"Now that I'm an "Islamist scholar," do I have to blow myself up?"

No, please don't. You could puff yourself up a bit. This could even involve a bit of preening if you wanted - but nothing too extreme, of course - with maybe just a soupcon of blowing your own trumpet (but don't go too wild).

More "bling-bling." And make Van Halen-like demands on the green room, e.g., a bowl of M&M's with all the brown ones removed:

Very impressive Robert! You are a gifted and eloquent speaker who speaks the truth about Islam. The media needs to hear more from you!

Now that I'm an "Islamist scholar," do I have to blow myself up?

No, only poor, un-educated, and ignorant Muslims blow themselves up, remember?

Excellent I'm glad you were able to make the point that Muslims only ask for a truce when they are weak and losing. You also made the point that since Osama is admitting he is weak now is the time for the US to apply even greater pressure to AQ and their supporters.I'm also curious how CAIR is reacting to your recent television appearances since they are committed to hiding the truth about Islam.

Excellent interview I caught it after they introduced you so I had no clue who you where till almost the end, all I heard was stuff I knew to be true and I was in a state of shock that Fox was reporting Islam in an honest non-Dhimmi light.

Bravo!!!

Good interview Robert, I give you a nine. This was the first time I have seen you. This is progress. My only suggestion is to be more specific about the Koran. When you mention that he is seeking a truce because he is weak, cite what he is doing in relation to what Mohammed did. Make the connection between Mohammed and Osama, what motivates and drives him.

Saturday afternoon is great. I think Fox is giving you some time to see how you do. Eventually, you want to get into prime time. I saw Hal Lindsey on Hannity & Colmes a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing. Alan Colmes actually let him speak. Sean Hannity mentioned "mainstream islam.". We all know what this means, but it did appear that Hal did begin to have an impact.

Hopefully, you can get on O'Reilly or Hannity & Colms in prime time. Everybody should email Fox to encorurage them do do so.

Mr. Spencer: Outstanding job!

You know what's kind of cool about your appearance? You have that full beard thing going on. You look like a muslim so perhaps that might make the audience take notice. If you look too white, too clean, too buff... chances are the mainstream audience will just 'fluff ya off' as someone who doesn't know about .....

Sorry for being incredibly un-PC.

Mr. Spencer, I admire you deeply, and you will never know how much your work will continue to enlighten the dhimmi masses, and subsequently change the tide of PC. Never stop your work, please.

And, I want an autograph. Because, although my son is too young right now to realize what's really going on, (he always says, mommy what is jihad watch?) I want to have something to pass on to him. I want him to know who you are, and who you were and how you changed this world. When the time comes.

He will be a leader, like you, Mr. Spencer.

Please corresepond with me Linda33594@yahoo.com

My time's kinda short these days, so your prompt reply would really be appreciated.

Best to all,
Linda

Linda, you might also want to send that to director@jihadwatch.org so Robert is sure to see it. He is usually much too busy to watch the comments, so he's bound to miss things posted here.

For that matter, Robert, do you get "profiled" when traveling? I'm curious because my father, who also sports dark hair and a full beard, seems to attract an inordinate amount of security attention. He also gets a kick out of the Islamic notion that a beard connotes an extra degree of piety on the part of its owner.

But I'm in full agreement with Linda. The beard rules.

Here's hoping Spencer becomes a regular Fox contributor. I have my doubts about access to O'Reilly though. He used to do the edgy Islamic stuff but has dramatically cut back. Maybe he doesn't want the threats - who knows.

O'Reilly still hasn't "got it" as far as Islam's concerned. Neither has Hannity, but I think he's closer than O'Reilly. They both believe that Islam has been "hijacked" by a few fanatics, or that's what they say on the air. They both claim to be practicing Christians; Neal Boortz calls Hannity "Baby Jesus", which cracks me up. Hannity is just too intense at times.

Both Hannity and O'Reilly sort of rub me the wrong way for different reasons, but they do bring up some interesting and revelant issues that very few others are willing to discuss. I even heard Michael Savage make the comment not too long ago that Islam has been hijacked or distorted, which was quite a shock. I thought he was one of the few who knew the truth and wasn't afraid to tell it. I can't imagine anyone intimidating him into backing off, but I think it has happened. I have heard Savage say some things about Islam and muslims that would get him locked up for life in Europe or Canada, and ostracized even here.

Mr. Spencer does it the right way, without animus, resentment, or anger. I wish I could be so cool, collected, and detached. Great job, Mr. Spencer.

Is there an archive of recordings of Robert Spencer's speaking engagements or tv/radio appearances?

Thanks.

Here's hoping the other networks catch on as well, mainstreaming the truth about jihad.

Robert

Don't blow yourself up. Instead, you can issue your own Fatwas. I'm sure there are thousands that everybody here on JW/DW would like to see. When do you start?

"Now that I'm an "Islamist scholar,"

You'll only have to wait two weeks before recieving your official 'i understand osama' pin badge and free entry tickets to saudidisney theme and terrorist park

btw excellent interview, over here in Britain you'd be promptly arrested and charged with being cruel and unusual to to the 'misunderstood' moderate muslim majority

but thankfully in the states your words are recognised as being the truth

carry on fighting the good fight

Nice job, Robert. I watched via the link.

Very concise, to-the-point, eloquent and well-thought-out presentation.

Keep marching.

Keep fighting.

No. Don't blow youself up. Leave that to some of our anti-war folks, who should be paying more attention to you instead of trying to undermine our defense efforts.

Let's not just hope Robert will be asked for comments in the future. I, for one, will be emailing the "usual suspects".

hello Robert l just listen via your weblink to Fox.. it was wonderful to hear so eloquent, and logical.. l only hope FOX's new owners dont stop this networks
excellence! maybe Americans can buy back this network, and maybe buy back PBS! again congratulations on a great interview... we need to send FOX the thumbs up on Robert's input on FOX!

Bob, If you blow yourself, then I'll be forced to take over, and you don't want that!!! Good job. If FOX is wise, they'll hire you as a contributor on Islamic affairs. Good to see you with Tony Snow. He's a very good conservative commentator. Would've been better if they'd had an Islamic on with you. That way you could've shot down every Islamic myth that could've been laid out. But great job. You were there to inform, and that's just what you did.

Robert,

I now know why you reside in an "unspecified location"--it's to keep People magazine from hounding you to appear shirtless as their "Sexiest Man Alive-2006" issue, right?

"Now that I'm an "Islamist scholar," do I have to blow myself up?"

I like that question...

Fox News needs e-mails for correction.

WOW Robert! the truth about 'truces' in Islam is a truth that needs repeating.

Also....why can't US intel understand these?

004.094 O ye who believe! When ye go abroad in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully, and say not to any one who offers you a salutation: "Thou art none of a believer!" Therefore carefully investigate. {they are to keep hidden - their intentions

003.028 Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless it be that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking as it were security. Telling lies - is permissible in Islam!

They didn't keep you on long enough Robert....being an 'Islamist scholar' and all - you'd think there would be a lot more questions to be asked.

Oh oh oh ...almost forgot [can't leave these ones out either]

009.004 But the treaties are not dissolved with those Pagans with whom ye have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfil your engagements with them to the end of their term.

009.005 But when the forbidden months are past [when the 'treaties' expire} then fight and slay the Pagans ''''wherever'''' ye find them [throughout the earth} 004.100, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war.

If that is not a clear violation of the United States Constitution - what is?
