Roommate told FBI of Moussaoui's interest in jihad

Keystone Kops Alert from AP (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist). Is it possible that the FBI didn't take this seriously because they knew, after all, that Islam was a religion of peace, and assumed that Moussaoui was just a lone crackpot who couldn't possibly be mixed up in anything serious?

ALEXANDRIA, Va. An F-B-I agent says confessed al-Qaida terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui (zak-uh-REE'-uhs moo-SOW'-ee) told a former roommate that Muslims had the right to kill non-believers.

Jurors in Moussaoui's death penalty trial today will see a videotaped deposition from a man who was rooming with Moussaoui in August 2001 when he was arrested.

An F-B-I agent who arrested Moussaoui questioned his roommate. He says the man told him that Moussaoui often talked about holy war and believed Muslims were within their rights to kill infidels. The roommate also said Moussaoui once told him that Osama bin Laden was an important person.

"F-B-I"?

Akin to that sentence in "For Esme, With Love and Squalor" about someone "with all her f-a-c-u-l-t-i-e-s intact"?

So what's new?

EVERYONE knows that Islam means "peace". NOT.

EVERYONE knows that atrocities committed in the name of Islam are perpetrated by a "tiny minority" that "hijacks" the peaceful teachings of the Qur'an. NOT.

EVERYONE knows that all we have to do is pay proper "respect" to this "religion" and all OUR problems will, miraculously, end. NOT.

Blair:

"This is not a clash between civilizations, it is a clash about civilization"

followed up with...

"'We' is not the West. 'We' are as much Muslim as Christian or Jew or Hindu. 'We' are those who believe in religious tolerance, openness to others, to democracy, liberty and human rights administered by secular courts," he will say.

moo- SOW -ee:

Muslims (are) within their rights to kill infidels

It's all so clintonian -- denial, denial, denial. "It tis; it tain't"

Ironically, these two jokers are saying the same things really -- the only thing that changes is the verbage and the fact that they are both seeking global domination but from opposing directions.

___

President Bush does not understand this.

What percent of the Bush Administration understands this?? Any at all????

We are at war with Islam and our federal government refuses to recognize this even after 3,000 Americans and others that died on 9/11.

This mentality existed pre-WWII with the failure to recognize Nazi German and Japan as physical threats to America. Pearl Harbor was the result.

9/11 occurred because our federal government has failed to recognize Islam as a threat to America. Islamic terrorism can only exist with support by Muslims in America and across the world.

It will probably take Islamic WMD's and nukes to awaken America and our federal government.

How sad.

The Texican.
Freedom, the only choice at any cost.

In the days before the 9/11 attacks, the Justice Department denied an FBI request for a search warrant, that would have targeted Zacarias Moussaoui laptop computer, which contained flight manuals and a flight simulator. Zacarias was arrested on Aug. 17, 2001, after he raised suspicions at a Minn. Flight school by telling instructors he wanted to learn to fly a jetliner but did not want to learn to land. He also questioned them about opening cabin doors during flight.

Could it be that the roommate who went to the FBI was himself Muslim?

I think WND has covered this former FBI man's testimony (link available on today's frontpagemag.com). Apparently, he tried about 70 times to get his superiors to take interest in this case without success. The defence is going to use this information to argue that Moussaoui should not be convicted on the basis that he withheld vital information from the authorities who were holding him.
