Poll reveals 40pc of Muslims want sharia law in UK

From the Telegraph:

Four out of 10 British Muslims want sharia law introduced into parts of the country, a survey reveals today.

The ICM opinion poll also indicates that a fifth have sympathy with the "feelings and motives" of the suicide bombers who attacked London last July 7, killing 52 people, although 99 per cent thought the bombers were wrong to carry out the atrocity.

Overall, the findings depict a Muslim community becoming more radical and feeling more alienated from mainstream society, even though 91 per cent still say they feel loyal to Britain...

Last night, Sadiq Khan, the Labour MP involved with the official task force set up after the July attacks, said the findings were "alarming". He added: "Vast numbers of Muslims feel disengaged and alienated from mainstream British society." Sir Iqbal Sacranie, the secretary general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: "This poll confirms the widespread opposition among British Muslims to the so-called war on terror."...

Forty per cent of the British Muslims surveyed said they backed introducing sharia in parts of Britain, while 41 per cent opposed it. Twenty per cent felt sympathy with the July 7 bombers' motives, and 75 per cent did not. One per cent felt the attacks were "right"...

BLOGGING BLAIR

Do we need a fresh new wind behind the British sail?

There is an incalculable threat posed by a rising Islam, which cuts across all of our pre-established ideas on social structure, racism is useless here, as this thing does have a colour on which to identify it, what it does have is a common belief, loyalty to itself and to its heartland in Mecca. Appeasement to it means – that it can more easily surmount one more obstacle, towards the establishment or formation an Islamic State in either all or in parts of the United Kingdom. We have reached the crossroads of keeping this European land under European control or handing it over piece by piece to the Arabs to be ruled under Shar’ia law.

We need a leader with some balls. Someone who will be prepared to offend – the cropped haired female Guardian reader, the segment of society that looks for a ‘cause’ to fix – who doesn’t see that if the Muslims are successful in their bid for power – freeing Britain will be the ‘new cause’. Our new leader must be prepared to offend even the delicate sensibilities of the Muslims – and God knows how sensitive they are! Because what we are proposing will mean undermining their very beliefs.

In the new government there must be some acknowledgement of the Arab, funding and control over the world’s Mosques, and of the message which encourages Muslim citizens of host countries, to place their loyalties not to those countries which host these citizens, but instead towards the shores of the Gulf where Mecca lay.

Is this a strategic and calculated move – to take power or to f**k the west through the back door? For that to be - then we can see how this plan, wish or desire has been blessed in two ways, the rise in power of the Arab ‘proper’ States through the oil wealth [otherwise we simply would not be having this conversation] and the extreme poverty and social upheaval in the Arab ‘lesser’ countries – which leaves its starving and bullet ridden citizens clamoring - en masse - for Europe's shores.

Europe has made the mistake of thinking that because it was given attention – that it was love. Has found that these people are not loyal – and more dangerously each of these new citizens has been fitted with an unthinking and unquestioning adherence to a religion – controlled by a group of Arabs. As this 'Arab Oz' tries to promote itself on par with the truth and a footstep away from God himself, it actively discourages its citizen believers from placing their loyalties in any place other than towards its direction.

With hat in hand and with back bowed our leaders continue to do deals with the Arabs for their oil – even though there is no other money on earth – funding this terrorist war being waged against our cities and our way of life. We need a new leader who can understand that the real price of oil – the ultimate establishment of Islamic rule in our lands – is too much to ask us to pay.

What other group, race or organization can get up on TV and inform the general public that by disobeying their rules, that an attack on the public will then be meted out? If the little brother is making a lot of noise in the play ground and no one goes over to bop him one, then there is either one or more big brothers that would view this action as unfavourable.

It is not for me to rip the curtain veil down from in front of the cycling Arab Oz – but we need a leader who will actively break some of the Arab control over the Muslim people and their Mosques in this European land. A leader prepared to take on the controversial job of controlling Islamic immigration – to ensure that the country remains in European hands and is not handed over to Arab rule, under some sort of Caliphate. To encourage other European countries to do the same; to plug the holes of the open borders, if the immigrant gains entry to one, he will have access to them all.

