Christian convert facing death in Kabul provides a rude awakening

In "Anger over Christian convert in Kabul who faces death" from the TimesOnline (thanks to Sr. Soph), one "human rights expert" notes that the Afghan Constitution refers to the authority of Sharia, but it also mentions the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Now it is beginning to dawn on some of the learned analysts which one trumps which.

Meanwhile, the Right Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, who leads the Church of England’s dialogue with Islam, is "amazed" that this could be happening. Is this what our troops are in Afghanistan to protect? Good question. Excellent question.

ABDUL RAHMAN, a 41-year-old Afghan, was a Muslim for 25 years before he began working for an international Christian group helping his fellow countrymen in Pakistan. Within a couple of years he had converted to Christianity.

Fourteen years later, the decision may cost him his life....

Mr Rahman’s case is shaping up as a trial of strength between Afghanistan’s religious conservatives and reformers. “The constitution says Islam is the religion of Afghanistan, yet it also mentions the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Article 18 specifically forbids this kind of recourse,” one human rights expert said in Kabul last night. “It really highlights the problem the judiciary faces.”

News of his plight is likely to cause outrage in predominantly Christian countries such as Britain and America, whose troops are fighting to free Afghanistan from the religious zealotry of the Taleban.

The Bishop of Rochester, the Right Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, who leads the Church of England’s dialogue with Islam, told The Times: “I’m amazed that the constitution that has been agreed in post-Taleban Aghanistan under the very eyes of the international community should allow this kind of thing to take place — for a person to be arrested for having been converted 14 years ago and to be threatened with execution simply for his beliefs.

“The British Army in Afghanistan is losing soldiers there through injury and death. Is the Army there to uphold this kind of thing? I thought we were there to promote democracy and freedom.”

Alan Simpson, Labour MP for Nottingham South, told The Times: “We are asked to believe that in Afghanistan we are defending a more secular and democratic state when in fact the likes of Abdul Rahman face the death penalty. What sort of democracy are we defending? All reports suggest that the Taleban are coming in through the back door and their views through the front door. Hamid Karzai (the Afghan President) needs to be told that this absurdity must stop.”

Indeed he does. Who will have the guts to tell him that? Why has this happened in the first place? Because no one in Washington was all that concerned about the Sharia provision in the Afghan Constitution. After all, Islam is a religion of peace! And the learned analysts were falling all over themselves to assure them that Sharia was nothing to worry about.

Now people are beginning to see why it was a matter of concern after all.

For what it's worth, last evening the plight of Abdul Rahman was reported on during a segment of the local 10:00 pm news in the Dayton, Ohio viewing area.

Has anyone seen any reports of this story on network news? I havn't, but then I no longer rely on the networks for news coverage.

"ABDUL RAHMAN, a 41-year-old Afghan, was a Muslim for 25 years before he began working for an international Christian group (ICG) helping his fellow countrymen in Pakistan. Within a couple of years he had converted to Christianity".

I cannot agree with the death sentence...that's just barmy.

I also think it's sick that his family dobbed him in....but you cannot hang with the same rope as the guilty.

And I do ask myself "why did he convert"? The ICG had obviously been bending his ear somewhat? What did they threaten him with? A man having 25years of Islam would not *willingly* convert.

Now they have put his life in danger. Obviously democracy is someway off in Afganistan....

From now on the ICG must have minimal contact or their policy must not include lessons in conversion or comparisons of faith ...particularly with the womens....this simply makes Islam look bad.....and there's no need for that.

Salam

Great faiths don't suffer by comparisons, they shine brighter.

it is illegal to be a Christian and it should be punished.”
~Notice he didn't say it is illegal to convert, but to even be one.

Naseem,

I don't post here often, but please tell me you're kidding when you say that this man couldn't possibly have converted willingly. You believe he was threatened? Sweetie, that's not how Christianity works. That's not how any legitimate religion works. That's only how the Cult of Islam works.

