Norway, Denmark withdraw aid workers from Muslim countries

It is time to let the islamic countries take care of their problems themselves. They hate us and no amount of kindness can change their opinion that we are infidels.

I understand the move and support it. Once again, the ones in greater need and the innocent end up paying the bills of the tyran islamists...

I mean, leftists and islamists do seem to hate Christians. After all, is there really that much of a difference between the far left and the far right.

The American field hospital in Pakistan that was sent for earthquake victims is now treating everyone. Why? Why is it still there? Why do we get constantly sucked into these things? There is plenty of need elsewhere, the need of those who do not wish the United States and its citizens ill. Come to think of it, many of those people needing the kind of help that continues to be given, in the endless waterfall of tens of billions of dollars of Jizyah cascading over the unyielding rocks of stony Islam, are right here -- in these United States.

The Western world has made a fetish of foreign aid. As the economist Peter Bauer demonstrated, most of that aid is not only put to good use, but is positively disrupting. But just as there is that famous military-industrial complex to worry about, there is a careerist complex to worry about. How many children of our ruling classes love to pad their resumes, and feel so virtuous themselves, after six weeks at some Battered Women's Clinic here, and possibly a month or two looking in on Darfur, fitted in during the second part of the summer vacation, and then there is earthquake relief, and then...

Meanwhile, let's toss aside Free Speech, artistic freedom, the whole bit. Who needs it?

Between the Scylla of Access Hollywood, and the Charybdis of Do-Gooding (from the millionaire Bono to Angelina Jolie, dispensing her wisdom in mediagenic appearances of the Goddess, grey-eyed Pallas Athena), to all those jeunessse-doreed children showing Compassion and Commitment, it's getting to be a bit much.

A little less solving of every damn problem everywhere, by the American rulers, would be nice. Or rather, what would really be nice, and what we could all suppoort, is to have, say, Bill Clinton, of the modestly-titled Clinton Global Initiativee, but ten or twenty million of his own ill-gotten gains into this stuff, instead of enjoying all the jetting about, all the perquisites of fake compassion, but done always, always on someone else's dime -- usually yours, and mine.

Let him pay. Let Jimmy Carter pay, rather than vaingloriously play the Albert Schweitzer of Plains, Ga. Let the billionaire and millionaire rock stars not "raise" money with these Live Aid things -- let them just take out a small fraction of what they possess, and hand it over.

The posturing, the hypocrisy, the careeriset phoniness of it all, is beginning to infuriate.

As for that Jizyah -- wherever it is -- stop it. No further transfer of Infidel money or knowhow or anything else to people whose belief-system makes them a danger not merely to well-off and well-meaning Westerners, but to sub-Saharan Christians, to Bolivian Indians, to the Buddhist villagers in southern Thailand and the Hindu villagers in Bali and Kashmir.

Stop the manic desire to give most of the world An Instant Makeover.

And stop the Jizyah.

I have to agree with you. There are MANY MANY places where the good-hearted and charitable can go to help - where people have been victimized by the jihadists - Southern Sudan, Timor, Sulawesi, etc..

Over recenct years Europe and the United States have infused trillions of dollars, and continue to infuse hundreds of billions of dollars, into the islamic world through high-priced oil revenues. What is being done with that money? Where is the muslim precept to give alms? - The Saudis finance radical mosques worldwide and staff them with jihadists. Another major oil producer, Iran, uses the money to build nuclear bombs, while it currently finances terrorists.

I hope thase good-hearted souls, who are leaving the muslim lands, continue their good work in non-muslim countries where they will be apreciated, and safe.

Sorry to see it come to this, but all Western nations should do the same. The next time third world Muslim nations are hit by tsunamis, earthquakes or other natural disasters we should sit back and watch. The West has done more for them than all the Muslim nations combined and this is how we are repaid.

It's a shame for all those pitiable souls who are desperate after the tsunami and the earthquake and are truly welcoming of the aid. Remember these poor people are also receiving aid from truly generous people. People regardless of religion who actually care about other human beings. The withdrawal of this aid lies absolutely with the hands of the wicked and evil manipulators, the hate mongers roused and employed by and including the real stars of the whole cartoon show…….the imams of Denmark.

When the bitterness is directed it is these "holy" hypocrites who should take a bow.

If I was President I'd order a similar withdrawal of all American aid-workers, too.

I don't see anything tragic about withdrawing aid from these Islamicized countries. The greatest tragedy here is that the western democracies hadn't done it sooner.

