Given that for the last 250 years no Muslim country, army or power has ever won an aggressive war against any Western power; given that, with exceptions that can be counted on the fingers of one hand, they lost even when they were fighting on their own home ground (the exceptions being Afghanis against British and Russians, Algerians against French, and Turks against Greeks in 1923), the repeated calls to war against the West are ludicrous. If there is one thing that has been shown from the Russian war of the 1770s to the invasion of Iraq in 2003, it is that Muslims cannot win a war against a Western army, except in rare and unusual circumstances. These people are vicious, brutish and ignorant, and no doubt they are dangerous enough, but they are another thing: they are a fucking joke.

The only thing that our authorities have paid attention to is that no one violates these guys civil rights. They can threaten the downfall of the U.S., or even call for jihad, they can even be guilty of espionage, but nothing will happen.
For the rest of us Americans just make sure that you don't violate these guys civil rights, i.e. no cartoons, and don't point out that they are making threats against America because their reply will be "freedom of speech". It's striking, the difference in effect when I see these pictures, as opposed to the pictures of the London protests.

In spite of views that are repugnant to the core, the right to speak freely must be protected. And if one speaks freely but falsely, there are the courts to handle such matters.
For the Moslem world, Free Speech is a monstrously large Achilles, which causes the Ummah to tremble to its very foundations. Free Speech means the ability of individuals to confess their faith openly throughout the entire world, church bells in Mecca if you like. Itss corollary is that individuals have the right to embrace the religion of their choice without fear of retribution. It further means the right to express agreement or not with another's point of view and to openly engage in such discussions. It means everything that the Moslem world is not. It means that eventually, the light of reason, charity and humanity would have a chance to enter into the Moslem world.

SOme might see this as a position of weakness but it's not at all. The fact is that most of the world isn't even willing to admit that islamofascism is a threat. We are still in the phase of trying to increase awareness. I watched the towers burn from my window that day in Sept. We all went to donate blood but there was no one left to receive it. Believe me, i wanted to nuke everybody! How dare they! But... we have to do this right or we will lose.
I think of a friend of mine who immigrated from Pakistan. Despite growing up muslim, she is now an agnostic and about as muslim as JFK was catholic in practice. She had to go against her family's wishes and not marry the guy that had been arranged for her. It was very difficult for her but she is as American as you or i and has no desire for anything that islam has to offer. Should she be deported? I hope not because i won't have anyone to bum cigarettes off of.
Another friend of mine had a father who was a general in the Sha's Army. When the revolution happened he had to witness his father's execution at the hands of islamic fanatics. He is Iranian. His name sounds Iranian but he doesn't accept Islam or any of that crap despite growing up that way. Should he be deported?

The pedagogical value of a photograph like the one above should not be overlooked. Like those showing the savages in London last week, it is powerful enough to awaken sleeping Infidels, and it should be used exactly for that purpose. The muslims depicted are doing what their imams tell them to do, ostensibly to demonstrate the endurance and ultimate supremacy of islam even at the site of it's worst attack on our country. We are not talking about Baptists, Catholics, Lutherans, atheists of arab or persian descent. We are talking about muslims of any color, any ethnicity, from anywhere. A real muslim rejects all secular law because only "Allah" can make law, not men. Their loyalty is to the Islamic world community, NOT to any particular country. Wow, people are being a bit tough on fatnum IMO. It IS a reasonable point to make that really extreme language on this site could turn people off to the overall message. This point has been brought up numerous times here. I'm guilty myself of forgetting it at times and I personally don't mind being reminded periodically to watch my words.
But he (or she) is also raising an important point about how Muslims define themselves and what role that will play in the future should deportation become an issue at some point. Others are correct in pointing out that the kinds of people fatnum describes are not technically Muslims, anymore than fatnum is a Christian. But while nominal Christians in the west can get away with calling themselves Christians without ever seriously asking themselves whether they do or do not believe that Jesus was actually the son of God and answering that question for themselves once and for all (something which I assume every Christian in Muslim lands asks and answers for themselves quite seriously), there may come a time when Muslims in the west will have to seriously put the question to themselves whether they fully believe that the Koran is the actual word of God and Muhammad is his final messenger. At some point they may be forced to ask themselves this question.
My preference would be that they begin asking themselves this question NOW and if they cannot answer in the affirmative, then they should cease identifying themselves as Muslims. In other words, the true nominal Muslims (in the west at least) need to find the courage to cease calling themselves Muslims at all. They should do this for reasons of personal honesty to themselves first of all but secondly they should do it if they wish to fully dissociate themselves from the madness of what they must recognize to be the real Islam, and if they wish to put human civilization itself above their own petty, individual identity problems. In the long run, if they do so, it will actually reduce the chances that they will be swept up in massive deportations or whatever else ensues, at which point it may well be too late.

