Youngsters and jihad

Rachel Ehrenfeld and Alyssa A. Lappen survey the treatment of children in the Palestinian Authority, which will ensure that the jihad continues into the next generation. From the Washington Times, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

What would you like to be when you growup?A Hamas children's magazine has a clear answer: a terrorist. A children's story it published calls upon small children and encourages them to commit terrorist acts and sacrifice their souls for Allah.

Western politicians who delude themselves in the belief that Hamas will change have only to consider what Hamas leaders say. On Feb. 3, Hamas chief Khaled Mash'al declared in Damascus: "Before Israel dies, it must be humiliated and degraded," according to the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Hamas gives this message to the present generation. But they also ensure that the next generation of Palestinians, now growing up, receives this message as early as possible. Hamas TV shows impart children with the jihad message when they are toddlers. And for kids who have learned to read, there are magazine comics.

The children's magazine named Fatah -- Arabic for the Muslim who conquers the Kufir States -- in its last two issues carried an illustrated story about the heroism of a very young but courageous Palestinian child, who is determined to be a jihad fighter like his older brothers.

The story demonstrates the indoctrination and "education" to which even the youngest of Palestinian children are exposed by Hamas in schools and publications.

Read it all.

Allah the Merciful, Compassionate.
Bismillah arahman araheem.

Hammas takes the pages out of Hitler's youth. these zombies will become monsters and know only death and destruction, and like Hitler's Youth will meet their death and destruction of their culture and country.

Ove-La, pää kii.

This has been going on for years.
Then we import them, educate them and suffer the consequences for the stupidity of our brainless polititions.
NO MORE MUSLIM IMMIGRATION TO THE WEST.

Assalam-laikum all,

Childrens are the future, they will inherit the earth - that is why I believe Islam will the dominant global religion/political following of the future.

While the Westerners birthrate has been steadily been falling, the muslim/wuslim number of childrens has been steadily increasing.

Did you know that over 200,000 6 year olds can recite the koran from memory. What possible chance do you have of convincing them that Islam is not what it seems....they simply know that Islam is a religion of peace and the Infidel mocks the prophet(pbuh) by cartoons...and needs to pay for this insult....for is it not true that we love our prophet more than our brothers and sisters.

Ofcourse it will be impossible for the West to stop Islam from "aquiring" nucleur weapons. It will be greedy western middle-age business men who will be the prime instigators of this....the ones with no heirs...the scientists with broken marriages...dying for a bit of attention.

Middle age spread, no hair, glasses, obese ...no problem, "Convert....have 4 young muslim wives......drive the best cars ...free petrol...no problem for your V8 SUV Mr Williams".

"We get you best house, no problem....all for yellow cake....good deal yes".....yes and the exchanges for knowledge, hardware, software, will be done.

The westerner has been weaned on materialism...that will be his downfall. You need a baby alarm for baby night feeding. This is a natural instinct for the muslima ammi....used to it after the 4th/5th/6th baby.....no problem...and husband get's good night's rest.

Ofcourse all here will be leaving your legacy, your wealth and your hatred of Islam to your heirs, ..some westerners choose not to have any preferring instead to give their wealth to a dogs home (haa haa ha, that's so funny, especially as they know that dogs are not well loved in Islam).

Know that you will be leaving him facing odds of 4:1 everywhere.....and leaving her to become one of 4 wives to a mussalman. You don't want to do that ...you love your hiers too much to do that to them ....so you won't have any (wow, what a wierd irony).

So now live your lives to the max, flaunt your wealth...after all ...there's will be no benifactors.

In the future, during the dwindling infidel numbers and the dying days of christianity, the infidel will commission report WOLFI - (World of little & few Infidels) on this phenomenon.

It will read the following.

"The fall in numbers of the infidel hiers was due their preference for dogs and cats....the love for animals has been the *real* submission of the infidel to Islam".

