Let's see. We have seen honor killings among Palestinian Muslims, as well as among Pakistanis, Jordanians, Egyptians, and more, as well as honor killings in Muslim communities in the West, notably Germany and the UK. At the same time, we do not see any significant occurrence of honor killings among non-Muslims except, very occasionally, among culturally Islamic Arab Christians. Yet the very same people who insist when I quote Qur'an and Sunnah about jihad that quoting verses doesn't establish anything, despite mountains of evidence that jihadists understand such verses as marching orders, will turn around and point out that honor killing is nowhere sanctioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah, and thereby dismiss it as non-Islamic.
That's just swell, but it isn't going to keep these victimized women alive. Here is yet another area in which the silence, indifference, and self-serving apologetic of Muslim moderates needs to end, and soon, or once again their self-definitions are suspect. The time for talk is long ended. It is time for them to take action if they sincerely hold the values they say they hold.

A 38-year-old woman was shot and killed in the Arab village of Jisser a-Zarka early Wednesday morning while she was on her way to work.It was suspected that the motive for the killing was family honor, according to residents of the place.
According to initial inquiries, the 18-year-old daughter of the woman who was murdered was romantically involved with a man from a rival family.
Well that makes sense. Kill the mother for the supposed indiscretion of the daughter. Ok then. I wonder if this incident will make it into the IslamoExpo in London? They could have a symposium on how to murder your children for daring to experience puppy-love.
The dead woman would be a hero had she only slaughtered her own daughter before the illicit romance spiraled out of control. Ill bet the young folks even...*GASP*...held hands in public!

Sure it is. Methods have changed somewhat, but killing women for dishonering their husband and his family is perfectly legal, and doesn't require a sharia court.

Is he aware of the Pontif's recent statements regarding the dempographic danger in the near future to a "Christian" Europe, where the Pope even made reference to the probable futre necessity of Christians to educate their children at home, because the schools will be Muslim.
As a Catholic I just have to *cringe* when I see this sort of head-in-the-clouds-let's-all-be-touchy-feely dhimmitude coming from our religious leaders.
The same sort of sick to my stomach feeling I get when I read about interfaith services with Satan worshipping Muslims attending.
Bishop Paul Van den Berghe needs to read more from some of the Catholic Church's many early scholars regarding the nature of Islam.
They invariably describe Islam as being created by Satan himself.

But why would someone be murdered for the romantic involvement of their offspring to the offspring of a rival family? How can this be possible in a country where the main religion is that of the "religion of peace?" Where is the tolorance? This is better than the Hatfields and McCoys. Now I wonder what started this feud? With the Hatfields and the McCoys, it was rumored to be a pig. With these two Islamic families maybe the daugther seduced the young Muslim boy by exposing a wrist? (Oh my Allah, No!) Or he saw her upper lip under her burqra and caused his Muslim manhood to rise. Who knows? But this is how business is done in Islam.
I wonder why the women's rights groups are soooo silent? You'd think that they'd be blowing up the commlines to the United Nations, Amnesty International, and any other human rights groups over this blatant afront to a women's rights. So many Western students are draged to Islam,without knowing the real Islam,which is not exposed to them. Today,I saw a night TV show called Night Life,where people can phone live and tell their grieviances. One Christian Mother was crying about her daughter,who was brainwashed in school by her Muslim classmate,and eloped with him,eonverting to Islam.These young things dont realise the dangers ahead in their life. Jihad Watch And Dhimmi Watch are a great boon to such people. Already,most of the student community come to know about J/W ,and it is spreading.

Hopefully, the daughter is in hiding. The rival family is doing the killing, so they are protecting their honor? Shouldn't the father of the daughter kill her to protect his honor? Then should he go after the rival family? And kill only the females, or the male that was supposedly snogging with his daughter... This is just so confusing.

FYI, there's a troll using the screen ID "Tolerance" who has been plaguing the Religious Policeman (http://muttawa.blogspot.com/) with a writing style that bears a strikingly similar tone to the late and unlamented KingTolerance. This troll assails Alhamedi (a very witty critic of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and generally of the excesses of Islam) for being an apostate, if not a faux Saudi altogether and also indictes that he is a convert to Islam.
Check out the Saturday, Jan. 21 thread entitled "Give me a child..." and you'll see a post from "Tolerance" right at the top that smells so much like the barbs he cast my way for being a "bad Jew".
