Well, truth to be told the Ahmaddiya are about as violent as Quakers. The interesting thing is to see this guy claiming the Ahmaddiya to be as valid a sect of Islam as the jihadis. There is virtually no other sect of Islam that considers the Ahmaddiya to be remotely valid Muslims, primarily because they claim the Ahmaddiya don't give Mohammed his proper due as the last prophet. Suggest to a supposedly tolerant guy like Stephen Schwartz that the Ahmaddiya are Muslims and he gets his fur up in a way he doesn't even for the evil, ROP-hijacking Wahhabis.

Of course, the Ahmaddiya could possibly become violent if they became big enough to wield some real power.

The most distressing thing about this constant stream of absolute lies from the usual (plus the odd unusual) Islamic sources is not in the incredible blatancy of their lies but in the frenzied desire that many westerners, including those in government, show to believe this trash.

Rather like the lies pouring out of Iran about the Holocaust by leaders of the religion which has killed probably 100x more people than Hitler and Stalin ever did and besides who. make the Chinese Communists of the 50s and the Khemer rouge, look like amateurs.

Islam has been censoring the truth and lying to the whole world since before Muhammad died as he himself justified this action. God only knows how much truth they have destroyed along with he 60,000 churches. Thye have to lie to cover up their 1500 years of pillage, rape and murder.

However,you can hardly blame the indoctrinated moronic muslim masses for believing in this bulsh*t as what choice do they have? Since Big Brother Muhammad is always watching and always telling them what to believe..

But when western "intellectuals" (I would love to find out just how you earn this title...is it a function of gullibility, stupidity or gross intellectual arrogance?) re-iterate it as a self proven proof because someone, who purports to be a religious leader, says so, it makes me wonder how we ever pulled civilisation out of the morass that groups like islam left it in.

Ahmadi missionaries for their brand of not-quite-kosher Islam have an extensive program in sub-Saharan Africa. Because the Ahmadi sect was were founded by someone in the last century who claimed the status of Prophet, of course they cannot be regarded as full or real Muslims by other Muslims. And the Ahmadis are, it is true, less violent, less aggressive, less given to the Jihad, than the non-Ahmadi, "real" Muslims.

What happens, then, is this. The Ahmadis spread their cult in black Africa. Their peaceful ways, along with the Total Explanation of the Universe, finds favor. They are relatively mild, and a relaxed syncretism at first prevails. But then, along come those bad old Saudi missionaries, and they have the money, and the power, and now those "Ahmadi" Muslims are transformed, little by little, into -- the other kind.

It is not a deliberate bait-and-switch. It is just what has been happening. That is why even the most seemlingly sweetness-and-light brand of Islam, if it opens a mental or emotional breach within communities formerly animist or Christian, through which breach come rushing after the sinister Wahhabis, as they have been, is such a danger.

Most likely Ahmadi Islam got its start in the perception, once the British had established themselves, that there was something wrong with Islam, something that needed to be fixed. Some Muslims in India, not wishing of course to drop Islam altogether, found the solution, such as it was, in flocking to this latest version of an attempt, given the obvious superiority of the Western ways and rulers, to rescue Islam by modifying it. Unfortunately, like all the attempts by some to reform Islam in the period 1880-1940 or so, it came to nothing. Islam remains -- Islam. And the hostility of almost all Muslims to the Adhadis remains as well. But nonetheless, it is they who because of their seeming sweet-reasonableness and mildness, manage to make certain areas safe for Islam -- including the Wahhabi version that finds the mental ground already prepared, the idea of Islam accepted, the people already calling themselves "Muslims" and thus, in many cases, susceptible to being transformed.

A dangerous one-two. Not intentional. The Ahmadis are not there to soften up the Infidels. But that is exactly the effect of what they are doing.

If this lund says this and claims to be an Ahmadi then he is lying or does not agree/understand with the core values of the Ahmadi. I can tell you that Ahmadis are some of the most gentle and sweetest people you can meet.

I know that the Ahmadi are trying to grow (over 10million) but there has to be some sort of "quality control". I think that it is extremely dangereous to recruit Ahmadis from "cannon fodder" who do not understand the essence of Ahmadi Islam and make this kind of nonsense statement.

For Bajwah to say this shows me that he has no idea of the core values of the Ahmadi.

I agree with some of the postees here that they will pollute the sweet smell and fragrance of the Ahmadi. One bloody event and we will be lumped in with the rest and lose our "special status".

I worry about Ahmadi particularly who are not from South Asia.....particularly from African communities whose short fuses simply cannot prepare them for "Ahmadiship" (for want of a better word).

May Allah (swt) protect & keep the special status of the Ahmadis safe.

The Ahmadi dream is just one more sandcastle that is bound to be destroyed by the rising tide of Islam.