This brave man converted because he saw the light. He saw the truth. He saw that yes, there really is a God, and that He is not the God that your murderous, pedophile of a prophet proclaims Him to be. 25 years of the nasty, filthy, and heinous ways of Islam was all the brave man could take. It was 25 years too many.

-The blasphemy laws are discriminatory, as they only serve to protect Islam. Under Section 298-A, if one uses derogatory language about any of Mohammed's wives or family members, one can get a three year jail sentence.

298-B of the penal code directly discriminates against the Ahmadi or Ahmadiyyah sect of Muslims, who are widely viewed as heretics, and are banned from entering Mecca:

Misuse of epithet, descriptions and titles, etc. Reserved for certain holy personages or places.
1 Any person of the Qadiani group or the Lahori group (who call themselves Ahmadis or by any other name) who by words, either spoken or written or by visible representation:

a) refers to or addresses, any person, other than a Caliph or companion of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), as "Ameerul Momneen", "Khalifat-ul-Momneen", "Khalifat-ul-Muslimeen", "Sahaabi" or "Razi Allah Anho";
b) Refers to or addresses, any person, other than a wife of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), as Ummul-Mumineen;
c) refers to, or addresses, any person, other than a member of the family (Ahle-Bait) of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), as Ahle-Bait; or
d) refers to, or names, or calls, his place of worship as Masjid;
shall be punished with imprisonment or either description for a term which may extend to three years, and shall also be liable to fine.
2 Any person of the Qadiani group or Lahore group, (who call themselves Ahmadis or by any other names), who by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representations, refers to the mode or from of call to prayers followed by his faith as "Azan" or redites Azan as used by the Muslims, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.
Section 298-C states that no Ahmadi or Ahmadiyya can call him or herself a Muslim, nor can they preach or propagate their faith. To do so can lead to a fine and a prison term of three years.

The draconian blasphemy laws were introduced in 1986.

-According to this Naseem you would go to jail. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy about your country and your faith, doesn't it.

A man having 25years of Islam would not *willingly* convert.

These two brothers would disagree with that.

Members of the 101st Airborne should just drop into that court-proceeding and remove the Christian to the safety of a U.S. Military base, and then give him safe conduct to the United States if need be.

But, of course, I've watched too many John Wayne movies. Justice only happens in Westerns, not in real life.

Borg,

We are not talking about Ahmadis...on this thread only christians & muslims.

I have already been to Mecca when I was in the UK & probably will never go again (it's too bloody dangerous anyways).

I am a dual national...and I agree things are/could become difficult for me & my family ....I hope that Allah will see us through & get those ridiculous laws changed.

I mean I love the light of Islam...so here's hoping! I can connect directly with Allah from where I am....I don't need the kabah for that.

But thank you for being concerned....

A man having 25years of Islam would not *willingly* convert.~ Posted Above

The message of the Gospel is that powerful, and not only do they covert, they now willingly lay their own life down for such belief.

Austria: Muslim Soldiers Refuse to Salute Flag
From the desk of Paul Belien on Tue, 2006-03-21 13:18

Last week three Muslim conscripts of the Austrian army refused to salute the Austrian flag because this was incompatible with their faith. The Austrian paper Die Presse (18 March) reported that three soldiers of the Maria Theresia barracks, where most of the 1,000 Muslim soldiers serve, refused to salute the flag at a parade and instead turned their backs on it. The soldiers were not disciplined. However, an imam was summoned to issue a fatwa stating that Muslims are allowed to salute the Austrian flag.

Austrian Army officers have complained that Muslim conscripts – about 3.5% of the Austrian armed forces – are unable to do most jobs because they have permission to pray 5 times a day, no matter what job they are performing at the time. Some who attend Friday Prayers stay away for the rest of the day.

