Tehran, Jan 2 - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that the Iranian government is ready to host a conference on 'human rights' between the Islamic and European thinkers.Asked about dialogue on human rights between Iran and the European Union, he said that Iran is ready to organize a conference on 'human rights' between thinkers from Muslim nations and European states in presence of Western media networks to be broadcast without censorship.
The president said that human rights is a sacred value which should not be abused for propaganda campaign or political objectives. He said that Iran seeks dialogue on human rights not only with certain states which are misusing the topic for propaganda purposes.
"Iran advocates dialogue on human rights with international community to be pursued in its true sense and on equal footing."
He made a proposal according to which Iran would send representatives to European states to study freedom of expression, prisons conditions and women or children there and in return, the European states will be able to send delegation to Iran to study human rights situation in the country. So, the report of the European delegation about human rights in Iran and that of the Iranian delegation to Europe would be published for the public opinion without any censorship.

Isn't it a little late for the Ahmadinejad to start practicing his taquiya. But then again hypocrisy doesn't appear to be part of his venacular. Maybe he is pushing for a seat on the UN human rights counsel, right up there with Libya. Of course his interpretation of human rights is what ever he and his followers thinks it should be and no one else.

Personally I would be very surprised if such a conference takes place. However there are around 56 counties that may attend, but I wouldn't want to live in any of them.

I had the pleasure of going to a seminar of a once local Mulla loving Iranian ex-politician. He told the audience that he was petrified after fleeing Iran of never seeing his family again.
Why? Because the only time a woman in Iran is allowed to divorce her husband and have full rights to the kids is when he becomes a Christian - which he now is. Pity he doesn't work for ASIO instead of all those PC academics they employ!

In the first place, I wonder whether the present rulers of Iran even know what 'human rights' are? From all the reports that we get of the abuse of rights of individuals inside Iran.
Its best that they put their own house in order before they question the rights in the European countries.
I don't see any people lining up to get into Iran nor are there any asylum seekers at their borders. That says it all.

Islamic and European thinkers. More moronic oxymorons. And just what are these 'thinkers' thinking about? I think they should give up the whole notion of 'thinking'. Of course, it's not the thinking itself that causes problems, but the quality of the thought. Muslims and Europeans think lots of thoughts that are not acted upon. A thought that is not acted on, does not just disappear. It stays in the empty space between the thinkers ears. There they accumilate.
After a while, they begin composting, and send toxins out to the body and mind. This condition is called 'mental constipation'. It acts on mentality much the same as physical constipation acts on the body, bockages, cramps, toxidity and sometimes pain.
Sometimes this is called anal retention. All muslims and many Euorpean 'thinkers' have this.
The main symptoms are a backing up of unused stuff that works its way into the bloodstream. The material is then deposited in various parts of the body. When it piles up behind the optic
nerve, it gives the suffering thinker 'opticalrectumitis', or a shtty outlook on life. This is why it is probably not a good idea for muslims or some Europeans to try thinking. It's clearly too much for them. Allah did not provide for thinking anyway, so muslims are in defunct for even trying it. Allah has his reasons for keeping muslims and some others thoughtless...I dont know what it is...but he does know best...
