Baghdad teachers beheaded in front of students

With the aim of "intimidating pupils and disrupting learning." This will do it, all right. From MSNBC, with thanks to CM:

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Separate groups of gunmen entered two primary schools in Baghdad on Wednesday and beheaded two teachers in front of their students, the Ministry of State for National Security said.

"Two terrorist groups beheaded two teachers in front of their students in the Amna and Shaheed Hamdi primary schools in Shaab district in Baghdad," a ministry statement said.

A ministry official said he believed the attacks were aimed at "intimidating pupils and disrupting learning."

UPDATE: This story appears to be inaccurate. (Thanks to Matt.)

What the f*** can you say - F**** animals!

"...and for today's lesson, class, verses 8:12 and 47:4."

Tafsirs.

Al-Jalalayn, 47:4.
So when you encounter [in battle] those who disbelieve, then [attack them with] a striking of the necks (fa-darba'l-riqābi is a verbal noun in place of the [full] verbal construction, that is to say, fa'dribū riqābahum, 'then strike their necks'), in other words, slay them - reference is made to the 'striking of the necks' because the predominant cause of being slayed is to be struck in the neck. Then, when you have made thoroughly decimated them, bind, spare them, take them captive and bind firmly, the bonds (al-wathāq is what is used to bind [yūthaqu] a captive). Thereafter either [set them free] by grace (mannan is a verbal noun in place of the [full] verbal construction), that is to say, either show them grace by setting them free unconditionally; or by ransom, ransoming them with payment or with Muslim captives, until the war, that is to say, its participants, lay down its burdens, its heavy loads of weaponry and other things, so that either the disbelievers surrender or enter into a treaty. This [last clause] constitutes the 'purpose' of [enjoining the Muslims to] slaying and taking captive. So [shall it be] (dhālika is the predicate of an implied subject, [such as] al-amr, 'the ordinance', in other words, 'the ordinance [of God] regarding them is as mentioned'). And had God wished, He could have [Himself] taken vengeance on them, without any fighting, but, He has commanded you to [do] it, that He may test some of you by means of others, from among them, by way of battle, so that the slain among you will end up in Paradise, while those [slain] among them [will end up] in the Fire. And those who are slain (qutilū: a variant reading has qātalū, 'those who fight') - this verse was revealed on the day of [the battle of] Uhud, after the dead and the wounded had become numerous among the Muslims - in the way of God, He will not let their works go to waste, He will [not] render [them] void.

