I know, they were protesting the cowardly failure of the NY Times, Wash. Post, LA Times, etc to print these realistic cartoons.
Getting through the gate is the last thing these creatures want to do. Behind that gate is most likley a platoon or more of heavily armed US MARINES, who are just waiting to go all postal on someone!

Everyone on staff at a US Embassy in an Islamic country knows full well, and remebers very clearly the take over of the embassy in Tehran in 1979. No one is more keenly aware of what will happen should they get in than the US Marines on staff to guard the embassy, and you better beleive those Marines will do whatever it takes to stop those rioters. Those rioters have no idea what they are in for if they get into that embassy. Im here to tell you, those rioters are in for a rude shock if they do get into the compound. they are not going to get a cordial reception.
But i'd like to take a moment to proclaim how i feel about this particular incident. i think it just goes to show what kind of morons populate the nation of indonesia. when the tsunami came and destroyed their country and devestated their people, it sure wasnt Al Qaeda who came to the rescue, or the prophet mohammed, it was us, the United States. if this is attack on our embassy is gratitude, let em starve and let em all suffer. i could not care less. let em all be, and save our compassion to those who deserve it.

The embassy guards are well within their right to machine gun any hostile enemy that enters the compound which is regarded as American soil.
The guards are protected by diplomatic immunity and the Indonesian rent-a-crowd would have been well aware of that so the show for the cameras was just that.
And as was stated above, where were some of the TRILLIONS of petro dollars received by the arab muslim countries when their fellow muslims needed help after the tsunami??

Reuters, The AP, Yahoo -- who should I be unimpressed with here? Because I am certainly unimpressed by somebody.
I went to Yahoo and I looked at the photo gallery. -1 pt. for Yahoo, the gallery is titled "Muslims Offended by Danish Cartoons". Uhm, frankly, as a news story, this is more like Muslims world wide begin rioting. But, okay, title aside, I start to watch the slide show. There are 455 slides. Of the first 100, it only shows protesters committing violence in one slide. This slide is showing them burning a church. The same church is pictured on fire in other pictures but the text says things like "burning church" not "church set on fire by protesters". Yeah, think of your American History Texts -- how well does "injured slave" go over when everyone knows the text should accurately read "slave beaten by white slave owner". We don't get away with it in our own history (nor should we) so why are we cleaning it up for others?
The threatening signs I have seen in other pictures don't start to show up until well past the halfway mark of the slide show. What gives?
Is our media really so afraid to show the truth? And what can we do about it?

BUT, I have seen things in the past few weeks that have made me really sit back and question just were the line of fanaticism in Islam is. I don't want these stories quieted down now. I want the whole truth about the response, complete with violence and threats of greater violence out there for all to see.
I think I am very symptomatic of what is happening with western peoples. (I have long stand claim to being the 99th monkey! lol).

It's my understanding that an embassy is the sovereign land of the government representing it. In this case, the US government. And to invade that property could be considered an act of war. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the carton kerfuffle is the biggest bestest gift the Moslem world could have ever given us. We here know the depths of its evil, but most of the civilized world has, up to now, been nearly clueless. Regardless of what the "leaders" say and do, including our very own Dear Leader (a.k.a., Bush), many of the average people, the Western street if you will, have probably formed a very harsh opinion of their Moslem co-citizens. And that opinion will only harden as the level of Moslem shrillness and vitriol increases.
We are near the tipping point (or maybe even past it); the point beyond which the civilized world will have made a judgment. And the result will mass expulsion of Moslems from the West (and maybe even India). Perhaps also the Chinese will consider leaving Malaysia, since they also suffer incredible humiliation.
We are in the end of the beginning of the Clash of Civilizations, the phase when the victim realizes that an attack is going on. The bloody next phase is about to start, so sit back, grab a big bag of Orville Redenbackers, and enjoy the show.
I think the crowd could guess thier fate if they had pushed into the embassy. I would doubt they really ever wanted to gain entry. This was just another example of playing to the press. I have been on several peace keeping operations (they are not peaceful) and crowds love cameras. The muslim world has to work up the masses to control them. If they ever started to question their leaders about why they all seem to live a jet set lifestyle why the poor do without, things would get ugly at home. Watch an arab here in the states, they drink, watch porn, gamble, chase women etc. They only follow thier religion when someone they don't trust is watching. I asked one about eating during the day during ramadan and was told "it is dark in the shade, I can eat". I think islam has a great deal going for itself, lots of rules and you can pick the ones you want to follow. It would be great if I could pick 6 of the 10 commandments to follow and every once in a while switch them out. They want a caliphate, give them one all the sects will fight to control the ulmah and we can set back and laugh.

I strongly object to non-Muslims calling him "the prophet Muhammad".Only dhimmis do that. Last year he was simply called "Muhammad" and their Koran was not called the "holy Koran". We always hear (at least I do at university) that SE Asia is the hope for Islam because it is peaceful, progressive, and moderate. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. It seems that while SE Asian Muslims may not resort to the levels of violence as their Arab counterparts, or at least their governments won't bankroll terrorism, they are still complicit in the global jihad by harboring the same violent impulses.
Sort of off the subject, but I recently had the opportunity to talk with an ethnic Chinese who grew up in Malaysia. Chilling vantage point onto modern dhimmitude. Malaysia officially recognizes three cultures: Muslim Malay, Hindu Indian, and Bhuddist Chinese. As any businessman knows, the Chinese and Indians are the workhorses of the Malaysian economy, while the Malays are supported by the most radical affirmative action program in the world. Malays get preferential treatment for jobs, schools, churches, etc. Basically, the Chinese and Indians are the morlocks to the Malays' eloi. As was the case centuries ago with the Janissaries in the Ottoman Empire. And the Jewish bankers in medieval Christendom.
So even if Islam calms down and can function in a modern framework, it will still treat all others as second-class citizens, while extracting an economic product from them.
No matter how you cut it -moderate or extreme -Islam must be resisted. Freedom is at stake.