Following the incident the Austrian defense minister Günther Platter announced that the army will engage imams as permanent chaplains in order to mediate future conflicts. Die Presse suggests that it would be better to follow the example of the Austrian police and appoint Muslim officers to command Muslim recruits

The muslim legal system (if you can call it that) which relates to other religions attempts to stop all access to opposing views. One word describes why this is necessary: FEAR. Fear of the masses leaving islam for a more tolerant life. Fear the imams power base would convert and leave him powerless. Any clown can claim the title of imam they don’t take a test and they don’t all agree on one meaning for any of the ancient texts. This is the primary cause of centuries of infighting, 73 sects all claiming only they understand what the ol mo wanted of them. I love asking muslims about other muslims because they always fall back on “They are not true muslims” and “they follow a false (this sometimes changes), yada, yada yada. Reality would make anyone question why a being as powerful as allah would need a human to act on his behalf. Also, why would he pick a language (Arabic) to spread his word when muslims the world over claim it can’t be translated and leads us to misunderstand it’s teachings. This claim is especially stupid as 80% of the worlds muslims can not read arabic, but who says it has to make sense. Fear of the truth, fear to face a believer of another religion, fear their way is not the only or best way. Take the hint people, each time you see one of these stories about islam attempting to place limits on other religions, peoples or free speech, email it to everyone on your buddy list, your local newspapers and local politicians. Our greatest weapon against islam is the truth, that is also it’s biggest fear. No threats are needed, no violence just watch the news and help spread the truth, muslims given enough rope will always hang themselves.

Naseem says she loves the light of islam. There is no light in islam. It's a dark seamy cult. It offers no sanctuary, no hope and no future.

No need to assume anything about the Right Revererend Michael Nazir-Al.

Bar,

I am always looking for some "simple" ways to explain our sturggle to my son of thirteen years. Sometimes I forget that he's thirteen and he can't grasp the highly complicated aspects of the issues.

You helped me tremendously with this:

A Christian martyr says “I will die for what I believe”

A Moslem martyr says “You will die for what I believe”

Thank you.

So where are the UN Human Rights Council people now?

Those who are so keen to protect freedom of religion and fight against "xenophobia" and "insult to religion"?

Louis Arbour? Doudou Diene? Anyone? Anyone?

Any protests? Special reports on the situation of religious freedom and human rights in Afganistan?

No? Oh, they are probably too busy with "islamophobia" in Denmark.

Or perhaps killing someone for his religious beliefs is not an "insult to religion", but drawing pictures of a supposed prophet is...

Thanks, Dave. I sent my e-mail and passed the link on to everyone I know.

Went to the web site for the Afghanistan Embassy in Washigton, DC.

The email link has been disabled. Coincidence or the will of Allah?

If you wish to write a snail mail to His Excellency Said T. Jawad, Ambassador to the United States, his address is as follows:

Afghanistan Embassy

Washington, DC 20008

Perhaps Naseem will be kind enough to write the Ambassador to the UK. Tell him/her that she doesn't want to see Abdul Rahman put to death if for no other reason then to do so rather puts the lie to the allegation that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance.

BTW Naseem, you have yet to express an opinion: Should Abdul Rahaman be spared a prison sentence if he is not put to death? The question can be answered with a simple Yes or No.

omvi,

Go to the following URL; the e-mail link there works just fine.

