What the *#¤% is this guy talking about?? We hardly have any skinheads here in Denmark and the vast majority of the peopel who are sceptical about immigration do NOT use violence against foreigners nor are they racists in the true sense of the word. Islam isn't a race, it's a religion with followers all over the world. We have many foreigners here who are fully accepted, even by the peopel who vote for the anti-immigration party The Danish Peopels Party. Asians, Africans, Latin Americans and other peopel with dark skin have a good time here in Denmark. Of course they can also have problems with integration but hey, that doesn't necessarily have to have anything to do racism. Coming to live here is a big culture chock for many of them.

I was driving home from work yesterday when I was passed by a large white truck. The door on the back of the truck was dirty. Normally something like "Wash Me" will be scrolled into the filth. But this truck had a huge smiley face drawn into the dirt encrusted panel. Above the smiley face was the word "Jesus" in lagre bold letters. I thought to myself 'Is that really a picture of Jesus or is it just a smiley face'. I was conflicted and the more I looked at the truck door with this blasphemous pictorial the more my bowels got into a uproar. Then I went home.
Doesn’t sound to me as if this Law Professor has actually read the law. True, I haven’t read Danish law myself but I’d bet a box of donuts it doesn’t address the issue of limited free speech when it is found offensive to anyone of muslim faith. Also, I am tired of muslim demands so I thought I should list mine. I don’t really expect anyone to follow them or even care what they are but in support of islam I have these demands:

-Lastly, I demand free Danish beer for life for myself and all loyal readers and supporters of J/W and D/W, realizing some of you do not drink for religious or personal reasons, I demand that you be allowed to swap the beer for chocolate.
That’s it, I only have a short list, I might turn it into a full-fledged “Infidel” tax later. It will be a requirement for a visa. BTW, I might run for office to make it law.
Judicial investigation of Jyllands-Posten
27 October 2005, a number of Muslim organizations filed a complaint with the Danish police claiming that Jyllands-Posten had committed an offence under section 140 and 266b of the Danish Criminal Code. [15]
Section 140 of the Criminal Code prohibits disturbing public order by publicly ridiculing or insulting the dogmas of worship of any lawfully existing religious community in Denmark. Section 266b criminalises insult, threat or degradation of natural persons, by publicly and with ill intent attacking their race, color of skin, national or ethnical roots, or sexual orientation. Danish police began their investigation of these complaints on 27 October 2005. [15]
On 6 January 2006, the Regional Public Prosecutor in Viborg discontinued the investigation as he found no basis for concluding that the cartoons constituted a criminal offence. He stated that, in assessing what constitutes an offence, the right to freedom of speech must be taken into consideration. That while the right to freedom of speech must be exercised with the necessary respect for other human rights, including the right to protection against discrimination, insult and degradation, no apparent violation of the law had occurred. [15]
If this makes sense in one country, it makes sense in all countries. So Freamon, a professor of law, presumably supports similar infringements on the First Amendment rights which form the essential basis of the legal (and political) institutions of this country.
Perhaps he teaches Corporations. Or "Islamic Law" (i.e. the Shari'a, which is really theology, not law in the Western sense at all -- but did his unwary colleagues know that when they hired him? Do any of those unwary colleagues understand anything about Islam when they get the bright idea "say, let's hire a Muslim" and "yes, what better way to have our students learn about this hot topic" and similar ill-informed and dangerous nonsense. Look at the misinformation being conveyed by Khaled Abu El Fadl (thank god Harold Koh and Company didn't fall for it, but he's still ensconced in California, isn't he?). A little research into Islam, please, by all you law professors attending the AALS meetings down in Washington next November, please. Look carefully at those resumes. Contrary to what some may think, you don't need, and you don't want, an apologist for Islam -- as all Muslims turn out to be, some even when they, personally, are quite close to being "Muslim-for-identification-purposes-only" Muslims.
The scandal of this professor, who cannot conceivably support, it appears, the First Amendment, or the Constitution, or the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (but could support the far different Muslim version -- the so-called Cairo Declaration of Human Rights) occupying a professorial chair (and who, of merit, is as a result not occupying that chair, for every Ward Churchill, every Khaled Abu el Fadl, every Cornell West, takes away a job from someone worthy, someone who might actually help the students learn about the subjectes he, that Churchill, that El Fadl, that West, purports to teach) needs to be examined.
During World War II, known Nazi sympathizers lost their jobs. Their tenured jobs. No one thought they had a right to retain them, and to misinform students about the nature of Adolf Hitler. There is no god-given right to tenure. It began at a time when professors could lose their jobs on whim. It is now a system that locks in all sorts of mediocrities, some of whom always were such, some of whom, once they attainted to the nirvana of tenure, promptly forgot about their duties to students, and either relaxed into intellectual inanition, or set out to make a kiling, with their tenured position as a base, as consultants, textbook-writers, grant-getting gadabouts -- Bellagio this year, and where to the next? -- who knew that once you get one grant, the next one, and then the next one, become easier to get, because the entire system is based not on real examinhation, but on the flow or passage of "prestige" from one rock to the next, with everyone assuming all the necessary vetting took place earlier on, and all one need do is validate, re-validate, re-re-validate, and so on.
Possibly this is a system that has to go.
But what certainly has to go are those who teach at law schools who cannot accept the most important part of the Constitution of the United States -- that is to say, the First Amendment.
Having read the article it is obvious that this professor is wilfully and deliberately misinterpreting the Danish and European laws.