Except that, mainly by virtue of its growth in China, Christianity, not Islam, is the world's fastest growing religion. I guess the Islamists are running out of illiterates?

Thanks loler, I couldn't find the link myself.

In fact I just returned last week from central China (Xining and surrounds, the centre of the Muslim population in China), and even there the amount of Christian symbolism (paintings, crosses on buildings etc) was very striking. It's not something that we hear much about, of course.

Sorry naseem, I would rather be surrounded by dogs than muslims since dogs dont demand that I capitulate or die. If ever there was a reason to resist the muslims breathing down our necks, not being able to have a dog would be that reason.

Imagine the new world order according to islam, with dying industry and failing societies, all of which lie under the influence of a repressive regime of self-appointed religious dictators. What a grand thought.

Who will the muslims blame for their misfortunes when the 'lesser' people have been eradicated? No jews to blame for poverty, no America to blame for starvation, no west to blame for failed economies...who will you have left to hate?

So continue to type your screeds on a Japanese computer while you sip American soda and talk on a Finnish cell phone, if islam truly takes over the world you will be back to sending messages scrawled on papyrus and reading by candlelight.

Westerners recoil in horror that young children lose their childhood, that they are mentally poisoned by hate, intolerance, and a lust for vengeance. Naseem, on the other hand, rejoices in this.

Naseem

That's the thing about Islam - the children can recite the Koran - but they don't know simple things- like sugar rots the teeth.
____
They don't know that small things called germs or microbes cause odour - and so the bathrooms in their houses stink.
____
They can recite the Koran - but the mother doesn't understand that milk makes the child’s bones and teeth strong - and feeds her children on sweet tea instead, so that all of the teeth of almost every young child are rotten.
___
It is the recitation of the Koran - that blocks other knowledge like - improvements in agriculture. It is the reciting of the Koran - that means that you have to get your butter from Denmark and New Zealand. You have no viable industries of your own.
___
It is the reciting of the Koran - above all other knowledge - that means every time one of your Islamic leaders has heart troubles - he has to be brought to Europe for medical care.
__
It is the Koran that is in the brains - of all of those dead North Africans washed up on the shores of Southern Europe each week - because reciting the Koran could bring them a paying job.
__
That is precisely why you will not take us over - because when it comes to advancements in technology or knowledge and in scientific research - you guys have traded that in for the recitation of the Koran.
__________________________________
Muslim countries are backwards in comparison to the West.
__________________________________
Because the Koran is recited so much in Saudi Arabian schools - the young people don't even have enough know how to work in their own oil industry. And you have 50% unemployment there - among the men.
_______________
In Islamic countries the infant mortality rate is so high - maybe 3 out of 8 children survive.
________________
It may be that the girls - might be lucky to be reciting the Koran - or anything with writing on it. Think this will be the mothers of your future 'Globally Dominate Islam’, illiterate at its head.
___
I think that in reality the Islamic world feels insecure, as the Western world looks much more attractive than the strict austerity of Islam.
___
So you are fighting back - with your Korans. But would it not be too forbidden to slip these little Islamic children a few American toys, some Japanese cartoons and some European story books like Hansel & Gretel or Three Little Bears, because we might make Western children out of them yet.

Poor Naseem shouldn't be answered in detail as clearly he is one of the 200k brainwashed children who can recite the Koran.

What a TOTAL WASTE of brain cells!! How many of them actually understand it ? How many of them even speak its language? How many were beaten into doing it? Most Germans had a copy of Mein Kampf in the family home. but like Naseem mnay said that they read it but very few did read it and even less understood it.

He is yet to realise that his very statement is what proves that it is the INDOCTRINATION of Islam and not its ethical or religious value which keeps it going. Teach a child to hate, teach a child to believe in fairy tales(satan hiding in my nose OMG!!), teach a child that truth has no relevance except as seen through the eyes of long dead and sadistic child rapist and you will produce a brainwashed child who acts like a pavlovian dog via his "religion".

