Danish lawyer shot by Muslim in Moscow

Today's Muslim terrorism can be traced back to Mohammed's terrorism which is in the Koran and Hadith for all to see.

Muhammad requested three assassinations of people who mocked him. So this present day Muslim is merely emulating the life of Muhammad as Islam commands him to. Muslims call Muhammad the man who lead the perfect life, worthy of emulation by all mankind. So perfect that no images and cartoons of him are allowed

Wherever Danish organizations are asked to leave, other Western aid organizations should leave as well. Wherever an economic boycott has been declared of Danish goods, other Western counrties should do two things: 1) buy up as man of those Danish goods as possible, in a deliberate "Buy Danish" campaign, that is made permanent and 2) Refuse to sell Western consumer goods of every kind to any country, or middleman, who is seen to participate in such a boycott. It will be largely of symbolic importance, and such goods will in the end be obtained from middlemen, but it will be more expensive and more difficult for the Muslim consumers involved. And that will make an obvious point. There is nothing, save oil and gas, that is needed by the Western world from the Muslim one. Even those Tunisian dates and Persian pistachio nuts can be obtained elsewhere, for example from California.

Every attempt to pick off this or that Western country, to isolate and punish it -- and Denmark is so convenient, because it is so small (French newspapers published those same cartoons, and in a great many more places -- why do not Muslims refuse to buy French goods?)-- should be met with displays of solidarity, and not, as too many officials (e.g. Jack Straw, Carey) and too many newspapers (The New Duranty Times, The Bandar Beacon) in the United States and Great Britain have shown, with the temptation to blame Denmark for permitting -- how dare they, really? -- the exercise of a right, and not merely the recognition of its theoretical existence.

This solidarity can be offered by both governments and by individuals. The Western newspapers that published the cartoons expressed such solidarity, for they clearly understood the issue. Those Western newspapers, particulary the high-and-mighty Times and Post, clearly found ways to explain, to their own satisfaction, their display of moral pusillanimity, depicted quite unconvincingly as rectitudinous responsibility.

These newspapers have now lost the moral right to preach on the subject of freedom of speech, and about the "right to offend." They disgust. They have failed the test. But we are free, as consumers and as voters, not to fail the test, but to insist that the government display solidarity with Denmark. As, according to that solemn undertaking known as NATO, it is required to do so anyway, whenever a fellow NATO member is under attack -- as Denmark clearly is.

That's right expell people who are there to feed your children and provide medical assistance.

It ought to be the Chechens who are expelled from Mother Russia. They ought to be given three choices,

1. Convert to Christianity and become Russians.
2. Immigrate to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan or some other Muslim country that will take them, or
3. Get on the trains that are waiting to take them to Siberia.

I'm no fan of Stalin but he was the only leader who knew how to deal effectively with these Chechen savages. After Beslan, Russia should take that lesson to heart.

Unbelievable. This just shows now how important it is for us to defend Denmark, to stand with the Danes.

Anyone who thinks "offence" is worse then killing is, morally, scum. Anyone who values an alleged religious symbol of the self-proclaimed prophet Mohammad more than real and innocent human life is, morally, scum. You either join the ranks of humanity, or you join the ranks of the Mohammad-worshipping death cult--it's that simple. This is the world of the early 21st century, and this is how it will be. It may get worse yet. It will likely get worse yet.

I'm a Canadian, and part of my heritage is Danish, and was listening to a CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) reporter in Lebanon a couple of days ago who said that the rioters who burned down the Danish consulate were running around asking foreigners (read "white people") their nationality. The frightened young reporter said "Canadian," and the rioters left him alone.

I'm disgusted with what my cowardly government and my cowardly and unprincipled media decided to leave the Danes alone to defend themselves. I don't blame that reporter, at all. In fact, if there are any Danes overseas and you get caught in a jam with these Mohammad-worshippers, if necessary, consider the option of saying you're Canadian and tell them that the Canadian media did not print the Mohammad cartoons "out of respect" for Islam (a.k.a. surrender/submission). At least for now, you can do that to save your life.

In WWII, when we had a strong military, we sent our troops in to liberate the Danes, but where is our support for them (and the other European countries) now? Conservatives, Harper, what do you have to say? Did I miss it? What's your position on freedom of expression, and will you explicitly support the Danes, and will you condemn these Islamists? As Canadians, we should not allow the Islamists to target and isolate the Danes like this. My sense is that most Canadians do support the Danes. The media elite is a culture unto itself and, it now reveals, is Islamist-sympathetic even though the population most decidely is not.

Islamists have started another "unofficial" war against an Islamically-disobedient country, and this time it is the Danes. Why do we allow them to play divide-and-conquer like this?

If this death is not enough to instill moral clarity, what will it take? How many more Danes and Dutch and Norweigians should we allow to be targetted by these Islamists before we do or at least say something to make our position clear? Why must Canada be seen to be silently legitimizing this insane reaction of Muslims world-wide?

Not sure if anybody's watching the new season of Fox's "24," but the terrorists are "Russian separatists" who have a "base in central Asia" (these are direct quotes from the episodes of the show). The terrorists are not identified as Chechens, however, although there have been enough statements made that informed viewers can reasonably draw the conclusion that they're Chechens.

Good call Darius, I'm a big fan of 24 and made the connection when I heard the accents and knew that they had to be from the Ukraine or the Georgian region or Chechnia. I just wish that the producers weren't so gun shy about calling a spade a spade. A terrorist a terrorist. They weren't too concerned about hurt feelings when it was crooked corporate executives and drug lords that were the bad guys.

At least Russia is dealing with those bastards. If not the government, but the people. A number of Muslims have been targeted by nationalist groups and beat up on the streets. In all honesty, I would probably get my ass kicked as well since they hate all foreigners, but at least they are protecting their country. Unlike Europe and US, Russia never gets into the bullshit liberalism. They do not care if it is polically correct. The problem is that there is nothing you can do with the Caucaus people. All they want is blood vendetta for offences most of them do not even know or care to understand. With such people, only radical measures work, such as relocation to Siberia as proposed by a previous poster.
