More on this story from AP, with thanks to Mackie:
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- An Iranian group that claims its members are dedicated to becoming suicide bombers warned the United States and Britain on Saturday that they will strike coalition military bases in Iraq if Tehran's nuclear facilities are attacked.Mohammad Ali Samadi, spokesman for Esteshadion, or Martyrdom Seekers, boasted of having hundreds of potential bombers in his talk at a seminar on suicide-bombings tactics at Tehran's Khajeh Nasir University.
"With more than 1,000 trained martyrdom-seekers, we are ready to attack the American and British sensitive points if they attack Iran's nuclear facilities," Samadi said.
"If they strike, we have a lot of volunteers. Their (U.S. and British) sensitive places are quiet close to Iranian borders," Samadi said.
Already, Iraqi Shia death squads are in payback mode. Given that, time to pull out - from both Iraq & Afghanistan. If the Rafadite dog allies of the Iranians need to be opposed, let Zarqawi do it. Similarly, in Afghanistan, let the Talib and Tajiks/Hazaras duke it out.
Since the Iranians want nukes, give it to them. Send it via some ICBMs to their suspected nuclear sites. It will also have the salutory effect of ending Russian/Chinese/N Korean co-operation.
They can have their suicide bombers. But not nukes!
It's probably been said on JW before but if it's true about the suicide bombers then there's only one way to deal with the muslim solution but before that happens, the West needs to be whipped up into a frenzy of revenge to rid any guilt over Japan to accept the inevitable.
The ball is now gathering momentum but there's a long way to go and many people in the West will lose their lives before the cancer is finally irradiated.
yes sure!!!! this suicide bombers will casualy waltz up to the military base, probably pretending to look for a taxi in the distance then he gets spotted, the bomber stops in his tracks and starts trembling ever so slightly. He'll then hear the thundering voice of a crack US soldier screaming out, "HALT OR L'LL SHOOT" At this moment the bomber pisses his pants falling to his knees crying like a baby. "Please dont shoot me." Gee they're dipsticks.
Uh thanks for the warning but we already knew what your reactions would be, the world can read you mooslems like a book, your true intents are very transparent and from our view point we expect you to pillage and plunder at every opportunity because yours is a religion of piece.
Well you will surely get a piece as is written in my book.
Surrender says elBaradei:

West may have to live with low-level Iranian atom work
Sun Feb 19, 2006 8:21 AM ET
"IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei will make no recommendations in a broad report on three years of probes in Iran he is to give to board members on February 27, a week before they convene to weigh whether to urge a course of action by the Security Council.
But he has already suggested in diplomatic circles that a compromise may lie in accepting small-scale enrichment in Iran in exchange for guarantees of no full nuclear fuel production that could enable diversions into bomb-making, diplomats say."
Whose side is he on, anyway. Need I ask?
"Their (U.S. and British) sensitive places are quiet [sic] close to Iranian borders..."
-- from the article above
American and British forces should leave Iraq now, not "when the Iraqis tell us they are ready" but now, for many reasons. The main reason is of course the misallocation of resources, lives and money and materiel, to a cause that is both impossislbe (no matter how long the American military trainers toil, they will not manage to create an "Iraqi" army or "Iraqi" police out of Sunni and Shi'a, Arab and Kurd) and misconceived as a goal in the first place. For it is precisely those sectarian and ethnic divisions that one wishes to exploit, and ideally out of it all could come a completely independent Kurdistan (an inspiration for other non-Arab Muslims, such as the Berbers in Algeria, not to mention the Kurds in Iran and Syria), and a source of constant conflict between Sunnis and Shi'a, drawing in money, men, and attention from outside.
It is important that this Sunni-Shi'a conflict break out into the open quickly, so that whatever sympathy or rallying-round might be expected when (and if) the Americans or others attack Iran's nuclear facilities, such a humiliation for the Shi'a Islamic Republic is perceived by Sunnis mainly as a Shi'a defeat. This conflict cannot flame up as long as the Americans are there both as warmakers (against mainly the Sunnis, whom they may discover they do not wish to weaken quite so much) and simultaneously as peacemakers (trying to forge a Sunni-Shi'a compromise that the Americans have no stake in forging, should wish instead to prevent).
Furthermore, with all the Iranian agents now in Iraq, and the possiblity of human waves of Iranian troops coming across the border, it makes sense to have the Americans well away if there is to be any move to destroy, even in part, Iran's nuclear project.
The Iranians are convinced, with reason, that the Americans are bogged down in Iraq, and that those troops are hostages who prevent freedom of American action. They need to be proven wrong. Tbhe troops need to leave, very quickly -- and the pretext (the government is now formed, time for "the Iraqi people" to "make their own decisions and come to compromises that no outsiders can force on them" and "we have done what we can and our generals tell us at this point our presence may be a negative rather than positive factor" and all that other stuff. Just do it.
The effect on Iran of such a removal of
American troops? Outwardly, crowing. Inwardly, great consternation. For at once the Shi'a in Iraq will be on their own against much fiercer and more experienced Iraqi (and outside) Sunnis, and now the Shi'a will require the assistance of Iranian troops (no doubt the drawing off of true-believers from Iran will also be a relief to Iranian dissidents, wishing them all to go off to battle and never to return).
And what else will the Islamic Republic of Iran's rulers be thinking? Well, if the Americans have removed those troops, that must mean they are serious about attacking us, so perhaps we should just put this project on hold until a better occasion presents itself. And this itself may concentrate minds.
Or not. In which case, the Americans, without troops in the area, and from the air, with the use missiles and planes that can accomplish what a land invasion could not, and no such attempt should even be considered (no more land invasions of Muslim countries anywhere, except in a spirit of total war -- the spirit of the last year or two of World War II), will have the necessary freedom to act.
It is not hard to come up with any number of reasons for getting out of Iraq.
"It's up to the Iraqi people now. We've gotten rid of the dictator who oppressed all of them, and rid of his regime. We've made a great start on introducing democracy to Iraq, and that democracy is theirs now, if they can keep it. But it's time for them to make all of their own decisions and to learn the art of political compromise that any young democracy must, and that can only be done from within. Of course, we'll be ready to offer our guidance, and of course our good wishes are with you."
Words, ridiculous but plausible words, to that effect.
I'm afraid I have to differ with Hugh on this one. We need those bases in Iraq to help attack Iran when the time comes. I do, however, believe we should cease policing Iraq at the earliest opportunity and pull our military back to defense of air and land assault bases and to the oil installations. Bunker up. There's no reason to risk U.S. troops in those Iraqi cities any longer.
An air attack on Iran is not going to be sufficient. There can be NO room for error when destroying the nuclear weapons production of the Iranians, and that means ground troops must be sent in, if not as part of the first major assault, then as a clean up, recon and capture operation.
muslims: Pack your things. Plan for long trip &
extended stay. (Think: permanent)
Quote from Chuck:
"Uh thanks for the warning but we already knew
what your reactions would be..."
What is new is them putting a number on it.
Only one thousand? Is that all they got?
"warned the United States and Britain on Saturday that they will strike coalition military bases in Iraq if"
Whoa! News alert! Muslims threaten suicide bombing! YGTBSM

