"Islam is demonstrably a threat to women and gay people"

In a follow-up to this story, Andy Armitage, former editor of "Gay & Lesbian Humanist," writes in to The Guardian -- "Humanism and Islam":

Your story about Gay & Lesbian Humanist magazine (Gay magazine in race row after calling Islam a barmy doctrine, January 2) gave the impression that I and the assistant editor were forced to resign over comments concerning Islam. We were not forced to resign but did so of our own volition because the committee of the Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association wished to stifle free speech by seeking to vet, and by implication censor, all future material.

Your story was also highly selective. The article that seems to have caused the most offence also said that racism is the "antithesis of humanism" and made the point that many immigrants had "integrated rather well, maintaining a strong cultural identity while ... contributing a great deal to our society ..." Neither the writer of that article nor we as editors are racist. We criticise religions and do not care about the racial origin of people who practice them.

I suggest readers make up their own minds by going to the dossier we have produced on the issue, which is at www.mfebooks.com/G&LH/Intro.htm, which reproduces the material.

The criticism of Islam was no harsher than criticism of all religions has been during the magazine's 25-year life. Criticism has always been of religion itself and its tendency to condemn lifestyles it does not agree with. Christianity has come in for much harsher criticism.

Islam is demonstrably a threat to women and gay people, who are routinely tortured and murdered in Islamic countries, such as Iran. This is fact, not opinion, and should be of great concern in view of the rise of Islam right across Europe. Indeed, the issue said nothing that had not been said in national newspapers by a variety of writers and politicians - including Tony Blair - and we have provided several examples in our dossier.

Dosn't he understand? Attacking Christianity and attacking Islam are two totally different things. Islam is a protected religion and considered a "sacred cow" by the far left. To criticise or attack it in any way is to make oneself an apostate to the far left.

Now how will the Left be able to handle Islamic intolerance when that same intolerance is threatening the rights of one of the Left's battle-horses (the homosexual community)?

Which is it, Ken Livingstone: Homophile, or Islamophile? You can't be both. If you chose to be an islamophile, that makes you not only a homophobe but also mysoginous.

The gay community is unusually influential - particularly within the mass media - and being a minority they will be extremely powerful allies. Notice also that it is much harder to use the "racism" card on a homosexual than it is on a regular conservative. This is going to provide some much needed "entertainment".

Here is more on this issue. The following article appeared in today's online edition of the Times of London:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-1969663,00.html

This is the rub. It's fashionable to criticize the US right for anti-gay statements(think Falwell) and conservative view of woman(barefoot and pregnant), but all I can say is Jerry Falwell and The 700 Club are Betty Friedan or Steinman compared to the mullahs. LOL. This is quite the paradox ain't it. The euroleft criticizes the evil religious right and the pernicious influence of Christianity in the US, and yet defends the Islamic immigrants problems as sacred cows. Whether you agree with the Falwell approach, religious conservative Christian approach IS NOT THE ISSUE. The issue is how does this approach compare to Iran or Saudi or Pakistan. Last time I checked, nobody was in the gallows in Lynchburg, Virginia for homosexual acts. Perhaps this is a bad, off-target analogy, but I don't think so in that CNN had a documentary on the cold war several years ago where it gave a throw-away sentence concerning 20 million dead russians, murdered by Stalin, while in the US the McCarthy era was in full swing. Well 20 million dead against 1-2 dead(by suicide in the US) isn't exactly a battle of equal evils is it? I'm not defending McCarthy, merely pointing out that Stalin is not McCarthy and Falwell's attitude(rightly or wrongly not germain) towards gays or woman doesn't even begin to measure up the the religion of peace.

From The Times article linked by H, F & H, in which "Sir" Icky of the Muslim Council of Britain condems homosexuality as immoral:

Alan Duncan, the most prominent openly gay Conservative MP, said: "This is an absurd medieval view"

"Stephen Pound, the Labour MP for Ealing North, said: "It's a cruel and
vicious blow to strike against people who are born the way they are. We
are living in 21st-century northern Europe, not 7th-century Arabia."

Good to see politicians cricitising Islam for backwardness, as they certainly would Christianity. I'd like to see that phrase "7th century Arabia" more often. It shows the speaker knows something about Islam.

God and Christians do not HATE gay people..

The gay lifestyle is backwards from what God himself planned for men and women...

OK so you dont believe that ...
Fine we wont kill you for your beliefs...

But while the gay and lesbian / transgendered / neutered organizations.....
Where ALL screaming about the pat robertsons and jerry farwells who only did tell the biblical truth ..

These same organizations....
Passed a blank check to the Islamo faschists...
Never saying anything for risk of offending someone....

Compared to the following which would you rather have...

A christian or other Southern baptist preacher making you "Feel uncormfortable"?

Or a jihadist shooting , blowing up gay nightclubs and bars, and afterwards sawing off the heads of the "Gay infidels"...

for years you cried out that the

christians were the racists....
christians were sowing hate..
christians were the real terrorists.