Lulu.. Hitler based his view of national socialism upon Islamic ideals which he openly admired and the Hitler Youth and nazi fanatacism generally are simply a subset of the greater indoctrination set as exemplified by Islam.

We should pity Naseem as he is so obviously blinded by the lies which his religion has put out as history that he could not see the truth if it hit him in the face.Poor fellow!! I could pity most muslims if they were not responsible for so much hate and violence.

The pathetic little point about dogs is so apt. I find animals far superior to people with violent agendas as we do not see them beheading, stoning, or amputating for a belief. Wild animals only kill for food. Wild humans kill in the name of religion, politics or worse. Maybe Naseem should buy a dog and learn the meaning of love and fidelity and not some dark age arab's twisted view of it.

I wouldn't gloat too long Naseem as without the west you will be back to barefeet and starving as you lot would mostly be without foreign(see western)aid. You cannot even shoot us without imported ammunition and weapons, How pathetic is that?

Naseem:

Breeding in large numbers and raising children to be trained parrots is not the way to cultivate a vibrant, successful society but it surely is the way to, as Nonie Darish put it, to instill hatred in them, which Muslims do very successfully. This same on-line magazine is also cultivating Palestinian children to prepare for the future (i.e.: after they exterminate Israel) -- focus on reclaiming Al-Andaluse!

What the Muslim world has yet to figure out -- although, you yourself have only had a relatively small family -- is that limiting family size has a lot to do with economic betterment. Very few people can manage to adequately feed, house and educate families of more than two or three children. Iran, despite its vast petroleum wealth and surging population is an economic disaster that will implode if it doesn't explode its neighbours first. And where would Pakistan or Egypt be without western aid?

Gloat away, Naseem, about your supposedly superior faith. 80% of the world thinks you are backward and pathetic because you are.

Here's an excerpt from an analysis of a report by the UN's International Labour Office -- prepared by Dr. N. Raphaeli, an Iraqi-born Israeli who used to work for either the IMF or the World Bank, and helped to expose the Oil-for-Food scam to the world -- that explains why the Middle East and North Africa are such an economic morass:

High Rate of Unemployment in the Arab Countries

Ahmad Gowaili, secretary-general of the Arab League Economic Unity Council, referred to an unemployment rate of 20 percent in the Arab countries. According to Gowaili, this percentage is translated into 22 million unemployed, of whom 60 percent are youth. This figure, he added, is likely to increase by three percent annually. He attributes the main cause of unemployment to the failure in most Arab countries to link educational orientation to the labor market requirements. [15]

Read that last sentence over again and comprehend it: Islamic scholarship does very little for the advancement of these nations.

And for another fascinating look at the psychopathology behind all of the rancour over the cartoons, a frontpagemag.com symposium entitled "Purifying Allah's Soil".

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=21059

It's nine pages long, but loaded with incredible analysis like this from Dr. David Guttman, a retired professor of psychology and behavioural science who spent a number of years in the Middle East studying, among others, the Druse:

"[...]

Finally then, the Jews - by creating a successful state and a victorious army - have added greatly to the Muslim overlord's current sense of humiliation. As Arthur Koestler once remarked, in the last 500 years the Arab world has not produced much of anything but rugs and dirty postcards (and innovative terrorist tactics); and as they take their place on the world stage, they realize that they have little to show - particularly when compared to the Israelis. The Jews have high culture, superior science, a formidable army, and weapons that the world lines up to buy. And Israel's accomplishments are achieved from within the heart of Dar-Al-Islam itself. The very existence of Israel is for extremist Islam a gross insult, and a potent narcissistic wound. No wonder then that its leaders indulge wet dreams of nuclear genocide. But it is hurt pride and its attendant rage rather than Islamic theology that powers such fantasies.