Ibn Kathir, 47:4.
The Command to strike the Enemies' Necks, tighten Their Bonds, and then free Them either by an Act of Grace or for a Ransom
Guiding the believers to what they should employ in their fights against the idolators, Allah says,
(So, when you meet those who disbelieve (in battle), smite their necks) which means, `when you fight against them, cut them down totally with your swords.'
(until you have fully defeated them,) meaning, `you have killed and utterly destroyed them.'
(tighten their bonds.) `This is referring to the prisoners of war whom you have captured. Later on, after the war ends and the conflict has ceased, you have a choice in regard to the captives: You may either act graciously toward them by setting them free without charge, or free them for a ransom that you require from them.' It appears that this Ayah was revealed after the battle of Badr. At that time, Allah reproached the believers for sparing many of the enemy's soldiers, and holding too many captives in order to take ransom from them. So He said then:
(It is not for a Prophet to have captives of war until he had made a great slaughter (among the enemies) in the land. You desire the commodities of this world, but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. Allah is Mighty and Wise. Were it not for a prior decree from Allah, a severe torment would have touched you for what you took.) (8:67-68) Allah's saying,
(...until the war lays down its burden.) Mujahid said: "Until `Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) descends.'' It seems as if he derived this opinion from the Prophet's saying,
(There will always be a group of my Ummah victorious upon the truth, until the last of them fight against Ad-Dajjal.) Imam Ahmad recorded from Jubayr bin Nufayr who reported from Salamah bin Nufayl that he went to the Messenger of Allah and said, "I have let my horse go, and thrown down my weapon, for the war has ended. There is no more fighting.'' Then the Prophet said to him,
(Now the time of fighting has come. There will always be a group of my Ummah dominant over others. Allah will turn the hearts of some people away (from the truth), so they (that group) will fight against them, and Allah will bestow on them (war spoils) from them (the enemies) -- until Allah's command comes to pass while they are in that state. Verily, the center of the believers' abode is Ash-Sham. And goodness is tied around the horses' foreheads till the Day of Resurrection.) An-Nasa'i also recorded this narration. Allah then says,
(Thus, and had Allah so willed, He could have taken vengeance against them;) which means that had He so willed, He could have taken immediate vengeance against the disbelievers with a chastisement or exemplary punishment directly from Him.
(but (He lets you struggle) so as to test with one another.) meaning, He has ordered Jihad and fighting against the enemies in order to try you and test your affairs. Allah also expresses His wisdom by the legislation of Jihad in the following two Surahs, Al `Iman and At-Tawbah, in which He says,
(Or did you think that you would enter the Paradise before Allah had made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast) (3:142)
(Fight them; Allah will then punish them by your hands, disgrace them, grant you victory over them, satisfy the breasts of a believing people, and remove the fury of their (the believers') hearts. Allah turns in forgiveness to whom He wills; Allah is Knowing and Wise.) ( 9:14-15)

If those beheaded teachers teach Islam, well... What goes around comes around.

I'm sure those kids are now FFL.

'A ministry official said he believed the attacks were aimed at "intimidating pupils and disrupting learning."'

He had a chance to say something proactive to media and he didn't. A real ho-hum attitude from this Ministry of State for National Security. Geeee - wonder why.

Just another day in "Paradise"

One of the bravest people I know, is my childrens' second grade teacher, who moved to Afganistan and is a white woman that runs a small school teaching both boys and GIRLS. She moved to Afganistan while the Taliban was in power and had to flee to Pakistan prior to the war, but returned and opened her school. I do fear that she may fall victim to the same fate. I know she has commitment and courage, and that is a definite threat to those that intimidate by force and their enablers.

Those that write the check to finance terrorism, those enablers, should be be a priority target for our war effort. It is difficult to infiltrate and eliminate those that practice terror at the ground level. We need to organize the global banking system to freeze the assets of those rich arabs that finance jihad. We need to take control of the flow of funds. Make them resort to physical movement of cash or gold to finance their operations.

islam is not a Religion of Peace, it's a Religion of Pirates.

It must have been a class with boys and GIRLS. The disruption was for the young girls. To keep them from wanting to learn that they can be more than what the imans, ayatollahs, and mullahs say that they can be. To keep them barefoot, pregnant, and in the cave. To keep them sub-class entities.
These Islamofeces are worst than barbarians. Just when you think that they could get no lower, they prove the entire civilized world wrong. In front of children.
I think back to all of the folks that were protesting the condition of the Gitmo prisioners. I wonder if they will protest the mistreatment of these children to the United Nations of Third World Countries about how these children were forced to watch their educators be butchered?

It's sad when you look at a headline like this and it doesn't shock you like it should...

"It's sad when you look at a headline like this and it doesn't shock you like it should..."

No kidding. I find myself getting as jaded as a Chinese emperor's tomb.

Just when you think that they could get no lower, they prove the entire civilized world wrong. In front of children.

It was what Islam did to the children of Beslan School that brought me to this site. An ideology that could torture children then shoot them in the back as they bolted for freedom can sink to any depths.

Does anybody know what age group "primary" is the Iraq? In the UK it is between 5 and 11. Not that it makes it any better if the child witnesses were over 12, of course. Just wondering.

I'm not so much shocked as I am infuriated. I can't believe these idiots don't stop and realize it's YOUR RELIGION condoning this. You people must love violence. You live for violence. You savor violence.

