Convenience store jihad? From KNOE TV8, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
TV 8 News has learned FBI agents and local law enforcement authorities are conducting a raid of service stations and businesses owned by Middle Easterners in Northeast Louisiana. Agents executed search warrants today at 10 businesses in Tallulah, Delhi, Monroe and Ruston. The FBI says the raids are part of "an ongoing criminal investigation." Police sources tell TV 8 News the raids target possible money laundering and counterfeiting in connection with suspected domestic terrorist activity. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is said to be taking part in the investigation.
You know, I think we may have some of the same problem right here in Denver, Colorado.
Whatdaya say, gumshoes? Check it out.
I mentioned to you guys a couple of days ago, the Southerners in the U.S. will NEVER put up with another oppressive army walking in and taking over.
Guns are our friends.
cameras then guns.
Have there been calls denouning the targeting of Muslims (just because they're muslim) yet? Or have they learnt to wait until the evidence has been presented?
Ten businesses. Ten. Not just some random nutjob. And those communities are fairly spread out, over different counties. In particular, Ruston is really more in central than northeast Louisiana.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Cities_in_Louisiana
It'll be interesting to find the "epicenter" of this activity, as these small towns are, together, about equidistant from Shreveport and Jackson, the nearest large cities.
Then, the question will be: Was the planning centered around a larger community, as in yesterday's news from Toledo, or have small towns become the new choice as bases for plotting attacks?
This should be extended everywhere. Those "cash-only" gas stations and convenience stores that never seem to give a receipt unless you repeatedly ask, and that are no doubt fiddling with all kinds of taxes, including those owned the state. But you don't have to monitor all of them -- you can monitor those whose owners, in your judgment, may be supporters of one form or other of the Jihad. Some of that fiddled money owed in taxes may, after all, be paying for videocassettes, or propaganda of other kinds, and even may be supporting causes and people who do not wish you well. You may do your bit -- and every bit helps --by keeping track of those who do seem not to be giving receipts, or do seem to have sudden shipments of cigarettes that they can sell, remarkably, far below others. Citizen action is as important here as it was during World War II. Start now.
And what about that rug store, named after a famous city on the English channel, or that chain of furniture stores now in the hands of someone doubtful, or all sorts of Muslim-owned businesses that support causes like CAIR. Here and there Muslim-owned businesses are listed at websites designed for Muslims. You can choose whethewr or not to add to their revenues. Just as you could have chosen, in 1938, whether to buy a camera produced in Germany, or in 1934, to buy a Baltic amber necklace that sold by Vneshtorg, the Soviet Trading Company abroad (the widow of the former New York head of Vneshtorg once told me how her husband had been recalled by Stalin to Russia, where "on byl likvidirovan" -- "he was liquidated").
No need to support those who do not wish you well -- whether they are in countries across the seas, or right here. No duty at all to patronize them. If you wish to make your own country safer, and your own children less likely to endure what people in Western Europe must now endure, then your duty, rather, goes the other way.
Good to see this!!Give me more!We have lots of em in SoCal.
Suspicious boxes of Twinkies and donuts were confiscated, along with several cases of duty-free Carlsberg. Probably.
On a serious note, if there was any concern about fuel tankers being used as weapons, then having service stations in enemy hands might not be a good idea.
Epicenter?

Hugh-I called my local FBI office about this (what you said in your post a few above this) about a week after 9-11, and they thought I was being alarmist/paranoid.
Guess I wasn't.
The FBI says the raids are part of "an ongoing criminal investigation."
So what happened with the notion that we are involved in a war?
Time to start boycotting EVERY Sheethead establishment and being vigilent about the goings on associated with these sickos in our own country. Let's make the FBI and Homeland Security work for our tax dollars since so many of them are going overseas to rebuild Mosques that their own gutterheads are blowing up. This is the straw that broke Achmeds camel.
Click on link below to find your muslim owned businesses in your area:

It's difficult for me to concede, but I must say Hugh that you set a damn good example for the rest of us the way you consistantly advocate positive and constructive approaches in our struggle against religious fascism. It's very easy to become disillusioned...but you and Robert will have none of it.