The European reaction to the war against the Jews has multiple roots, mostly having to do with a bad collective conscience. The Europeans try to shed the burden of persecutory conscience by removing the title of "Victim" from the Jews and transferring it to the receptive Palestinians. By backing Palestinian claims the Europeans solve their problem vis-à-vis the Jews, and emerge cleansed: no longer victimizers, they are the victim's champion.

Increasingly, the Palestinians have posed as the modern incarnation of Jesus Christ, the holy victim of deicidal - now genocidal - Jews. I have no direct evidence for this hunch, but I do believe that the Palestinians, as they pantomime the crucified Christ, have revived very potent European iconography: the martyred Savior and his Jewish murderers. Theology may not be the prime mover of Islamic anti-Semitism, but it is probably playing a powerful though unacknowledged role in the European war against the Jews.

[...]

What on earth was Nasneem saying? You know, how about an agreement? I will never, ever try to learn Arabic, let alone write in it and these people should never, ever learn English nor attempt to communicate in it.

His comment alluding to the "dying days of Christianity" are interesting which shows me that he really has no background in history because Christianity and Judaism have faced the worst from Haman to Hitler and everything inbetween and since the Second World War.

Jesus said that the "gates of hell will not prevail against The Church".

The only thing which destroys, is evil and when one pursues hatred and evil, then it is eventually those very traits which destroy humanity.

Education, productivity and civility would suit the Islamic world much better.

If their "God" is interested in making everything Islamic, does he really need their help?

Judging by the Islamic nations, they could only hope for a totally Islamic world. What then? Well that's when the factions of Islam turn on itself and eventually destroys from within, because hatred is divisive.

Don't they grow weary of hating and killing and fighting? "Islam is the way of peace?" I say it is the way of pieces.

Just my thoughts. PJ

An alternative view on ME demographics and the future of Islam.

Demographics and Iran's imperial design
By Spengler

Aging populations will cause severe discomfort in the United States and extreme pain in Japan and Europe by mid-century. But the same trends will devastate the frail economies of the Islamic world, and likely plunge many countries into social chaos.

By 2050, elderly dependents will comprise nearly a third of the population of some Muslim nations, notably Iran - converging on America's dependency ratio at mid-century. But it is one thing to face such a problem with America's per capita gross domestic product (GDP) of $40,000, and quite another to face it with Iran's per capita GDP of $7,000 - especially given that Iran will stop exporting oil before the population crisis hits.

The industrial nations face the prospective failure of their pension systems. But what will happen to countries that have no pension system, where traditional society assumes the care of the aged and infirm? In these cases it is traditional society that will break down, horribly and irretrievably so. Below, I will review the relevant numbers.

In a recent essay, I argued that declining Muslim population growth rates give the Islamists just one generation in which to strike out for their goal of global theocracy (The demographics of radical Islam, August 23). Muslim birth rates are collapsing as literacy rises, that is, as the modern world intrudes upon traditional society. Islamic traditional society is so fragile that it crumbles as soon as women learn to read.

But the Islamists will not wait for traditional society to unravel. I grossly underestimated Iran's new president Mahmud Ahmadinejad in a report on the Iranian elections (Iran: The living fossils' vengeance, June 28).

In programs made public on August 15, Ahmadinejad revealed a response worthy of Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin to the inevitable unraveling of Iran's traditional society. He proposes to reduce the number of villages from 66,000 to only 10,000, relocating 30 million Iranians. That is a preemptive response to the inevitable depopulation of rural Iran, in keeping with a totalitarian program for all aspects of Iranian society.

As Amir Taheri wrote in Arab News on August 20, "He [Ahmadinejad] wants the state to play a central role in all aspects of people's lives and emphasizes the importance of central planning. The state would follow the citizens from birth to death, ensuring their health, education, well-being and leisure. It will guide them as to what to read and write and what 'cultural products' to consume so as not to be contaminated by Western ideas."