I think Western nations are bending over backwards to show our empathy and sympathy toward the slaves of the backward cult of islam. At the same time, the jihadi's offer the same aid and pocket the funds meant for victims of islam from Western nations. All the foreign aid given to muslim countries (and most others) has been squandered.

The only small benefit to us in the USA accrues through the usual requirement that the intended aid must be used to purchase goods from American companies, through the Agency for International Development or some similar State Department account. At least that recycles some of the aid dollars.

Of course, we would probably derive equal or greater benefit if the government would simply buy the products and then set them on fire, or throw them in a landfill. That way we would not be helping the foreign politicians and administrators line their pockets and purchase local loyalty.

And they don't even have the decency to support us in the United Nations.

The aid recipients are like welfare recipients: They resent what they are given, demand more, and try to destroy what they can't have. And if they're muslim, they're even worse.

Hurray for the Norwegians and Danes who have the balls to blow the whistle and end this pointless game of "Gimmie".

So, who will pick up the slack when the aid workers from Norway and Denmark leave for fear of their lives (and heads)? I have a novel idea. The Red Crescent can organize aid groups from newly-retired couples in Kuwait and Qatar and university student from Saudi Arabia looking for summer internships. Let them leave their air-conditioned mansions and help their fellow Muslims in Somalia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and elsewhere in the "Islamic world." I'll bet that the number of volunteers would overwhelm the system. Then, the West could concentrate on such projects as trying to resettle the four million Christian and animist southern Sudanese who are the survivors of the Islamic regime in Khartoum.

The people rioting in the streets and calling for blood and retribution over the cartoons of the so-called Prophet Muhammed are not apostates. They are not schismatics hijacking a great religion of peace. They are not revisionists, twisting a message of peace into a pretext for war. They appear to be true Muslims. At least, that is the consensus of the Muslim world, and who am I to disagree?

The rioters propose to murder, behead, or disembowel those who have mocked their so-called Prophet; and nothing that they propose to do appears to be forbidden by their so-called Holy Book, the Koran. On the contrary, the Koran commands them to murder the Infidels and commands them to wage endless and merciless warfare against the Infidels until all Infidels are either killed, converted, or brought under submission.

It is all written in the Koran, for all to read. It is written in plain language that is understandable to Muslim and Infidel alike.

And nothing that the rioters are doing in the name of Muhammed appears to be contradicted by the character of Muhammed, himself. According to the Koran, he waged merciless and endless warfare against the so-called Infidels during his lifetime. He slaughtered entire tribes, confiscated their property, distributed the booty among his followers, took the women and children as hostages, treated the women as sex slaves, and made the rivers run red with blood. He raped women while the still-warm bodies of their slain husbands lay yet unburied. He had sex with children as young as nine years old. He made no distinction between combatants and non-combatants, but only between Muslim and Infidel. He signed no peace treaties, other than those temporary arrangements under which the Infidel tribes agreed to accept the second-class status of dhimmis and under which they agreed to pay the humiliating jizya tax. And even then, he reserved the right to abrogate the agreement upon a moment’s notice.

While I would never draw cartoons or caricatures of this person, I could never honor him; nor could I ever call him a holy man of God. My holy book counsels that “ye shall know them by their fruits;” and the fruits of Muhammed are bitter to the taste. What is needed most desperately at this point in history is not agreement, but some fundamental understanding that we all have the right to disagree. To go our separate ways without apology, without the payment of any jizya tax, without coercion, conversion, persecution, or threat of violence.

Unfortunately, it appears that such an agreement is impossible for true followers of the Muslim faith. After all, the rioters say they are true followers of the Muslim faith and, while some analysts have suggested that the rioters may be far from the mainstream of the Muslim faith, I have yet to see any other Muslim leader step forward to positively identify them as apostates; and so I take them at their word. These are the true representatives of the Muslim faith; and this is what we have to deal with.

Up until this point, our thinking has been clouded by naivete and wishful thinking, and we have been conducting an imaginary dialogue with some nonexistent Moderate Mainstream of the Muslim faith. Perhaps now we can look at the Muslim world with greater clarity, and deal with what is really there.

