Anti-dhimmitude: Bereaved parents call on Oscars to drop suicide bomb movie

"Bereaved parents call on Oscars to drop suicide bomb movie," from The Telegraph, with thanks to Solomon, who has more details, including a petition you can sign:

The families of three Israeli teenagers who were killed in a suicide bombing are appealing to the organisers of the Oscars to drop a film from the nominations because they say it glorifies terrorism.

Paradise Now, a film about two friends from the West Bank who decide to carry out a joint suicide attack in Israel, will compete in the best foreign language category at Sunday's Academy Awards.

Sunday is also the third anniversary of a attack by terrorists on a bus in the northern Israeli town of Haifa, which killed 17 people and wounded 53 others.

Among the dead were Yuval Mendelvitch, a 13-year-old boy whose parents yesterday sent a petition to Sid Gains, the president of the Academy of Motion Pictures, calling for Paradise Now's nomination to be withdrawn.

They are supported by the parents of Tal Kehrmann, a 17-year-old girl, and Assaf Tzur, a 17-year-old boy, who were among the dead.

Yossi Mendelvitch described the controversial film, which follows the two would-be bombers as they prepare to carry out their attack, as "dangerous propaganda". His petition will be presented in Los Angeles on Friday.

Hollywood is in bed with the terrorist, you know free speech when it does not harm themselves of course!

I'm not surprised by Hollywood's love affair with terrorists. It's all about fame and trendy politics. To Hollywood-types, terrorists are celebrities, and their victims are just statistics, nobodies.

The maker of the movie has settled down in the Hollywood Hills (apparently quite at home, with all the coarseness and stupidity and that crass American "materialism" that is supposed to be so antipathetic to Islam and to Muslims, with their higher and "spiritual" values, as some Western converts, quick to confuse Muhammad the grabber of loot with the Gautama in his most meditative moments, like to think.

He, that director, has within the last two days given an interview claiming that he would like very much, in the spirit of Aziz Tamimmi the admiring friend of John Esposito, to be a suicide bomber himself.

If he is given a prize, one may deplore it. One may also choose, for a long time, to express that deploring by not -- simply not -- going to any movies made in the past year, taking special care to select those that were successful at the Oscars along with this propaganda movie.

Imagine "Jude Suss" being nominated for an Oscar back when it was made with the enthusiastic support of Joseph Goebeels, and you will have some idea of the enormity of this offense, and the need to punish -- in the only way, I repeat, that is now understood (the denial of money, of one's custom, of an audience, of gigs) -- everyone who did not stop it.

My heart goes out to these parents. But I fear that they are mistaken in thinking an appeal to conscience will move these Hollywood pimps. However, as the muslims have proven, they do respond to threats of violence. Stephen Gaghan made a move sympathetic to hamas after being driven around in the back seat of car with their "spiritual advisor". A better tact might be for these bereaved parents to take a chapter from the "Godfather", and hire some "swarthy men from Brooklyn" to make these 2-bit whores an offer they can't refuse.

Hey, look at the bright side. Hollywood goes Islamic. A Shaheed does tinsel town. He's establishing a beachhead to the lust and joy of the 'in' crowd. I'm simply overjoyed, and I think Hamas and Iran are simply poory understood. What's needed is to export our pictures to them. How about a screening of Brokeback Mountain to the leaders of Hamas, or Iran? This may cause the brothers to shuck the Koran and become multicultural, with a new respect for the infedal. Actually it could be a double feature . . . followed by Schindler's List.

How about a dhimmitude Oscars? Better still, an Islamic Oscars!!! The Turkish thriller about the naughty Jewish surgeon and nutty American soldier, harrasing arabs to and fro. Then, of course, Paradise Now.

What's ironic of course is that "Hollywood" is often used as code word by anti-Semites for the "Zionist-controlled media." Here "Hollywood" is trying to show how fair-handed it is.

