Also let me recommend this excellent interview with Aayaan Hirsi on the Cartoon controversy.

Is there a way to listen later, like a recording? I looked at the site to see if this was the case, but it was confusing. Perhaps someone could tape it or something? I really don't want to miss this.
Also I checked on Amazon for books by IW (I like to read the reviews), and there is a new one coming out this fall called "What Koran?" and has essays on the variations and the basis of the Syriac poems and Christian liturgy. Promises to be good.
Thank you Mackie for the link to the Ali Hirsi interview above. I recommend the link to all. Hirsi is strong and brave in contrast to the entire BBC and the apologists at the Telegraph.
There is a recording of Mr. Spencer on "The Buzz Cut" today also at:

I don't know if it's a new interview or a replay I'm trying to listen at work. (Hard at work, here...ahem!)

I just noticed The Schiffer Report has Robert on as well. Too good!
Back to work now...

'Furor over Cartoons Mocking Prophet Mohammed'
The interview at http://www.moretothepoint.com/
is definitely worth listening to.
I was quite pleased to hear a French journalist staunchly defending the right to republish the cartoons that have ignited all this violence. It shows that Europe is indeed waking up to what is really going on here: "Faced with the danger between too much censorship, I would always choose [excess of freedom.]"
But, then to hear another European journalist with an English accent seriously put forth the notion that "self-censorship" is advisable if the consequences would be violence, makes me sick. This is nothing less than capitulation and appeasement and cowardice.
Listen for yourself.
This is good reading: http://service.spiegel.de/cache/international/0,1518,398853,00.html?partnerid=160
I also have to say that it is beyond infuriating when I hear Westerners talking about protecting "minorities" and averting from "racism" when they are discussing Islam and Muslims. This idiot reporter from "The Independent" continually makes such references.
Well, Muslims are not a race -- these cartoons are not about race -- they are about ISLAM. So, the cartoons are about religion, not the fact that someone is an Arab. This is the oldest trick in the book, to start talking about racism.
And we all know by now, that Islam is certainly NOT a minority in the world when it comes to religion.
We should be very thankful that Muslims are still a minority in all Western nations, but how long will this hold true if we continue to change our laws to protect their "feelings" at the cost of our very rights?!
Ibn Warraq gets it right: the reason some magazines and newspapers refuse to publish "inflammatory" materials with regards to Islam is pure and simply out of FEAR of reprisals and violence!
It's that simple and it has been that simple for centuries.
Did anyone hear the interview with a former terrorist become a Christian who talked about how the Wahabists are here in the US investing heavily in our Universities and news media and laying the legal groundwork so that in a generation when all is in place they will act and no one will be able to stop them? Just wondering if there is more on this. Can they be stopped? What can we do?
All this stupidity in the Mid-East is just a distraction so they can work invisibly here and sink their roots deep within our infrastructure.

No, I have not heard these specifics you mention, but the idea of such a strategy is well-known to me. This is amongst my greatest fears: that the United States will be taken slowly and silently by the Muslims as they continue to funnel their beliefs into our very existence and way-of-life, until such a time as actually removing them from North America will be impossible.
Action must be taken soon to deal with the Muslims that are already here: education to create apostates and loyal U.S. citizens would be a peaceful means, but if that should fail, I'm for expulsion to Canada or overseas for those that are obvious threats to the future of our nation.
People will cry that we should avert from draconian methods, but I guarantee you, when the next major attack strikes, draconian methods are not going to sound so bad to anyone who is sane.
