It sounds like one of those cheesy role-playing exercises you get on training courses.

They seem to work up a good head of steam with all that talk of chopping hands off from a land, culminating in:

But then they run out of steam and it gets a bit lacklustre:

Perhaps if they kept going, they'd be saying things like, "Maybe there's room for improvement", or "Could be worse".

Well, aren't we special to get all that attention. I wonder if they'd get upset if a bunch of Americans got together and chanted "Nuke Mecca" and a few other fun things like that? Party poopers that they are I think they just *might* get more upset over that than they did those stupid cartoons.

"Death to America!", "Death to Israel!" Iranian pilgrims in Mecca. Not exactly Kumbaya, but I appreciate the campfire sing-along spririt.

I am extremely troubled to see this happening at Mecca. These people at Hajj should be concentrating at getting their hair cut, wearing their white robes and getting cleansed spritually...forming a 1-1 connection with Allah (swt) if you will.

That their minds should be distracted in this ghastly way....why come to the Kabah then...why waste your time...this may be a 1 time journey..they may never come back to the birthplace of ROP.

What a waste....At least spare the feelings of the infidel somewhere!!

What bugs me is the absolute unoriginality of the things they chant. I mean, let's face it, we've heard it all before - yeah yeah, death to America, death to Israel etc. It's such a yawn. Sometimes it almost seems as though these lunatics are preprogrammed robots, mechanically reproducing whatever they're told to shout by their idiot leaders. What's the saying in computing? - 'Garbage in; garbage out.'

The crowds look rather dull. Obviously, the whole thing was organized. It is a message to the Islamic World. The real crowd is composed of TV-watchers.

My impression from watching this video is that the crowd is not particularly enthusiastic. I wonder if they realized the cameras were rolling; probably, considering how many angles the crowd was shot from. There were rather few young poeople visible in the crowd as well. Considering how youthful the Arab and Muslim world are, is the indicitive of anything? Do mostly older people go on Hajj? Perhaps this is the reason, perhaps not.

This brings up an interesting issue. To what extent to the rank and file of Muslims take this sort of thing seriously? I suspect Ali Sina is not too far off base when he claims that Islam is fragile, like an overinflated balloon, and can be poppped more easily than one might think. We must redouble our criticism, craft our message properly for its intended audience, reach everyone we can, convince people in the west of the danger, and ensure Islamic movements are exposed, resisted and defeated. As ignorant as westerners are about Islam, Muslims are demoralized. The difference is we have legs to stand on, economic, cultural and intellectual. All they have is deception, jealousy, hypocrisy and hate.

Just went out in my back yard with my two Scottish Terriers, faced Mecca, and chanted:

"Death To Islam! Hater of dogs!

My pooches looked a little puzzled, but then a few dried pigs ears waved enticingly in their furry faces got them into the mood and soon they were barking along merrily.

The visit to the hajj in Mecca should be the place where Islam rises above the frey and proclaims to the non muslim world on how they want it to be perceived as the "the religion of peace".

Would we see such a chant in the great Christian Cathedrals of the world? No we won't. However we do find more and more, that ministers are trying to have their flocks understand the threat that Islam is to the western worlds doctrines of freedom from this totalitarian ideology in its fundamental form.

I wonder where these grizzlies picked up on the court order criticism? If they are critical of the US, it must mean that the US does not measure up to their high standards. This must mean that the Iranian revolutionary council gets their own court orders when they do surveillance on their citizenry. The Iranian courts are known for protecting civil liberties.

Well, Mackie... ...the Wahhabi hosts and their Iranian Shia guests do slap on the happy faces to each other for hajj purposes don't they? The relationship kind of reminds me of a classic old editorial cartoon of Stalin and Hitler exchanging greetings when they made their notorious pact -- using "honorifics" that referenced each others acts of aggression and despotism.

While Ahmadinejad isn't in the Kingdom for Hajj, I read on The Religious Policeman's blog that Bashir al-Assad did come to visit King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the other day, seeking his support and council re: Lebanon no doubt.

I happened to watch the MEMRI segment at the same time as Shepard Smith at FOX news reported on the hajj. The message purported by Shep's segment was the direct antithesis of MEMRITV's segment.

It's sad the vast majority of the viewing audience doesn't take advantage of the opportunity to view RoP's unabashed bloody agenda juxtaposed to carefully crafted PC media presentations.

The smarmfest went on and on and on... They featured a female commentator, a Muslim woman not clad in veil (oh my! how inclusive! how liberal Islam is! how utterly like us! how tolerant! how progressive! how unlike all those cruel racists distortions about Islam we always hear from those Islamophobe meanies...) -- she just couldn't stop sayin' nice stuff about how "pluralistic" the religion of Islam clearly is! 'Why, given all the races and creeds you can clearly see all clad in white among all those white buildings tossing all those white pebbles at those white pillars and all that peaceable coexisting in Saudi Arabia on this "holy pilgrimage stuff -- Islam is surely the epitomy of "pluralism" don't you agree!?!?!'
