Tehran, Iran, Jan. 06 – The Persian-language website Hambastegi Meli reported on Friday that in Karaj, west of the Iranian capital, a 17-year-old girl, identified only as Nazanin, was sentenced to be hanged. The verdict was handed down in branch 71 of Iran’s Islamic courts, the report said.
This girl's only crime was that she resisted her rapists and those Muslim thugs who also were trying to rape her even younger niece.
"18-year-old Nazanin confessed to stabbing one of three men who had attacked the pair along with their boyfriends while they were spending some time in a park west of the Iranian capital in March 2005.
She described how the three men pushed her and her 16-year-old niece Somayeh onto the ground and tried to rape them, and said that she took out a knife from her pocket and stabbed one of the men in the hand.
As the girls tried to escape, the men once again attacked them, and at this point, Nazanin said, she stabbed one of the men in the chest. The teenage girl, however, broke down in tears in court as she explained that she had no intention of killing the man but was merely defending herself and her younger niece from rape, the report said.
The court, however, issued on Tuesday a sentence for Nazanin to be hanged to death."
That is truly shocking. Of course, had the girl not resisted the rapists, the court would have said she consented to sex, so she would have been hanged for that instead.
Not to worry. The fearless Bill O'Reilly will cover this case in his Talking Points Memo on tonight's broadcast.
While I'm glad this will get some media coverage, I doubt there is anything Bill O'Reilly can do for poor Nazanin.
Meanwhile, the rest of the world will remain content in their own lives - oblivious to the utter lack of human compassion in the Muslim world, and labelling anyone that notices as a racist.
I wonder what all those Europeans who were upset over Tookie Williams' execution have to say about this.

Well, it seems that if you're going to hang, it might as well be for the sheep of protecting one's honor as for the lamb of getting raped and then being accused by the rapists of being immoral. I honestly hope the assailants, if not dead now, come down with gangrene or something worse in their wounds.

Let this act of sheer barbarity be a warning of what will happen in the West by around 2100, unless we do something about our burgeoning Muslim population, and the poison that emanates from the Koran, Sira and hadith. We can be certain that once Muslims make up 40-60% of the population, Sharia law will be in for all - Muslim and non-Muslim alike. Because the story was quite long, I only put the core paragraphs in. It appears that they were having a pinic or something when these thugs started threatening them and throwning rocks at them. The two young men then fled on their motorcycles leaving the helpless girls behind to their fate.
These young men probably didn't want to be falsely accuse of being seen with women in a public place.

In October, 2003 another Iranian woman, Afsaneh Nouroozi, was sentenced to be executed for killing a rapist who happened to be the Head of Police Intelligence unit in a southern city of Iran.

The fact that she says she was defending "the honour of my family" speaks volumes about the warped values of this society, although this is not, of course, the worst aspect of this appalling case.