The Islamic immigrant is like the pawn – which has limited moves – but is made strong by its shear numbers. We are being played, for the control of our countries and so a counter strategy must be formulated. We should openly analyze to word ‘peace’ as it is used by Muslims. To purposely ignore that the Koranic ‘Peace’ is that which is to be achieved through the successful conquering of the non-Islamic world – is to allow the public to be deceived or the reverse to appease Islam. Open acknowledgement that our idea of peace and their (especially the moderates) idea of peace, are from two different sources and are incompatible. We need to find a way of injecting truth into this game – perhaps in the form of open debates – where ideas are no longer kept locked up – in respect of (beliefs which are in direct competition with our own).

This is not going to be comfortable. Expect opposition. But the state of the country - has to be seen in a gardening context - where the trimming of a bush, which is growing out of control and if left will take over the entire garden - should be viewed as necessary and advisable exercise. The civil liberties and the way of life of the country must be placed over, those of Islam who have put their loyalties in a foreign power.

This is going to be a tough job, so we need a leader who will not waiver, as we are all facing the loss of our liberties, at the gentle stroke of a cat’s paw on one hand and the full and merciless nature of the tiger's jaws on the other. The moderates and the radicals of Islam have one and the same aim and that is to establish Islamic rule in Britain – but are disputing among themselves on how best to get there.

If Tony Blair is going to duck and bow at every turn on this issue – then we have to work to take the country out of his and his government's hands in the next election.

There are between 1.5 and 2.0 million Muslims living in Great Britain.

One percent of them felt that the 7/7 bombings were 'just right'.

Folks, that means between 15000 and 20000 British citizens/residents believe that action was acceptable behavior.

One can infer that they would believe it of the next one, too.

Yes, MP Khan and Sir Sacraine have their work cut out for them, don't they.

Don't they?

This understates the reality. For the real division is between those who actually answered as they feel, and those who are sufficiently aware of the situation, and the need to practice taqiyya, to answer untruthfully. So the figure of 40% for those who support the imposition of Shari'a, with all that that implies for Infidels (under Shari'a law, Infidels become dhimmis, that is are reduced to a state of permanent humiliation, degradation, and physical insecurity), must represent some, but by no means all, of those who really support, or would if they thought it might actually be achieved.

The same is true for those who said they support terrorism. How many would assume that the anonymity they are supposedly guaranteed in answering these questions was a false one, and that the poll-takers worked for the government? After all, the experience of Muslims, in their own countries, in the Middle East or in Pakistan, makes thenm deeply and rightly suspicious of how governments behave. Furthermore, they inhabit a mental world in which free and skeptical inquiry is discouraged, and all sorts of conspiracy theories are readily accepted. In such an atmosphere, of course many of them will never admit to a polltaker, any polltaker, no matter how many assurances they have that this will be an "anonymous" poll, that they do not wish the Infidel nation-state that they inhabit well, that they do not wish Infidel laws, customs, manners well.

That is why this poll is almost certain to have wildly understated the support for terrorism, and for the imposition of Shari'a. As for that figure of 80% expressing "loyalty" to Great Britain -- that surely is a false figure. HOw can those who are raised up to be loyal only to Islam and to the cause of Islam and to fellow members of the Community of Islam, conceivably offer real, not unfeigned, and permanent, not temporary, "loyalty" to an Infidel nation-state?

It simply can't be. Either the question was worded in a way that permitted an ambiguous interpretation. Perhaps the "loyalty" is not to the customs, manners, laws -- for how can at least 40% wish for the imposition of Shari'a, and yet 80% be on record as declaring their "loyalty" to an Infidel nation-state that stands in the way of the Shari'a?

A poll that should scare Infidels out of their wits. But if the real figures were to be known, those Infidels would be even more scared. And should be.

This poll is stunning and should be used--repeatedly and vehemently--to repel any claims about "tiny minorities of extremists" (as recently done by Rumsfeld).