Reengineering the shape of Iran's population, the central plank of the new government's domestic program, should be understood as the flip side of Iran's nuclear coin. Aggressive relocation of Iranians and an aggressive foreign policy both constitute a response to the coming crisis.

Iran claims that it must develop nuclear power to replace diminishing oil exports. It seems clear that Iranian exports will fall sharply, perhaps to zero by 2020, according to Iranian estimates. But Iran's motives for acquiring nuclear power are not only economic but strategic. Like Hitler and Stalin, Ahmadinejad looks to imperial expansion as a solution for economic crisis at home.

Iran wants effective control of Iraq through its ascendant Shi'ite majority, and ultimately control of the oil-rich regions of western Saudi Arabia, where Shi'ites form a majority. As Pepe Escobar reported from Tehran (Iran takes over Pipelineistan , Sep 10), Ahmadinejad wants to make Iran a regional power not only in production but in transmission, through a proposed oil pipeline through Iraq and Syria.

This may appear to be a desperate gamble, but conditions call for desperate gambles. Ahmadinejad is not a throwback, as I wrote with a dismissiveness that seems painful in hindsight. He has taken the measure of his country's crisis, and determined to meet it head-on. Washington, from what I can tell, has no idea what sort of opponent it confronts. Iranian dissidents were supposed to push their country toward democratization, following the glasnost model of Soviet deterioration, and contagion from the new democracy in Iraq was supposed to hasten the process. Ahmadinejad's ascendancy took Washington by complete surprise. Now there is nothing obvious the US can do to reduce Iran's influence among Iraqi Shi'ites, or to prevent Iran from pursuing its nuclear ambitions.

The rising elderly dependent ratio, that is, the proportion of pensioners in the general population, has given rise to a genre of apocalyptic literature in the West: governments will raise taxes, debase the currency, cut pensions and flail about hopelessly as the cost rises of supporting the rising number of aged. In the US, pensioners now are 18% of the population, but will become 33% by 2050, according to the United Nations' medium forecast. In other words, a full additional 15% of the population will require support from the remaining population.

Shifting a full 15% of the population from the ranks of the working to the ranks of the retired will place an uncomfortable burden on American taxpayers, to be sure. But the shift in the case of Muslim countries is much worse. Between 2005 and 2050, the shift from workers to pensioners will comprise 21% of Iranians, 19% of Turks and Indonesians, and 20% of Algerians. That is almost as bad as the German predicament, where the proportion of dependent elderly will rise from 28% in 2005 to 50% in 2050.

Each employed German worker will have to support a pensioner in 2050. A simple way to express the problem is that German productivity must rise by 0.8% per year between now and 2050 simply to maintain the same standard of living, for that is the rate of productivity growth that would allow a smaller number of German workers to produce the same amount of goods and services. That is not inconceivable; during the 1990s, German productivity grew at such levels. Productivity growth in the Arab world and Iran has been low or negative, and is not likely to improve.

As I observed in my June analysis of Iran's presidential election, "From an economic standpoint, Iran is a changeling monster, an oil well attached to an iron lung, as it were, maintaining with subsidies a rural population that is no longer viable. Oil and natural gas earn $1,300 a year for each Iranian, roughly a fifth of per-capita GDP. The Islamic republic dispenses this wealth to keep alive a moribund economy. Government spending has risen by four-and-a-half times during the past four years, financed via the central bank's printing press, pushing inflation up to 15% pa [per annum], while unemployment remains at 11%."

Iran's ultra-Islamist government has no hope of ameliorating the crisis through productivity growth. Instead it proposes totalitarian methods that will not reduce the pain, but only squelch the screams. Iran envisages a regional Shi'ite empire backed by nuclear weaponry. And Washington, from what I can tell, has not a clue as to what is happening.

