HYDERABAD: The controversial cartoon in a Danish newspaper had its echo in the Old City of Hyderabad with thousands of Muslims going on rampage after the prayers in Mecca Masjid in the afternoon.Over a dozen persons were injured even as unruly mobs indulged in stone pelting and looting of shops in at least six police station limits of the Old City. As the day passed, protests spread to other parts of the city and the tension heightened with BJP activists taking out rallies condemning the violence and demanding action against the guilty.
The All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) called a meeting inside Mecca Masjid this afternoon to protest the Danish cartoons. MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, MLAs Akbaruddin Owaisi and others participated in the meeting.
After the prayers, a strong mob of about 10,000 came out of the mosque even as hundreds of police personnel including Rapid Action Force commandoes stood guard.
Taking the police by surprise, the agitators split into small groups and moved in different directions pelting stones at shops, RTC buses and vehicles. By the time the police reacted, it was a bit late and the mobs looted some shops and set ablaze a couple of vehicles.
They also burnt Denmark national flag raising slogans. Some of the miscreants even used acid bulbs indicating that the attacks were pre-planned.

That came from a professional journalist in an anglophone country...? The first sentence gives the impression its the 'Denmark national flag' that is raising slogans.(:-D)
On a more serious note, the muzlim majority 'old city' areas of several Indian cities (Delhi, hyderabad, lucknow, Ahmedabad etc) are hellholes (relative to the cosmopolitan and Hindu majority ones). The Indian press regulalry throws a term around a term called 'ghettoization' of the minority community indicating that the muzlims are somehow victims and entirely blameless for their miserable condition.
"Terror made me victorious" said Mo, and every Mohammedan emulates him today.

You can very well imagine the state of a country where 140 muslims live as minority and has a cause to create trouble on name of opression. Well they are overall illiterates, with only one literature in their life, Quran,which is hatred inducing book. Now what do majority gets after being secular and democratic? trouble.
Muslim areas are the most shabby areas, they are dirty internally and externally. All they know is pray 5 times to get 72 virgins in paradise. Why dont they all commit suicide, go to heaven, fuck 72 virgins there instead.

Expect this to happen in cities that fall in states run by secular governments. Don't expect it in BJP run places like Ahmedabad.
Also, Muslim majority areas of cities tend to be high crime areas. Wonder why.

India should respond to this violence by arresting all rioters, their families, as well all members of AIMIM and their families, then immediately deport all of them to Pakistan.
Obviously, from many facts, the uproar has been and is being fueled by radicals who are aching to recruit suicide bombers. Maybe they're running out? Go figure.
All I can say is, in India, they'd better watch out. Hindu's have a record of tribal retaliation.
No doubt you and your readers noticed that the bounty on the Danish cartoonist(s) went up to include 25000 bucks or euro bucks AND a car. Plus, there is a promise of another million from a jeweller's association. Good luck collecting.

This is insane! Seriously riots in Hyderabad... over cartoon rage. I havent seen that many Muslims protesting repeated terror attacks on India by you-know-who .

Atlast, after so many meetings and discussions amongst the Indian muslim 'thinkers' and ulema, cartoon rage reaches India. Only problem for muslims is that quite a few Indians, like muslims themselves, here give two hoots to things such as human rights and other such fancy words.

Not only that, even when the BJP was in power, its 'allies' in the NDA forced it to pursue secular policies. In other words, a lot of policies that the BJP might have gone with on its own was forced off the table due to these allies.
The situation is however different in states, where the BJP normally is either the sole party in power (where it can run things its way, like Gujarat), or a supporting party (in which case, the odium of what happens rests solely on its allies). That's where this needs to be fought.
desi_singh is right. If Muslims tried rioting in places where there are significant number of infidels, they stand to get their can of whoopass. Granted that in certain places, the authorities may crack down on their behalf, but not before infidel rioters have had their say.
