How right you are. I have repeatedly told my gay friends that they are stupid to support the fascist and mad Moslems. I spread the word everyday. I have a close friend I worked with this week. He is very liberal (pro-gay) and is from Nigeria. He told me, "we (Christians and Moslems) lived together just fine in Lagos, don't tell me there is strife". He added that well-worn platitude: Islam is the religion of peace. Since we are both lawyers, I asked for him to provide "authority" that Islam is the religion of peace. I agreed to refute any such evidence.

It seems like the only response offered by those who oppose voicing problems and reasoned analysis is that their belief system will eventaully dominate no matter what, against your will or not. The accusations of hate are simply absurd and are just repeatedly chanted by this group of people because they are stung by any outsider critcizing his or her faith. Earlier today I was at an auction of antique silver (bear with me, that is relevant information). Before the auction began about one hundred and fifty to two hundred of us British people were in the attached restaurant drinking tea and watching the news on television - just filling in time, you understand, before getting down to the serious business of trying to get a bargain. As we all sat there the newscaster announced that some hundreds of pilgrims on the haj had been crushed to death in Mecca. Well, I am sure you must have heard the cheers of delight in New York - followed of course by much laughter at the complete inability of those savages to organise anything properly. It did the heart good to realise yet again that our dhimmi-politicos are completely out of touch with the people of my beloved country. You might also like to know that the only items left unsold at the end of the auction were seven pieces of silverware in the Arabic style (c.1720, probably made on the Gulf coast) - good enough pieces but obviously not to the taste of my countrymen, thank goodness. Oh, and I got the two pieces I was chasing for a very good price.

It was the most entertaining debate I've heard for years.
Unfortunately I have the misfortune to live in Geroge Galloway's constituency of Bethnal Green and Bow, London, where the jib-jab is all too common. Regarding certain comments on the bi-annual carnage of the Hajj Stampede Ritual;
Whatever we think of Islam, and of those who follow it, and even if one day we have to settle our differences in the language with which they increasingly seem to have chosen as their own - ie, violence - I still don't think it becomes us to cheer at the deaths of three hundred strangers on account of their being muslims. If we do that, we are surely little better than those whose ideology we detest. If we do that, we are little more righteous than those Palestinians who held street parties and shot their guns into the air to celebrate the mass murder of 9-11.
I would hope we can be absolutely determined to fight the spread of this doctrine - and even reverse the growth of the muslim population in the west - without losing our humanity in the process.

I should have used the word 'jeer' rather than cheer. We were not exulting in the deaths of many hundreds of our enemies but expressing contempt for their organisational abilities - although the time may come when it may be appropriate to cheer at our enemies' deaths. I agree with you - simple humanity should not exult in violent death. I phrased my posting badly. My apologies.
I was also trying to make the point that the populace at large is well aware of the threat posed by Mohammedanism - something that our American colleagues still don't seem to understand as they continue with their Eurobashing.
I am sorry that you have to live in Bethnal Green and Bow. I sometimes visit friends slighly further out at Stratford and that can sometimes feel like a foreign country. However i do not subscribe to the theory that only some Muslims have the capacity to become violent. The Qur'an/Ahadith are full of violence.
So is the old testament which many quote. But the OT has no real bearing on christianity other than being JC's book and JC does not proclaim violence as does "the prophet" so when christian "fundamentalists" commit violence, they are really out of line with Christian teachings.
While there is a holy book with 15% to 20% lines justifying, lauding, committing, advising or demanding violence it can never be a religion of peace and by the first tenet of islam you cannot alter it and remain one. If they cannot change this then there will be much future violence.
So I cannot support your optimism that the 1% remain the only problem and if we eliminate them all will be well.

