Indian female tennis player Sania Mirza, 19, who is ranked 39th in the world, announced that she would not play with Israeli up and coming tennis star Shahar Pe’er in the doubles tournament of the Bangalore Open for fear of violent protests by India’s Islamic community.The two friends were prevented from cooperating in last month’s Australian Open for the same reason.
Mirza initially agreed to play with Pe’er in Bangalore, but later retracted, telling Pe’er “It’s best that we don’t play together this
time to prevent protests against my cooperation with an Israeli. There is no reason to arouse their ire (Muslims).”
Yes, there is. If their ire is unjust and bullying, decent people have every reason to arouse it, and to do everything they can to combat that injustice and bullying. But nowadays, virtually the whole world seems willing instead just to play along, give them what they want, to buy a little spurious peace.
They LOVE to see you FEAR, Ms Mirza. It's guaranteed to embolden them.

I'm not exactly a fan of Mirza (what's so great about #39 anyway?), but one should keep in mind her 'escapades' last year. She made her debut in the Australian Open last year, and immediately, the mullahs were howling about her open legs (since one doesn't play tennis wearing a burkha, or even for that matter, a salwar kameez). Late last year, an Indian celebrety (non-Muslim, if one is interested) raised a major outcry when she stated that no educated man should expect his bride to be a virgin. Sania Mirza spoke up in support of that, immediately raising howls from the Mullahs again.
Given that she had bitten off more than she could for the time being chew, I don't blame her for avoiding stepping on this one. For now, it is impressive that she considers the Israeli star a friend, and was willing to consider teaming with him in the first place. As an Indian, I am disappointed at this decision, but for now at least, I wouldn't hold it against her. Muslim girl, Jewish guy, enough to wipe the cartoons off the front pages.

Why do Indian Muslim movie stars not attract the same attention of the Mullahs?
Right now, she's just 19, or 20, but in India, still considered a minor. In the long term, I think that as she becomes more of a celebrity in India, she would have the opportunity to break away from the mullahs. For now, it's too bad that she is trapped in that community.
Her other option - marry an infidel. And watch the mullahs melt down, while they won't have any control on her if she ceases to be Muslim.
We won't have peace in the long run anyway if we give in to threats now.
The "What's next, short skirts?" phrase again comes to mind here. The imams are condemning this girl for wearing short skirts. (They'd be happier if she were running around the court in a burka). And if the imams are able to get the slaves of Allah to riot over cartoons, short skirts may be next.
Now the slaves of Allah are using their threats to promote their anti-Semitism by trying to prevent his young woman from playing tennis with a Jewish athlete. The worst thing that could be done is to give in to these threats.
By giving in to the slaves of Allah like this, we are rewarding them. Rewarding terrorists by giving them what they want only increases the likelihood that they, and others, will engage in more threats and violence in the future. Holding back publication of the Mohammad cartoons rewards the terrorist tactics. This means that Islamists will be further emboldened. They will use their tactics even more, and apply them more broadly.
The slaves of Allah know that, more than anything else, we value human life and our freedoms. Therefore they attack us by threatening and wantonly killing our civilians and by encroaching on our freedoms. They have been using that weapon to their advantage. But the slaves of Allah and their leaders dread, more than anything else, that their precious ideology and their prophet would be made to look bad. We need to use this weapon to our advantage. Every time Muslims make threats or riot, we should massively increase our criticism and lampoon of Islam. We need to have lampoon and criticism of Islam in the MSM regularly. We need to show them the atrocities of Mohammad and the verses of rape, terror, beheadings, imperialism, and hate in the Koran. Unfortunately, the media will not cooperate. They will not do their jobs as investigative journalists, and the comedians and cartoonists are afraid to tackle Islam.
By holding back in the publication of the cartoons, the MSM is contributing to more riots, more threats, more encroachment on our freedoms. Now that the Islamists have been rewarded, their threats and violence will increase in the future. The only way to reduce the Islamic violence in the long run is to present more and more criticism, more and more well-deserved lampoon.

Malaika Arora (still is a roman catholic)-Arbaaz Khan had a nikaah and a church wedding. Their son was baptised.
Shah Rukh married Gauri Chibber. They have son, Aryan. In an interview, Shah rukh said his son practises at least three religions. Hindu, muslim, christian.

IMHO, it is not only the actresses but the whole of the film industry. With all the news channel's sting operations, 'filmi' people in underworld dealings etc, common folk see through the smokescreen. 'Pseudo-secoolar' creatures are dime aplenty in Bollywood.
