Federal Judge James Moody has set a new trial date for former University of South Florida professor Sami Al-Arian and one of his codefendants.The trial is scheduled to begin April 8. Al-Arian, 47, and three other men stood trial last year on charges relating to providing financial support to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Two of the men, Sameeh Hammoudeh and Ghassan Zayed Ballut, were acquitted on all of the counts in December. But the jury deadlocked on nine of the charges against Al-Arian and eight of the charges against codefendant Hatem Naji Fariz....
Though a trial date has been set, it's still possible the case may not make it to trial.

French police launched a wide-range investigation on Tuesday after a twenty-year-old Jewish man was kidnapped and murdered.
Jewish community security services have said they suspect the crime may have been motivated by anti-Semitism.
Ilan Halimi was found critically wounded, naked and hand-cuffed along a railway track in the suburb of Saint Genevieve des Bois, 30 kilometres south of Paris on Monday, three weeks after he was kidnapped by a gang in Paris.
The victim, who was burnt and cut on 80 percent of his body, died of his wounds as he was taken to hospital...."
Looks like gangs of Islamicists in France are kidnapping young people and holding them for ransom.

Question 1: If and when this case is retried, will the same government that is trying al-Arian for giving money to Palestinian Islamic Jihad be giving money to the Hamas run PA as part of the "peace process"?
Question 2: If al-Arian is accused of financing the killing of people in Israel, why isn't he being extradited to Israel for trial there?

Hey everyone... find the USS Liberty/Haters-of-Israel webpage, and email them... ask them why if Israel intended to sink the Liberty, they only sent 5 torpeodoes (only one of which made contact)... ask them why the eeeevil Joooooz didn't send 5 dozen torpeodoes, like anyone that REALLY intended to sink a ship would.
First email them and ask them if Israel intended to sink the Liberty... someone will always email back and say yes, and part of their MO is to tell you to ask your congressman to call for an investigation. Then when you ask them the above (ie. why only 5 torpedoes were fired) they don't even write back.