Certiorari, I hope you weren't offended by what I wrote, it's just that I do want to be careful not to be consumed by hatred or bitterness to any fellow human being, even those whose views I find fascistic or repulsive. I say that not because I think islam deserves respect or sympathy, but because I don't want to become as blinkered or as inhumane as the jihadists we all detest. While others certainly have the option, personally I will not even call them scum, because they are, after all, human beings. I believe them to be to some extent brainwashed by their own culture (culture - is that word too generous?), mostly racist, and certainly theologically or ideologically absolute, to the point where even a 'moderate' muslim is someone who merely keeps his mouth shut and his opinions to himself while his co-religionists slaughter people in the name of Allah. If we find those things morally wrong, we must be careful not to follow them to that place even as we oppose them.
And make no mistake, as someone who read Theology at a good University, I find things in the koran that are morally repugnant, downright evil, and dangerous for the world.
As for emigrating, I don't have any faith that here in the UK we have much room left for manoeuvre; we have a government whose response to the July bombings was to set up a task force of muslims to examine what can be done to combat the problem, and their report suugested that the one thing that would ease tensions would be for the government to scrap Holocaust Memorial Day! These people really haven't got a moral compass have they! Added to that, we have a porous immigration system, a liberal press, a deeply pro-muslim BBC, growing anti-semitism, (again, fuelled by the BBC), rampant anti-Americanism, and lousy milkshakes...

Sorry about the word 'scum'. One gets used to thinking about them that way because my experience, and that of my colleagues, is that they can never, never, never tell the truth. Ask them the time and they will lie for the sheer pleasure of having lied. Their testimony, even from the seemingly nicest of them, will always contain more lies than truth. It seems that they just can't help themselves. All the time, it's like dealing with a two year old caught raiding the biscuit barrel. It just gets very wearing after all these years and we tend to use insulting words more to protect our own sanity than to insult - it's some sort of distancing mechanism, I think, - otherwise we would all go mad because of their childish and immature approach to the world. According to some teachers who I know, the children and the adolescents are just the same - constitutionally incapable of telling the truth or, worse, relating to the real world.

And it was plotted IN EUROPE (Hamburg)!
Americans have a right to exercise their disgust with Europe at this point. European authorities knew that al-qaeda cells existed and were spreading their activities in Europe yet they did little over the years to thwart them and Americans died because of that. The growth of jihadist networks in Europe can only be described as malignant neglect, as it was known in Europe what theses jihadist groups were up to. So I don't want to hear any excuses about this. Europe has failed every test that would indicate it has a handle on Islamic terrorism activity in its territory. Although it has been making a pretty good number of arrests over the past year or so, so maybe ther has been some improvement.

THE NIGHTMARE OF ISLAM!
As any reasonably intelligent person can figure out, Islam has nothing that recommends it. We have all seen the Muslims' intimidation & violent tactics, but few people know that Islam is also a religion of fear. They profess to love Allah, pray to him five times a day, & declare that he is "All-Knowing" & "All-Merciful". However, no Muslim is ever sure whether he or she will even be accepted into Allah's presence after death. This is because the only guarantee they have of escaping the torments of hell & being in Allah's good graces comes from committing jihad! That's it ... that's the only act which is rewarded with paradise! Islam is a "works religion" -- in other words, they try to do good deeds & live in a way they hope will be acceptable to Allah. When they die, they can only hope their good deeds have outweighed their bad deeds or they're out of luck (women have less chance of getting into paradise than do men ... even in eternity, Muslim women are worse than second-class citizens).
What does Islam offer as a description of the paradise for Muslims? Not much ... all they really know is that men who find favor with Allah are attended by 72 virgins as their eternal reward. I have no clue what women get (the few who make the cut with Allah, that is). However, when it comes to hell, their descriptions are very graphic & terrifying, including 7 levels that all come with their own brands of agonizing tortures (they are so awful that I won't include them here). Therefore, Allah is not a "God" who inspires love & trust ... the devotion expressed by the Islamic faith does not spring from wanting to please a Creator who loves them. Their service to Allah is inspired solely by sheer terror of a "God" with whom they are clueless of where they stand.
It dumbfounds me when I hear Islam being described as a religion of love & peace. This is what Islam promotes: a terrifying "God" who dumps people into hell sheerly by whim (reminiscent of the pagan gods in ancient times), numerous descriptions of hell that would fill a horror novel but virtually nothing about paradise, a doctrine of worldwide conversion through persuasion, intimidation, & murder of the rebellious 'infidels,' & a theology in which a suicide bomber is held up as a courageous martyr committing the one true act of selfless devotion to Allah. No wonder many Muslims convert to Christianity!
If all people would take the time to learn about Islam, then the Islamic movement toward worldwide domination by infiltrating our public schools & media would rapidly die in powerlessness! I beg all of you here on "Jihad Watch" to never stop educating people about the truth & please KEEP SAYING "NO" TO ISLAM.
