Allan Wall at NewsMax.com skewers the Administration's weak response to the Abdul Rahman case:
"Before September 11th, 2001, Afghanistan was ruled by a cruel regime that oppressed its people ... The Afghan people are building a vibrant young democracy ... America will stand with the Afghan people as they build a free society ..." - President George W. BushAfghanistan now holds as prisoner its citizen Abdul Rahman, who faces the death penalty. Rahman's crime? He converted from Islam to Christianity, a capital offense in "free" Afghanistan.
So what did President Bush have to say about that?
"I'm troubled when I hear, deeply troubled when I hear, the fact that a person who converted away from Islam may be held to account. That's not the universal application of the values that I talked about. I look forward to working with the government of that country to make sure that people are protected in their capacity to worship."
Excuse me, but that sounds rather tepid to me. Halfhearted. Lukewarm.
We know Bush can speak passionately on subjects he's really interested in, like defending illegal immigration, for example. But defending a Christian in the Middle East? Apparently, that's not a big priority.
The State Department's responses were even worse. Questioned by a reporter, spokesman Sean McCormack refused to say that Rahman shouldn't be executed, instead babbling on about how the judicial process should be "transparent."
So it's ok to kill a Christian as long as the "process" is "transparent?"
Read it all.

That's right -- because frankly, Abdul Rahman does not represent very much in the way of material assests or influence.
[Someone in the White House]
"How much money does Abdul Rahman represent?"
[long pause]
"that's it?" click. dial tone.
So this is what that great religion of peace has turned into after all we have done, it has not changed at all and the value placed on a human life has gained nothing there either.
It becomes more evident on a daily basis that there can be only one resolve to the nonsense of islam...they bring it on themselves and their people, no moderation in islamic lands nor in the western hemisphere either, they play us like a piano trying to make us believe there only a small majority mooslems who are fanatics but in reality it is the whole of islam at its best, lying, deceiving and manipulating the masses.
My prayers go out to Rahman and my hopes are for some kind of intervention to difuse this situation now.
Folks, here's a petition in support of Rahman.

Every bit helps.
From another article. Looks like many ordinary Afghans want him executed too.

Senior clerics in the Afghan capital have voiced strong support for the prosecution and again warned today they would incite people to execute Rahman unless he reverted to Islam.
Rahman had “committed the greatest sin” by converting to Christianity and deserved to be killed, cleric Abdul Raoulf said in a sermon at Herati Mosque.
“God’s way is the right way, and this man whose name is Abdul Rahman is an apostate,” he told about 150 worshippers.
Another cleric, Ayatullah Asife Muhseni, told a gathering of preachers and intellectuals at a Kabul hotel that the Afghan president had no right to overturn the punishment of an apostate.
He also demanded clerics be able to question Rahman in jail to discover why he had converted to Christianity. He suggested it could have been the result of a conspiracy by Western nations or Jews.
At a fruit market in Kabul, many ordinary Afghans said they supported the death penalty, but some wanted more investigation before meting out the punishment to find out why Rahman converted to Christianity.

Unfortuantely, George, Tony, and their like-minded globalist-elites are playing that piano; their willfully ignorant supporters (who only care that they are members of this or that political party) are the backup chorus; and the emmirs are the composers handing out the sheet music.
An ensamble born in hell as far as my musical ear is concerned.
May your prayers and hopes come to fruition and indeed be realized for the sake of Rahman!

You are absolutely correct, what the mooslems dont understand is that George, Tony, and their like-minded globalist-elites are trying to protect them from us. we would approach this with a different agenda, an agenda that would protect the innocent's the world over.
But when the music stops playing woe and behold to those not able to sit down in a chair because then you will be standing out in the open unprotected.
Where is the spirit of Thomas Jefferson, JQ Adams or Teddy Roosevelt? Have all of our ancestors lived in vain by producing a progeny such as the present generation that hates itself more than its enemies who desire naught but its utter destruction?
As someone who voted for this man twice, it makes me sick to my stomach to see "dubyah" twisting and going wobbly all over this incredibly important issue. Abdul Rahman's human and conscious rights ARE CENTRAL in what is supposed to be going on in Afghanistan right now. His failing to see and take action regarding this is maddening.
To be honest, though, I didn't vote FOR him, but rather I couldn't see myself voting against him because of that big doofus JFKerry. He is many times worse.
If I told you once, I told you a million times...Bush is Mahdi...Look at all his M.E. activities and attitudes in that light. Who but Mahdi would be allowed to hold hands with, and even KISS a Saudi Muslim. He kicked Saddam out for Islam...he already has a vast army in Afghanistan and he has already ridden out to conquor the world...dont you think this is just a little 'too' coincidental. Dont expect Geo to be overly sympathetic to Rahman. I think Putins on to him, but Putin has his own problems...he thinks he's Mahdi also...yes, the Mahdi competition is heating up...dont discount that other lunar-tic from Korea, he's not a muslim but he would like to be Mahdi. Everybody wants to be Mahdi, but I think Bush may have the position tied up...