It's about time....now the FBI needs to go where the REAL terrorist action is: Muslim Mosques; and I'm not talking about the mosques in Iran - I'm talking about the ones right under our noses!
"always ask for a receipt, unfortunately, I always 'Have' to ask for a receipt because they
don't offer one."
-- from a posting above
This is the kind of thing that should be noted down and reported to state tax authorities. Failure to file taxes is what got Al Capone in trouble. Selective enforcement will do just fine.
4 years and 5 months after 9/11, the FBI nabs 10 suspected Islamic terrorist businesses. Better than none at all.
This is an average of 1 business for every 5.3 months, not bad by the year 3049 the FBI might find all of the Islamic terrorist businesses in Louisiana.
The Feds need to wake up and realize that we are in a war for survival in America against Islam and take the necessary actions to identify and capture the tens of thousands if not 100’s of thousands of Islamic terrorists in America.
The liberal gloves need to come off and the rubber hoses need to come out if we are going to win the war with Islam.
The Texican.
Freedom. The only choice at any cost.
East Coast Buckeye,
Thanks for the Islamic Finder link. It's so heartening to know that within a couple of miles of my house the place is crawling with mosques, halal meat stores, academies and of course gas stations. But then, I already knew that. Still, it's a great resource.
Just for fun I checked out the number of mosques in Paris, France. Unless I mis-counted, there were 71. Could there be a relationship between the number of mosques to the number of militant Islamobots being spawned there? Whatever could that number be in Central Louisiana?
eastcoastbuckeye, thank you for the link. I knew about a few near me but not all. I will inform a few of my friends and we can spend a little wizer. I don't want to sound like an Islamaphobic but I will not do business with a muslim owned business unless I know them. Before I retired an Iraqi refused my money for service to Iraq. He claimed to be a Sunni but not a muslim. I took it to mean Sunni by birth non muslim by choice. The problem with skipping all muslim owned businesses is we will hurt a few who have learned about thier faith the hard way. That said, the local news reports they also raided one of the businesses here in Tampa. Since I can't tell who is a practicing muslim and who is not, I will just spend my money else where.
Mosques are only part of it. All sorts of people never go to mosques, never even say their five canonical prayers, but call themselves Muslims, consider themselves Muslims, and most importantly, act in solidarity with Muslims on all that most matters. Too much is made of mosque-attendance as a guide, or rather, too much is made of non-observance of rituals as a guide to moderate-Muslim spotting. It's not nearly that easy.
Many moons ago, when I was in the infancy of my career as an insurance investigator, an old timer told me: The Arabs are given stipends to come to the USA and start up businesses. These Arab owned businesses are tax exempt for the first 10 years. After the 10 year expiration, the taxation begins... same as for any and all American business owners. Only, American business owners pay taxes starting on day one.
After the expiration of 10 years, one of two things happen:
The Arab returns to his/her native homeland pocketing his/her riches from operating a tax free business in the USA for 10 years. OR. The Arab 'sells' the business to his/her brother, uncle or cousin, who emigrates from the ME; thus starting over the 10 year tax exemption.
Look into this. It is true. It is disturbing. And, it is disgusting.
The poster above has raised an issue about a ten-year tax holiday for those who not only compete unfairly with American-owned businesses, but whose owners almost certainly do not wish us, or the United States, its laws, its customs, its manners, its ways, well. Rather, they would no doubt be heartened by the hadith that "Islam is to dominate and is not to be dominated."
Is such a law on the books still? Who can find out? Who comes to JW who has access to Lexis/Nexis and WestLaw. Who is willing to put in his pro bono time helping out by looking this up, or possibly to help out in other ways?
Please send to Robert any further information about this legislation that, insofar as it is still valid, needs to be rapidly repealed.