The Danish public prosecutors are absolutely correct in their assessment that under the laws as currently on the statute books of that country there is no case to answer - a position supported by all reputable jurists in Europe. That this man can pervert reason for dubious ends simply indicates that he is not a fit person to have charge of the education of American youngsters especially those who may be seeking a career in the law. I do hope that one of you on that side of the pond instigates a campaign to have his tenure revoked. This demonstration of legalistic incompetence would be enough, by itself, to get him fired from any European Law School regardless of whether he had tenure or not.
His statements appear to be nothing more than deliberate misconstruction with the intent to deceive and mislead the commonweal into believing that the Danish Public Prosecutors could have done something if they really wanted to. Further, he says that he believes the lack of action to be political. Huh! Woe betide any Danish politician who even so much as glances in the direction of the legal establishment with even the smallest glint of interference in his eye. He would be inside a gaol so fast his feet wouldn't gather dust. Denmark's judiciary is separate from and independent of government, but I don't suppose even an educated mohammedan can grasp that concept. I find myself asking where on earth he learnt his law. I suppose the mindset must be sharia.
If this is the sort of person that you allow to teach your youngsters then you are in as much trouble as we are.
Note that Seton Hall is a well-known Catholic college. Just like Georgetown (home of the world's most famous Western Islamoapologist and many other like-minded folks) and Notre Dame, which invited Tariq "Taqiyya" Ramadan to hold a prestigious chair.

The comparison with Rwanda seems particularly inapposite. I understand that struggle over scarce resources (namely, water) underlay that conflict. Is he suggesting Jyllans-Posten is trying to monopolize the Danish water supply!

This professors argument
falters because the hatred that is intended to be stirred must be stirred against the target group, as in his Rwanda example, and not stirred in the target group. The target group always has legal recourse without resorting to violence and if violence is fomented against the target group the legal authorities must provide protection for the target group. Violence of the target group is itself extra-legal recourse that in itself is punishable.
If the law is extended to the situation where the hatred intended to be stirred may also be stirred in the target gorup, then there no longer is freedom of speech as this overly broad exception eliminates the entire right, as any target can then claim the speech or actions of another cause offense. In the extreme of this professors argument, I could claim that the ridiculous plaid pants worn by short fat balding men on a golf course are to me highly offensive and cause great emotional distress for which I can seek damages for mental injury.

I think the cartoon with Mohammed wearing a bomb on his head has been sadly misunderstood by Muslims all over the world.
It is in fact a positive image of Mohammed playing the role of a suicide bomber and leading by setting a good example for those Muslims who have been made heroes,martyrs, and shaheeds by the muslim umma.

De danske imamer påstår, at der ikke står ét bogstav eller komma forkert i koranen, da den er en tro kopi af den hellige koran som er i himlen hos Allah. Grundloven er ganske utvetydig. “Bliver at opløse” betyder på godt dansk at de skal opløses. Det er Justitsministerens ansvar at rejse sådanne sager, og hvis lovgivningen iøvrigt er for vag i forhold til Grundlovens klare ord er det igen Justitsministeren, der må få skærpet loven.

