Victoria and Queensland police have already allowed culturally appropriate uniforms for Muslims and Sikhs on a case-by-case basis, but West Australian Police are the first to introduce blanket uniform exemptions to accommodate religious beliefs....
He said the move was aimed at increasing police numbers and targeting new recruits from a variety of backgrounds.
But West Australian Police Union spokesman Mike Dean said people of different cultural backgrounds should be required to meet uniform standards. "Special treatment for special groups brings difficulties," he said.

This kind of thing had already occurred nearly 4 years ago in the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.
All deputies are held to uniform standards, no beards,mustaches okay,short and clean haircuts are required. The sheriff decided to accommidate a sikh into the department, he is allowed to wear a full beard, and a turbin with the sheriffs badge emblazoned on it.
This is happening in Australia because unfortunately, the inmates are now running the asylum.
I guess this means that if you hire a hindu woman to be a police officer then she gets to wear a sari as a uniform...Forget Starsky and Hutch I would love to see a hot pursuit now!

Blue scarf update: We plan to have a website in place soon that will help facilitate meetings for the Islam resistence movement. What we plan to do is post public places and times (organized by country and state) where people who have volunteered to meet with others who may do so. No names need be exchanged electronically since we can identify each other by the blue scarves. This could allow the movement to form underground and can be done very quietly.

They are offensive to all my senses of what constitutes freedom and justice.
The servitude and slave status of muslim women is one aspect of islam that should never be accepted, particularly in the West. The public manifestation of institutionalised female slavery is the burqa. Its acceptance as a dress code, even an official one, is deeply offensive, as it is an acknowledgement that we as a Western society have recognised the institutionalised slavery of women in Islam as legitimate in the West.
This should never be accepted in a liberal and socially just society, as it is tantamount to accepting the reemergence of slavery.
The demeaning of the most vibrant and successful culture in history by the PC and Ultra-liberal brigade has thrown our whole system into confusion. Note the confusion and division in Britain over the Belmarsh detainees — Magna Carta, Bill of Rights, all have been called into question. These were issues that had been settled a long time ago. It is the presence of Islam and its social requirements that has thrown us right back to the Middle Ages. The wearing of hijabs in the police force is a just a manifestation of the total confusion within the minds policy makers. They are confused, because they are in the main ignorant of islam or even what constitutes the West. Meanwhile, the Islamists care nought for our legal, judicial or constitutional systems, except as rope to hang us with.
Subversion of society by the elite media, is what has been going on for the last 30 years - subversion of a free society using multicultarism as a tool. What is the key to undermine this attack? The same - Subversion has to be the key to put a spanner in the works of Political Correctness and Ultra-liberalism.
An example - use Political Correctness and Ultra-liberalism as tools, to stymie the PC agenda. The burqa is an example - it is a visible affront to all that has been achieved for the emancipation of women in the last century. One can argue for its complete ban on the ground that it is an affront to all civilised values, as in fact it celebrates female slavery. Slavery in whatever form can never be accepted, period. One can get as emotional in this righteous cause as is necessary, as one is doing it for the good of all muslim women. As servitude of women is an islamic tenet, we undermine the whole, while all the time hidden comfortably within Political Correctness, Ultra-liberalism, a righteous cause and a deep concern for the oppressed muslim woman.
That is use Political Correctness and Ultra-liberalism as tools for subversion in our cause. It also becomes difficult for the media elite to oppose it.
Lets set the record straight about this "Equality" myth , in my home City the Police were always intended to be religiously neutral as to appear to be unbias and fair.
But what has happened is some people have been afforded the luxury of promoting their faith while accepting Public tax dollars via a salary as a Civic employee , while most people attempt to seek jobs suited to their personal tenets or values in life , today we have selfish egotists that demand everyone else adjust to them and ergo...give affirmation to their perception of reality.
The myth about equality and rights becomes obvious when you dig deeper into employment Policies for minorities on my City's Police force , for years now it has been common knowledge that any worker with mandatory head dress as part of their Faith are exempt from dangerous duties such as "Riot-squads" in an emergency.
Yes folks....during a crisis it will be the Cop with no religious headgear being forced to suit-up with helmets and face shields while the "Special" worker stands idle at the Station and watches you go off to risk your life or be mamed and disabled . The Military allows CO's to take clerical jobs but when the bullets fly it's expected that they will take up arms to save lives and their own butts if the combat comes to them, but imagine being a child in my City and your told that your Mother is dead because she had to serve on a riot squad because the spare workers at the Police Station had an "Exempt" status for jobs demanding protection that interfeared with their faiths headdress.
The Salary structure for emergency workers should be re-worked to have a Point-system that increases pay with every level of danger you agree to accept as part of the job during an emergency.
Society can't afford to pay a Salary to a Cop that drives around all day and reports crime to the Real-Cops that respond and take all the risks, my City already has a programs where people drive around for free and reports crimes,it's called "TOPS" ( Taxi's On Patrol for Safety ) .
Why not just give cash rewards to cabbys instead of paying some Cops to do the exact job they are doing now for free ? , if their faith restricts certain types of jobs then find one that suits all the rituals and idolatry.

Will Muslim police women handcuff men? Will Muslim police be allowed paid leave every day for prayer times? Will police stations be required to have a special prayer room for their Muslim police? The police unions should press hard for answers to these questions and many more.
It blatantly discriminates against anyone in the force who isn't required to wear conspicuous religious clothing as part of their faith or lifestyle. What if I'm a christian, or a jew,or even an athiest? Talk about positive discrimination.

I'm curious how the hijab wearers will make it through training at the police academy. Running, jumping over walls and practicing self-defense techniques will be pretty difficult. That is, unless they are exempted from physical training, which would not surprise me in this day and age.

If only you could hear talkback radio in Perth WA this morning, after a picture of a muslim (woman) and a sikh (male) in the new, hip police gear adorned the front page of Saturday's newspaper. Rough guess - 98% incensed, outraged even.
Not only does the female garb feature the hijab, but the normally neatly tucked-in shirt is worn untucked, no doubt to hide the "female figure". I wonder how other police women will get on if they decide it'd be cooler to wear their uniform shirts untucked. After all, our "culture" is well-known for being pretty laid-back, isn't it?
An interesting addendum to this story. Today (16th January) the Premier of Western Australia, Dr Gallup, resigned due to mental depression. An Australian Premier is like a USA state governor.
It would have been Gallup who would've approved the proposed uniform changes for WA police. As you now can see he was a bit 'unstable' when he made this decision.
His depression was caused by drug use. For those of you who don't know, all Australian politicians are heavy users of drugs - performance enhancing drugs. Without those performance enhancing drugs they're a very ordinary lot with very little talent.
My offer still stands. Is there a country anywhere in the world that needs a boat load of useless politicians? We've got heaps to spare. You could use them as garden gnomes or store mannequins.

I'm sorry to say, the people of Australia won't object to this, or in fact to anything that is done to "appease" the Muslims. You can't say anything about Islam here...you can't even look at a veiled woman on the street for fear it may "scare" her or make her feel uncomfortable. We hear those lunatics on teh radio all the time crying discrimination because some poor soul looked at one of them on the street. One oft hem called the ABC the day after the riots and delivered a "touching" account of how his wife cried and said "nobody likes us here" while watching the Sydney riots on TV.

We had one bloke a while ago (after the first Bali bombing, I think)who claimed to have been king-hit while out for an innocent stroll with his wife and family - bruises and scratches on his face.