Another war story concerning muslim owned business:
A hotel run by muslims in a seedy neighborhood had an elderly man as a night duty desk clerk as an employee. One night, the clerk was robbed, shot in the head, dragged to the back of the hotel and left near a small kitchenette. The hotel owners claimed that the man was a 'bum' who they were helping out, out of the kindness of their good hearts. Because they had 'relatives' flying in, they had asked the 'bum' to man the front desk. Although he was shot and killed, the kind hotel owners claimed that the man was not an employee, therefore, he should not be covered under their worker's compensation policy.
I was assigned to investigate this as a Liability claim, because he "wasn't an employee".
Come to find out... the 'bum' was a decorated WWII vet with a wife, surviving children, and grandchildren. A model citizen who took a part time job as a regular night clerk at this hotel to supplement his meager SS income. When I asked to examine the books and records, the 'kind owner' of said hotel produced obviously falsified records of time, all written in the same pen.
It wasn't until I showed up unannounced and interviewed an unsuspecting day clerk that I found that this business had over 20 full time employees, 10 part time employees, and never paid a nickel in worker's compensation premiums.
Liars. Thieves.
We shut them down. Before they could be brought to justice, the hotel was 'sold' to another middle eastern person, who continues to operate the business same as before.. just with a new name.
As for the dead 'bum'. He had a decent burial through the military. The surviving wife got nothing under the Liability policy because we proved that he was an employee, and therefore excluded from a liability policy.
As for the former owners, they drove a really nice Lexus around their waterfront property in St. Petersburg Florida (this was, of course, AFTER they left the Country).
So yes.. boycott arab owned and muslim owned businesses. We infidels are nothing but pigs and dogs to them.
If you want more stories on arab business owner insurance scams, please let me know... I've had a slew of them in my tired old career.
Ronin.. Tampa here too. Home of Smelly Al Arian.
It's about time....now the FBI needs to go where the REAL terrorist action is: Muslim Mosques; and I'm not talking about the mosques in Iran - I'm talking about the ones right under our noses!

Champ, yes your right, but to a degree. The Mohamadens also have home schools, private classes in the home, away from the prying, and potentially bugged, Mosque.
Write them all up. Names, dates, everything. Send to IRS and state reveneues. Send to investigative journalists who might want a story. Send to the FBI. Make maximum use of it all for the purposes of uncovering illegal activity, past, present and future. Make sure that the phony transfers of membership, the continued presence of those who supposedly left the country, and all the rest of it -- to the extent that you or former colleagues know about it --- is reported.
And then figure out the best way to get the information to the general public, members of which might otherwise, unwittingly, patronize some of these businesses and need to know all about it.
If you know of particular state or federal laws that are worrisome, send us information and we will write about them here, and also make things known to members of Congress. Whatever you have, and can make available, will be useful.
And so will whatever others -- police, insurance agents, realtors, doctors, INS agents, and others who want, anonymously, to share information of a similar nature, with a wide audience -- or if not a wide audience, then an audience of officials who might be able to act on the information.
Is such a law on the books still? Who can find out? Who comes to JW who has access to Lexis/Nexis and WestLaw. Who is willing to put in his pro bono time helping out by looking this up, or possibly to help out in other ways?
Hugh - I've got access to Lexis/Nexis through my university. Can't find anything on WestLaw yet, but there's a slew of other databases available. If no one more "lawyerly" steps up, I'll be more than happy to see what I can do.
I'll have some "pro bono time" to put in starting on Friday afternoon.
Hugh, I'm no lawyer, but I'm certain that Spencer has all of these resources at his hand, and if not, he knows someone who does. I'm also relatively certain that this issue still exists, which is the reason for the large # of Arab owned businesses in such endeavors as gas stations, convenience stores and hotels.
Patel = Hotel in arabic.
If anyone has the time, look up the # of hotel owners with the last name of Patel. It is an unfunny joke.
P.S. Hugh: I think that stipend began with the Vietnamese immigrants in the mid to late 70's but was extended to all "Asians".
Now class: What is the meaning of the word, "Asian" in today's MSM society?
Any possible connection between these raids and the church bombings in Alabama, just a sight bit to the east? Just a thought.
Sorry..."sight" hould read "slight."
Sorry..."sight" hould read "slight."
