Honor killing, on the other hand – which has always been an integral aspect of Palestinian life – began gathering momentum. With horrifying zest, weapon-wielding fathers, brothers, uncles and sometimes mothers, hunt down their daughters and sisters and commit shocking acts of violence for real and imagined immoral transgressions.
The Arab motivation for murdering their own daughters flows from the same cultural wellspring that produces suicide bombers. The defensive form of honor, called ird, is consumed with female sexual purity and manifests itself in the murder of its own to restore family honor, whereas the offensive manifestation, sharaf, requires positive actions implemented to heighten social status and increase family honor. As Palestinian society retreats from its failure to infiltrate the daily life of Israeli citizens with death and destruction, it compensates by killing its own and depositing ird in its honor bank...
During a particularly brutal spate of honor killings in early 2005, five Palestinian women were murdered in four separate incidences over a short period of time. Faten Habash spent six weeks in hospital after she threw herself from her family’s fourth floor apartment window. Upon her return home, her father bludgeoned her to death with an iron bar.
Two days later, Maher Shakirat attacked his three sisters. The eldest, Rudaina, was eight months pregnant and had been admonished by her husband after he claimed she’d had an affair. Maher forced his sisters to drink bleach before strangling them. The youngest, Leila, escaped but had serious internal injuries from the effect of the bleach.
Rafayda Qaoud shared a bedroom in her Ramallah home with her two brothers. After they raped and impregnated her, she gave birth to a baby boy who was adopted by another family. Her mother then gave Rafayda a razor blade and ordered her to slash her own wrists. When she refused to commit suicide, her mother pulled a plastic bag tightly over her head, sliced open her daughter’s wrists and beat her with a stick until she was dead...
Read it all, if you have the stomach for it.
Why does the author put the blame for this on the "revolution" and by extention, on Israel? Because there were 5 reported in early 2005? I have a book written in the 1800's in which the author, who was writing about his visit to "Palestine," describes the phenomena of honor killings. The Arabs and the rest of the world need to start acknowledging that Israel is not at the root of all the world's problems.
I had read this piece earlier today at Frontpage. It is an excellent example of something that Ali Sina has been saying for so long (that the first victims of Islamic intolerance are Muslims themselves).
This is why public stoning rituals are becoming so rare in the Muslim world...they are un-needed; family can usually be relied upon to take care of biz. And then gullible Westerners dismiss the barbaric practice of stoning because it is "rarely if ever carried out"...(a liberal acquaintence's words in a conversation the other day).
I responded affirmatively, that in Iran for example, they've largely graduated to hanging accused adulteresses, at least in the big cities.

Some people may be asking what does this have to do with Islam.
The hadiths say the prophet ordered the stoning of a woman who came to him to confess her adultery. She was also pregnant. Mohammad, man of compassion, let her live until she gave birth and had weaned the infant, and then he had her stoned to death. (The verses about stoning never made it into the Koran, and the story goes that these verses were actually eaten by a domestic animal).
The Koran is contradictory on the punishment for adultery. One part says that women guilty of it must be confined to the household until death.
(BTW, anyone wonder why Muslims commit so many gang rapes? One facilitating reason might be the requirement for four witnesses to a crime of adultery. If four Muslims gang-rape a woman, and she accuses them of rape, these four male "witnesses" can simply claim that she engaged, voluntarily, in adultery. Then she, the actual victim, will get punished!) Another part says adulterers will be slaughtered (33:60-62). Still another part says they should receive about 80 (or is it 100?) lashes, administered without mercy.
The Koran contains many contradictions and discrepancies, but it is consistently brutal whatever way you look at it.

I once had a long conversation about Muslim society with a client of mine who happened to be a psychologist. Her take was that Muslim women are so marginalized and powerless that their only ticket to empowerment is through the coat-tails of their male children. They end up completely spoiling and over-indulging their sons as a matter of course, while venting their frustrations onto their daughters. This is the typical dynamic in the Arab-Muslim household.
The boy grows up afraid of his father, yet relates to women as if everything on God's earth is his birth-right.
The girl grows up with the role of door-mat thoroughly implanted into her psyche...as the natural order of things.