Now that you have allowed the muslims to come in with your multi cuturism policies..

You are finding out that the christians may not be your enemy after all...

Lets see if the Muslims and Islmo faschists share your same "Feelings" and will respect your lifestyle...

somehow i DOUBT it very much...

This is the same thing as the arabs / palestinians screaming to be free from the jews... how horrible it is to live under them

So finally they get their wish
and once they are free from the horrible west / jews / christians

They come running back crying to the jews saying please rule us..

Enjoy your bed you made it... now sleep in it..

And the moderate left. And the center. And the moderate right. And the far right. And virtually every high circulation editor on earth. And the clergy. And academe. And all governments. And...

It annoys, however, that a sudden opposition to Islam develops always, it seems, out of some particular special interest, and not a general distaste for a totalitarian doctrine that stifles human thought and expression. Women discover that Islam is cruel to women. Homosexuals discover that Islam teaches that homosexuals are to be persecuted, and often killed. Dog-lovers discover that Muslims hate dogs (and if there have been a rash of fathomless dog-murders in neighborhoods, throughout Dar al-Harb, where Muslims have moved in, this should come as no surprise). And so on.

But what if "Sir" Iqbal Sacranie had not stated, in a slightly more sedate fashion, the anti-homosexual rantings that one can find in khutbas, in the press, in the handbooks for Muslims on what is halal and haram. Then what? Would Armitage, would Tatchell, would others now outraged be outraged, as they should be, about Islam -- not because their particular ox is gored, but because Islam, as a belief-system, is when taken seriously, and the days of gentle pious villagers, calling themselves "Muslims" without really knowing what that meant, are over -- and the full and menacing Islam is there, for all Muslims to reject, or -- as almost all of them apparently do -- accept, for no better reason than the by-rote repeated belief that "I am a Muslim."

It is good, I suppose, that some homosexuals have now realized that Islam means, for them, great danger, even murder. It is too bad that only when someone senses a particular threat that he is likely to become sufficiently alarmed to dare to question all the soothing pieties about Islam, and to see it for what the ex-Muslims, the apostates, have been telling us for so long, and in such detail, and so convincingly, it is -- and we have not only the testimony of Muslims telling the truth about Islam (especially amongst themselves, or in the past) but the studies of so many tireless scholars of Islam, who before the OPEC money directly or indirectly funded the espositos of this world, before the fashions of the age gave rise to the Olivier Roys and the Gilles Kepels, there were real scholars of Islam, all of whom agreed on the nature of Islam, even if not all could have foreseen the menace that would arise from the bonanza of OPEC oil wealth, from technology that now spreads the faith, or the complete faith, to those who were Muslim only in avague, five-prayers-a-day way, and finally, from the criminally negligent behavior of Western governments that allowed large numbers of Muslims to settle within their own countries -- which is to say, behind what Muslims regard as behind enemy lines.

Why? Why such timidity? Why such wilful ignorance?

Articles like this are very useful to help me make my point to those who read my online journals. With luck 30 people will see this that wouldn't have otherwise. Every little bit helps! Eh, nariz?

Kuffir - You criticise these people for doing the same about Christianity. Theyre Humanists, its what they do. They criticise all religions. At least the had the guts to do the same about Islam. The difference is when they say it about Christianity no on bats an eyelid but when they say it about Islam there's an uproar.

Though I know Islam and Muslims are the worst of the lot doesn't mean Christianity and (particularly American) conservatism should go without criticism. It annoys me that so many religious people assume that they are right, just because of a really old book that they read, but theyre still happy to miss out all the bits that they dont like. Such as eating shellfish and non-procreative sex being equally aboninable to gay sex. So I will criticise it, even though I criticise Islam a lot more strongly. I just wish the MSM would wake up and do the same.

Interested - I'd certainly like to see the phrase "7th century Arabia" used more often too. The story about Iqbal Sacranie, I read on the BBC website. I has a comment from Peter Tatchell (gay rights campaigner) saying it's upsetting for one minority to critise another and that we need to fight homophobia and islamophobia together. As if we should be sticking together. Peter Tatchell can go and F**k himself. He doesn't speak for me and he never will. He needs to wake up and start realising the biggest threat to him comes from Islam and the Muslims.

Hugh, What you say is largely true. I should point out though, that I am not just concerned about Islam because I am gay but I am concerned about Islam for everything in it and the way it affects all of us. I always have been. I think the problem is that the MSM will only cover such stories if they affect a minority, that's as brave as they can be. If anyone calls them Islamophobic they can say they were defending a minority. What you don't see or hear are the conversations by ordinary people evry day about this subject. That just doesn't make the news.

Islam a danger to women and gays?

Goody!

I'm safe! :D

I am concerned about Islam for everything in it and the way it affects all of us. I always have been.

