Release of Christian convert condemned by Afghan MPs

This only highlights the fact that the release of Abdul Rahman has done nothing to solve the larger problem of Sharia in the Afghan Constitution. From Reuters, with thanks to JE:

Members of the Afghan parliament condemned the release of a man who denied Islam, insisting on Wednesday he should not be allowed to leave the country, as Italy appeared ready to offer him asylum.

Abdur Rahman, 41, was jailed this month for converting to Christianity, and could have faced trial under Islamic sharia law stipulating death as punishment for apostasy or departure from original religion.

He was freed from prison on Monday after pressure from Western countries whose troops helped bring the Afghan government to power.

"The release of Abdur Rahman was contrary to the existing laws of Afghanistan," Yunus Qanuni, president of the lower house of parliament, told the assembly during an unscheduled debate on the case.

"Abdur Rahman should not flee and should not be allowed to leave Afghanistan ... he should be kept under supervision," he said.

"Abdur Rahman should not flee and should not be allowed to leave Afghanistan ... he should be kept under supervision," he said.

"And his head kept under my bed" he muttered.

What lovely people.

The Vampires did not get their blood. They WANT their blood!

The only reason I can think of that he is not allowed to leave is because they want him dead. Shocking! I pray for his safety.

Abdul Rahman may have been "released" but he is free only in the most technical meaning of that word. He is not a free and will always be subject to beheading by any pious muslim.

Britain for instance has hundreds of thousands of muslim fanatics who will gladly dispense islamic justice to Abdul Rahman. I hope Mr Rahman will consider this before applying to Britain. Britain is not safe for Mr Rahman or any muslim apostate.

Release of Abdul Rahman or not, the Apostasy law of islam still stands. Tens of millions of ex-muslims are being held in bondage at the point of a sword, by a religion in which their is reportedly "No compulsion". As long as this law stands, Abdul Rahman and tens of millions like him, are never going to be released from their ever present danger; they will never be free, they will be slaves in bondage - slaves of islam in the 21st century.

My heart goes out to these people and to many other muslims who do wish to be part of this kingdom of slaves that is islam. They have been ignored and their bondage applauded by the likes of Prince Charles, Bush and Blair and the MSM, leaving them no alternative. It is as if we in the West, praised the system of the Gulag as a benevolent system. Amazing.

Abdul, ditch the "muslim" look, even if you're not anymore. You don't need to blend in with them anymore. Shave. Wax your eyebrows. Wear pants. It's not about vanity. It's about survival.

to 3812Michelle: Don't worry. He is going to live in Italy. My Italian cugini will have him wearing Milan's latest style and cruising in a Lamborghini in no time.

The amazing thing about all this is people are behaving as if the criminal charges filed against Abdul Rahman --- righteous and in accord with the will of that lowdown pimp the Koranic God --- is somehow an anomaly.

Can the press possibly be that ignorant to amply apparent truth? Or are they just that dishonest?