The main weakness of the male Muslim is his delusion that he's a man. But his belief system and his culture prevents maturity.
The Koran says, "Men are superior to women on account of the qualities which God (Allah) hath gifted one above the other" and "Men are in charge of women".
After a Muslim boy outgrows his love for his mother because of dependence, he sees her only as an ignorant drudge, dominated and enslaved by his father. So he doesn't develop normal feelings toward women. Without normal feelings toward half his species, he can't mature. So, like his own father, he is in a state of arrested adolescence, a teenager, regardless of his actual years.
As you already know, most boys don't really like girls. To a boy who hasn't reached puberty, girls aren't of much use or interest. But after puberty, the normal boy is sexually attracted to girls and becomes emotionally attracted and will bond with a girl, as Nature has decreed.
But the boy who is not able to become emotionally attracted to a girl will become emotionally bonded with other males. He needs sex but he doesn't like females. Unless he becomes an active homosexual, his emotional and often unconcious attraction to his buddies is repressed, giving him guilt feelings and doubts about his masculinity. This is the abusive boyfriend and husband. He will not admit, even to himself, that underneath his show of masculine domination, he would be better off turning himself in at the nearest gay bar.
This pattern is random in our culture, but typical in Muslim cultures. To the Muslim male, sex is for reproduction and if to fulfill a need, is somehow degrading, as he needs something from an inferior. So is it any wonder that most male Muslims are latent homosexuals?
To carry through on the teenageer analogy, consider the Muslim nations. They are each run the way teenagers would run a nation. They are immature in every respect. Every Muslim nation is a despotism and except for the oil-rich nations, they are all impoverished.
Their leaders, like most teenagers, are immature, ignorant and primitive. They believe they know everything, can do anything, can get away with anything, are always right and everyone else is wrong. In short, they can't be reasoned with and also like teenagers, have no grasp of the laws of cause and effect.
Most Muslim males are noticeably feminine, in spite of their beards and guns. It is common all over the Middle East to see two males walking hand-in-hand. And what other belief system demands the faithful to pray five times a day with his behind in the air, as if inviting Allah to sodomize him?

They must have a grasp, or they wouldn't survive early childhood. They surely know that they would get shocked if they stuck their fingers in a power plug, or drown if they didn't know how to swim, or they would set their house on fire if they threw a cigarette in a gas canister, or they might get STDs if using prostitutes.
What's interesting is to see when and how that cause-effect connection becomes irrelevant or reoriented by other demands, such as murdering the enemy by blowing yourself up.
This post reaffirms my belief that islam by its very nature creates a psyhcological deficiency in its followers. The muslim world is facing calamity because they are heading head long into the mental brick wall that mohamed so thoughtfully erected. Because muslims are for the most part thoroughly brainwashed ignorant and uneducated people incapable of free thought and vocal expression, once they are unable to vent their suicidal and maniacal frustrations against an imaginary enemy the likes of hamas, islamic jihad, Arafat and hizballah have created they must naturally turn on themselves.
So, by extension, if we hold these honour killings as evidence of the plague that islam represents then what it says about muslim women both born and converted is damning. These women firmly believe that islam has made them free, elevated, and repected, rather than the reality that they are seen as giant vaginas in the eyes of every single depraved muslim.
With respect to Iran, I firmly believe that the mullahs are next in line for vaporisation. With their midgit president digging himself deeper into a hole everytime he opens his mouth he is forcing his own hand. Along with Assad of Syria they represent the Laurel and Hardy of islamic politcs or to be more accurate they are without a doubt political zygotes.

nobody mentioned the Muslim girl in St Louis, USA, who was done in by Mom and Dad about 15 years ago. The father's name was Zein Issa and the girl's name was Palestina.
Yuk - wandering into this sick mental territory is like looking under a rock and seeing all the creepy crawlers squirming in the dirt, hidden from the sun. The all-encompassing burkha, which blocks out the sunlight, is the perfect metaphor for all that is deep and dark and hidden in the Muslim world - deep and dark and hidden like the truth about Muhammad. No wonder this culture feels such deep shame. Everything is a lie. When one's whole life is based on a lie, deep shame and endless pathology is the result.