OK.. this is interesting. Hugh, I have every single file I've ever investigated saved in old boxes. Everything from robbery and burglary scams, alleged phone card thefts, 'cigarette robberies' where the owner of said cartons was unable to prove original purchase; business interruption claims, fire losses, spoliation of food claims in arab owned eateries due to alleged power outages; inventory losses due to alleged theft, staged auto accidents involving multiple claimants, one who was known as "Excellent Lovens"... an old decrepit arab male with full beard and head gear (I met him personally during an interview.. what fun). Old Garage Keepers legal liability claims involving chop shops; even slip and falls involving owners of stores who pose as employees (one's wife even offered me some really tasy cookies once, but I refused out of professionalism and fear of..well ya know).
Here's an issue: Not a dime was paid on these frauds. Nothing was done despite my turning them in to FDLE and NCIC.
I moved my office a few years ago and despite cries from staff to shred files, I refused. I'm a pack rat who doesn't mind clutter as long as its in storage and out of my sight. I also saved old .xls files which will help me whittle down these old dead dogs and bring them back to life.
Any advice from legal scholars or law enforcement out there? Or should I just relish these relics and these sordid tales of tom foolery and fraud.
Though usually a name will be either Hindu or Sikh or Muslim, there are both Hindus and Muslims with the name "Patel." I wouldn't jump to conclusions, especially if the "Patel" is from Gujarat. A picture of Vishnu, Shiva, and Ganesha in the motel office always reassures.
In spare moments, look through and see what might aid the police and other security services in figuring out grounds for removal of those deemed, for other reasons, a danger to our collective security. Something might turn up. Or more than something. Your contribution to the war effort. You never know.
No loud wails of 'islamophobia' or 'racism' yet, eh? No busybodies from the ACLU littering the scene yet, I see...

It's good to now where your enemy is....
Look, we are open minded at The Dumb Ox. Moslem owned businesses is fine, this is the land of opportunity, more power to them.
Let's get a campaign started. Businesses, ALL businesses should put a sign prominently displayed at their entrance that says: "We Condemn Terroristic Violence Against Civilians Everywhere!"
C'mon this is not a bad idea...

All the best,

I went to that website, I live in Lancaster, California..and apparently there's a mosque here. And yet I never knew that....hmm
And in Palmdale, a town right next to mine, there's a health store there.
Hmmm. I just did a google news search on "FBI raids" and got only one article six hours old that mentioned "middle eastern background" only in the body of the text and not the headline. It going to be interesting to see how much play this gets going forward.
I'm going to share something with you all that happened to me, personally. This happened about three years ago, before I happened onto JihadWatch, and I had no idea what it meant at the time. Because of JihadWatch, I now understand.
I'll start by mentioning that I live in New Jersey and not some Muslim land. I was sitting in the food court of a mall one day, minding my own business and reading a book. I happened to have another book, a copy of Evelyn Underhill's "Mysticism," on the edge of the table next to me. This was the edition that had a picture of a statue of Theresa of Avila on it. As I was reading the other book, a Paskistani family got up from the table next to me and started leaving. One of their young children, a boy about 6 to 7 or around first grade age trailed behind them. As he passed my table he pounded my copy "Mysticism" with his thuggish little fist, right smack dab on the picture of Teresa and gave me a defiant look.
At the time I thought he was just an ill-mannered little runt and let it pass. Thanks to JihadWatch, I now understand exactly what the runt's behavior implied. His people had been teaching him about infidels. There happens to be a mosque within a fifteen minute drive of this mall. A sure signs of things to come if things don't change soon.
Good: a sign of American Intelligence.
I had a burka clad neighbor before Sept. 11. By the end of the week the house was empty and up for sale.
I'm sure it was not a coincidence. Where will we go if something happens? Is there a secular or even a Christian country that would be a safe haven? No. Nowhere.
Most western people don't have family waiting with open arms for them back in the old country. Or an ongoing lifestyle that they could transfer easily to another country. Unlike muslims. Many of whom have spent extended time traveling back to the old country to make sure the links aren't lost.
