Carsten is correct - no cartoonist would *dare* put their real name to a Mohammed cartoon now.
so they have really tested the limits of free speech in Denmark now, which is what they set out to do in the first place.

They are sheltered from criticism and discipline, just like spoiled children. The Ummah hasn't "won" anything. If they'd acted like normal reasonable people, the whole thing would have been forgotten. Instead the cartoons are being published worldwide, all over the internet, on blogs and in newspapers and magazines. They are being seen by tens of millions of people who never would have seen them otherwise.
Meanwhile the Ummah has become the laughingstock of the entire non-Muslim world -- as "the best of all nations" is exposed as acting like a spoiled two-year-old throwing its toys out of the playpen.

For the last hour or so, the Glenn Beck program has been discussing the cartoon controversy. This is the first time I've heard it discussed in a regular US talk show. Not only that, Glenn is giving the names of Danish companies and urging his listeners to support them by buying their products. I've already urged my wife to buy as many Danish products as possible when she goes to the supermarket this weekend.
As this story gets wider coverage, I realized a wonderful thing is happening. More people in the West are finally starting to see the true, intolerant face of Islam. And they don't like what they see. Could the sleeping giants be finally awakening?

Of course they knew I wasn't Mohammedean, so as paypack (I assume) they had my email address subscribed to atlantabraves.com. Not sure what I should read into that.
I suppose the arab world could decide to apply sanctions to Dar al Harb and refuse to sell us oil.

You're absolutely correct... and it goes further than just the European Right. There has been a serious re-alignment among Palestinian Christians both on the West Bank and overseas. They used to be some of the most outspoken "anti-Zionists" and now they are almost all praying for an Israeli re-occupation of Judea and Samaria. As on prominent Christian Palestinian nationalist said "Between being ruled by Jews or enslaved by Muslims, we'll opt for the Israelis any time".

Jyllands Posten ("The Jutland Post" if anybody wants a translation of that by the way) just reported that the French minister of the interior Nicolas Sarkozy criticized muslims in a live interview on French television. He said they were grossly overreacting to the cartoons and that no religion deserved special protections. He also said it was part of the terrorists ploy to "win the war of ideas" by stimulating a "clash of civilizations" (my translation, may not be the exact words he used).

PM Anders Fogh Rasmussen lashed out at extremist Muslim leaders in Denmark on Thursday for speaking with two tongues in the on-going row between the country and the Muslim world.
Rasmussen said imams' positive comments in Danish about the recent days' thaw in the dispute over newspaper Jyllands-Posten's publication of 12 caricatures of the prophet Mohammed had been undermined by statements made in Arabic to the media from Muslim countries.
'We have clearly noted that in certain situations, some people are speaking with two tongues,' Rasmussen said after meeting the parliament's foreign policy committee. 'The government watches what news and information is circulated in Arabic countries very closely so we can catch false stories and correct them immediately.'
Rasmussen was referring specifically to an incident in which controversial imam Abu Laban said to television station al-Jazeera that he was happy about the Muslim boycott. Later in the day, Laban said to Danish television station TV2 that he would urge Muslims to stop the boycott immediately.
'If Muslim countries decide to boycott, and if Muslims feel that it is their obligation to defend the prophet, then that is something we can be happy about,' Laban said to al-Jazeera.
Other leading imams have also been accused of misleading Muslims outside of Denmark about the situation.
Earlier this week, imam Abu Bashir appeared on BBC World showing a caricature of Mohammed with a pig's snout and ears to representatives of the Arabic League. Bashir falsely claimed that the caricature was one of the 12 Jyllands-Posten drawings.