Apart from Iran, the population dynamics described above will lead to more rather than fewer terrorist demonstrations. A school of thought represented by Daniel Pipes, for example, holds that "terrorism obstructs the quiet work of political Islamism", as Pipes wrote on August 3 in the New York Sun. "In tranquil times, organizations like the Muslim Council of Britain and the Council on American-Islamic Relations effectively go about their business, promoting their agenda to make Islam dominant and imposing dhimmitude (whereby non-Muslims accept Islamic superiority and Muslim privilege). Westerners generally respond like slowly boiled frogs are supposed to, not noticing a thing."

Here I think Pipes is wrong; the Islamists have to strike quickly and decisively, not only to advance their cause in the West but also to consolidate their power in home countries where conditions will become unstable before long.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

How about some of the old standard answers, like a doctor, lawyer, or teacher? Any society could use some of those. Or, even the some of the more ambitious ones like Olympic gold medalist, Prime Minister, or billionaire philanthropist.

If "suicide terrorist" is the preferred answer, then they're going to have a hell of a time building a functioning society.

Of course, one can readily observe how well it functions already.

"Breeding in large numbers and raising children to be trained parrots is not the way to cultivate a vibrant, successful society ..."

-- posted by Waterdragon52

It has become apparent to me (I am a slow learner) that a vibrant, successful society is not a goal of Islam. Moreover, it is apparent that economic development of any kind, the betterment of living conditions for mankind on earth, does not factor into Muslim calculations. What happens in the temporal world is, for them, of no consequence.

The only thing that matters is the ascendancy of Islam and its domination of the entire globe for Allah.

By Koranic requirements, the only economic factor that matters is a relative one: that the superior Muslims live better than non-Muslims. Anything else is humiliation.

Dead Man Walking says "Who will the muslims blame for their misfortunes when the 'lesser' people have been eradicated? No jews to blame for poverty, no America to blame for starvation, no west to blame for failed economies...who will you have left to hate?"

DMW...there will be no need to hate anyone anymore....As Islam will the sole benifactor...there will only be peace.

Pass it on - you missed the most important one "Because the Koran is recited so much...Islam ruled the world"

Zathras says "You cannot even shoot us without imported ammunition and weapons, How pathetic is that?", it is less pathetic than the infidel who wants to sell them to us...to buy a few materialistic things....it is the infidel who will sign his own demise...Islam couldn't achieve it on it's own.

Treehugger.... I don't think that much of Spengler's analysis. He makes the fundamental assumption that people will remain where they are by 2050. That's absolute rubbish. Most likely Europe will be Eurabia....some countries within Eurabia will be Islamic, sharia will be here (after being voted in by democratic means).
Laws will be changed to allow more muslims into Eurabia to ease the burden of countries like Iran. Also a lot more produce from Eurabia will move to/from muslim countries making a new style economic model ....required to move forward for the 22nd centuary.

Naseem, I am one of those here who thinks of you as a grand asset to this site, so you'll forgive me (I Hope!) when I read:

'DMW...there will be no need to hate anyone anymore....As Islam will the sole benifactor...there will only be peace.'

The first thing that popped into my head was an image of Mohammed, kicked back in a lounger with a nice, cool drink... on top of a massive mausoleum.

Yep. Peaceful...

Naseem, you are ignoring the most salient point in the article-that Iran is seeking a confrontation with the US and Israel. You are assuming that the present situation will continue, and Muslims will be allowed to immigrate at their present rate.

I believe that Iran will be attacked, and soon.

Iran will likely retaliate with terrorist attacks on US and European soil. Other extremists will be inspired to upscale their actions.

Then, cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war.

Do you really think that Europe, the continent of the bloodiest wars of recent history, will hold their hand forever against the enemy in their midst?

Brett_McS: Last time I looked at the map, Xinjiang (Sharki Turkistan) was the northwestern 1/6 of China, not a central province. Still, I'd like to talk some with you. If OK, I'll pass my email.

Loler, good posting you sent.

From Naseem above:

Dead Man Walking says "Who will the muslims blame for their misfortunes when the 'lesser' people have been eradicated? No jews to blame for poverty, no America to blame for starvation, no west to blame for failed economies...who will you have left to hate?"