Many of us, though, are less altruistic and need to see that we would be directly disadvantaged under Islam in order to begin to question it in its entirety. Islam's treatment of women was a major influence on my attitude to it. We are not a minority, of course. We are half the population.

If I had to rank aspects of Islam in descending order of nastiness, I'd probably rank them as follows:

1 Wants to convert, kill or subjugate all non-Muslims everywhere. (However unpleasant, if it just confined itself to Saudi Arabia, that would be fine.)

2 Regulates all aspects of life. (If it just had strict rules about fasting, or even strict punishments for some offences, as Singapore does that wouldn't be so bad - you'd still be able to invent things or write books.)

3 Barbaric.

4 Treats women as chattels.

5 No fun.

6 - 100 everything else.

The growth of Islam in the West is a threat to gays, to women, and to progress. In fact, it's a threat to all civilized people!

Time to put up posters in the West Village about Islam and gays.

Don't worry, it's cold in New York my son and I will wear hoods!

I will keep you informed about any encounters I have.

Be Safe, But fight Back,

El Cid rides again.

"... opposition to Islam develops always, it seems, out of some particular special interest, and not a general distaste for a totalitarian doctrine..."
-- posted by Hugh

Principled opposition to Islam cannot happen until we disabuse ourselves of the terribly damaging Twin Cower myths that Islam is a reasonable religion and that Moderate Moslem Man actually exists (unicorn).

One sweltering day in old Malaya, I saw a large dog at the side of the road. It had probably been struck by a passing lorry, and I wondered at it because I had seen no other dogs in all my time in country. It was obviously in pain, and probably needed to be put out of its misery. But since ownership of guns was illegal, I couldn't find one. Since I was playing the role of a Mohammedan, I couldn't go physically handle the dog. All day that dog lay in the sun, whimpering, and it broke my heart. At some point in the evening it disappeared, I'm sure to its grave, though at whose hand I don't know.

I seriously believe it was that day--with the callous disregard for the wounded "impure" animal, and the lack of a firearm to dispatch it cleanly--that did more to fuel my disgust with Mohammedanism than anything else till 9/11. Don't discount the American love of dogs as a path to enlightenment.

It's said that "politics makes strange bedfellows." Haha. Bedfellows. ;)

Anyway, I'd have figured Islam would love dogs-- I mean, they're so blindly devoted and obedient. They probably resent all the qualities of their ideal wife being embodied in something that's off limits.

But if they hate dogs, I'm curious about Islam vs. the vain, finicky, independent (and snuggly) cat.

It's funny how Moslems hate dogs and pigs. Dirty animals.

Those in here who have visited Moslem countries know the squalor and filth in which Mohammedans prefer to live. Maybe they hate dogs and pigs because they represent competition in the on the Filth Front.

I'm sure they were in the vanguard of hygiene in the 7th century, but they need to stop congratulating themselves long enough to realize the rest of civilization has long since surpassed them.

Just because there's no deodorant in the Koran doesn't mean you don't have to use it.

They hate dogs because Mo told them to hate dogs. In August 2001 Nigerians who owned dogs were arrested after the islamic takeover of a major area of the north. I think it's the same area where the taxi bikes were just told to not give rides to women passengers. It's a slow pot coming to a boil. No one notices until it's too late.

Of course, part of the probleme for this lies with the Gay Humanists themselves. For years their "humanism" amounted to little more than virulent denunciations of Christianity. Their covered their asses by filing these very pointed criticism under the generic catagory of "religion

Their utter obsession (prejudice?) with the Falwells and the evangelicals had blinded them to a far greater danger.

Even as late as 2003 the UK's "Outrage", for instance, was still engaging in "church invasions" during Easter week services to denounce Catholic homophobia.

Isn't that laughable?

The spectacle was so unreal and so out of context with the times that I contacted Peter Tatchell and had several intense exchanges with him, demanding how he could be so blinkered and oblivious to the threat radical Islam presented to gays.

To boot, Tatchell's far from stupid; he's written astute articles going as far back as '94 (called "The New Dark Age") highlighting the danger that Muslim fundamentalism represented to The West.

To gay Humanists/Leftists, though, denouncing the "evils" of Christianity was like an opiate, a drug; something that was just too good to give up, and something that may well be their undoing.

A lesson, if ever there was, in the crucial importance of ALWAYS maintaining an open spirit of self-criticism and a healthy taste for reformulations and re-evaluations.

Mary Boyce, the historian of Zoroastrianism, who in the 1970s lived among the diminishing group of Zoroastrians still in Iran, describes how even very young Muslim children would torment the dogs of the Zoroastrians -- apparently dogs are very well-regarded in Zoroastrianism -- as a way to flaunt their power over, and contempt for, these particular Infidels.

Possible theory: Muslim hatred for dogs may have arisen from the desire to distinguish Islam from Zoroastrianism, just as Islam has taken such pains to appropriate bits and pieces of Jewish and Christian lore, but to distinguish its appropriations from those of the Jews and Christians through the distortions that make those figures and stories distinctly different, distinctly part of Islam.