Even more, I advocate many more such polls around the West. And ask more specific questions too: "do you believe women are men's equals?" "do you believe homosexuals should be killed?" "do you believe a Muslim has the right to leave Islam without any threat or punishment?"

I believe the answers may well shock many who are oblivious--and who desperately want to stay that way--out of their cocoon, and in an unbiased way.

Just to make this more obvious, some more work is needed. Take the same loyalty poll amongst other non-white-Anglican minorities, like Black Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs,... and see what one finds. And then ask the same questions.

As an example, some time ago, I read that these days, second generation Indian-born Brits are already passing Norman Tebbit's "cricket test" (the test of whether the people involved support England or their country of origin in cricket matches). Wonder how many Pakistanis would do the same.

Well, just give them what they want.
Off they go to a country with Islamic Law.
They can enjoy the beauties of Shariah.

Definitely!
Surely Islamic people must be wary of these polls by now. This should make them extremely cautious about sharing their views with people outside of the group – who then use them to splatter all over the TV screens.

There was a poll quoted on Fox News which stated that 66% of British Muslims wanted to live under Shar’ia law. The real figure is probably somewhere in between this and the 41% quoted in the latest figures.
_________

"... the real division is between those who actually answered as they feel, and those who ... answer[ed] untruthfully."

In any case, 19% either went down as "refused to answer" or "don't know".

So a considerable percentage of those who didn't actually state that they wanted sharia law either weren't sufficiently repelled by the prospect as to know for sure that they *didn't* want it - or were not prepared to say what they wanted.

Only some 41% actually said they didn't want sharia law in the UK. Let's imagine for a moment that none of them lied. That is still an appalling figure.

I think anything in double figures for the converse (either wanted sharia or "didn't know/wouldn't say") would be worrying. So let's make no bones about it, 59% *not* expressing confidence in and loyalty to the legal system is very worrying indeed.

As historians, sociologists, and political scientists will know, it's hardly an exaggeration to say that the emergence of the modern world owes much to the nature of the English Common law - see, for example, the articles here:

http://www.alanmacfarlane.com/contents_web.html

The Common Law is one of the greatest and most characteristic achievements of English civilization. It's truly shocking to think that large numbers of people living in the UK have no understanding of that achievement and would like to trash the patient work of centuries.

Dark days, indeed.

"do you believe a Muslim has the right to leave Islam without any threat or punishment?"
-- from a posting above

That is a good question. And there are others along with those offered above.

Should a Muslim owe his loyalty to the nation-state, and to his fellow citizens, even if that nation-state is at war with an Islamic movement or country?

Should a Muslim insist that Infidels learn about Islam only from what Muslims themselves choose to reveal or tell them, or should they be permitted to study the texts, and arrive at their own conclusions?

Should the treatment of non-Muslims under Muslim rule form an important part of any study of the history of Islamic civilization?

Should the banning on statuary and paintings of living thinks now be abandoned?

Should Muhammad as a figure be beyond criticism?

Should Islam be studied, as all other religions or belief-systems have been, as having developed within history? Should the early Qur'an be subject to the same kind of study as the Bible and Hebrew scriptures have been subject to, or is there to be a special rule exempting the Qur'an and the Qur'an alone?

The findings of this poll are very revealing indeed. 40% were upfront about wanting to live under Sharia and gave no airs or graces. As for that 19% of don't knows or won't says - a don't know or a won't say is a definite "Yes" to Sharia - meaning that at least 59% want Sharia imposed in Britain - on ALL Britons, regardless of whether they are Muslims or not. And as for that other 41% - I have grave doubts about their loyalty. I reckon at least half of them smelt a rat and lied out of expediency, and it will be a miracle if as many as 10% or 15% of Muslims really are loyal to Britain.

These polls do not show the real status, as Muslims LIE & CHEAT when asked direct questions. Its the norm ,so the real truth is that more and more Muslims would like sharia established in the UK. There is an Islamic teaching called taqiyya. Taqiyya means deception or concealing and disguising one’s beliefs and intentions to fool the adversary. According to Muhammad all forbidden things become permissible if they are to be used for the advancement of Islam. So Muslims can lie, steal, murder and rape with complete clear conscience because t hey are convinced of doing the right thing.
The majority of Muslims have no loyalty whatsoever to Britain, their loyalty is to Islam and the vile teachings of the prophet. We are only kidding ourselves by giving them honours and titles hoping that would make them more British. Its only wishful thinking.