Naseem;
I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you that the light of Islam is darkness to God. There is not way that Father God would allow anyone to be forced into serving Him. Only the angel of light Lucifer/Satan does that. The Bible tells us "There is a way that seems right to a man, but that the of it is destruction." Muhammad the mad, murderous, pedeophile, false prophet forced men and women to choose Islam or death. Intimidation is the way of the angel of light. Not Father God's. With Christianity, we have a choice, eat from the tree of life or eat from the tree of the knowlegde of good and evil. Islam falls under the tree of the knowlegde of good and evil. Man doing things his way. And trying to force others to agree with him. To me it is better to die for Christianity than to live under Islam. Besides, Muslims are apt to die under Islam anyway with all of the homicide bombers killing themselves for nothing, and taking innocent lives with them. Christians only have to abide by the Ten Commandments given to ALL MEN!!! by Father God.
The Afghan government has placed itself inbetween the proverbal rock and hard place with this morally unlawful act of placing this man on trial merely because of a change of heart.
If Islam is so great, why all of the calls for death by the koran? Islam should be able to stand on it's own merit. Islam should be able to with stand scrutiny. Islam should not have to condemn to death those that leave it. The Bible has never called for the death of those that leave it's teachings. Our Good Sheperd, Jesus, instructs Bible believers to " clean the dust of that city from your feet and leave in PEACE!" Not call for jihad. I have studied Islam myself and almost converted, but thanks be to Father God I didn't.
Bro. Abdul Rahman saw the difference between Allah and Father God. They are NOT one and the same. Allah calls for the death of all non-believers. Father God calls all to the repentance of sin. Allah calls for the punishment of sin. Father God calls for all to seek Him for the forgiving of sin.
You see Naseem, God is not the author of confusion. Nor is He double-minded, or bipolar in His way of thinking. Only if Allah and Father God were the same would this be the case. Bro Abdul Rahman had this evidence placed before him and made a life changing decision. And if Bro. Abdul Rahman is willing to face the death sentence, as called for by Islamic law, for his choice, that should say something about Christianity in comparision to Islam.

It seems the Austrians have succeeded where the mohammedans have not, creating a home-grown publicly funded and armed mohammedan police squad, and then thinking about doing the same with a regiment of their army by having mohammdan officers command mohammedan rookies.
Perhaps we should take comfort in the knowledge that Austria(or Austria-Hungary)hasn't won a war since the late 18th century.
But what the hell are mohammedans doing in Austria, are they there for the skiing, the wine, the beer,to take back the coffee they left in 1683?
Betcha they're so-called Bosnians.

Thank you quietwatcher.

Naseem: Still waiting for a response...

Ironman~ Again, I have to ask. How could you almost convert to a religion that calls for the death of non-believers? What was the attraction and what stopped you? I am always curious about this.

This is a long copy and paste post, but please bear with me as it is the press release from the Barnabas Fund which I have just received and which I don't believe is on their website yet.

AFGHANISTAN

21 March 2006

AFGHAN CHRISTIAN FACES DEATH SENTENCE IF HE WILL NOT RETURN TO ISLAM

Abdul Rahman (41) converted from Islam to Christianity at least 14 years ago. He is now on trial in Kabul charged with rejecting Islam. The prosecutor says that if he returns to Islam the charges will be dropped, but if he is found guilty he will be executed: "We are Muslims and becoming a Christian is against our laws. He must get the death penalty." The judge has also stated that Mr Rahman faces the death penalty if he refuses to revert to Islam as shari'a [Islamic law] proposes capital punishment for
any Muslim who converts to another religion.

Abdul Rahman was denounced to the police last month by his family, with whom he was in dispute over the custody of his two daughters. He has
refused to renounce his faith, despite the threat of execution. He is being held in Kabul Central Prison, one of 50 prisoners in a cell built for 15. Most prisoners have food brought to them by their families, but Mr Rahman's family do not visit him.

AFGHANISTAN'S CONSTITUTION

The death sentence for adult male Muslims who abandon their faith is agreed by all schools of shari'a. Afghanistan's 2004 constitution states that "no law can be contrary to the beliefs and provisions of the sacred religion of Islam" (Article 3) thus affirming that apostasy from Islam is punishable by death. On the other hand, the constitution's preamble affirms that the people of Afghanistan will respect the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which in Article 18 guarantees the freedom to change one's religion.

