France has for the first time explicitly accused Iran of using its nuclear programme as a cover for clandestine military nuclear activity.Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy told French TV no civilian programme could explain Iran's activity.
Iran says it resumed small-scale uranium enrichment work last week, after the UN nuclear watchdog reported it to the Security Council.
But Tehran insists the programme is solely for peaceful purposes.

Even they realize the grim spectre that a nuclear bomb would finally, and most assuredly, burn a number of cars that is just unacceptable.
Et tu Brute? If Iran lobs a nuke at Israel, Iraq or Europe, the response from the incumbent nuclear powers will necessarily resemble the assasination of Julius Ceasar. All must and will participate in the 30-minute barrage that will essentially erase the nation of Iran. The only possible exceptions may be India and Pakistan, whose leaders will be dining alfresco together while the rest of the incumbents X-ray Iran.

Let the bombing begin on Iran, for the world’s sake. Frankly, any Muslim country with a nuke scares me. I only wish we had stopped Pakistan from ever getting a nuke, you never know when they become the Afghanistan East. Well parts are already. It’s a very distressing situation all around.

But then, more than a week of Muslims rioting in the streets and burning, destroying property, and murdering innocent people can tend to do that to folks that finally wake up! I'll be glad when our government come to the same revelation.
Watch what the Isrealis are doing. When we see them lock down the territories, and start calling up reserves for no apparent reason, we will know that the bombing of iran is close at hand. I also think that Isreal will go midevil on hamas and islamic jihad at the same time we are doing our thing. In order to crush anything those ass holes have in the works.
One thing that makes this intervention particularly significant is that French expertise on the civilian uses of nuclear technology, and its difference from military uses, is almost unparalleled. Most of their electricity, unlike every other European country, is made from nuclear stations, and it is also one of the world's few nuclear powers. When the French say that the Iranian activities simply cannot be explained as civilian-intended, they have more authority, simply in terms of access to knowledge, than almost any other country.
Nice to see France exhibiting some backbone--finally. I hope it's for real.
As for the Isreali response. I doubt they will telegraph their punch.

I can see how any country which hasnt yet achieved nuclear could be very angry at America etc for stopping them getting this protection for themselves... They would think that how dare these countries think that they can have it and then lord it over us and tell us we cant...it would make me very angry and more determined to get nuclear. I would feel that this great American country would seem like a bully over the weaker countries and I would feel that it would be a danger to my country, and that now this big country can control us... so yes, I can see it from their point of view. But they of course dont realise that we have seen them fight with everyone around them at the drop of a hat, so there is no way that we want them to have such a dangerious thing, and if we wanted to kill them we sure would have done it by now...but we know that once they have nuclear that they will wipe us out at the drop of a hat and for no reason other than getting rid of the evil out of the world for Allah...