40% of Muslims in Britain should be given free flights to Mecca for their seditious disloyalty.

A recent poll in France shows 74 % of those polled feel distant or very distant to muslims.

http://www.expression-publique.com/expression-publique/resultat.php?adresse=proximite

21 % feel close to muslims

To add to the list of questions to be asked should be the following, though this should be presented to the journalists at the Guardian, and other people of a similar mentality:

Would you say that letting people of a certain ideology into a country, of whom 20% sympathise with acts of terrorism in that country, while 1% (at the very least) positively agree with those acts, is from a security point of view:

a: A good idea
b: So so
c: Actually, not a very good idea at all

Pick one.

re Sebastien

"21% feel close to muslims"

Sounds suspiciously like France has a 21% Muslim population :(

Last night, Sadiq Khan, the Labour MP involved with the official task force set up after the July attacks, said the findings were "alarming". He added: "Vast numbers of Muslims feel disengaged and alienated from mainstream British society."

Note the clear implication that Britons are to blame for making the Mohammedans feel "alienated" and "disengaged." As though the problem were one of wounded feelings rather than the sticky issue of Mohammedan refusal to join the rest of us in the 21st century.

"Sir Iqbal Sacranie, the secretary general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: "This poll confirms the widespread opposition among British Muslims to the so-called war on terror."..."

No, Mr. Sacranie, the poll confirms that a sizeable number of Muslims living in Britain are incapable of assimilation and pose a threat to the well-being of British society.

Should Islam be studied, as all other religions or belief-systems have been, as having developed within history? Should the early Qur'an be subject to the same kind of study as the Bible and Hebrew scriptures have been subject to, or is there to be a special rule exempting the Qur'an and the Qur'an alone? -- from a posting above

Not really Hugh, as we all have a lot of other far more interesting things to do. The only reason this question has arisen is because of the presence of large numbers of muslims in our midst, who now pose an existential problem the like of which has never been posed before - not even in WWII.

"as we all have a lot of other far more interesting things to do."
-- from a posting above

God, I know. I know.

Overall, the findings depict a Muslim community becoming more radical

I think it's more a case of Muslims feeling more confident in being openly Islamic, i.e., radical. Ten years ago, did anybody really care about Muslims or wonder whether they were radical or moderate? We all knew Muslims and they were nothing too different. Lately, it's like Islam's just got more outspoken. They have the numbers, and our societies allow them way too much freedom to speak their bile. This puffs them up and gives even the shy ones confidence to appear their true "radical" (normal) selves.

So by wanting sharia in parts of Britain, they're basically asking for little caliphates to be carved out of the UK. Apartheid definitely. What non-Muslim would want to live in those sharialands? This is insane. Clearly, if they want Muslim laws, they should leave to a Muslim land. Oh, but no welfare (jizya) there, eh?

Note the clear implication that Britons are to blame for making the Mohammedans feel "alienated" and "disengaged."

Yes, it's always our fault. Here in Oz too. Last night there was a tv forum on the Cronulla riots. No accepting of responsibility by the Muslims in the audience. One of them saying the thugs responsible for Sydneysiders having enough and hitting back, were "disadvantaged". !! These "disadvantaged" thugs roll up in BMWs, in expensive designer clothes, gold chains around their necks, the latest mobile phones. It makes me sick how they cry victim all the time.

On lying:

I once talked to a Saudi about the importance of telling the truth. He responded: "Only a fool tells the truth!" Funny that!

This is a survey on Indonesian islamic intolerance from 2004, the Brit's results are terrifying as are the Indo ones.

All we can do its post and explain this information to all the people we can. Untill people know the cartoon madness is normal thinking for islam we wont get to the lobbying and legislation stage.

40 percent of Muslims prefer fascism... Hmmm... Looking on the bright side, at least it's a "tiny minority", huh?