Ownership of dogs is not completely forbidden. If they are an absolute necessity for reasons of security -- guard dogs, for example -- then they may be accepted. But for any other reason, as objects of affection, as companions -- don't be silly. This is Islam.

Alas, your speculation is more generous than mine. My guess is that Mohd. got run out of town one too many times with a pack of dogs at his heels.

Now I will confess an ignorance. There is a story, in either Koran or Ahadith, of how Mohd. slept with dogs who kept him safe in a time of danger. Some mohammedans cite it as a proof that dogs are clean, since the prophet would not lie down with anything that was unclean.

I have also heard tell how infidels divided and destroyed a mohammedan town, based on their knowledge of this story. A crafty infidel disguised himself as a mohammedan, and entered a mosque where the imam was teaching. He asked, "In the story of the cave, what was the color of the dog that protected the Prophet?" And the imam replied, "But everyone knows that the dog was white." Then the infidel replied, "But imam, the imam in the mosque on the other side of town says that everyone knows the color of the dog was black!" And so the infidel went from mosque to mosque, everywere listening to the imam, and then telling that some other imam said different, until all of the mohammedans were so divided into factions that they were incapable of resisting the infidels when they attacked.

Just thought you might like that.

The Hadith also reports Mohammed's intense dislike for women wearing wigs. He promised to murder Jews because apparently back in 7th century Arabia many jewesses wore wigs.

Any theories?

I found some material on Islam and dogs...

Here's a fatwa from Mufti Ebrahim Desai:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1010642/posts

And a dissenting view by a Muslim veterinarian in South Africa:

http://www.islamicconcern.com/dogs.asp

Scroll down on the page for "An Islamic Scholar's Kindly View of Dogs."

Even with some dissent, the prevailing sentiment is clear, though.

And, fyi: Cats are good (not that it's news to me):

http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ds=qa&lv=browse&QR=7004&dgn=4&ln=eng

And, fyi: Cats are good (not that it's news to me)

Nor to me. Cats are wonderful. Love of cats is probably the only thing I've got in common with Mohammed.

From Shinolite's link:

The great Sahaabi Abu Hurayrah (literally “Father of the Kitten”) was so called because he used to love cats and keep them. He became well known by this name and people forgot his real name, until the scholars disputed concerning his real name and there were nearly thirty different opinions as to what it was. Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr said in al-Istee’aab: “The most correct view is that his name was ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Sakhr but none of them disputed that he was Abu Hurayrah.”

Batty.

El Cid - ride by "Don't Tell Mama" and tell Sidney Rebecca Bynum sent you.

The city's best gay cabaret, hands down.

I love cats too. Hundreds of cats, thousands of cats, millions and billions and trillions of cats.

But I must say, of all the animals I've known and loved in my life, my little dog is the one who captured my heart and won't give it back. Fie on the house of Muhammad for teaching hatred for God's creatures. A dog does nothing but enrich one's life by giving us a tiny glimpse into the incredible wonder of nature. How individual they are. How intelligent. How sensitive.

How cruel it is to be cruel to them - heartrending, because they are so trusting.

millions and billions and trillions of cats.

"Millions of Cats", by Wanda Gag - that can only be her real name as you wouldn't pick a pseudonym like that - was my favourite story when I was four. I heard it millions and billions and trillions of times and never tired of it, though my mother did, which was an incentive to learn to read. Years later it was my nephew's favourite story, and I've read it to him - my old copy - millions etc of times.

I've never had a dog, but I know what you mean. Islam is such an unfeeling religion. Dogs are lovely. Mostly. But how ridiculous to say that dogs are "unclean", merely because Mo didn't like them much. It's not the worst thing about Islam, but then Islam seems not to distinguish between the important and the trivial, merely between the permitted and the forbidden. Sex with a nine year old girl is OK. Pet poodles are the devil's work. Barking mad.

calum,
While there are many very visible exceptions,
by and large American Christians do not want to
kill or physically abuse gays.

Similarly, your comment about conservatives
is misdirected. While many conservatives would
question whether there should be legal gay
marriage, I doubt that large numbers would wish
to physically harm people for being gay.

I can personally attest to the fact that I knew some European leftists who thought that gays
should not be allowed to be teachers, Will you
direct your ire at leftists then?

And finally, I think the example of Israel
where gay "palestinians" flee to escape the
inevitable honor killing, should conclude my
speech.

Yes, islam is anti dog too.

There is no "power" or "feel good" to be anti-totalitarian. The special interest groups aren't interested in the "big picture" since they can't feel superior to others.

Dogs are a daily reminder of pure, unadulturated, unconditional love. That's why Muslims hate them. Love is the most dangerous and threatening thing of all to Muslims. Because they can't control it. It's bigger and more powerful than them and thus a constant, grating affront.

