Saudis join Egypt in support for Hamas

Of course, it was "ordinary Palestinians" who elected Hamas, but why should our friend and ally be expected to make such fine distinctions? From CNN, with thanks to Shinolite:

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (CNN) -- Saudi Arabia will continue supporting the Palestinian Authority despite the election of a government led by the Islamic militant group Hamas -- because it does not want to punish ordinary Palestinians, the kingdom's foreign minister said Wednesday.

He made the announcement after meeting U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who is on a tour of the Middle East. She is trying to persuade Arab nations to increase pressure on Hamas, which refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist.

But Saudi officials told Rice that the kingdom will continue funding the Palestinian Authority and will encourage Hamas to accept the principle of a two-state solution with Israel, said Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal.

I think the government of the United States gives too much lattitude to Saudi Arabia. Why aren't we boycotting oil import? We don't need their oil but they need us. The USA is one of their largest consumers. We have ample oil here in our own country. Why do we always have to play nice nice? America, get a backbone and hit them where it hurts, in the wallet.

It is not a problem. If you don't want our oil, then don't buy it and get out of iraq and go back to your country

That can be arranged. And while we are at it, we don't want your mosques either.

Nor, for that matter, your ugly bearded circumcized illiterate Mohammedan clerics teaching kids here that Israel doesn't exist, and worse.

Back to Rice - she forgot her burqha, unlike Laura Bush. Maybe had she worn it, both Egypt and Saudi Arabia would have agreed to her demands.

On a separate note, since the one of the main purposes of the Palestinians is to reclaim holy sites, move them to Mecca & Medina (over Saudi objections), and make that their state. Let them get all the Russian weapons, and Iranian cash, and then have them fight the Saudis if the latter dares try and reclaim the 2 places. Maybe a few suicide bombers let loose into the Saudi royal family, and they can all enjoy their raisins.

Our Good Friends the Saudis are being disingenuous. Saudi Arabia has been funding Hamas for years. Doesn't CNN know that?

Now is a good time to declare victory in Iraq and create Kurdistan in the north and annex oilfields. Pull back all troops to protect that small area. Let sunnis and shias slug it out as they are doing so well now.

Arab states have been punishing "Palestinian" Arabs for many decades, sing them as footballs and foot soldiers in the name of petrowealth and jihad. For PR purposes they will send a bit of money to the PA, but they'll send a lot more to "charities" to fund jihad.

Saudi can donate money to their friends the PA aka Hammas! Hammas are so frenzied with hate, they cannot see they are being killed off faster by their own kind! l agree with a poster above,, give more to the Kurds, and let the rest of iraq fight over their spoils! The American military can stand back a while, and let muslim islamofacists kill off themselves. they are doing a better job themselves!!

I've just finished Timmerman's latest book. He stresses the Arab tribal mentality as reflected in the saying--"I and my brother against my cousing; I and my cousin against my neighbor; I and my neighbor against the world."

If our elected officials understood more about local culture and jihad mentality they would not be cought so flat-footed all the time.

By the way, is anyone experiencing problems with this web-site? When I click on the hyper-link to read the whole story the Jihad Watch site closes. Is it the site or my computer?

Hi il toscano, mine works alright. It could be a bug in your computer.

Well we all remember 'Slick Willy' when Bill Clinton was in office. Of course he was lubricating a lot of things (clear throat) but the Saudis are the slickest and the greasiest and the most deviant form and as long as you have George and George W. running the US, they are not going to let their buddies down, so don't expect any finger wagging from their index finger at this cozying up of the Hammas in their bed, because they have very wide beds, and there's room for everyone but let's not forget The Godfather Part 1, because even silk sheets can become slick.

Does anyone find the heading ironic?
Exactly what kind of support is Egypt giving Hamas? Money? What money do they have?

Wouldn't it be OUR money?

STOP THE JIZYA TO EGYPT!!!!!!

Stop the US money going to Egypt. $2 billion a year and we are not getting squat.

And stop it for any other country that chooses this same path.

It is unfortunate that these nimrods don't know there asses from a hole in the ground.