You people(muslims) love shocking your children with beheadings. You people love seeing your mosques and the people inside being blown up. You people love seeing car bombings. You love sending your children to blow themselves up to kill indiscriminately.

You know why you love it????

Because you don't put a stop to it. You know why you don't put a stop to it? You love your violent religion.

You're so used to the violence it doesn't bother you anymore.

And this is what is spawned by Islam -- maniacs that think they have the God-given RIGHT to MURDER. So they take it out on educators and in front of CHILDREN?!

Get this filth-ridden cult out of the West.

What is it going to take, folks? Nuclear attacks on our soil?

God help us all. We are being lead by impotent fools.

Words fail me on this one. Almost. This really shocks, in spite of all the horrors we're presented with everyday. These guys are the dregs. Truly possessed by evil and capable of anything. Their total disregard and numbed out indifference to the suffering of others, particularly children puts them beyond the pale, and reminds me of the outer limits of violence exhibited by the Nazi Einzatzgruppen and henchmen of the Holocaust. We're back there again and in a way, never left. Just a brief respite in the nightmare of history.
It is also disturbing that this incident has gone unreported on the BBC news webpage.

Here's a Memphis radio station with some ballz.

Well, its easy to identify negative points about anothers religion - if one has has not truly attempted to seek further knowledge about it. And even easier to point the finger with no solid evidence - besides addressing facts retrieved from an already biased media.
Yes, as humans we condone such gross actions of a particular group or sect, but to accuse a 'religion' of the shortcomings of its people, is unjust to say the least.
Lest we become anymore unbiased in our approach -lets get the facts straight!!!!!

Samson...
I fully agree...what can one say except what gutter scum these losers are. They have to resort to intimidating children. May they ALL burn in hell with the rest of the Islamofeces.

Islam has always been our enemy -- but in recent centuries, in the shadows, slinking and waiting, plaing us against each other, culture vs culture.

In hand with Germany during WW I, the Caliphate made a fatal mistake and was toppled. So, the Muslims licked their wounds and start the chess game -- playing both sides and watching Westerners kill each other during WW II.

Then they meddled with both sides again during the Cold War -- this time Orthodox Russian (Soviet) vs the West (United States, France, Britain, etc.).

During this entire past century the flow of OIL money and advances in the technology of warfare made possible the unfettered spread of Islam into all parts of the world by "peaceful" means. With the help of the United Nations and liberal self-deprecating/loathing Westerners, it was like child's play.

Then the bombs started being used -- especially once the "Wall" came down and the USA appeared on the horizon as the ONLY Superpower left.

The Muslim students started coming to the USA in droves!

Weaken the USA from within. Pick at her allies from without. Bomb Israel. Bomb Britain. Send murderers to the Philippines and Spain. Send jihadist warriors to Canada and Mexico to form cells and start leaking them across the borders into the United States. The "War of 1000 Cuts" has been part of our lives forever and we are only now starting to really understand what has been going on.

What a cunning, calculating enemy we face. The most devious liars in history as a culture, these Islamists.

Well, I declare war on these vermin.

No more.

Islam is the Enemy.

No more patty-cake. No more kindly attempts to filter out the moderates from the radicals.

This is about US or THEM.

So what will it be? Your children or theirs?

Feel free to call me a warmonger. I could hardly care anymore what titles I might be given in this conflict. I'm numb with anger.

Wow, those activists are getting cheeky, no?

Correct me if I am wrong, but has this original story been altered/censored by MSNBC in just a matter of minutes? What's wrong -- the truth too hot, NBC dhimmis?

It looks to me that there is some dispute over what happened. The relevant search at Google News shows a number of different takes on this. In some items it is a security guard and a teacher, not two teachers. In some the victims are stabbed or shot, not beheaded. The Iraqi Government and Iraqi Police have conflicting accounts - the latter denies the incident took place:

Google News sample on teacher slaying

Mucked it up somehow.