When push comes to shove our backs will be against the wall. No where to go. No where to run. West must stay west. Or be gone.
Until I looked at that site a few months ago I thought I had no other muslim neighbors. It revealed a "school" listed in a nearby house. Others are now aware of it. Nothing done. I'm sure there are other businesses not listed.
And at the time of Sept 11, knowing nothing about islam I was surprised that the neighbor disappeared overnight. Just like many others around the country that left quickly. Retaliation never crossed my mind. But it was what they expected because it is what they would have done. Mob violence is the normal routine. Rioting over every perceived slight.
Just like cheating on taxes and all the other corruption. Marco Polo, in his travels, said the middle east was full of nothing but murderers, liars and thieves.

If the Patel happens to be a Muslim, one can make out from the first name - something like Ahmed, Firuz, et al.
Patel (according to a Hindu friend, nee Patel) was not just a Hindu name but specifically the name of a clan of merchants and shopkeepers originally from Bombay.
Which is why so many corner shops in the UK are run by families called Patel, most of whom are Hindu. An exception to this, of course, is Lord Patel a well known Muslim. I think Muslims surnamed Patel kept the name when they converted however many years ago it was, but as Infedel Pride points out, the accompanying first name will be more indicative.
And as Hugh said a picture of Ganesh or their fave Swami (or in the UK pride of place given to a picture of the Neasden Temple, of which they are rightly proud) is a good sign.
Thinking more I do wonder if these pictures are appearing in shops more as Hindus and Sikhs are emphasising their identity more for that very reason. I have noticed Bindi forhead marks on women in office suits recently, and my corner shop (run by a Hindu family) still displays the palm cross I gave him last March. I stopped for sweeties on my way home from church and the father expressed interest in what I was carrying. He and his wife are a hard working, community minded team, an asset to our town.
After 9-11, many Arab and Muslim-owned businesses in my locality began displaying the American flag on their storefront windows. For some, this was designed to forestall rataliatory violence and/or convey a sense of patriotism so as to reassure wary customers. Whether or not there was any sincerity involved is hard to say.
The tell-tale signs for distinguishing a moderate Muslim from a fundamentalist is of course the presence or absence of a beard on the man, but even more telling is whether or not a women wears a hijab or a head scarf.
The wife of a Muslim shop-owner who doesn't cover her head may or may not be virulently anti-American, but the chances are almost certain that neither she nor her husband is a religious fundamentalist.
Update from the Toledo jihad. The press is reporting, I believe via the FBI and other gov't sources, that The Trainer is a prominent muslim in the community and that before that the FBI had received several calls from muslims concerned about statements these men had made. Take it for what it's worth.
I am afraid that I am no expert in USA law so I do not know about the 'stipend' question. However, three years ago I took on my very last mohammedan client. (After the case was over I took the decision that that client would be my last, I should say, for reasons that will become apparent.)
My client was innocent - I know, I know, we all say that but in this case he really was. All my client had to do when called to give evidence was tell the truth as he saw it, and his testimony, combined with the evidence I and my team had assembled, would convince even the most cynical jury in the world of his innocence.
Well. Come the day he was called to the stand, and was sworn on the koran. He was questioned in the usual way and I was stunned. Almost every word he uttered was a lie. He responded to the prosecutors questions with lies, as well as to mine. He denied the evidence that would have cleared him, he denied his own name and date of birth, he denied his business and bank account details and wove an intricate web of fabrication around all the facts in the case. I was, as is commonly said, gobsmacked. I had had difficult mohammedan clients in the past many of whom had come close to this sort of behaviour but I had usually managed to keep them on track in court, but this was something different entirely.
Needless to say my client was sent down for three years and I never got paid by him and had to raise a separate action to recover my fee from him. At that hearing he also lied consistently as if he was living in a fantasy land somewhere - he even denied that I had represented him at all.
When I raised his behaviour with his wife and (adult) children they just did not understand what I was getting at. They, too, seemed to have no idea of what the objective truth actually was and they blamed the infidel court system for sending an innocent husband and father to gaol. I simply couldn't get through to them.