No, American muslims who do not break the law should not be deported. That don't mean we don't pay special attention to them.
The problem is imigration. This is the real issue, the ones here will eventually be "corrupted", as long as we don't take in too many at once. Under the circumstances, I think non-muslim(apostates, or others who are at risk) immigration should be the priority.

We need to offer amnesty from Apostacy in the West. Full and complete protection should be offered for all those wishing to leave this cult that will self implode in time, if it is not completely outlawed in the Western Hemisphere.
If there was a way to reach the millions of slaves of islam in the West with this message, then millions could be freed. Linda - I'm not sure that's completely true. I'm thinking of all these "moderate Muslims" that westerners describe as their roommates in college, colleagues at work and so on, who don't go to mosque, like to go out for a beer, listen to rock and roll music, are friends with Christians and Jews, completely eschew violence and so on. Obviously their own families must see their behavior and apparently it doesn't bring down upon them what you describe. They're like western Catholics 20 or 30 years ago who had premarital sex, stopped going to mass, got divorced, never went to confession etc. At some point, one asks someone like that, who calls themselves a Catholic, whether they actually believe in the doctrine of papal infallibility. Many such folks raised Catholic said NO. And now they call themselves ex-Catholics. Certainly this caused tensions within the family and I realize that the tensions of actually breaking with islam altogether for many of these nominal Muslims could be even worse, but it can be done (again, I am restricting this to western Muslims). It NEEDS to be done. These folks who CAN, need to start peeling themselves away in name from islam altogether. They are providing cover for the extremists, they are feeding the inflated numbers that Muslims love to cite (which may encourage more western converts), they are making it harder for the rest of us to make crucial differentiations between friend and foe. And for their own good, even, when the s**t hits the fan in the west, those with a long history of no longer calling themselves Muslim are less likely to get swept up in whatever mess ensues. If they refuse to do this - and insist on clinging to their identities as Muslims, even as their compatriots continue to wreak violent havoc across the planet, then IMO they bear some responsibility for stubbornly continuing to identify themselves with this ideology that has declared itself the enemy of all the rest of mankind. As we all know here, Islam isn't a race. It is in fact voluntary to some degree. And as the world's patience wears thin with this ideology, people will be less and less willing to make subtle distinctions amongst this ideologies adherents and they will begin to hold them collectively responsible for the threat they represent to the rest of humanity. So to those who have the capacity to do so - please - get the hell OUT of the way!
All the non-Muslim world has to take a lesson from Israel today, and our civilized historical past. A large wall needs to be built to separate Muslim territories from non-Muslim territories, and the Muslims all kept on their side of it. In France there is a region (Alsace) whose speciality is the pork soup... you know, like beer is German, wine is French or Coca Cola is American... an association distributes this soup to poor people (people who live in the street) to nourish them, help them during Winter. For those of you who are speculating on the identity of "Naseem", she claims to be a muslim woman from Pakistan. I believe she said that she once lived in Britain, but I'm not sure. She has a son in college in Britain, presumably because all of the stellar universities in Pakistan are chock full of bright, ambitious, young muslim fanatics pursuing degrees in Islamic Studies so they can open new madrassas and minister to the ummah, which is dire need of guidance.
Naseem either suffers from multiple personality disorder or others post under her name; I rather suspect the latter. She belongs to the Ahmadiyah sect of the cult of Islam, considered heretical by the followers of Sunni and Shi'ite Islam. She is used to suffering and wishes to share her pain. She wouldn't be any better off than we kafirs if the Caliphate reigned supreme.

