How many of those Muslim Arabs persecuting the Copts are simply the descendants of Copts forcibly converted somewhere along the line? And are there any of them who might jettison the belief-system that stunts their intellectual and moral growth, and even start a sympathetic inquiry into the conditions which led their ancestors to convert to the belief-system (or "religion" -- a word which will not quite do in these circumstances, given the automatic respect that word seems, in many quarters, to elicit) within which non-Muslims are treated so badly?

The same, of course, goes for Muslims in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan -- how can they seriously take on titles such as "Sayeed" (meaning: "a descendant from the family of the Prophet) with a straight face? How can they ignore their obvious ancestry, and the obvious conditions -- or conditions obvious to all but themselves -- which must have prevailed when, at some moment in the dim past, those Hindu ancestors, to save themselves from death or the onerousness of non-Muslim life under Muslim rule, "converted" and "freely" -- for "there is no compulsion in religion" (Sura 2.256) in Islam.

She points out the obvious double standard...'we' can do it, 'you' cant. Of course Christians are not supposed to conduct themselves like that anyway. Allah forgot to tell his submitters about 'thou shall not kill'.
Allahu Akbar may be muslims battle cry, but the battle cry of Allah is KILL,KILL,KILL. The Islamic literature is overflowing with instructions on killing...The Quran is a manual of the hows and whys of killing. The Hadith are records on how Mohammad applied those commandments.

Does anyone know what the law states here in the US in terms of non-Muslims being allowed to enter mosques at will and observe the services? Are mosques permitted to bar entry of non-Muslims and if so, by what statute?

Thanks el greco. I wasn't sure about that. So apparently any average U.S. citizen or group thereof could proceed to "monitor" their local mosques. Although I imagine that much of what goes on in mosques occurs "off hours", rather than at the services themselves.

The muslim brotherhood is incapable of sympathy since Christians never raid mosques. If they really cared, they (the muslim bro ho) would express empathy. But that is not possible as well, as they do not care. APATHY is the correct term.

This is why I have never gone into a Mosque, I should not be Forced to Pretend to belong to someone elses Tenets by wearing some religous costume or following rituals based on idolatry .

Sounds correct..Allah prefers Peace but doesn't DEMAND it from the followers.....AHHHHHHH...another loophole for the Islamists and jihadists plus the Moderate Muslims that denounce the ACT of violence but not the Muslims doing the killing and violence.

Muslims have no rituals to follow at my place of worship and their wives casn enter the same door as them and even sit with them in the service, and Sikhs can keep their Turbans on and the wives can wear any Sikh based jewellery or gowns.

This removing of the shoes when you enter a mosque is something of an Islamic own goal. It doesn not do the image of a religion a lot of good when the first thing that hits you in the entrance area of a mosque, at least in London, is the smell of sweaty, male socks.

So does that mean that I can rent a burkha or stick a black sack over my body and even though they could hear my American accent and see my blue eyes and even if I had no man along, I could just stroll right into any mosque in the U.S. with a tape recorder under my burkha? If they questioned whether I was Muslim I could presumably honestly say no - I'm just observing your own modest dress codes here so as not to cause offense - and they wouldn't dare frisk me or bar my entry or dare "profile" me for security reasons? There is an Arabic saying: Yadhrabb wa yuharem ilbukka, "He hits you and then he forbids you from crying". That is what Islam does and yet it goes a step further by forcing you to sing the praises of its mercy. I call it self-preservation and you may be right about being passive, but sadly the terrorist know this and you'll end up being "Dead-right" .

A local TV debate show has the topic of Islam or Iraq every few weeks, and no matter who the guests are the Host receives e-mails attacking each guest as not being a True Muslim and perverting the Quranic teachings from Muhammed.

I have yet to hear a definitive version of Islam and it's tenets , human definitions seem to dominate and every verse that appears to condone violence and killing infidels is paired with the usual "BUT" and then the BS starts about how the verse has been taken out of context .

There are too many rules and vague rituals for anyone to completely understand and practise Islam, it was created by the "False Prophet" that Jesus predicted would come and promise Peace but only bring pain and wars upon wars.