Women are not a "special interest group", any more than men are. The fact that Islam treats women - half of humanity - like chattels is not a side issue.

"It annoys, however, that a sudden opposition to Islam develops always, it seems, out of some particular special interest, and not a general distaste for a totalitarian doctrine that stifles human thought and expression. ..posted by Hugh"

I'll take it anyway it comes...

Yes indeed, Interested, Gag's work is lovely.

And if Islam is materialism expressed as religion, then one would expect its morality to be arbitrary and concepts of good and evil to often be reversed.

I keep thinking of that gay couple in that Christopher Guest movie "Best in Show." What would they say about all this? "Go ahead and throw us off the empire state building, you savages, but spare Miss Woofles!"

Rebecca, this is completely OT, but, if you like "Best in Show", have you seen "Spinal Tap" or "A Mighty Wind"?

If I were Mohammed and could write a book telling people what to do, everyone would have to see "Spinal Tap". "These go up to eleven..."

-- from a posting by "Interested" above

The book by Wanda Ga'g (Hungarian-American artist, chiefly remembered for "Millions of Cats"; about ten years ago an entire large-format book about her was published; I even bought it, out of devotion to "Millions of Cats," and to the little old woman and the little old man and the little kitty that survived it all, but now have no idea where it is) has been mentioned at Jihadwatch before -- not because it is about cats, but because it contains, as so many fairy tales and children's stories do, a useful lesson.

For example, deep within this comment:

"Take away Western aid, or Western help, or Western aid-workers or guest-workers or soldiers, take away any Western presence, whether from an oil-rich Muslim state or one without any oil, and one will get a state that tends toward anarchy and violence. Somalia is another example. So is Pakistan, which without American aid and debt forgiveness, and remittances from, and contacts with, the West, would sink even further. This sinking should not be stopped. Peri Bathous -- The Art of Sinking not In Poetry, but In Statecraft -- should be a subject taught in the military academies and universities. How to play on the natural weaknesses of mortal enemies, how not to resurrect them but to allow them to battle among themselves. Pass out copies of "Millions of Cats" by Wanda Gag. Think of the moral. More Yemens and Somalias would, from the Infidel point of view, be most welcome. For Somalia and Yemen at the moment can do us little harm, preoccupied -- perhaps forever -- with their own internecine strife. If properly bottled up, so that they cannot move to the West, they will have to figure out for themselves what they can or cannot continue to do. It is like Iran. Twenty-five years of the Islamic Republic of Iran has done great damage to the image, and influence, of Islam. An unintended -- but in retrospect a natural -- consequence of direct rule by Muslim clerics. Such a disaffection had to be.

The other strategy -- give them aid, so that "poverty" will not make people "turn to terrorism" (what nonsense), being careful to say nice things about Islam at every turn and trying always to boost Muslim self-esteem by repeating the cockeyed Muslim view of history -- is exactly the wrong thing to do. Nor will building "democracy" (which could only be undertaken by those who are not clear themselves on what "democracy" is, or how long it took to develop in the advanced, non-Musim, Western world), do much to limit the Islamic threat to the non-Muslims of the world. We are asked to accept on faith, as a given (etant donne) that "democracy" -- defined primitively as merely free elections -- is enough to limit or deflect or diminish the fervor of Islam.

Why should we accept this? The historical record provides evidence of the exact opposite. Cf. Turkey, from 1924-2004 (a good 80 years to study). Cf. Western Europe, where the faith of those Muslims born in Europe is more uncompromising than that of their fathers.

So Wanda G'ag or Ga'g (I'm not sure where to put the apostrophe, not being Hungarian, though in late 1956 friends did start to call me Laszlo) is a kind of tutelary spirit for this website.

Rebecca, I don't understand your post.

Who is Sidney?

Who is Rebecca Bynum?

I don't plan to be confrontational and handing out flyers at a club would expose me more that I want at the moment.

If you are in New York, look around Washington Square Park and on Christopher street.

The posters I will use come form, www.standwithus.com.

It reads.

Gay Rights Under Islam

and lists www.co-jet.org as a website to go to for more info.

If we can sow the seeds of doubt and questioning among the gay population about Islam and yes although posters are a crude way to do it, it will make the gay community more aware of the greater danger that Islam posses.

Perhaps I can reach a few thousand.

People do something, take some small action and over time it will become an ocean.

Very insightful Caroline and an insightful comment that expands outwards and if probed in depth gives more insight into the Muslim mind...Islam is the antithesis of love (for anything but their Muhammad). Do Muslims love, can they love? I doubt it, except to love their collective, their ummah, their Qur'an ,Allah and death, all other forms of love and pleasure are haram.

Temporal deprivation and denial, with promises of extemporal fulfillment and excess.

"We were not forced to resign but did so of our own volition because the committee of the Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association wished to stifle free speech by seeking to vet, and by implication censor, all future material."