I was a bit disgusted by Bush Sr. going to Pakistan--twice--to surey the earthquake damage, and not just because of my views vis-a-vis Islam. What about our own pour and those who need health coverage ect . . . seems to me we need to help our own before we give sweat and money to a people who truly and completely hate us . . . my Father has always pointed to the lack of Saudi aid in almost any relief mission . . . Muslim or non-Muslim. The issue with Hamastan comes to mind. We don't want Iran or Saudi to be the sugar daddies to Hamas because a. they'll become more radical or b. it will inhibit the 'peace process.' As Hugh has pointed out, foreign aid should be dependent on a societies acceptance and respect for us as Americans. Not that Japan needs our aid, but they once relied on it completely . . . and today our culture is almost worshiped over there(1950's cars, M. Monroe et al). This is the perfect time not to punish the Palestinians--I don't want anyone to starve, but let the Arabs vill the oid . . . not only to Hamas, but to Egypt, Jordan and Pakistan. The issue of 'you had better help us or . . .' is a tired arguement . . . used by the Pakistans or Palestinians ect . . . as if to say, 'you can work with us, but if you let us die, watch out for who you might get to replace us.' Let the Palestinians bask in their Islamic state. Let a million shaheeds bloom . . . they will anyway, so let us stop with 'aid.'

I am from India orginally and we have suffered a lot because of Islamic terrorism for last 3 decades. Its good that the west is waking up to these fanatics. I live in west and value the culture traditions and values here. I truly think that west is a true secular democracy which these muslims can never witness in their own countries. If they dont like western values, freedom of speech, I dont think so that any western went to invite them to come to their country. They came by choice and can leave by choice.

You might learn to be tolerant. If god wanted us to pray for him 5 times a day, why did he do the effort of sending us on earth, he should have preserved us there to pray 5 times a day.

Of course, if anything proves how ephemeral such supposed inroads and gains have been to "win the hearts and minds of Muslims", one only need look at amplified calls from Pakistanis, Indonesians, and many others for "Death to America" and "Death to England", and this, despite the fact that our media have largely refrained from publishing these ludicrous pretext-for-Islamic-Jihad cartoons...

Islamic Jihad only "self-defeats" if the collective Muslim population is forced to understand how it will suffers under the strategy of Islamic Jihad. But most Muslims appear to either completely support Islamic Jihad (witness all the polls, both Muslim and "infidel" which support this thesis) or tacitly support its objectives...

I have yet to see any large scale demonstrations (or even small ones!) among the populations of Muslims, neither in the West, nor in Muslim domains, who are willing to rail against the Islamic Jihad, its tenets, or its goals of world domination. In addition, I have not seen Muslim protesting or rioting because of the defamation most "moderates" maintain such acts of Jihad cause to the image of Islam and her miscreant
"prophet". It just doesn't happen.

So "self-defeating"? I think not... Islamic Jihad has been a major plank of Islam since Islam's inception... Why? Not because it is "self defeating", but because it is a tactic that WORKS!

Like one of those bizarre deep sea mollusks, who squirt a neurotoxin at a fish, shocking it into paralysis, then distending their belly to encompass, imbibe, and then digest a fish live -- Islam, a far more primitive but effective eating machine uses Islamic Jihad to shock us into submissive paralysis -- stun us with their myriad ploys -- envelop us, and then eat us alive...

Will we awaken before they have us half eaten? So far, the signs aren't very good... We still slumber, we are still paralyzed, still straining to believe, despite mounting evidence, that there is a "good" Islam, and a "bad" Islam, and that it's somehow our job to sort it out.... Meanwhile, the one Islam, that of the umma, is eating us alive...

One ponders the question: Of all the professed religions of the world... WHY has Islam become the chief and sole obsession of so many Americans? Is it purely because of the events of September 11, or are there other reasons? What motivates so many people that are not Muslim to spend countless hours researching Islam if they want nothing to do with it?

Be sure, this is a dedicated, well-orchestrated, totally planned campaign being waged to disuade as many people as possible from their chosen religion (funny, they are not interested in converting the atheists, wiccans or satanists), and turn back as many Muslims as they can from their religion. If this were not so, you would be able to engage in intelligent dialogue with these people and discuss and compare religion respectfully without trading insults.

The tendency to apply today's standards to acts that occurred more than 1,400 years ago is also suspect, given the fact that Muslims are accused of living in the past and following a religion that is archaic and obsolete. The bible, revered by millions as irrefutable truth from God, is never put under similar scrutiny.

For example, Prophet Lot is reported to have slept with his two daughters after the destruction of Sodom and Gomorah at their urging, fearing that the world needed to be repopulated and they were the only survivors as seen in these direct quotes from the bible, NIV:

30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father."

33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I lay with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went and lay with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

Should we question the morals of Prophet Lot and his daughters for engaging in this obvious act of incest?

