Fitzgerald: Has it been worth it?

Jihad Watch Board Vice President Hugh Fitzgerald explores the fruits of the jizyah of foreign aid:

For decades now the United States and other countries have poured money into the Muslim world. What have we received in return?

Jizyah sums to Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan, and any other Muslim state or quasi-state that had the bad luck not to be born with lots and lots of oil and gas under the ground, should be compiled and listed. Egypt has received from the United States a total of more than $60 billion. That $60 billion could have been put into ethanol research and development (if one is to believe, and I do, the story about Brazil's success with ethanol), and into advances in solar and wind energy. But instead we have gained what? Egypt remains a world center of antisemitism and anti-Americanism. Egypt is the protector of the Sudan and has worked to prevent effective intervention (the ineffective African Union kind is just swell) in Darfur. Egypt has been the official sponsor of a celebrated television series based on The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an act which does not exactly comply in spirit or letter with its solemn commitment, under the Camp David Accords, to end all hostile propaganda against Israel.

And what is the sum total of Infidel aid that Pakistan has received? Be sure to include all those cancelled billions of debt. Was not Pakistan the creator and incubator of the Taliban, and of the nuclear weapons project of A. Q. Khan who, supported by the generals of the I.S.I., also distributed nuclear know-how to such friends of the United States as Iran and North Korea?

And then there is Jordan, the country with the "plucky little king" with so many friends in England, not to mention his admirer Anthony Lewis (formerly of The New Duranty Times), followed by the slightly less plucky and less little king, his son Abdullah, with the wrestler's neck and the less oily manner. Abdullah is an even more entirely unrepresentative representative of an Arab country, Jordan or Eastern Palestine, than his father was. In opinion poll after poll in that country, 95% or more of the population declares its hatred for America. The same percentage of Eastern Palestine's "Palestinian" population, more or less, that would like to get a visa to move to America. No doubt some would argue that they should be granted those visas and then those green cards because, after all, what better way to diminish Arab and Muslim anti-American hatred then to allow them to live here and make them Americans? It's a win-win situation, isn't it?

Nor should one forget all the sums dutifully handed over, first by the Europeans, and more recently by the Americans, to the "Palestinians" (as local Arabs carefuly renamed themselves after the Six-Day War in 1967, when it became clear a long propaganda campaign would be necessary to weaken and isolate Israel). Indeed, the Americans and Europeans are so afraid of what might happen if they discontinue the Jizyah to the shock troops of the Lesser Jihad (that against Israel), that even now they horrifically contemplate sending aid to the nakedly eliminationist regime and people of the "Palestinian" Authority, calling it "humanitarian aid" which, of course, will simply free up other sums for buying armaments of every kind, including explosives and Qassem rockets. But the Jiyzah must not be stopped. No, no, the Jizyah must not be stopped.

Go around the world. Add up the amounts paid out to those members of that ill-fated CENTO (Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Turkey)military alliance. Add up what is given in foreign aid to Indonesia by Australia, the United States and the Netherlands. Add up what is given by the French to the countries of North Africa -- countries that repay those francs, those young teachers sent on their civilizing mission, that military aid, by doing what? By relieving their excess of population and sending it, as a token of Arab and Muslim appreciation, to France, by all conceivable legal and illegal channels. And once in France, those young Arabs fit in so well, integrate so easily, are so grateful for all the free housing and education and medical care, and just for the chance to live in douce France, mere des armes, des arts, et des lois, that they wake up in the morning trying to think of ways to repay their French fellow countrymen and countrywomen, and the French state for its largesse.

Add up the damn Jizyah.

Then, on a second page, add up the sums given by the fabulously rich Arab states, the ones that owe their trillions to an accident of geology, to those same recipients. Find out just how much they have been giving, over the years, to the "Palestinians," (other than as rewards to the families of suicide bombers). Find out how much they have been giving to Egypt, to Jordan, to Pakistan, and all the rest. Find out how little is given -- except in direct payments to encourage Jihad, the Lesser or the Greater.

Now, inhabitants of the Elysee, 10 Downing Street, the White House, and bigshots, big shishki, everywhere, sit down and analyze what these figures mean.

Be sure, in your calculations, to add up the value of what the United States and the other Infidel donors of this "protection money" have received in return.

Friendship? Reliable allies? Anything concrete, anything that they did that they would not have done anyway to protect their own interests, and their own regimes from challenge, but that they actually did only for us, to demonstrate solidarity or gratitude? Anything? Nothing? The Less-Than-Nothing of open enmity and contempt, not diminished by these Jizyah payments but in fact fueled by them? Because this continued largesse, to those whose regimes, and peoples, express such hostility (the peoples even more than the corrupt regimes) is taken by Muslims as evidence of our own weakness, our pusillanimity, our willingness, our eagerness to be had.