Do I see a crack (no pun intended)in the gay-pc left-islam alliance? These gay dudes have worked out that Islam is dangerous for women and gays, so they're banished from the club? Islam is also no good for men and heteros; its no good for little muslim girls, its not even good for their young men who think they'll have bulk sex with dark-eyed beauties if they explode in our presence.

Not being gay or female I find the headline merely needs to read:

"ISLAM IS DEMONSTRABLY A THREAT TO PEOPLE".

It shrinks the brain, shrivels the heart, constricts the soul, zombifies the body and kills the future.

How much worse does it need to be to repel more than a few irritated interest groups when their panties are put in a twist as they FINALLY hear its naked voice?

Doesn't anybody in these self-absorbed claques realize the ABSOLUTELY PRESSING NEED to READ THE DAMNED KORAN after 9/11?

The contempt that Islam has for everything but itself is mind-bogglingly self-evident on almost every page of this plagiarized playbook for paranoid pinheads.

On the subject of Gays and Islam.

On another forum (now extinct) earlier this year, I was called a bigot for posting quotes from the Qur'an, and one of my accusers was a Gay Australian, (so he said), and he continued calling me a bigot and making allusions to me being a NAZI, even after I posted stats of the executions of gays in Iran.

Paradoxically, if one googles Gay beheading Saudi Arabia, you will find web pages that give tour guides to "cruising spots" in Saudi Arabia... evidently the malls of Jeddah and Riyadh are hot, and the Arabs brag that they can freely walk the malls holding hands, while men can't even look at, much less touch women.

Google John Walker Lindh Gay lover and you'll find info on his Pakistani lover.

The attitude of Muslims towards women, are reminiscent of the Greek and Roman attitude towards women.. that of breeding machines.

That being the case, with women being more than 50% of the population and having a commodity which mean so vitally need, I can only blame the women for allowing, permitting and promoting their miserable lowly status.

Men so do enjoy tussling with other men, in homo erotic situations don't they, be they wrestling or football, or even that most homo erotic male bonding experience of all war. from ancient Greece to modern times.

Muslims do not love living, breathing, flesh and blood, they only love the inanimate Qur'an, their blood-thirsty, unknowable deity, and their grisly prophet.

Men are forbidden to love their wives or become too attached to them, lest they fall under the control of evil women. Allah does not share; he wants his hate-filled minions to love only him.

I can't imagine not having a dog; I've had at least one as far back as I can remember. But life's simple pleasures might civilize these primitive savages and maybe even introduce them to a world of laughter, joy, hope, spontaneity, and beauty. That would not please the beast, allah. People who love and laugh might forget to grovel and submit, and we can't have that.

It is proven that the way to sway opinion in these modern times is by mass advertising. That means TV, radio, papers, magazines, and billboards.

ANGRY INDIGNANT AGGRIEVED AGGRESSIVE OBSTINATE MENDACIOUS VIOLENT

It blows my mind that no group of wealthy individuals has seed-funded an "Educate Yourself About Islam" ad campaign.

After all, it took a single check from George Soros to seed-fund his globo-socialism program.

I wouldn't put it quite that way, but I share your frustration. Too much needs to be given to various universities to put up buildings with the donor's name on it, or to endow a chair for someone -- Cornel West, Homi Bhabha, Diane Eck, or some World Institute for the Man Who Will End World Poverty, Jeffery Sachs, and his loyal collaborator Mary Robinson (barely back from Durhamfest). And there are greenhouses to be bought and donated to the "Palestinians." Jizyah for Pakistanis. "Arab-Jewish" Youth Camps. The Save-the-Whole-Wide-World Federation. The monuments that need to be put up. The fellowships named after the other donor, the one who hasn't yet had a building or two named after him. The whole thing.

Oh, it gets on one's nerves all right. In my case, all the way straight past the bank.

-It annoys, however, that a sudden opposition to Islam develops always, it seems, out of some particular special interest, and not a general distaste for a totalitarian doctrine that stifles human thought and expression.

As I have previously stated, I am a homosexual, so I think I should chime in. Please know that I have always disliked rigidity in any religious dogma, be it Islam or Christianity. Although I am well educated,in such things as law and languages. I have never been religious and I was definetely uninterested in Islam. I simply did not know what it was REALLY about. I think there were MANY like me. I (and maybe gays/liberals) had thought that Islam was in the dust heap of history. It simply did not seem to pose a threat.

By the way, trust me, there is no sudden opposition, they voices heard in the gay/straight liberal world have hardly said a word about Islam. A few gays frequently tell me they prefer Moslems to Christians because Christians are "just as bad" and Moslems are not "oppressors"!!!! Upon hearing this, I nearly turn beat red.