I disagree in saying that we've lost. Maybe it will take a while before someone else dares to print cartoons of Mohead the Murderer here in Denmark but I don't think we will have to wait many years. If so many other newspapers in Europe can print them, what have we to fear? Hopefully more people are making the effort to view the cartoons and not just taking the word of some of the MSM. The BBC, for example describes them as "anti-Islam" cartoons. There are a lot of naive people out there who haven't seen the cartoons, and reading such headlines, think they're really offensive, and then are stupidly supportive of the ridiculous Muslim hysteria. These are kind-hearted people, the types who think there's good in everyone and by being nice to each other, we'll all get along. Kind-hearted but stupidly naive and ignorant when it comes to Islam.
One guy on the Beeb's Have Your Say forum, who agrees with publishing the cartoons, asks "Do you not think Muhammed had a sense of humour?" I had to laugh. There is so much ignorance about Islam out there. If only he knew what Muhammed did to people who mocked him. I hope someone informs him, or that he does a little research and finds the truthful answer to his innocent question.
That's perhaps what Muslims are afraid of in regards to this whole foofaraw. They profess outrage at depicting the image of their "prophet", but really it's likely because they don't want the world to dig around for the truth. Maybe people out there will be researching who this Muhammed was, discover how vile a creature he was, and their starry-eyed view of Islam will start to darken. And Islam will lose power over the West when more people stop viewing Islam as the "religion of Peace hijacked by a tiny minority of horrid extremists", or even more laughably, as "one of the world's great religions". Maybe they'll start to realize what a danger it is to us all. Islam thrives in the darkness of ignorance.
CNN respects Islam only because of the possibility they will become the target of death threats, car bombs, beheadings, assasinations etc etc Say what you like about the RoP, their Koran -inspired strategy of intimidation through violence and political lobbying works well, has done for centuries. I'm still not convinced this will stop Islam's march across Europe. Theres still alot of apathy and ignorance about Islam out there.
What the cartoon 'outrage' has highlighted is we now face the reality that although we supposedly live in a "free" society,if we let our guard down and offend the Muslims, the threat of violence is always going to be there. And the Dhimmwit politicians and media will STILL keep apologising and making excuses for them.
Show me some proof that Le Pen is a bad politician for grappling with the West's problem of Islam.
Islam, you have not won anything, quite the contrary. The boycott of Danish goods might have cost a few Danes their jobs, people who had absolutely nothing to do with the cartoons that were published. The boycott may have had an adverse affect on Arla, also another innocent party, but it will recover. We in the U.S. are working hard to make up for lost revenues.
You have lost because Islam's ugly face has been exposed like never before. All of the moderate, peaceful muslims, the putative "majority", have shown their true colors. This silly, overblown incident has done more to expose the intolerant, hypocritical, deadly nature of Islam than even the Rushdie affair.
The West has bent over backwards to accomodate muslims and I hope and pray that the stubborn apologists and useful idiots will finally see that it is IMPOSSIBLE TO COEXIST WITH MUSLIMS.

The truth is that esentailly all relgions are the same, all people are the same, and BLAH blah blah. Cultural shock is an imaginary condition. We White Christians are no different than Muslims as far as atrocities are concerned. Islam is not the threat, it has just been highjacked by a few extremests! and uh, well, oh uh .......... Just writing this liberal BS for five minutes makes my head hurt! ANywho, Long live Denmark, Norge and all my ancestors lands. To Muslims i say thank you! Thank you for making my job so much easier. You own actions condemn you in the eyes of the world. Prior to 9-11 i had a hard time convincing people that Islam was a dangerous Culture and religion. I and my Father had a serious fight when he went to Turkey on vacation and i warned him not to patronise Muslims countries, he dissmissed me as a 'reactionary'. Now 6 years later he realises that i was 100% right all along.
Yaaaawn...not ANOTHER ludicrous Muslim boycott. Look at the countries they demonise (Denmark, Israel, Britain, the US) and compare them to most of the Arab states - doesn't it tell you everything you need to know? Whilst I'd be the first to admit that the West is not perfect, our religious elders don't hang women from cranes for the 'crime' of 'liaising' with members of the opposite sex from cranes (cf: August 2004, Iran, enough said).
The UK has become a virtual outpost of an Islamic state. Our craven, liberal government allows hardline Muslims to stomp all over our history, values and religion, as well as spreading vicious anti-Semitism, homophobia and contempt for Western values. I take the Danish expat's point about Arla being a small issue economically, but I think if there was a campaign to 'buy Danish' then at least it would show support to your brave nation. At least someone has the cojones to stand up for what is right.