Susanp - I have also gleaned the same facts about Naseem. I have seen no compelling argument not to take her at face value. I would add to your 'face-value' facts - she works in an office, her marriage is a relatively equitable one by Muslim standards, and she obviously owns a computer. As you point out - she claims to have educated a son in Britain. What it all adds up to for me is Privelege. If we take her claims at face value, she is a relatively well-to-do, priveleged Pakistani Muslim woman. It is that fact which I think accounts for her attitude of supremacy at this site. And for why she seems to think that Islam is 'no problemo'. I chalk her attitude up to myopia born of privelege. I figure that being priveleged as she appears to be, Islam really IS no problem for her and hence, like many self-centered Muslims, she is incapable of empathy, even for her less priveleged sisters. Her life is fine and dandy, ergo Islam is fine and dandy, and therefore she is blind to the suffering of her Muslim sisters around the world and also oblivious and indifferent to the real world consequences of what Islam would mean to western women, who might not be as personally fortunate financially speaking as Naseem herself, should they lose their hard-won freedoms. In other words, as far as I can tell, Naseem is basically a selfish, spoiled, myopic woman. No different from many human beings all around the world, including many women (and of course men) in the west. Only difference is, that her myopia and complacent egotism represent a real danger to us women in the west, inasmuch as she wouldn't blink an eye at the reversal of all our rights.
In any case, that's my overall impression, taking what she has presented about herself at face value. I am not interested enough in who she really is to speculate much beyond what she presents at face value. Why would I be? Most of the internet is anonymous and it would simply require too much effort to speculate on every poster. As many have pointed out, she has indeed presented a seemingly inconsistent persona. But I'm decidedly with those who say, who the hell cares who she is? At least half her posts are thoroughly obnoxious in their grandiosity and their implicit hopes/threats to see us all subjugated to Islam. That alone should certainly render her basic messsage boring as hell to us infidels by now. We get the message. She's merely one of millions. What's new?

Isabelle: I stumbled across another heartbreaker today at LGF. A poster there, "Terp Mole" I think, concocted a little ditty based on the song "Teach your children well".
He twisted the words to fit an islamic theme using links every line to show bloody children and men at the Ashura "festivities". One showed a child in a walker with a pacifier in its mouth. Blood was caked all over it from the gashes in the child's head.

Nowhere here does Christ say that a man has to become a Christian. Nowhere here does Jesus give texican permission to claim that hellfire awaits all muslim males. I live by the truth of what Christ says here. I do not equivocate God's word, I live by it. Given that Jesus was the earthly life lived by the Father, what does it actually specifically mean when Christ says 'but by me' - given that He was a practising Jew, and that the first generation of His followers saw themselves as a movement within Judaism? If, for example, you think He meant that only Christians could be saved, then you are equivocating God's word, because Christ simply does not say that! Are you seriously telling me that Christ's message when He addressed the poor of Gallilee was 'convert from Judaism to my new religion or you'll all go to Hell for eternity?' If so, I find Him about as loving as Muhammed, and as I know that God is Love (because scripture says so), this reading cannot be the correct one!
In fact of course it's not true, there are numerous examples throughout the Gospels of people being cured, healed, and saved by their 'faith' - without ever once giving any clue that they have converted to a new religious denomination. Indeed, many of them are non-Jews, people whom the religious orthodoxy of Christ's time would've considered unworthy, just as texican considers all muslim males outside of God's eternal plan of salvation.
Perhaps then we can put His words in the context of His overall teaching, and realise that in saying 'but by me' He meant something to do with receiving and living out God's love in your life, as He does in His; as, in fact, He has been created to do from all eternity. Certainly, in the absence of evidence that Jesus was anything other than a practising Jew, you haven't actually told me anything specific by putting your own later, western Christian interpretation on the text (your own equivocation, dare I say? - just because you know what YOU specifically mean when YOU interpret a passage of scripture that has been translated from a foreign language and culture, that doesn't mean that you know what GOD means in His word, let alone the translator!)