Try this:

Google News: baghdad teacher

Once again more people are beheaded in accordance with Islam and The (Not So) Holy Qur'an. All I have to say is expect more attacks like this to happen.

“A ministry official said he believed the attacks were aimed at intimidating pupils and disrupting learning."

I’m quite certain that among the reasons of these psycho-killers, disrupting the learning process was not near the top of the list. Perhaps in their eyes it was an added benefit, but we all know the REAL reasons why these "people" (and I use that word very loosely) do these things. When, oh, when, will someone - beside those here - have the courage to say it out loud?

There's no peace in Islam.

I find myself getting ...jaded

If you think we're getting jaded, think how jaded those kids must be getting. When you're so young and don't have experience to put it in context, this sort of thing would eventually feel normal. Which perpetuates the process, one generation to the next.

Just click your heels together three times, close your eyes, and keep telling yourself, "they're just like us, they're just like us, they're just like us, ..."

Whether it happened in Iraq or not is probably a moot point - it happens frequently in Afghanistan - and is a 'legitimate' out working of Islamic theology... although the total inhumanity of it defies belief.

I'm not sure if you directed the second paragraph of your comment at me.

If you did, allow me to introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Eisenhund. If you have any questions about my feelings regarding mohammedans and those who make excuses for them, enable them, and try to tell me that they're just like me, please feel free to look up my postings on previous threads.

If it was not directed at me, please disregard the above.

I printed out some of these jihadwatch threads and read them at lunch. I took some extra time with this post.I used my imagination to project myself into this scenario:

"Two terrorist groups beheaded two teachers in front of their students in the Amna and Shaheed Hamdi primary schools in Shaab district in Baghdad."

Think about what that really means. Think of the sounds. Think of the sight of beheadings like this. Then think about how it would have affected you even as a jaded adult. Think about how it would have warped your soul if you witnessed it as a child or how your children would be damaged. I have daughters that would have been in these classes -- I'm sure others out there are in a similar situation.

Try to imagine what this really means. Then think about the children of Beslan or even children in the Sudan this very moment. Think of all the damaged souls.

I'm losing my fear of being personally attacked. We have to protect and defend the helpless - not out some obligation to a belief system - but because we are human beings and deep down that this can't be allowed to continue.

UPDATE!!!!

The latest is that this did NOT happen.

(Not that I would put it past them...)

The Iraqi Government and Iraqi Police have conflicting accounts - the latter denies the incident took place

...the latter will tell you that Western democracy is flourishing all over Iraq; the former will tell you that the beheadings are an isolated incident done by a handful of extremists trying to hijack islam...

...and you believe who?

I would place no reliance on either source.

Eisenhund, please consider it disregarded. You need no introduction with me, I greatly enjoy your posts.

If the second paragraph was aimed at anyone, it would be our self-deluding media and our politicians, not readers of JW such as yourself.

Memories of Vietnam , the MSM missed the stories of the Thought-Control police that
when into schools and executed teachers in from of children as an example of what happens to anti-Comminism spreaders.
The children weren't safe either, the VC took sharpened pencils and bashed them into the ears of a few children as another example of listening to anti-Communism lies and propaganda.

*Communism is good
*Islam means Peace

Yeah right, next Jane Fonda will visit Iraq and cuddle up the the Islamists to show how they suffer and must kill to defend their religion of peace.
They did it for the Children.

Dirty Animals.

Is Patvann right?

This headline is so heinous that I hope it isn't true. Is it or isn't it?

Ohhhh and resorting to these tactics means they are getting desperate.

Beheadings did/not take place ?

Reuters have not removed their previous news posting, or even updated it with a statement refuting it took place.

http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=worldNews&storyid=2006-04-19T121552Z_01_GEO942966_RTRUKOC_0_US-IRAQ-TEACHERS-KILLINGS.xml

The Iraqi Minestry of the Interior is not the most reliabe source.
But it is interesting to note that there has been a lot of (Shi'te) Mosque attacks in this area.
Could the Iraqi Minestry be inciting the people to act and do something silly.