Non-Muslim Afghans who have never been Muslims have a measure of freedom in that they are permitted to "exercise their faith and perform their religious rites within the limits of the provisions of the law" (Article 2). This applies to Afghan Hindus, Sikhs and the one remaining member of Afghanistan's Jewish community. But it does not apply to Afghan Christians (or other non-Muslims) who have chosen to convert from Islam. [1]

A TEST CASE

The trial of Abdul Rahman is the first of its kind since the fall of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan in 2001. In 2004 five Afghan converts from Christianity were murdered either for apostasy from Islam or for spreading their faith. It is reported that other converts who have been formally charged by the authorities have renounced their faith in the face of the
death penalty. This means that Abdul Rahman's case is the first time that Afghanistan's ambiguous constitution will be tested. It will set a precedent for the treatment of other converts from Islam to Christianity.

The judge of the Primary Court has said he will rule on the case within two months. If found guilty, Abdul Rahman will be able to appeal to the Provincial Court and the Supreme Court. The execution order would have to be signed by President Hamid Karzai.

WRITE TO YOUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE

Please write to your elected representative to ask for urgent representations to be made to the Afghan government on behalf of Abdul Rahman. Point out that the Afghan constitution says that Afghanistan will respect the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights which
guarantees the freedom to change one's faith. However if Abdul Rahman is sentenced to death this would be a clear violation of the Declaration.
Point out that Christians and those of other faiths throughout the world can freely convert to Islam without fear of punishment, and ask for
reciprocal freedom to be given to Afghanistan's Muslims who want to leave their faith. Urge that implementing the Islamic law of apostasy, with its death sentence for adult male Muslims who convert to another religion, is
unacceptable in the twenty-first century.

It is most effective to be polite, brief and use your own words. If you do not know who your elected representative is or how to contact him or her, please refer to the Right to Justice website [2] which sets out information
for those in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand.

OUTRAGE THAT IS LONG OVERDUE

Dr Patrick Sookhdeo, International Director of Barnabas Fund, comments, "This case is rightly causing outrage in the West. What I would like to emphasise is that the death sentence for apostasy is part of mainstream Islam and always has been since the seventh century. In three of the schools of shari'a it is applied to women apostates as well as to men. An outpouring of indignation and protest on this issue from those who enjoy religious liberty in the West is long overdue. I call on political leaders and church leaders to take up the cause of Muslims who choose to embrace another faith. To pretend that freedom of conscience is not an issue in
our modern world is a scandalous evasion of moral responsibility. In the face of Abdul Rahman's plight, those who have for a long time refused to accept the implications of Islam's apostasy law can surely do so no longer.

"Islam is a religion which is very active in seeking to make converts. It MUST change and learn to grant freedom to Muslims to convert to another faith without penalty. In the twenty-first century Islam can no longer continue to be a one-way street, which people may enter but can never leave.

"The kind of injustice which Abdul Rahman is suffering is one of the principle reasons for Barnabas Fund's new campaign "The Right to Justice". I urge Christians and all people of goodwill to sign our petition which calls for justice for Christian minorities [2]. Then please write to your MP, congressman or other elected representative about his case. Please
pass this message on to as many people as you can. And please pray."

PRAYER ITEMS

* Pray that Abdul Rahman will be strengthened and comforted by the Lord Jesus and that his faith will not waver. As an apostate from Islam he is likely to be facing abuse from the Muslims he shares a crowded prison cell with. It is not known how he is eating, as his family will not bring him food. The prison authorities will not allow him access to the Western press who want to interview him.

* Pray that, despite pressure from Islamic extremists, Abdul Rahman will not be sentenced to death, and that this precedent will allow other Afghan converts from Islam to Christianity to live freely and safely in their homeland.

Naseem-

You will not have to be concerned about what you call "sluts" in this beauty contest....

http://www.annaqed.com/english/cartoons/beauty_pageant.html

I am not a Christian, but that is besides the point. I just wrote the Embassy of Afghanistan to let them know that we as Americans are very angry about this, and that if this Afghanistani government allows the prosecution of a man merely for renouncing Islam for Christianity, we will put immense pressure on our Congress and President to cut all forms of aid going to Afghanistan. We are NOT going to put up with our hard-earned dollars going to aid a fledgling government that executes Christians. Period.

