spineless fools.

Britain is in the worst danger and under the greatest dihimmi mindset of all the European countries.

I have promised not to mention the BNP on this site as there are strong feelings by some of the British posters, I'm sure based on good reasons, but if you have no faith in the messenger, at least give credit to the message.

I listened to the testimony and even to this old New Yorker, who has seen his fair share of bloody mayhem, the cases of murder and torture of white and non-muslim British is utterly appalling.

Six years for plotting the death of a British war hero! unbelievable and soft... soft... soft!

Britain wake up, you are in the fight for your life!

Polish Infideless, thanks for the great post

The rage shows the immaturity of those who practice Islam. They are constantly being stirred up in a manner that is designed to cause friction between themselves and all who are non-Muslim.

I applaud the Danish government for taking a stand and telling the Islamics to get nicked, that they will not prevent freedom of speech.

I am a Catholic, and I am constantly offended by the rhetoric of anti-Catholics, including what is passed off as artwork. In fact I am insulted over the subject matter of some items that are being passed off as "works of art". Do I have the right to burn the American flag because of this material? I do not think so. It would be considered very inappropriate. Do I have the right to raise my voice in protest by writing to the Australian Art Gallery to request the withrawal of such an offensive object being placed on exhibition here in Australia. Well, yes, I have the right to sit down and state my objetions.

The Muslim population needs to learn that these demonstrations are not going to be tolerated, and that this violent behaviour is unacceptable.

Yea, Hugh! Foxtel, I want my CRUSADER RABBIT!

"Mohammed is the symbol of humanity. He is not dead, he lives...

I knew that maniac was still alive. He's probably a zombie by now. A little stiff and calcified, not as good looking as he once was, probably has a lot of wrinkles and grey skin, but he is alive. I dont doubt that he's still chasing little girls. And everyone thought he was dead...

No their feelings are based on their bigoted (socialist) views of the BNP.
(A lot of which come from corrupt groups like the the bbc ,if any of you out there didn't know the reason the BNP is in court in the first place is because of the bbc ,with it's utter hatred of freedom & democracy .(would a pro-democratic group demand the subjugation of the British people ?)
It (the bbc) can't stand the fact the BNP is part of a democracy ,while it never will be & has to demand the government force the British people to bow down before it!
Shine the light of democracy on the bbc and watch it wither and die !)
Plus you see in the UK like most of the world we are not allowed to mention the 100 million or so killed in the name of socialism (it's seen as whiter than white )& they can't bear the fact that we are not nazis (but loyal Brits) ,but as socialists they do have blood on their hands !

"Mohammed is the symbol of humanity."

If that is true, then humanity is doomed.