I suppose we will have to wait and see on both counts

School days, school days. Dear old golden rule days. Reading and ‘riting and
"ALLAH AKBAR!!"

Totally despicable...
God knows what these teachers have done to get what we know drove these sonanabitjes to commit 2 more crimes in the name of ALLAH and his pedophile sado masochistic prophet, before the eyes of their prey...
Unexcusable, i am ashamed to think that these people exist on the face of this planet...
Goodness Gracious...

This world has got to know that something is wrong when education is a feared thing. This tells me, in yet another form, just how desperate these people are. Deep down inside, they may not even realize it, they know that they are wrong and need to change.
"Oh no, our women are getting educated, that means we can't keep them trapped in the house and beat them when ever we feel like it. Oh no, our young men are reading philosophy and starting to question life and why they actually believe in islam, we can't have this, where will all our suicide bombers go?"

freewoman- I totally agree with your comments.

Suicide bombings will end when the families of the suicide bombers love their children more than they hate their ememies.

I heard a story on Fox news today (4/19/06) at noon that announced that this incident of the beheadding never actually happened, and that it was a false report.

Toler8

Islam IS bad!

I second that sentiment!!

Wafa Sultan said that she lost her faith in Islam when she was at college and jihadists entered the classroom and killed one of her teachers right in in front of the students.

If this beheading report is accurate, if there is one good thing that might come from this horrible incident, it might be that it produces another Wafa Sultan.

First they were beheaded, then they were stabbed and shot but not beheaded, then it never happened.

How does someone make a mistake like that? I'm familiar with the game of "telephone", where one child whispers a secret to the next child, who passes it on to the next child and so on down the line, and the final child tells the result (which is usually far different from the original message). But what kind of story could morph into "Two teachers were beheaded in front of their class in the Shaab district"?

Bring our troops home, and let them argue over how many teachers/police/truckdrivers were/weren't beheaded/strangled/shot/stabbed in the classroom/hallway/frontsteps/coatcloset. It's getting harder and harder to care about the lies and deception about Iraq: they're not in a civil war, they wanted (and received) a democracy, they have peace and security, everything is going great. Now let's declare victory and get the h*ll out of there before the whole thing falls apart.

I said

...let them argue...

uhh, "them" means the Iraqis, not our troops. Darned dangling subject.

We never hear of these terrorists going to jail, or recieving any sort of punnishment... makes on wonder why eh?????? Where are the court cases for these people who do horrific crimes...however,
For a little crime like a woman showing her wrists she is stoned to death, and many thousands of people are killed for the tiniest of things, yet a terrorist is left to terrorise again. If a person speaks the wrong thing they are stoned to death, However, if a cleric or leader teaches hatred towards the infidel nothing happens, in fact he is left to continue his hatred, WHY???.. Suicide bombers are martyred, and their families are priaised WHY????
I think we know why, and there are many in the west including some of the media who are helping them take the west over... Surely this shows governments that Muslims are encouraging this terrorism...

Where's Naseem in all this? Y'all leave the poor whatever alone. If he,she,it stops posting, where will the comic relief come from.

The US needs to pull it troops in and let the Shia take it to the Sunni's so this will stop.

Could throw a few errant missiles toward Iran to get them involved and watch the ME burn.

Just shower Tehran with LSD and send in the Teletubbies. They'll think their precious prophet has shown up to save the world.

Islamic school is in session!

Siciliano wrote "Just shower Tehran with LSD and send in the Teletubbies."

Too funny!! Thanks for the laugh.

l wonder what does darn teachers were really teaching to piss off the murderous islmamofanatic nuts.

Breathtaking. How do you get over seeing that in middle school? How cheap life is in Islam.
