NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - A recent upsurge in violence in Somalia's capital has focused attention anew on the rise of Islamic fundamentalism in the chaotic Horn of Africa state. The violence had killed at least 22 people and wounded more than 140 since Saturday.Sheik Hassan Dahir Aweys, said by the United States to be linked to al-Qaida, is prominent among the fundamentalists increasingly projecting themselves as an alternative to the numerous armed groups running the clan-based fiefdoms that comprise Somalia.
I think the public in the West is becoming more aware of these problems.
The EU Referendum site linked to a MORI poll carried out for the Sun newspaper in the UK. Respondents had indicated that the most important item on the political agenda was "Defence/foreign affairs/international terrorism”.
As the EU Referendum site points out, this is not what the "political classes" are telling the public, but the public is obviously making up its own mind.
I know someone who flies in and out of Nairobi every several months. He has told me, on almost every trip, he has observed planes, loaded with Somalians, headed for the US as new immigrants. These are the same people who have been in the forefront of demanding special priviledges for their women in hospitals, special rooms for prayers at airports as they wait for their fares, and special Islamic-approved art classes for their children. Why don't they find new homes in Saudi Arabia, where all of their special needs can be easily accomodated? But, of course, that won't make our elites in the State Department happy. They want lots more of those special people here in the US.

I've just heard a similar report about Australia accepting large numbers of Somali's. This is intolerable.
Eastern Europe has highly skilled people who are well educated and skilled, many would be grateful if they were allowed to migrate here, and they find it extremely difficult, if not impossible to migrate to Australia.
This Mohammedan rabble is a heavy burden on our society and it will haunt us for many years to come, especially once the FGM starts, the honor killings, the forced marriages and the assault and rape against native infidel women and children.

What is the difference between Islam and the civilized the world??
Islam enflames the basic barbaric depravity of men to repress and subjugate women and enslave or execute all others, men and women, not of their religion that will not join their faith without any penalty from Islam for their actions.
Islam allows for all manner of depravity: rape, murder, theft and lying against non-Muslims without any punishment or condemning of the Muslims by their faith. If you are a Muslim and see a Non-Muslim woman and want her, you can rape her without repercussions for Islam. Muslims do not respect or follow any laws of any nation except for Islam.
All other religions condemn such depravity with due punishment in our courts and from our God(s) when we pass on.
The laws of most countries are based on the common tenants of most religions aptly summed up in the Ten Commandments.
The mutual respect for each human being that is the basis of our laws separates the civilized world from the barbaric tenants of the Koran that allows for:
Muslim women to be stoned for adultery
Daughters of Muslims to be murdered for supposed ills against the family
Rape of Non-Muslim women
Murder of innocent Non-Muslims
Destruction of Non-Muslim places of worship
To list but just a few.
If the Koran is the true word of God, then Muslims have to follow all of it dictates including conquering the world and converting all to Islam or murdering those that will not convert to Islam. You can not be a Muslim without following all of the dictates of the Koran. Any Muslim that confesses otherwise is lying as allowed by the Koran so they can continue to grow until Islam is strong enough to conquer each country and then the world.

Too true! We have some here in NZ, I remember interviewing one Polish woman for a clerical job who was vastly overqualified with 5 languages, 2 degrees and incredibly high motivation and enthusiasm. Another was my violin teacher for a while - very highly educated and motivated again. These people can be so cultured and educated that the only reason Australia and NZ might not want them could be that they make us look bad by comparison!
On what grounds is the INS allowing in anyone from Somalia? On the theory that they will integrate well? INS does not exist Hugh, it is now the Department of Homeland Security. Private citizens can, and should, contact DHS and their local representatives and voice their concerns.

This is the worst news I have heard in a long time.
In East Africa, Somalis are known as the worst of the worst. Their main occupations are chewing qat, brigandry, and drug dealing. With few exceptional persons, they are the worst in the muslim world.
