The "moderate" Sheikh Qaradawi is not satisfied with the apology from the Norwegian editors who printed the Muhammad cartoons. He wants Norway to adopt Islamic blasphemy laws. And this, of course, is a key part of the overall agenda of cartoon rage, and is what links it to the global jihad: the goal of the jihad is to institute Islamic law over the entire world. Cartoon rage is an opportunity for jihadists to compel dhimmi Western states to begin to adopt Islamic law in this particular. A translation by Secular Blasphemy of a report from TV2 Nettavisen (thanks to Fjordman):
- The Norwegian government must make a new law that prohibits people and the media from attacking religions, whether it be Islam, Christianity or Judaism.Qaradawi said that a prohibition is the only way he can accept the apology from the Norwegian side.
- It is important that Norway makes new rules.
- Al Qaradawi is very explicit that nobody must attack religion or the prophets, and that all media has to accept this, says the administrative manager for Al Qaradawi, Akram Kassab. to TV2 Nettavisen after the press conference.
What a clever weasel. While Moses and Jesus may be deemed sacrosanct in Qawadari's "blasphemy free" world, Jews and Christians remain fair game and targets for all sorts of denegrating allegations for failing to accept Mohammed as the ultimate recipient of God's word.
Will Norway comply with the requests?
"The Norwegian government must make a new law that prohibits people and the media from attacking religions, whether it be Islam, Christianity or Judaism."
Alexandria riots anyone? Anti-semitic cartoons in Palestinian media anyone? Egyptian TV series about the "Protocols of the elders of Zion"? Iranian cartoons about the Holocaust?
Don't insult my intelligence.
"Qaradawi said that a prohibition is the only way he can accept the apology from the Norwegian side."
Norway, it is your country. You should not apologise. Do not have to apologise to anyone. Least of all to this unelected self serving rent-a-gob represenative of fascist corruption serving as religion.
Do not even give him the courtesy of a reply.
This would be the perfect opportunity to legally challenge Islam's fake status as a religion.
Worldwide, less about 1.2 billion, the assumption is that religion is the worship of good. A cursory review of the Islamic scriptures by any court, even a court in Europe, would directly establish that Islam is the worship of evil. The Sunnah is particularly damning in this regard.
When will a critical step like this be taken? Will it ever be taken (cowardice)?
I'm must say I fear that the norwegians will give in to this...I am Danish, but am currently in Norway, and it's sickening to see how the norwegian government have crawled and begged for mercy in this case.
This moment a delegation of imams and norwegian vikars (ministers, don't quite know how it's spelled) are in the ME on a reconciliation trip - payed by the norwegian government.
The norwegians are to well diciplined to even protest against it.
So I think this will come in Norway.
For more on Norway, read the soon-to-be-published "While Europe Slept" by Bruce Bawer. Before Norway, Bawer lived in Amsterdam, and his first report on the baleful effects on local freedoms was an article on the Muslim activities in that city, which appeared in the now-defunct Partisan Review.
What would constitute an "attack" on Islam? Would reprinting, without comment, passages from the Qur'an, of the kind adduced by those pastors in the trial in Australia, constitute an attack? Would printing on T-shirts certain Hadith (properly ahadith) about Asma bint Marwan, the Khaybar Oasis, the Banu Qurayza, or Aisha, constitute an attack?
Would printing a T-shirt with the following:
"Islam is to dominate and not to be dominated"
with the text given its proper attribution, be considered an attack on Islam?
This needs to be discussed. Would the actual contents of the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira be subject to complete censorship, so that no Infidel could conceivably quote from them to another Infidel.
In other words, would Qaradawi's Marching Band in Norway be allowed to insist that "no religious text can be quoted by those who do not believe in those texts but are quoting them for other reasons" or something like that?
We know what Muslims will attempt to do.
But why would Infidels wish to hasten things along, quite so eagerly?
- The Norwegian government must make a new law that prohibits people and the media from attacking religions,
'Must'? What gall...but Islam is not selfish...it shares its gall. Qaradawi has got more than his share, so he shares us with us.
A west coast, USA, radio station is running sound bites for local muslims who are producing dvd's and literature about how wonderful the Prophet was/is. You know that they will avoid all that nasty stuff from Hadith, and only talk about what a good husband and religious leader he was. Some more gall...
But what if the religions disagree with one another?
Can one of them then say anything about or even against the other?
Or, if carried to its logical conclusion, wouldn't this require everyone to be silent about ALL relgious beliefs, for fear than anyone with a contradictory position would be offended by ANYTHING they said?
I am offended by everything Islam says. All I need to do is emmigrate to Norway, and say that: "As a Zen Buddhist, I find that what Muslims say about their faith is offensive. It just be silenced!" and the government MUST muzzle them.
If this kind of pandering legislation ever came into effect, the result will be the quietest country in Europe.
The song of birds is next.
Then the rustle of the wind through leaves.
Then the gurgle of water in mountain streams.
Then the crash of oceans waves on hissing sand.
Duh,
What station is that?
According to islam-online the law is passed already:
Norway Criminalizes Blasphemy
"Would the actual contents of the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira be subject to complete censorship, so that no Infidel could conceivably quote from them to another Infidel."
In the late 90s, Muslim-American groups tried to goad Congress into passing legislation making it a crime to quote from a Holy Book in the context of a political campaign. Of course the attempt failed. The necessary sociological groundwork hadn't yet been laid. Perhaps the next attempt in 5 or 10 years will be successful.
The intent is obvious: Muslims are aware of the intolerant content of their own scripture and they are determined to prevent such from entering into the public discourse.
Tinero
It's just propaganda. Don't believe the lying bastards.
Why should anyone in Europe listen to this SAVAGE, who praises suicide bombers and the slaughter of non-muslims. Its the fault of the UK government with the help of the sick Mayor of London, Livingston that this Savage Qaradawi has the gumption to speak in Europe.