Let's go back a moment and examine homosexuals.
I think it is safe to say that homosexuals have been SEVERELY discriminated against in the past in all societies. Perhaps we are not killed openly in western countries- well at least not frequently anymore - there persists tremendous hatred for homosexuals as a result of religious dogma that most hopefully reject. Look at this website. www.Godhatesfags.com. Go ahead, look at it and maybe at first you will laugh, but read on and tell me if you think it is so funny. Members of a Baptist church are themselves acting like terrorists. I know that there are far fewer like them, but in our zeal to condemn Islam, we forget that fundamentalism can arise again the Christian world. It is FAR from dead.

It is for these reasons that the knee-jerk reaction is to attack the religious institutions that we perceive as having been used to attack us for so long. Because we live in Christian countries, they naturally took out our frustrations on what we saw as the oppressive religion: Christianity. Admittedly, many gays went WAY overboard, but I again ask that you consider some of the extreme forms of discrimination gay people endure in this society even to this day. For example, consider what conditioning a homosexual young person/child got when he or she was 'obviously’ or 'presumed to be a gay or lesbian child. He or she would experience on a daily basis - severe taunting and beatings, often leading to self-hatred and frequently suicide. Add to that a mix rejection by families, frequently for religious reasons, and you can at least begin to understand the reason why such a person acts in this way.

Please know that I am simply asking you all to at least understand why gays have the animosity they have.

I despise Islam because unlike Christianity (or other religions), there is no room for real discussion. A violation of the Sharia can be death. Moreover, the teachings of Christ completely contradict the Sharia, even where there is 'agreement' that some things are sinful.

As I stated, I personally detest Islam and can clearly see that is a terrible cult. But I am among the few conservative gays that see the threat. Consider: www.Andrewsulllivan.com. Some gays are great thinkers, really we are. Most liberals, gay and straight alike, are so opposed to the current 'war agenda' and 'oppression of the third world', that they cannot even consider that 'radical' Christianity is not in fact the threat. After all, they see Christian countries with the most powerful militaries, best weapons, and most money. Additionally, they cannot see anything good coming from either - especially Bush, whom they see as likening the war on terror to a religious war that he wishes to fight due to his own religious reasons.

Nonetheless, I cannot speak for all gays. What I can do is fight hard to defeat Islam. I will do whatever I have to do to awaken my friends, gay and straight, about Islam. By the way, my posts here are not a means of seeking approval from anyone but myself, as I am the person that maintains my dignity. Please know that I am an ally, not a foe.

Do do I hate Islam merely because I'm a homosexual and I feel threatened? I can assure you that's NOT the case! I will fight for my family, for my country and most of all because I want to safeguard western civilization!

Sorry for the typos, I'm tired.

Mohammed (peanut butter upon him) said "The black dog is the devil." (hadith) I would bet he was nearsighted. One of my dogs is very large, black, and so stealthy at night she scares me.

But I also have Mohammed's cat, a striped tabby with the "M" on her head. She gets along great with Mohammed's devil dog.

Once again proving, what? I'm not sure.

I do know the many insights of Mohammed don't stand up to the most minute scrutiny.

Beagle, it proves that Mohammed was full of crap. Cats and dogs can get on well if they're used to each other, particularly if they've grown up together. It's often said that you're either a cat person or a dog person, but this is nonsense, and you can easily be both. (There are two kinds of people - those who divide the world into two kinds of people and those who don't.)

Hugh, thanks for the information about "Millions of Cats" and Wanda G'ag/Ga'g/('Gag/Gag'/'G'a'g'???). To think that I have heard and read that story millions, billions and trillions of times - and remember, English billions are bigger than American billions - without knowing that it had the potential to be a "tutelary spirit for this website", that Wanda Gag was a Hungarian name, and, most importantly, that G'ag/Ga'g had an apostrophe. I must tell my nephew the news. Like all six year olds, he is particularly concerned about apostrophes. On his seventh birthday, as a special treat, I'll tell him about the Oxford comma.

El Cid, Sidney Meyer is a genius impressario of the first order and proprieter of the fantastic little club, "Don't Tell Mama" 343 W 46th St. Rebecca Bynum is me - clear now?

Kafir nonbeliever, I am concerned that the homosexual lobby in pushing an anti-Christian agenda and that the push for gay marriage could be a real undoing for the nuclear family which I believe to be the foundation of our civilization. We all need to find some way to band together for our common survival, so we do not end up like the millions and billions and trillions of cats (who all ate each other up).

No to all hate speech legislation!!

If speech against the gay lifestyle is criminalized, how can speech against Islam be justified?

You've got to win a little, lose a little

Alarmed Pig Farmer, before you get to the point of a larger patron donating a large check, you need to reach them. While personal introduction is the best way, and believe me I'm trying with all the people I know, you must build global attenton. Puting up posters in many langauges in infidel cities around the world, with a simple set of questions and facts, will buld the enegy that I believe will bring us a large donar.

Alarmed Pig Farmer, I beleive that a well organized truth campaign using an inexpensive, low tech media can go very far. Street posters, some filling whole walls are currently used to sell stuff in New York because they are put up in target areas, with a specific demografics(gay parts of New York) and give you great bang for the buck. Add to this, power of the web to distribute and connect people around the world and you have the first step before wr can raise the money to do a Soro's style, moveonorg thing.