Again, I live by this. And again, I don't see any specific instruction here on what denomination of earthly organised religion the Creator wants His children to sign up for in order to be saved. Same as my first answer - Christ is the door, yes, but if you think that this curious image is in any way specific then I can only say that your own beliefs have put an extra layer over the text that is not there. My question to you is this - a baby is born, in Saudi Arabia. Its parents are muslim. Its culture is muslim. It has nothing but islam placed in its head all its life. It would be illegal for this this child, now a teenager, to abandon islam. As a man, this person acts with love and honesty all his life, to the best of his ability. Because Christian preaching is outlawed in his country, he never has the chance to hear the truth about Christ's message.

Of course, we don't want to damage or deface the book, not out of a sense of virtue or respect (heaven forbid!), but simply because the librarians WILL call the police if their public property is damaged. But leaving the book upside down on the shelf, or next to the Bible, or with a picture of a pig deposited inside, or a newspaper advertisement for bacon, or a copy of one of the Danish cartoons . . .
I like to wear a gimmie cap when I go shopping for groceries. It has a nicely embroidered pig on the front; it comes from some farm and ranch supply company. I'm always on the lookout for some muslim to ask the directions to the SPAM section.

Personally, I decided in November of 2001 that I was never going to defer to a muslim again. I will be polite if I am treated politely, but I will not hold a door for a muslim, nor will I adjust my path if one approaches. I will not defend one in court, and I don't care how rich they are. If some "moderate" muslims are offended by this, if they think it is "racist" or discriminatory, then I think the correct attitude here in my corner of Texas is "Tough Shit" and the correct oral directive is "Kiss My Ass". The moderate muslims can demonstrate their moderation by wearing a patch that says "Don't Blame Me" or "Defeat Jihad" or some other unambiguous declaration of jihad-rejection and abhorrence. Their declarations need to be made early and often, and unless and until they do this they are "suspects" and not to be trusted in any way whatsoever. Their brethren hath done this unto them all. They have been tarred with their own brush.
There is a war on, folks. The shooting hasn't started yet in this neighborhood, and it may not have started yet in yours, either. Maybe it never will. My neighborhood didn't see any shooting in World War II, Korea, Viet Nam, Panama, Grenada, Gulf I, Gulf II, or Afghanistan. But that doesn't mean that the local mosque doesn't have a rocket-propelled grenade or three stashed in the rafters. I've described how to smuggle those things in in the diplomatic pouches that bypass customs inspections. Don't think it isn't done. I got a stamp collection out of Eastern Europe that way many years ago. And I have personally paid to be taken back and forth across the Rio Grande in a row-boat, so I know a smuggler can carry that stuff without being caught.
Look at your local mosques. They're new, aren't they. Newer than the churches around your area, right? Now, look closely. First notice the iron fence. Without trespassing, do you see how the door is set back some distance from the street? (Did you have any trouble actually figuring out what/where was this door? Did you think you were stupid, or what?) Do you see that it is obstructed by a pillar or column, or something else? Is that like the churches in your area? Do you see how the mosque is constructed to protect from an enfilade? Now, granted, many mosques are not like this, being established in strip shopping centers, etc. But look at the ones specially constructed with the big MONEY.
One poster above (sorry, I can't find it now) has opined that the "protection" will be given to the muslims if and when any violence starts. I think that is exactly right. And you can damn well plan on not having access to three things if and when it does: (1) guns, (2) ammo, and (3) liquor. This is what the authorities always think about first. Shut down the gunplay. Look to the Los Angeles riots for guidance. By the way, the National Guard that was sent in to "restore order" was not armed. The arming order did not provide for the transfer of the necessary ammunition. The soldiers had rifles, but no bullets. And, for what it's worth, don't wait for President Hillary Clinton to protect your Second Amendment rights, either. So, you know what to do. Do it now. Keep it quiet. Get another for practice and to turn in when the time comes.