Still more distressing passages of immorality can be found in Genesis 38:13-18. I challenge anyone anywhere to find a single passage that says Muhammad slept with his daughters, committed adultery, or fornicated even once outside of marriage:

13 When Tamar was told, "Your father-in-law is on his way to Timnah to shear his sheep," 14 she took off her widow's clothes, covered herself with a veil to disguise herself, and then sat down at the entrance to Enaim, which is on the road to Timnah. For she saw that, though Shelah had now grown up, she had not been given to him as his wife.

15 When Judah saw her, he thought she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face. 16 Not realizing that she was his daughter-in-law, he went over to her by the roadside and said, "Come now, let me sleep with you." "And what will you give me to sleep with you?" she asked.

17 "I'll send you a young goat from my flock," he said. "Will you give me something as a pledge until you send it?" she asked.

18 He said, "What pledge should I give you?"
"Your seal and its cord, and the staff in your hand," she answered. So he gave them to her and slept with her, and she became pregnant by him. 19 After she left, she took off her veil and put on her widow's clothes again.

And in the following passages, David lies with Bathshebah, a black hittite woman, the wife of Uriah, plots for him to be killed in battle, and earns the wrath of God. Notice that the prophets of the bible did not shy away from killing and warfare. Also notice that in 2 Samuel 11:4, Bathshebah lay with David after ritually "purifying" herself from "uncleanness". Why was she considered "unclean"?:

10 When David was told, "Uriah did not go home," he asked him, "Haven't you just come from a distance? Why didn't you go home?"

11 Uriah said to David, "The ark and Israel and Judah are staying in tents, and my master Joab and my lord's men are camped in the open fields. How could I go to my house to eat and drink and lie with my wife? As surely as you live, I will not do such a thing!"

12 Then David said to him, "Stay here one more day, and tomorrow I will send you back." So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the next. 13 At David's invitation, he ate and drank with him, and David made him drunk. But in the evening Uriah went out to sleep on his mat among his master's servants; he did not go home.

14 In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. 15 In it he wrote, "Put Uriah in the front line where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die."

16 So while Joab had the city under siege, he put Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were. 17 When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of the men in David's army fell; moreover, Uriah the Hittite died.

18 Joab sent David a full account of the battle. 19 He instructed the messenger: "When you have finished giving the king this account of the battle, 20 the king's anger may flare up, and he may ask you, 'Why did you get so close to the city to fight? Didn't you know they would shoot arrows from the wall? 21 Who killed Abimelech son of Jerub-Besheth [b] ? Didn't a woman throw an upper millstone on him from the wall, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you get so close to the wall?' If he asks you this, then say to him, 'Also, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead.' "

22 The messenger set out, and when he arrived he told David everything Joab had sent him to say. 23 The messenger said to David, "The men overpowered us and came out against us in the open, but we drove them back to the entrance to the city gate. 24 Then the archers shot arrows at your servants from the wall, and some of the king's men died. Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead."

25 David told the messenger, "Say this to Joab: 'Don't let this upset you; the sword devours one as well as another. Press the attack against the city and destroy it.' Say this to encourage Joab."

26 When Uriah's wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him. 27 After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the LORD.

Should the bible as a result be viewed as a manual of incest and debauchery because of these passages? What do these passages tell us about the lowly status of women during these times?

And what sense shall we make of the following biblical passages about the sons of Prophet Noah? It has been a long-standing dispute that these passages infer that the black-skinned peoples of Africa are the descendents of Ham, the Canaanites, cursed by Noah to be the eternal "slaves" of their brothers (see Genesis 9:24-27). If this is not true, why haven't these passages been stricken from the bible, as they would have Muslims strike offensive passages from the qur'an? Note also that Noah is reported to have lived 950 YEARS, when the average life expectancy of a human today is about 75 years. I don't hear anyone challenging the validity of this claim.

The Sons of Noah (NIV) Genesis 9:18-28

18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the earth.

20 Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded [a] to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness.

24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,
"Cursed be Canaan!
The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers."

26 He also said,
"Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem. [b]

27 May God extend the territory of Japheth [c] ;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be his [d] slave."

28 After the flood Noah lived 350 years. 29 Altogether, Noah lived 950 years, and then he died.

My beloveds, I give these few passages to you as an example of the deception, dishonesty, and twisted purpose of those who attack you here, who spend all of their energies and exhaust their knowledge and resources attacking Muslims and what we believe, without looking at what they claim to believe themselves.