We as Americans have immense power and need to start using it with regards to aid to Islamic governments. Cutting aid to a Hamas-led Palestine is a good start, but it doesn't end there.

Well done guiltfree.

Naseem: Still waiting for a response...

Now is the time for the cartoon of Mohammad with a sword saying return to Islam or off with your head and and then how can the muslims riot? It is the truth . Come on editors do your comic for Rahman lifes sake.

Naseem -

Oh dear - this is exactly what I would expect to hear from someone who has spent their entire life under the thumb of Islam.

Why did he leave Islam? You really don't know? I think the clues you're searching for lie in one of your own posts, Naseem, so I'm surprised you can't figure this one out.

Above you stated that you didn't agree with the death sentence (first clue), and that you couldn't believe his own family turned him in (second clue).

And those clues were from your first post - your second post has even MORE clues.....

You yourself said you would never go back to Mecca because it was "too bloody" and "dangerous". Does that help solve the mystery?

Omvi....don't be silly.

The man should be asked why he converted...learn from his experiences...and then set him free. He has no case to answer...other than provide an explanation.

Champ...don't be a chump. Islam if embraced wholeheartly will set you free. It's just that people scratch at the surface & turn away.

Jilbabs are comfortable, well decorated...westerners turn away from them ...why?

Not being able to go to Mecca is not a problem with Islam...it's a problem created by the Paki government. They can remove those poxy huddod laws as simply as they added them in.

Don't worry about them. In general Islamic women are a happy lot living structured lives. Come & join...it's easy.

peace

"Don't worry about them. In general Islamic women are a happy lot living structured lives. Come & join...it's easy."

I live across the road from a small farm. Dozen or so cows usually grazing where I can see them from the kitchen window. They look like a happy lot too, living structured lives . Chew your cud well Nas, wouldn't want you to choke on it.