It's sad. I've read so much political hatred on this site, so many calls for violence, and I ignore it all because we are united in finding the rise if islamofascism a horrific thing. In Germany, to be referred to as Herr Doktor, is a title cherished by many. It represents not only a title, but also prominence in the community. This same pattern used to be common with East Europeans. In other words, to have a prominent title was to be revered. However, increasingly in those lands, it is not the degree possessed, but the size of one’s house and car. After all, when Russian academics were forced to sell apples in the market, what is there to say about academia? East Europeans always secretly idolized the German model of efficiency and “cleanliness” in most aspects of their lives. They also admired the German academia and sciences. Although they do not admit to it, and may even express animosity towards the Germans, they seek to emulate them. That’s a pity in some ways since the Germans themselves have grown increasingly slothful academically. The same will happen to East Europeans but for more complex reasons. Germans for example, have slowly moved away from traditional European study of religion since they do not take religion seriously anymore. Europeans were under the impression that serious discussions about Christianity (or Islam) was most appropriately relegated mainly to religious circles, since religion is not that important to most people. This is not to say that Germans are totally ignorant of history, but the comforts of post-war reconstruction have created a culture where liberal studies are generally not as popular. It follows that since Christianity was no longer important, it was not deemed important to look at Islam. Few expected Islam to become the threat to Europe that it has become.
Most Eastern Europeans, out of a sense of economic desperation to ”catch up” to the West, do not feel they have the luxury to afford to spend on liberal arts. The realities of the global market have decayed Eastern Europe’s liberal arts. Communism allowed such arts to flourish since the study of them allowed one to receive a decent wage to survive. But as you know, those arts were not allowed to be free of government interference.