That sort of spoiling and over-indulgence is one of the primary causes of narcissistic personality disorder. It is all the more likely when a mother is forced to express her own suppressed ego needs THROUGH her child. The child is made to feel extremely special but the ego created isn't real because it isn't based on real love. It's just a puffed up fantasy projection of someone else's ego needs, which makes it very fragile and easily threatened. When such an ego is threatened, it feels like death (deep shame/annihilation) and the person reacts like you'd expect them to react when literally threatened with death - the reaction is rage and violence. Then you add in the sexual abuse. Pedophiles often woo their little victims and make them feel very "special", even though that is also a lie and it’s really the pedophiles own ego needs which are being gratified (such as the need to feel powerful and in control and to escape the feelings of ego-vulnerability which characterize sexual relations with mature adults).
I have read some accounts that question whether Muhammad himself wasn't sexually abused. It would actually make sense as an explanation for his own pedophilia, not to mention his obvious narcissism.

My understanding is that these pathologies do occur within Christian families but that they are far more culturally codified within Muslim families and hence far more prevalent. It raises the question of to what extent Islam, because of Muhammad and his own pathology, has served to "lock-in" and perpetuate behaviors that might have otherwise been mostly shunned and transcended as cultural norms over the centuries.
The problem is that narcissistic personality disorder is notoriously resistant to treatment because people with NPD usually can’t even acknowledge that they HAVE a problem. Prisons are full of people suffering from NPD (I've seen figures as high as 60%), which makes it no coincidence that Islam has a special attraction for this population. Islam makes NPD normative. It’s all there – being very special and “entitled” to special treatment, the rage and violence when their special status is questioned, the lack of empathy for their victims and so on.
What, however, finally compels folks with NPD to come for treatment is that their entire lives are in shambles and they simply can’t run from the consequences of their behavior anymore. There’s a lesson there for well meaning folks who would like to “save” such people. The lesson is – keep them at a good distance and let them run their lives into the ground. It may be difficult to watch but it’s the only way they can possibly come to acknowledge that they even have a problem.
In this respect, it is interesting to reflect on the “Palestinian” people themselves. Their whole identity is a lie, a false creation much like the false ego (self-definition) of the narcissist – puffed up and falsely inflated by the powerless Islamic “mother”, who has poured all her own frustrated ego needs into this child. The child is a now a criminal, with a criminal mentality. It reacts with violent rage to frustration. It’s identity is false, based on a lie. Like the narcissist it can never acknowledge that it has a basic problem. And like the narcissist, it must be isolated and left to self-destruct before it can ever hope to even acknowledge that it might be sick.
re: "Honour" killings
The murders of women is just the final brutal act in what must be a vast and hidden brutality toewards all girls. In fact all children, boys and girls are subject to brutality in muslim families. Now psychologists tell us that child abuse is frequently carried out by people, both men and women, who themselves have been brutalised when young.
Are these brutal murders of women, just the final act in child abuse? I wonder.

Isn't "Palestinian Honor" an oxymoron?
Honor is a rotten corpse in Arab lands. The great pity of it is the many Western women who convert to Islam and blithely announce that women are not oppressed. No, they're not oppressed. They're brutalized, raped, destroyed, and treated as means to the carrion that is the 'honor' of the men. The cruel irony of it is that the women continue to raise their men to treat women brutally, and they themselves join in.

I remember the chilling audio-tape documenting the murder of Palestina Issa by her mother and father. The FBI had bugged Zien Issa's residence out of suspicion he was connected to a Palestinian terror group. They released the audio after the guilty plea of the parents.
On the audio, you could here Palestina scream "No Mommy, No Daddy" as she was being stabbed to death by her father while her mother held her down. Her father shouted "die quickly my daughter" as he stabbed her repeatedly.
Their reasons for killing her is that she wouldn't wear the hijab to middle-school and that she frequently met her classmates at the library after school. In other words, she was brurally murdered by her parents because she wanted to be a normal American girl.