I realize, that tis website is not the best place for this, in that it's purpose if far more important, that of presenting unbiased information, educational knowledge about the Jihad and the Dihimmi events in the world, and reaching policymakers and government types with clear review of the issues. A think tank.

I have been reading this site for over a year and it has increased my level of education on the subject of Islam and have not commented on grassroots type of actions out of fear of tainting the important work that Hugh, Robert, and Rebecca are doing.

Perhaps a sister site Jihadwacth Action or Dihimmiwatch Action, could be created dedicated to action, oraganization, and the creation of global grassroots network of those that struggle against the Jihad, Da'Wa and Dihimmitude by citizens of the world of all religions and races in all the countires affected by the Islamic invasion.

I believe that grassroot efforts if strong enough will link up in time with those in goverment.

There it is, my cards are on the table.

American - I think you miss my point. Just because I critise Islam (more harshly than I criticise anything else) doesn't mean I should stop criticising other things. And yes I do criticise leftists too. All the time.

Rebecca JW - "gaymarriage could be a real undoing for the nuclear family which I believe to be the foundation of our civilization". HOW??? How does a gay couple getting married affect your life, your family, or anyone elses. If I get married will your family suddenly fall apart? Will straight people stop getting married? Will they stop having children? Your marriage cannot affect my life and mine cannot affect yours. Is it right that a gay couple can be together 50 years and when one dies the other loses everything because they couldn't get married. I don't want special treatment but I do want equality. Is that too much too ask? The idea that gay marriage would destroy families is absolute nonsence. Is your family really that weak that somebody elses relationship could destroy it. I'm sure you would think not, so why would you think it could do that to anyone else? I don't want to take away your right to say such things, just don't expect me to be quiet about it.

" I don't want special treatment but I do want equality. Is that too much too ask?" - Calum

In the area of marriage and family building, yes it is.

El Cid - The second grassroots meeting where I live is being held in next week. I will bring up your suggestion about flyers. It's a good one.

"Is it right that a gay couple can be together 50 years and when one dies the other loses everything because they couldn't get married." - calum

Balderdash. You can do anything you want with your property provided you give Big Brother his share.

The right to property is the one metaphysical right left to us. It is embedded in our language, but still could be removed. Protect that right and you will have left something for future generations of that is of real worth.

Rebeca, Robert and Hugh should have my El Cid email, it will allow you to send a message to me at my top secret undisclosed locationville here in the city, which is guarded by my ferouse and much loved dog Max -Boston Terrier pup.

Oh did I fail to mention also protected by, my legal firearm, Maxium, who I just took for a spin at the fireing range in Queens and is in great form, neatly tucked away and locked in it's NYPD approved carrying case with all it's papers at the ready.

God Bless and Sempre Fidelius to all my friends in Iraq, I'm to old to go but fight on the homefront.

Sorry, the above should read "Ferocious Dog Max"

I am not important at all, nariz.

However, you Did once tell 3rdtimelucky that you were 'morally, mentally and physically superior.' Especially to Christians (you Do seem to prevaricate about them quite a bit I notice).

Zeig heil.

I Do, however, Miss KJ. He was and is one of the best writers to come to this site.

Gays critising islam, I am dreaming, criticise my Catholic Church is cool! but islam, I think that Zerolo doesn´t do that.

El Cid, or anyone with flyers, please get into contact with me, at least via email. I can distribute those around the liberal metropolitan areas of Southern California (LA, SD). I would gladly do it.

Thank you, Kafir Nonbeliever you can go to www.standwithus.com, and print pdf"s on your computer.

I plan to design a series of posters that people on JW can download, I'm just waiting on some help with the copy.

Wouldn't it be great if we could have a global poster campaign that simply increases awareness of the problems with Islam and can direct people to books and websites.

The general Leftist attitude concerning criticism of Christianity vs. criticism of Islam may be illustrated by an analogy:

A group of people live in a house which they jointly rent.

Renters generally divide themselves as those who live in the Right side of the house, and those who live in the Left.

This house is in a rural area, far from law enforcement.

This house has a nasty, incompetent and corrupt landlord.

One day, the house is surrounded by a motorcycle gang brandishing guns and torches.

The "Left" renters insist on maintaining the Problem of the Landlord as the #1 front-burner issue on the agenda, even as shotguns are heard and windows are shattering and someone smells smoke. Some of the "Right" renters have the audacity to say that it is more rational to put the Landlord Problem on a back burner for now, while the house is being beseiged. The "Left" renters and those of the "Right" who have long ago become influenced by the Left renters consider the rational response to the motorcycle gang to be, in fact, irrational.

The consensus stands: the Problem of the motorcycle gang will remain a #2 back-burner issue, and those who insist on prioritizing it will be branded as "Hell's Angelophobes".