Can anybody tell me why mohammedans behave like this? I am sure you can see now why I have never accepted another mohammedan client since that event.
Borg posted, inter alia:
"And at the time of Sept 11, knowing nothing about islam I was surprised that the neighbor disappeared overnight. Just like many others around the country that left quickly. Retaliation never crossed my mind. But it was what they expected because it is what they would have done. Mob violence is the normal routine. Rioting over every perceived slight."
Bloody oath Borg. Couldn't agree more, you have hit the nail right on the head.
I believe - but am certainly willing to be corrected - it is called "projection". These lunatics believe everybody else behaves as they themselves would.
I understand that this is why the "palestinians" fled during the Arab-Israeli wars. They were convinced that all civilians would be raped and/or butchered. After all, that is exactly what would have happened if the roles had been reversed.
For the same reasons, whenever the U.S. and other coalition forces leave Iraq, the mohammedans will be bleating about what a defeat it was for the Great Satan, and a glorious victory for the sons of the prophet.
These clowns could never understand the concept of wishing to leave a country to the inhabitants after doing the job they came to do. It would never occur to them to leave a country that they had crushed militarily. Far better to stay and enslave the locals.
And in spite of incidents such as the above convenience store busts, W's Administration still insists that US ports need to be run by Arab-held companies???
...And also in Bufallo, New York:
http://www.wivb.com/Global/story.asp?S=4541084
I knew there was something fishy about that "Jenuine Jihad Jerky" they were selling!
I guess they have to change 7-11's to 9-11's now.
We have the same problem here in the UK.
Moslem owned businesses here are mainly the type that deal in cash which is easy to hide, disguise, syphon and transfer.
The funds are given to muslim "charities" which carry out relief work.
We used to have a situation here where every Diwali hindu's and Sikh would be buying sweets from shops owned by muslims, who would then give the funds to various islamic causes.
This is now changing.
If ever you have any doubt about the origin of the owners i can only suggest that you ask somebody of Indian origin to point out if they are moslem.
"WE" might all look the same to you but believe me we know what these buggers are about.

It is not an unfunny joke.
A large number of Hotels and Motels are owned by Patels hence Motels are often referred to as Potels as I discovered during one of my trips to the USA. Patel + Motel = Potel.
My Indian news agent, a Patel, informs me that Patel is overwhelmingly (around 98%) Gujarati (originating from the state of Gujarat in India) Hindu name. The rest are those who converted or adopted the Patel surname.
The Patels, like most Gujaratis work and play hard. They run successful businesses in many countries and cities including Mumbai where they immigrated may years ago. I wonder how Linda mistook these Hindus as Arabs. Brown skin, yes. Similar clothes? No.
I think linda is an ignorant "They are all the same" type.
I am sure I have mentioned this before but if you Americans want a good counter to CAIR then try approaching the BJP and VHP of America.
They could hardly be accused of being "racist"
Also try the Buddhists, remembere Buddhism in India was destroyed by the invading moslems.
This
"Patel = Hotel in arabic"
attitude must stop, why don't you educate yourself linda, indian hindus,Sikhs,Buddists could tell you tales about islam that would make your toes curl.
Its is quite clear from your statement "Patel = Hotel in arabic" that you have no understanding of A/ arabic or B/the true nature of the threat that humanity faces. The only enemy you see are brown faces (where does john walker lindt fit in?)
Educate your self linda here is a link you might find interesting.

Would it not be difficult to tell the difference between a muslim arab or Christian Arab? there is a shell gas station run by two brothers, both their wives and children l have seen look and act very western. in fact the son of one is playing on a hockey team in HighSchool. l am assuming they are Christian arabs from their actions. l was told that in the earlier times, the arabs that did imigrate especially to Detroit where Christian Arabs.. so for me its a little more difficult to see a difference.

While by no means a steadfast rule, Lebennon tends to have more Christian arabs than any other mideast country.
As for what a radical moslem looks like remember, the neighbors of the 9/11 terrorists did't Moslem terrorists, they thought that they were drug dealers.