Hvad den religiøse side angår taler Grundloven helt klart. §69
“De fra Folkekirken afvigende trossamfunds forhold ordnes ved lov”
Hvordan den lov skal se ud siger Grundloven også. I § 67 hedder det:
"Borgerne har ret til at forene sig i samfund for at dyrke Gud på den måde, der stemmer med deres overbevisning, dog må intet læres og intet foretages, som strider mod sædeligheden eller offentlig orden.”
Hvis Justitsministeren vil overholde Grundloven, er der ingen vej udenom: Hun skal ordne et fra Folkekirken afvigende trossamfunds forhold ved lov, og det hellere i dag end i morgen.
Denne lov må naturligvis indeholde bestemmelser, der sikrer at §67 overholdes og sanktions-bestemmelser i tilfælde af at “sædeligheden og den offentlige orden” krænkes. Og man bør være opmærksom på at retten til at forsamles for at dyrke Gud strengt taget kun tilsikres borgere.
“Sædelighed” er et forældet ord. Det betyder noget i retning af hvad flertallet mener er acceptabel opførsel. Where the King James English of that (Pickthall) translation is not clear, read tafsir of the Koran to find out what the verses say, with no apologetics added. Tafsir of 48:28 is truly revealing.

Like I said, this guy is a hard-line Islamist. And he subscribes to the draw-string theory of Islamic rage and violence. That is, Muslims can't control their anger, but non-Muslims can reach a draw-string in the Muslims' back, and when the non-Muslims pull that draw-string, the Muslim enters into an uncontrollable rage and carries out violent acts. The only way to stop the anger and violence is for the non-Muslims to stop pulling the draw-string in the Muslims' backs.
Freamon, like other Islamists, wants to make an example out of Denmark. Note that his article is addressed to an American audience. He's talking to Americans, and the underlying message is, you will be insulted (e.g., called racist), there will be legal action launched, and possibly violence, if you do what Denmark did.
Freamon is openly siding with our enemies. He is a traitor and should be treated as such.

Because no one for a second would think that the Danes would follow the behavior of the worldwide Muslim Umma in burning down embassies, destroying innocent businesses, killing their own people in looting riots, or calling for death to those who mocked their religious sensibilities.
The Danish law, meanwhile, about "not offending any other people's relgions" is sloppily constructed and invites courtroom abuse by those who want to waste the energies of the legal system by bringing cynical challenges to its vague silliness.
They would be better served in replacing this messy statute with a version of the U.S. Bill of Right's First Amendment.
Every religion thinks every other religion is mistaken, and it is every religious person's natural impulse to criticize what they see as the mistaken dogmas of every other faith.
With these ill-conceived Danish laws, every honest follower of a faith would end up jailed if they expressed their real beliefs about any other creed.

And who will fight people like this idiot? Would be the leftists who will melt at the thought of offending "non white" pure "oppressed” and "underprivileged" people who suffered under savage colonial rule? Will it be the rightists who themselves want not to see their deities (Jesus et. al.) "defaced" by the likes of cartoonists. Christianity is not our true heritage, although we derived our civilization from it. Our real modern heritage is secularism itself. We only got there by attacking the church over hundreds of years. Now we are told khartoons ought not be drawn; that it threatens Islam and other "religions". In my opinion, the key rests with Christians, not the secularists. Will the Christians among us join the Moslems by sinking to their level and demanding the silencing of criticism of religion? Such a response might begin our slow descent into the rewriting of history and slow destruction of modern society. The ultimate victors will the Moslems and you can guess who else. Slowly we will all be forced back to the to the dark ages. A few of us will fight. Who among you wish to lower yourselves to the Moslem level? Can you tolerate your God being lampooned too? I believe the Christians are more mature than that now than they were 500 years ago, having endured centuries of modern ridicule. Those who are such tolerant Christians deserve praise for this tolerance. But will it last? Will resurgent Islam create the monster response in the West that would itself destroy modernity?
The heritage of the West is Christianity. Get used to it. The problem is, we have been hijacked by anti-Christian bigots and secularists who insist on denigrating our Christian culture AND imposing a foreign faith, Islam, on us.
In the coming civil war, Americans must target not only the Muslim populations in the West, but also the dhimmis who do Islam's bidding.