At the bottom of the offical Oscar web site, you will find a link to send an e-mail ( just in case the link below does not work )
Flood the Oscar in box with e-mails. I have sent mine!

Its not about the innocents who were vaporized on the bus, its about the message, and the message of this movie is meant to convey how Evil Zionist™ crimes force palestinians to commit mass murder.

Oh sure a few Israeli kids were scattered across the landscape, but thats nothing compared to the crimes that Evil Zionists™ commit everyday in their zeal to oppress the brave pals.

This film will be showing at the U.N. headquarters private theatre by the end of next week, all the fashionable appeasers will be there. Burn an Israeli flag on the U.N. steps and admission is half-price.

Muhaha;
Spoken like a true jihadist. You think that after September 11th, 2001 that "We the People" give a flying fart about why Islamofeces blow themselves up? In my opinion, that one less Islamofeces that the Free World has to deal with. But yet, Islamofeces love to spread the misery. They can blow themselves to their virgins peacefully. They've got to do it on a public street, train ststion at the height of morning rush hour, a restuarant, party, or a crowded bus.
If you like this trash of a movie, it's your right to do so. But don't throw it in the faces of those of us that were the victims of such barbarism. The Hollyweird left may have forgotten September 11th, 2001, but the real Americans haven't.

Biorabbi:

What about a MEMRI/Palestinian Media Watch film festival with Brigitte Gabriel, Noni Darwish and Walid Shoebat as the joint hosts?

As Mel at Solomonia put it well in covering this campaign to rescind the Oscar nomination (which won't happen; the film already took a Golden Globe, didn't it), Paradise Now paints a romantic view of suicide bombers -- poor guys who just can't take another day of humiliation at the hands of the Jews; the actual "farewell" videos of the "shadids" who know nothing about resolving anything through political means.

The reality that MEMRI and PMW persent us with in their translations of print and televised content from the middle east is that terrorists are not born of the "occupation", but rather an organized religion, media and education system that has been in high gear for decades to produce exactly the incredibly poisoned climate required to cultivate suicide bombers.

I'm glad the Oscars and the Golden Globes are starting to be recognized as the propaganda tools for the Useful Idiots that they are.

I hope this horrible wins so that people can see what a horrible institute the Academy has turned into. Hollywood has always been politically to the left, if they hand paradise now the oscar they have nowhere to hide. Hollywoods influence on politics hopefully will then fade.

I have no intention of seeing the film (i.e. giving them money) if it truly glorifies terrorism. On the other hand, a film that showed the mentality of these people without glorifying their actions could be helpful. Most of the Rottentomatoes.com reviews seemed positive, and the reviewers very ignorant of jihad watch issues.

Has someone here actually seen it and can do a synopsis so we know what we're talking about?

So, if someone sneaked into the Academy Awards wearing a [fake] suicide vest under their cummerbund and took some [thereby essentially fake] Hollywood hostages to protest this film, that would be fine by Academy standards, and by the twisted logic of this terrorism-promoting film?

Interesting....

Anarchy, Mayhem, Intimidation and Savagery.

Four new agents in La-La Land.

Very interesting...

It would never work as a movie...(too hokey)...

-but as Reality t.v., it could have a shot.

But you see all those Jooos who were blown up -- they were just joos! At least to Hollywood - they weren't worth much. But fart in the direction of one Koran and ther's hell to pay.

These are the same 'brave outspoken people who speak truth to power' who are terrified of showing the Mo cartoons.....

I really feel for the parents of the victims who have to watch these asswhipes glorify murderers.

Yediot Ahranot ran an interview with Abu-Assad a couple of days ago whre he says that he would be a suicide bomber given the opportunity:

Boycott not just the films, but the *movie theaters* that show these pro-terror films...boycott them for an extended period beyond the run of the film...
these self-indulgent twits then might understand that when one puts profits before principles profits may suffer...

Another sad day in humanity.

Do note that Jewish Israelis (Amir Hayel, Bero Beyer) are among the co-producers of the film.