Borg;
I'm glad that you asked. As a young Black youth growing up in America, I was faced with a lot of oposition due to my skin color. Growing up in the 60s was not easy. Martin Luther King jr. was at the time calling on all blacks to stand up and be counted. Fight for your rights and dignity as a man. I watched the news on television as a young child and saw how blacks were treated in this country. Black marchers being water hosed and little black children armed with signs having dogs set upon them. It never dawned on me that I to was black because as a child, I never saw the difference between black and white. I just knew wrong when I saw it. I even went to school with white children. I never noticed the difference in the color of our skin. That was until My mom went shopping in a white neighborhood. Five white children called me nigger and tried to attack me with a baseball bat. It was then for the first time that I knew the the difference between black and white people.
Plus my church didn't make things any better. I was born and raised in the Church of God in Christ. And a lot of those old church goers were totally against any kind of sports, games, or anything that they saw as evil. Imagine being allowed to do nothing but go to church. You cuoldn't play basketball, baseball, football, hockey (yes, I played hockey.)or any kind of board games. But my mother was not the conventional wisdom type of person. She went against church doctrine and did not let it stop her children from playing these games. My mother did allow us to do the things that normal children did. But she also put a big importance on her children being able to read and write and speak correct english. And because I could read so well, I ran across history books. During the 70s I found the Nation of Islam. Then it was lead by Elijah Muhammad. His teachings were what caused me to study more about the "Nation." In his book, "Message to the Blackman in America," Elijah Muhammad pointed out that the whiteman was the devil. Plus the liberals teaching of Afro-American History in the grammar schools helped to make this a more believable point. The fact that the American slaves were kidnapped from Africa and forced into slavery also made it easy to believe that Islam was the original religion of the "so called Blackman!" This also made it easy to hate white people. This was the appeal that caused me to concider Islam. Learning about how the newly freed slaves were terroristed by whitemen in sheets. Lynching, tar and feathering, and flogging black people for any little thing like being black.
But yet, something inside of me would not just let me openly hate whites. I had gone to school with whites for so long, I just could not do it. I had friends that were of the Caucasian persuasion. But I continued to hang on to what I had learned from both my church roots and from what I had learned from the "Nation" and Afro-American history. I got angry at what I precieved as prejudice and racism, but then one day I wasn't black enough.
Because of all of the social set aside programs that were started by the liberals in government, I wasn't black enough because I didn't have a prison record, wasn't hooked on drugs, wasn't an alcoholic, or come from a home that impoverished. My parents made TOO MUCH MONEY. Thus I didn't qualify for the government programs. The "Nation" prepared me for discrimination, but not for reverse discrimination. I found more Blackmen ready to hurt me than help me. It was then that I returned to my roots, the church. I still held on to the black pride thing. Even during my four years of service to my country.
My rejection of Islam came when I was in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1986. As a Marine I was assigned to a NATO detachment on training excercises with other NATO countries. The threat then was communist agression. I and a few fellow service members were out on a night on the town on port call in Copenhagan. At one of the night spots, we met up with some very beautiful Danish woman. We then went to a discotique. We wanted to dance and made our way to the dance floor. Our way was impeded by a group of Muslim males. They objected to our being there. They allowed the woman on to the dance floor, but offered storng resistance to our going on the floor. We managed to reach our female company on the dance floor. But then we had to go back off of the floor. Once again we met with resistance. Only this time we were physically accosted. They elbowed us as we left the dance floor. I recieved an elbow shot to my kidney. Just as I was about to defend myself against the unprovoked attack, my corporal stopped me and reminded me that we were invited guests of the Danish government. But as members of the military, we were not granted diplomatic immunity. He stated that if I persisted to further defend myself against the youthful Islamofeces that I run the risk of causing an international incident. You see, it was then that I realized that we in America may see black and white Americans. But oversaes, the enemy only sees AMERICANS!!! These Islamofeces didn't care if I had been studying Islam or not. They saw my haircut as a military style haircut and saw that I was an AMERICAN servicemember. They hated me for that. Nothing more, nothing less.
My later years would prove to be the times that I would totally move into the conservative mindset that I have today. Causing me to accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior and to preach the Good News. Thus my total rejection of Islam. My ministry has taken my into a deeper study of all false religions and out of all of them, Islam is the most dangerous.
To be honest Borg, it was Jesus that brought me back to myself. I give Him all of the credit. I no longer see black and white people. Just people. I now preach against Islam, Calypso Louis Farrakhanaman, Jesse "Jackass" Jackson, and Al "Slim Shady" Sharpton. This causes me to come at odds with other blacks and liberal whites, but I know deep within my heart from my personal experience that Islam is evil and will mean the destruction of the world if not stopped. Multiculturalism is the tool that is being used to bring this to pass. I know from personal experience that Muslims will never live with the civilized world as equals. Islam must have total domination. That is the nature of this beast..! Naseem and all of the other Muslims that frequent this site are so disalutioned about their own religion that they can't defend the ones that are practicing true Islam. I learned the hard way about true Islam in 1986. And got a refresher on September 11th, 2001.

"And the learned analysts were falling all over themselves to assure them that Sharia was nothing to worry about"

This "learned analyst", Stephen Schwartz, is not so learned. He states in his article that Jewish law (halacha) is based on Sharia (Islamic law). Totally untrue. Halacha was developed thousands of years before Islam was ever heard of. In fact, I found it interesting that inputs to the Talmud (written compilation of Jewish law and other material, which had only been compiled in writing in the 2nd-3rd c CE because of concerns about being able to hand down the teachings orally) stopped shortly before the time Mohammed began his career. This of course is an approximation. The fact is however, that Mr Schwartz' statement is a complete inversion of history. I would consider that a large red flag for believing or even accepting with a grain of salt his statements and opinions.