Suicide bombers have been hitting for about three years now in Iraq, so how is this supposed to scare anyone any further?
Will the suicide bombers be really husky guys who can carry a few more pounds of screws and semtex strapped to their yellow guts?
Big deal.
The craters around Iran will be a tad larger.
Unless, of course, the Iranian people storm the palace and hang the mullahs and Mahmoud for endangering their ancient land with the frovolous folly of the suicidal "Return of the Hidden Imam, AKA The Mahdi!" delusion.
I hear a new clock ticking at the Pentagon.
Right in one of the offices restored after a Muslim terrorist-guided U.S. passenger jet was crashed into the building.
It's getting louder and louder...
Their bluster is amazing. Surely, they suffer
from Infantile Psychosis.
Time to do a "fly over" over Iran and drop
leaflets showing the devaatation from Hiroshoma
and Nagasaki during WWII.
I know they don't get "The History Channel" so they need to be "educated" as to the destructive
power of nukes. Actually, a video would be better, a little psy-ops never hurts.
Now the bad part, four more dissidents were hung this week? Where is the UN, et al ??????????

Now, Foehammer have you really considered sending American troops into the radioactive wasteland formerly know as Iran once their nuclear capabilities are vaporized?
Sadam has been removed; now let the Iraqis handle this. I agree that we need to pull back if not totally out of Iraq and let the Iraqis sort their democracy out.
The war in Iraq has caused oil to more than double in cost and made billions for President Bush's oil buddies. We can survive without the Middle East and its oil. It would be tough, but it is better to live without any form of threat from the Middle East.
The war in Iraq has cost America over 2000 lives and over $200 billion in taxes that could have been better expended on locking down our borders, rounding up those that do not belong in America, rebuilding the Gulf Cost and expanding our alternate energy sources.
You can not force peace on a people that do not want peace unless you totally defeat them and this has not been done.
How much more of our Federal Taxes do you want our Federal Government to waste in the Middle East on a democracy that is destined for utter failure because the three powers (Sunnis Shiites & Kurds) that want to rule in Iraq have been warring with each other for centuries. There will be no lasting peace between these three. One of the three (Shiites probably) will finally gain total control and the internal war will again be waged in Iraq.
What will happen to the infidels and the American troops in the Middle East once the war with Islam starts?????
Sadam is gone from power and we need to be gone too and let the Muslims murder each other to determine which side will rule in Iraq. If we have a favorite side, arm them.

Every Trident Sub, and we have a dozen, holds the power of destruction 432 times Hiroshima and Nagasaki...Times that by 12 and you get the picture. Middle East is vaporized. That would only take ONE Trident. Just program the coordinates and poof...Time be a tickin.
Moblo would be handing out virgin vouchers for eternity.