What I don't get is why so many people here totally despise Mike Moore, when his film 'Fahrenheit 9/11' pointed this out clearly and with a lot of documentary evidence.
OK, so you don't agree with everything he says - who even agrees with everything their freinds say?
If you haven't seen 'Fahrenheit 9/11' it really helps understand that Bush really is considered a good friend, even brother, by the Saudis.
For the last three years in Iraq, Christians have been mercilessly hounded, churches bombed and burnt, and Christians murdered. Christians asked for some protection from the coalition but were refused. Their concerns when the constitution of Iraq was being framed, were ignored. In fact they were ignored so much that they could not even vote.
Many Christians In Iraq have left for the West, and those unable to do so, have found sanctuary in Syria. Syria at this moment is a dictatorship. It is ironic that if the US and the UK now move on to Syria, liberate it and bring "democracy" to Syria, that last sanctuary for Christians in the ME, will close.

A good article well worth reading
Jack is a man of straw when Muslims talk of killing converts - By Charles Moore

This christian is only one of possable hundreds or thousands that are in the same boat every year, in the eight islam countrys that kill those who reject islam.
A focus on the big picture.
islam is the ememy.
I have said it many times, President G. W. Bush has SOLD YOU OUT for Muslim 'Saudi' money and power.
There are few worse dictatorships in the world but Bush has chosen to ignore Saudi Arabia's hand in attacking the west and it's values, including The USA. The Bush State Department is riddled with Muslim sympathizers and Saudi agents who care nothing about western freedoms and values.
What are the American people doing about it?
Absolutely Nothing!
You are reaping as you have sewn.
God save you all.
CD 'Bar' Baric
Many muslims in muslim countries are possibly muslim by default, because it's too hard and too dangerous to be anything else.
This is the way the mullahs like it, evil bastards that they are.
As physical rape is all about power this is the rape of minds.
For petes sake give the Pres. a break. He is the leader of the USA and as such must, as a responsible leader, use diplomatic language. Hyberbole has no place in language between nations. Make no mistake, the word is getting to these stone age but bright folks in Afgannie.
An example of diplomatic language might be; Russia could be told to take an aeronautical intercourse at a rotating, round and perforated pastry.
See, it's all in the wording.
to the poster above, with respect, consider the leader of Australia, Mr. Howard. He seems to be able to call a spade a spade with minimal diplomatic language. Is it hyperbole to ask and demand of the leader of the US that Freedom of religion is a prerequisite to our support, our rebuilding of their country, the continuing endless billions in reconstruction for the religion of peace who will only spit on us when we finally leave Kabul and Iraq. Jaundiced? You bet I am. I would also like the same diplomatic language applied to Iraq as well . . . namely make kabob or get off the spittle . . . ie put your puppet regime in order, request our leave, thanks, and, as we leave, let Allah sort it out. LOL, I wouldn't go so far for Bush to say, "let Allah sort it out." Remember the gipper??????? Commence bombing in five minutes Gipper??????? Where is he when we need him.
Bush does not believe in the separation of church an state in America, so why is it so strange that he doesn't support the separation of mosque and state in Afghanistan?
Those who believe that the American government is founded on religious principles (which usually means Judeo-Christian principles) can take one of two positions with respect to Afghanistan - The Afghans must be forced to convert to Christianity or the majority religious view must serve as the basis for civil government.
Bush obviously chose the latter.
When faith serves as the basis of government the result is inevitably tyranny. It really doesn't matter whether it is the Spanish Inquisition (Catholicism), the Caliphate (Islam), 1690's Salem (Calvinism), Nazi Germany (weird mixture of paganism, theosophy and Lutheranism), or Communist personality cults where leaders are worshipped as gods.
When reason is given second place to faith, there will be the Abdul Rahmans of the world being sentenced to die for their beliefs.
A successful government in Afghanistan must be entirely secular. If you read Iranian blogs you will see that the primary opposition to the tyranny of the mullahs is from people who are avowed secularists and believe that religion must be removed from all aspects of government. That is probably why Bush has not provided the Iranian opposition with any kind of support. Bush does not, and will not, support secularists.