Another factor is that even peoples of the Balkans are beginning to forget because the situations in those nations have improved. Next there is that fact that atheism caused Moslems in many countries, like Albania to cast off their religion. In light of this, it was believed that Islam would be eradicated from the Balkan Peninsula.
TARTAR SAUCE OR STEAK TARTAR
Poland and Romania (and others see below) have tiny amounts of Muslim Tartars. They are now “peaceful” and have lived there for centuries. Please note that as you well know, they were not always so peaceful. They adopted the language and culture of the nations in which they lived. The existence of these “non violent” pockets of Moslems have provided evidence to some that modern Moslems do not cause problems. What these nations have not considered is that their numbers are simply too small to cause problems. Moreover, communism took away their ability to perform Dawa. Ukraine also has a fairly small number of Tartars in the Crimea, but so many were killed by Stalin that the Crimean peninsula is not as Moslem as it was. However, the Crimean peninsula might yet prove troublesome for the Ukraine in the future as many Tartars moved back to their lands. So far, the Ukraine has not had serious problems with the Tartars. But perhaps the exception to the “good” Tartars rule is Bulgaria where their numbers are far greater. Perhaps the Bulgarians will not forget since continue to have many problems with their population of Tartars and Turks. However, with the possible exception of Bulgaria and parts of Macedonia (which also was once part of Bulgaria), we are really taking about some parts of the former Yugoslavia and Albania being the REAL Ottoman remnants. For the rest, the visible signs of former Ottoman rule are fast disappearing, or in some cases such as Hungary, have nearly completely vanished.
EMMIGRATION
When immigrants from these lands came to the West, they became obsessed with making a living; they had "no time" for history books. While I have sparred with Hugh over his notion on homo economicus, there is truth in what he says insofar as the preoccupation with making money seems to have taken precedence over all else. I repeat that I am in favor of a market system as it is the best the world has to offer, but it does have consequences. Those refugees got caught up in the race for economic prosperity almost immediately. Ovidius_naso, I am a Pole and I watch closely the post-EU accession Polish immigrants in the UK. Most of them can only get by in English, the women are cleaners and the men are builders and ...you guess not so handsome Polish plumbers.
They do not venture to central London, they live in their Polish enclaves, socialize within their own Polish-speaking circles, watch Polish satellite TV. They think about the families and dreams left behind in Poland. They cherish the opportunities and new life horizons that this country has offered too them. I, for one, need no more than that. The cartoons violence has brought many more to realise the same. I've read the scripture all of my life, I've also studied it for four years at a very good University, and read it every day. I've never heard of Cliff notes, so I suggest you stick your insults back where they came from.
Your comments about Jesus coming to 'inhance' (sic) rather than change are pretty ridiculous, given that Paul says we are now living in a new covenant, and an entirely new relationship with God. I suggest you read St Paul again with your brain turned on.
The passage you cite from Luke is a metaphor, clearly. Nowhere in it does Jesus advise his followers to take up arms. The only references Jesus makes to physical violence are to tell his disciples not to fight to defend him. He says quite clearly, THOSE WHO LIVE BY THE SWORD SHALL DIE BY THE SWORD. What is your answer to that? It's really very simple.
The second passage from Luke also contains no reference to violence or physical force whatsoever. I can't believe you actually believe the crap you write. Mussolini - you take two passages out of their context, stitch them together because of some superificial similarity that results, and hey presto - yes, Jesus who never resorted to violence against any human being suddenly supports your political viewpoints! You know what, the Bible can - and has been - used to support slavery, racial supremacism, and conquest. All of these causes did exactly what you are doing - taking verses in isolation so as to misinterpret and misuse them in pursuit of some political goal.
Let's look at your so-called call to arms from Christ, but this time, let's try putting it some context.
Jesus tells the story of a man who finds treasure in a field. The man hides it, then sells everything he owns to buy the field. You tell me oh great exhorter - is this a metaphor for the process of salvation, or is it a detailed call for followers of Christ to buy large chunks fo real estate in case they find treasure? It's the former - of course - so we see Jesus making an all-or-nothing plea, using physical treasure (WHICH HE HELD IN LOW REGARD) as a metaphor for His kingdom.
Again, Jesus tells the wonderful story of the shepherd who has lost a sheep on the moutains. He leaves the entire flock unprotected in order to go and look for the single lost sheep. You tell me - is this another all-or-nothing parable about the dynamics of salvation, or is it a set of 'specific' instructions for Christian shepherds, instructions which, if followed, would see them losing far more than one single sheep? Naturally, it's another parable, a metaphor of salvation. I'm sure you agree.
An now look at this - sending his followers out into the world, having told them that WHOEVER LIVES BY THE SWORD WILL DIE BY THE SWORD, and having reminded them that he sent them out into the world without sustenance or protection, Jesus urges them to sell their garments in order to buy swords. Again, in the context of his usual teaching, is this ANOTHER all-or-nothing metaphor about the nature of their mission, OR is it a detailed instruction to his followers to ignore everything he has previously taught them about violence, to break the Judiac taboo on nakedness by selling their clothes, and to go out into the world brandishing actual physical swords in order to fight with people (which, of course, Acts tells us they conspicuously did not)???

Freedom is not free and it requires LIVING WITH RISK! You can't handle risk, you can't handle freedom. What you may not see is that freedom is destroyed by government eliminating risks. That is PROACTIVE government, and the ANTI-THESIS of what we HAD years ago. It's gone, but I still will resist it.

Yeah, the con is long gone in regards to the government. The illegal power grabs by all branches of government starting just after the constitution was ratified (the big one being my aforementioned Alien and Sedition Acts) saw to the death of that document long ago.
I think we all humor ourselves to live by it, and none of our politicians are itnerested in restoring it to its original intent, either.

Risk and danger... Know how close it is? Islam has somewhere around 6% of the population. Conservatives sneer at that figure and claim 1%... well they've never been to southern California. CAIR says they have 10% or more.
You know? It matters not even if they only have 1%. Imagine a referendum to add sharia law as a voluntary system as a gesture of "respect" and "inclusion" for this "noble" and "peaceful" "religion." Half of our country is that multi-culti politically correct type of tree-hugger that would immediately vote in the affirmative.
As of this moment, better than half our idiotic populace would vote to "respect" Islam.
That's how close the danger is.
It is an outrage that the world is so embroiled in the fight for our very survival from Islam.
The majority of the individuals that post here and on other similar sites would rather be following their hearts desire instead of trying to convince our governments to wake up and realize that Islam intends on conquering the world and destroying our freedoms.
Even though we do not always agree about our religious convictions, we have the right to disagree.
These rights will be taken from the world if Islam prevails.
We are in a war for our very survival with Islam and our governments just will not common to grips with this.