Immigration is a good thing, unless the immigrants are 3rd world DEVOUT Moslems. I myself have immigrated to Sweden (beautiful country, beautiful people, kind people – but like that rest of the West, ignorant about Islam).
In the West, we assume that if an immigrant comes to our country that they will try to assimilate into our culture and accept our values. This is generally true of all immigrants except devout Moslems. They have been so brainwashed by their religion that they cannot accept a non-moslem culture. Please note that I am talking about the DEVOUT MOSLEMS. I am not talking about the Moslems who were only Moslem for fear of being put to death. They were religious prisoners in their old countries! Usually when they get to the West, they find the courage to leave Islam!
The good people (countries) of the West bring these devout Moslems in not knowing the truth behind Islam. Islam IS a religion of TERROR! It has been from the start!
I started learning about Islam after one of them murdered my mother by crashing a plane back on Oct 31, 1999. What I have learned is MIND BLOWING to say the least.
Before my mother’s murder, I believed what I HEARD about Islam. That it is a religion of PEACE and that they worship the same God that the Jews and the Christians worship. The people of the West and their governments also believe this and therefore believe that the Moslems should be able to become good immigrants.
I now know I was given INCORRECT information by UNINFORMED people regarding the Islamic religion. Here is what I have learned. As far as what I am about to say, don’t just take my word as the truth, study about “their prophet” and how their religion grew for yourself and you too will know the truth. You will soon understand that the God THEY worship is NOT the God we worship!
Now please understand that what I am about to say is purely a western viewpoint because the Moslems see it entirely different. What I have learned is that Mohammed was a murdering, sadistic, raping, thieving, lying, slave trading, warmongering, pedophile, who had no problem assassinating anyone who spoke up against him or against “HIS” religion. These ARE documented historical facts; find them yourself!
In short - Mohammed and his band of followers started out by ROBBING the caravans that traveled the desert. He KILLED the caravan people if they tried to defend themselves and sometimes even when they did not try to defend themselves, and he then took their loot for himself and his followers.
He would attack the villages around him and kill off the men, take the women and children as SLAVES for himself and his followers and of course he would take their possessions. Any female slaves he desired were then RAPED. The historical records talk about him desiring a married woman of a family of UNBELIEVERS, so he killed her husband and raped her that night! It is in THEIR book!
Even though he had numerous wives and many slave girls, one day he saw his adapted son’s wife in some state of undress and suddenly had an urge for her. He told his son to divorce the woman so that he could have her. The son complied and Mohammed took her. (In the West, we WOULD NOT consider this to be a MORAL man!)
One wife he married when she was 6 years old. This is OK because there were many child marriages back then but there was NO sex until the girl well past the onset of puberty and so was 11 to 16 years old. In the West Mohammed would be defined as a PEDOPHILE because he strongly desired sex with this child bride. Finally when she was 9 years old, he had sex with her. It is written that at that moment she was playing dolls with her friends when the women came to take her to Mohammed. – Draw your own conclusions.
There are also stories of very SADISTIC acts carried out by Mohammed. For example, some man who committed some crime and when he refused to “repent” Mohammed cut off an arm and a leg. Day(s) later, the man still refused to repent and the prophet cut off his other arm and leg. Day(s) later the last refusal to repent lead to the burning out of the eyes, cutting out his tongue and dragging him out into the desert to die with the warning that anyone who tried to help this man would suffer the same fate. To which the Moslem “HOLY” book exclaims “Mohammed, the Merciful, the Just!” In the West we consider this to be SADISTIC!
FINALLY --- AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! Anybody who SPOKE AGAINST Mohammed was put to DEATH ! Anyone who SPOKE AGAINST ISLAM, was put to DEATH ! Anyone WHO LEFT ISLAM, was put to DEATH !
There is the story of 2 unrelated people, from the village that took the Mohammedans in when they were just starting out, who were shocked by what Mohammed and his followers were doing. They each wrote some kind of poem that painted Mohammed in a less than favorable light. The man was ASSASINATED in his sleep and likewise the woman was ASSASINATED in her sleep as well as her ENTIRE FAMILY!
The reason why this is so IMPORTANT is that, with ANYONE who spoke out against Mohammed or Islam, or even who left Islam once they had converted to Islam (or was born into Islam) being put to DEATH -- NO ONE SPOKE OUT ! NO ONE QUESTIONED ISLAM AND NO ONE TRIED TO LEAVE ISLAM !
People converted to Islam out of FEAR because people who were Moslem could not be killed by Mohammed’s army! They could NOT be made into slaves (only unbelievers could be slaves)! They could keep their property and they would have the protection of Mohammed’s army against the unbelievers. Covet thy unbelieving neighbor’s property – it is yours for the taking!
The Moslems excuse the killing, robbing and enslaving because he was waging God’s War against the nonbelievers! The Moslems say that if a woman is your slave, it is NOT rape when you have sex with her because you own her and she has no say in the matter. They say he was not a pedophile because the 9 year old was his wife. The Moslems ignore the other transgressions of Mohammed because AS God’s Prophet, there was ONE SET OF RULES that applied to Mohammed and ANOTHER SET of rules that applied to the rest of Islam.
The Moslems have been so indoctrinated that after 1,400 years, they truly believe BADMOUTHING Islam by ANYONE deserves death! They do not and cannot understand a FREE society.
Islam spread through war and rape. After Mohammed died, the various tribes started to leave Islam. The Mohammedan Army put a quick stop to that by killing the apostates. The Mohammedan Armies continued to wage war and Islam spread. The stories of how the holy warriors would move into an area, slaughter the men and place the women into harems are again – historical fact! Make a lot of babies with these women and soon Islam is the law of the land without question.
After the Islamists entered the Christian lands, the Christians fought back and stopped the Islamic advance into the West. And IN A COMPLETE REWRITING OF HISTORY, it is the Moslems who claim it was the Christians who attacked and waged a crusade against Islam! The Moslem wars against India saw incredible CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY waged against the Indian people! Historical FACT – just find it for yourself.
Christianity did not spread through war. Buddhism did not spread through war. Zoroasterism did not spread through war. Only Islam spread through war.
There is SO much more to this story, you need to find it and understand it for yourself. I believe that once the truth is known, Islam will be exposed for the terroristic religion it truly is! I know people here who were Moslem, who came to the West and when they found out the truth about their religion of “PEACE”, promptly left it knowing that they would not be put to death in the free countries of the West (although in reality, some have been murdered here for leaving Islam).