DMW...there will be no need to hate anyone anymore....As Islam will the sole benifactor...there will only be peace.

Naseem,

Don't you even read your own papers? The second most prolific front for terrorist
bombings in the islam on islam variety. Hardly a week goes by without a report
of sunni and shi'ite fratricide. As I said in an earlier post, even if the whole
world goes islamic, there still won't be peace.

Thank you, NoMo, for iterating my thoughts exactly. To which peaceful Islamic paradise is Naseem referring--the one in Iraq or the one in Darfur? (Just to mention two locations of internecine fighting between Muslim factions.)

Naseem

Do you really think Arab Moslems can better themselfs without large numbers of infidels?
Notice that “Palestine” was a really prosperous place before the Jews made a Country out of it. If the Moslem could ever remove their plague, “Palestine“ would return back to a Moslem waste land, run by Hamass.

Have you noticed that Moslem Countries only have money because us infidels want your oil? It even took the infidels knowledge to show these bright Moslems how to extract the oil. I know its hard to believe, with the current Islamic BS about how Moslems invented everything, except they couldn’t invent a simple pump. Go figure.

Conclusion, no infidels, no Arab cash flow.

As long as the literacy rate in Moslem Countries stays very low, then Islam will continue to grow. If the literacy rate falls, then Islamic growth will fall along with it.

Afghanistan
Religion: Sunni Muslim 80%, Shi'a Muslim 19%, other 1%
Literacy: definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 36%

Pakistan
Religion: Muslim 97% (Sunni 77%, Shi'a 20%), Christian, Hindu, and other 3%
Literacy: definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 48.7%

Iran
Religion: Shi'a Muslim 89%, Sunni Muslim 9%, Zoroastrian, Jewish, Christian, and Baha'i 2%
Literacy: definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 79.4%

Saudi Arabia
Religion: Muslim 100%
Literacy: definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 78.8%

And this for a comparison

United States
Religion: Protestant 52%, Roman Catholic 24%, Mormon 2%, Jewish 1%, Muslim 1%, other 10%, none 10% (2002 est.)
Literacy: definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 97%

Kepha: No, Xining, there are a lot of places with similar word formation. If you include Tibet as Western China (which the Chinese do, Richard Gere not withstanding), Xining is pretty well slap bang in the middle of the country.

I don't know how this system works vis a vis emails, but sure, send an email. If you already have, perhaps send it again, as I tend to delete unexpected emails.

treehugger: That was a great article. Worth reading twice!

WHAT, 60 percent of the youth in the Arab world are unemployed... Who in their right mind would have children if there is no hope of employment for them, unless they are being breed for war..
And who in their right mind wants their children to die... It is obvious that these people are brainless, as they don't seem to have enough brains to see that their the hundreds of their lustrous leaders and their sons are not blowing themselves up.. and the reasons that they don't is because they know that paradise was only a lie concocted by Mohammad to get the men to go to war to fight for him, ...how else could he get the men to plunder, slaughter, and get the booty so as he could continue to live in a life of luxury after his very rich wife died, you promise these stupid fools of men that because of their faithfulness to Allah the moon god,( the god of agriculture, the sword and war), that they will receive beautiful virgins of both boys and girls, what ever they so desire, till the end of time ...
Naseem, you say...there will be no need to hate anyone anymore....As Islam will the sole benefactor...there will only be peace.
No Naseem, there are factions in Islam, Muslims cannot get along with anyone, so they will just hate and fight each other. Muslims say that they come from the line of Ishmael, and the Old testament said that Ishmael will be a wild man, and his hands will be against every man, and every man's hands against him, and he will live in hostility towards all his brothers... sounds familiar doesn't it,, Arabs and Muslims cannot seem to get along with anyone... world wide it is Muslims fightening someone else...