I don't think it should be accepted...being a Muslim myself and coming from a country with the largest Islamic population in the world and still a citizen I would still vote NO to Sharia law...while some of the law maybe considered as progressive most are retrogressive and in the wrong hands it can just get out of control. Especially when there is no mechanism to control the power of the Administrator of the law.

Sorry people but where will the oil come from? we can deport them all, burn their mosques ban their religion but while the west lives the affluent lifestyle of waste and leasure we're going to need arab oil.....so get used to it, it will all die down soon........OR we can turn the arabs deserts into glass!! 1. I'm not in the US but happens to follow closely the current events in the world.
2. A lot of this so called Islamic Laws descends
from the Middle East. Indonesian Muslims (prior to all this current stupid extremist activites) in the 1980's refused the compulsory wearing of the Hijab for all female Indonesians. The reason? It does not belong to our culture...the female can wear one should she choose to do so. Of course for some sect's this is a compulsory and that's their business.
It seems to me you're applying a blanket measure...do you think that every Muslims are the same that they would support all this? So what's to become of the Muslim's should they have something different they want to believe other than the Sharia law? A bad Muslim or not a Muslim? For them to be a good Muslim they need to be a fundamentalist? There is no middle ground? Do all Christians read the same bible?
The US freedom and democracy in its present form comes through hard won fight from its citizens. Its form 40 years ago maybe quite different from now. Remember segregation and the violence that ensue from the change?
Do you denounce your citizenship just because your country did something wrong instead of trying to fix it? I don't think so.
For many Muslims who spoke out and questions their Mullah's authority there is a price on their head perhaps something that not many are willing to take.
So can we not play the same game? For your attitude is becoming close to the Islamic fundamentalists. Different in beliefs similar in nature.
Anyway Texican, good day to you :) And as for World Domination many of us are too busy making a living to be bothered about stuff like that. It's too much hard work when there is more to our immediate surroundings to look after. Or perhaps ask those Fundamentalists or some Americans who believe in it.

What do you mean, Where will the oil come from? What kind of question is that? Don't you know that you live ,I assume, in the greatest country on the face of the earth? AMERICA!!! We know how to produce our own oil! Please don't be shocked. It's true. We have oil right here in the United States. In the Gulf of Mexico, in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois. we have untapped oil miles off the California coast, oil in Alaska, and untapped oil in the Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve. And the oil companies are always looking for deposites all of the time. That's what they do.
The auto makers and designers are always improving on American vehicles. We now have the Hybrid cars that run off both gas and electric power. Our vehicles are the most fuel efficient now than at any time in automotive history. And more innovations are on the way.
Buddy, my friend don't ever get down about, how we're going to get along without Arab oil. They're more afraid of "We the People" not needing their oil than we are of not having it.
So be of good cheer, and let not your heart be troubled. We're Americans and Americans always have a plan, a way in and a way out. Why do you think the Islamofeces are so jealous of us and our country. Remember, the oil in their country belongs to them, but the drills and the other technologies that they use to get the oil belong to US!!!

Yep, there's plenty of oil.
Oil is the most efficient producer of energy we have, that is also cheap.
In America, the crude is difficult to extract. In the Middle East, the ground is like s ponge. The oil almost jumps out of the ground. In the US, the ground is very hard and the oil requires much more effort to bring up - thus it costs more.
Since we have a huge economy and it operates nominally on the free market system of capitalism, we fuel it based on the most efficient and cost effective method of energy. Oil.
America needs to bite the bullet on a crash program to build nuke plants, zero-emission coal plants, and development of alternate fuel for vehicles that can retro-fit gas-burners.
Would have to expect equivalent prices to be in the $4-$5 range per gallon for a while until our market develops capitalistic efficiencies.