Never before have I read a sentance that really tells it all. What type of backward society, culture, faith can tolerate this. Not just suppress it, condone it, but tolerate this. Is Abbas mute? Where is his voice, and where are the voice of the Immans dispensing the religion of peace.
Look at the difference between an Israeli funeral of a suicide victim and the funeral of a suicide victim. I'm sorry, that wasn't suicide. Right? Look at the grief of the Israelis when they bury their own. We've all seen it on tv. Look at the grief in our country at a natural disaster such as in West Virginia. Look at the expressions of grief in NYC from victim's families . . . from all of us.
Does anybody hand out candy because someone has ascended to heavan? The difference is between the love of life and all it entails . . . regrets and true respect versus the love of death in the service of a creed.
When I first started reading Jihad Watch, I hated muslims. But as time went by, and I read stories like these, I have so much sympathy and pity for these people. They are so deceived, so brain washed. The women and girls are so abused, equal to nothing. What a shame, what a waste. How can they be rescued? What they need is the truth. The world needs to take off the blinders of Islam. It amazes me that the world, free people, cannot see what is going on. It's shown in black and white, blaring in the headlines, everyday. These poor girls, do we realize the freedoms that we have? Where are the human rights groups to help these girls? Where are we?

Tina was a friend of mine. I just found out about this book and it immediately brought back all of the pain from 16 years ago-November 7, 1989-when I found out she was murdered.
I have yet to read this book to see how accurate it is. I hope that it does portray Tina as I remember her. She was an honor roll student who was fluent in 5 languages. She was in French Club and I believe she also played Tennis for Roosevelt High School.
We (her friends) were not allowed to know where she was buried or to go to the funeral - while we watched the clips of the funeral on t.v. and saw that even her father attended the funeral (at that time, her mother had left town). I still have the videos of the newsclips and one of Tina's sisters saying, "She deserved to die." [my note: of course she said that....she was afraid she would be next]
What you may not know is this....
Tina ALWAYS had a smile for everyone. She was such a warm and loving person. When I heard that evening, on the news, that Zein said she attacked him....I knew immediately it was a lie. Tina had no idea she was going to be killed - she was attacked by her parents - it was a pre-meditated murder.
I too remember the screams on those tapes. They have stayed with me all of these years. I cannot forget them. I also cannot forget how guilty I feel for not being able to help her when she ran away the summer before (after being threatened by Zein with a knife and kicks to her stomach while her mother helped to hold her down) and came to me asking me to help hide her....but I could only keep her hidden for one day, then she had to return home.
Tina died, at 16 yrs old (only one month before she would have been 17, at which age the police would not have been able to force her to go back home), and one week before I turned 17. My own mortality was shoved into my face. I also began questioning who I could trust - how could any parent do this to their child? NO CHILD DESERVES DEATH AS A PUNISHMENT!
Allah thirsts for blood, ANYONE's blood. If it is not Infidel blood (which Allah particularly relishes), it must be Muslim blood, until Muslims can arrange for more Infidel blood.
Whatever happens, Allah demands that the blood flow must continue uninterrupted.

On the contrary, Palestina's sister was a devout Muslim who indeed believed her sister deserved to die. FBI transcripts of conversations in the home preceeding the girl's death reveal that her father and older sister ruminated for weeks on how to kill Palestina without criminal repercussion.
The parents decided to claim that Tina attacked them and they killed her in self-defense. Were it not for the FBI bug, their story might have succeeded. The sister should have been arrested and tried as an accessory.
Interesting how the media reported the story back then. Palestina was lionized as having died for just wanting to be a normal American girl. Undoubtedly today, the story would be either ignored or reported in a manner that conveyed cultural sympathy for the father.
How things have changed.

This post mentions Israel's security barrier, for which we have been vilified world wide. Now, it turns out that India is building a fence between West Bengal and Bangladesh. Besides, Spain built barriers between its enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla and Morocco in North Africa.
Why would India and Spain want to build barriers between themselves and Muslim states?
