BAGHDAD (AP) - A car bomb exploded Sunday near a Shiite mosque south of Baghdad, killing at least 10 people and injuring about 25, police said.The blast occurred in the public market in Mahmoudiya, about 30 kilometres south of Baghdad, a short distance from the mosque, police Capt. Rasheed al-Samaraie said.

I don't understand, where is the reference to the assumption that the bomber was "mentally unstable"? Why doesn't the story tell us how he was motivated by mental illness, not idealogy?
What? We don't know the identity of the bomber, let alone a psychological history of him? Well, that's never stopped them before from making instantaneous post-mortem psychological evaluations: the "lone knifer" who committed simultaneous attacks in 3 separate Coptic churches, the guy who drove his SUV through the campus running down students, the guy who blew himself up running around with a bomb outside a college football stadium, the guy who used a hammer to destroy the Hindu statue, etc. etc.
Were the Shi'ites displaying blasphemous cartoons? Were they sending foreign aid to the Israelis? Were they decadent and pornographic?
No? then why were they bombed???