Has it been worth it?

It was common, when I was a kid, for people visiting Florida to return home with baby alligators as souvenirs.

Fortunately, these creatures were almost impossible to raise, and most met the fate of all such dangerous exotic reptilian 'pets'... ending up flushed into the plumbing (to become urban mythical giant albino gators in the sewer system of NYC).

The exotica of Islam is far hardier.

And our feeding [jizya] is more effective.

Naivete can be fatal.

Best to leave predators in their muck.

And feed your kids instead.

If we just stopped sending aid, maybe we could recoup a lot of money lost from not buying thier cheap oil. It saddens me to ehar of Egypt, the country of the Copts and of passed the pyramids, decend into the mess that thier in.

Hamas should not recieve aid. Unfortunatly, the Russians will just continue to give aid. Maybe this thier way of getting back at America for thier medeling if Afganistan?

No more aid to "Calphatis." No more aid to anyone who lives on or near the actual or pretended boundaries of the Caliphate! No more aid to any person who swears alligence to the Caliphate one or more times a day!

Since there is this never ending need for fossil fuels that unfortunately coming from middle east countries; here are some current points on the progress being made on the use of ethanol.

At the pump it's liquid gold: Ethanol is the corn based-clean air additive U.S. refiners are scrambling to add to the nation's fuel supply.

As President Bush explained it to a Milwaukee audience on Feb. 6, “The more ethanol we use, the less crude oil we consume.”

Did you know that more than a third of all gas produced in the US now contains up to 10 PCT. ethanol and all current vehicles in the US can run on it

.Did you know that a cleaner, higher blend of 85 percent ethanol is currently available in 37 states and that Car makers are scrambling to produce vehicles that can run on the 85 PCT. Ethanol . Several state governors are driving vehicles that run on 85 PCT ethanol.

Did you know that ethanol can now be produced at a cost of $ 1.20 per gallon and even that is dropping.

Did you know that ethanol production has risen from 2 billion gallons in 2004 to now well over 5 billion gallons by late 2006.

These points of interest present some good promises to wean ourselves off of our middle east dependency. If we could just divert are jizya tax as well as our need to buy middleeast oil to this very promising alternative energy source among several others that are showing great promise, it would be a great step.

Why is it that all consumer products and produce show the country of origin, except for gas?

I wish I had choice between gas made from Gulf oil and gas made from North Sea oil.

The trouble is that ethanol will not stop the flow of money into Saudi Arabia - it will just make the oil they sell to the famously growing economies of India and China a bit cheaper, to the advantage of both parties. What one would really like to see is an end to the artificial prosperity of some of the most odious governments on earth - but that, alas, does not look like it's coming any time soon.

It strikes me that a part of the whole tangle about "aid" is a basic misunderstanding between the two parties concerned. The West cannot help but think of the party that gives the money as superior to the party that receives it - we think of money receipients as dependents, or welfare addicts, or bums, even as hired persons, and at any rate below those who give it. Conversely, Muslims think of those who receive the money as superior to those who give it - they instinctively, without even thinking about it, think of it as tribute, just as the West instinctively thinks of it as alms to a beggar. The indignation of Hamas at being denied their payments, merely because they adhere to the same ideas as any regular Muslim guy, shows that they think of payments from the Western world as simply due to them; and that makes it incomprehensible to the West, to whom it is natural to think that if a beggar assaults you, or if a dependant proves ungrateful or surly, of if a hired man fails to perform, you do not give them "your" money.

"Conversely, Muslims think of those who receive the money as superior to those who give it "

where DO you get this garbage from?

I suspect that the western democracies giving large quantities of money under the guise of 'foreign aid' to Islamic nations is probably EXTREMELY DANGEROUS as well. There cannot be any doubt that this is thinly-disguised jizya payment.

We all hear about the "corruption" in places like Indonesia, Pakistan, et al--corruption being an evasive catch-phrase coined to explain away governmental officials' pilfering of monies supposedly earmarked for development in these countries.

But has it ever occurred to the western nations that all this money supposed being "stolen" was never meant to reach the people in the first place and that in fact all this "aid" money was really meant to be used to develop weapons to be used in jihad wars against the western nations???

Think about it. What ARE these countries using this money for? The results of all this foreign aid do not reveal any substantial improvements in most if not all of these nations. These nations are probably using our aid monies to kill people, I'd say. And we're almost certainly on their hit list.

Paolo:

"Conversely, Muslims think of those who receive the money as superior to those who give it - they instinctively, without even thinking about it, think of it as tribute".

Paolo well said and you are absolutely correct that they view it as the required jizya tax, just as the muslims who have migrated to the EU countries and are draining the coffers with welfare payments to support them.

More proof of my contention that the entire American Establishment is pro-Islamic.
NO this is not accidents or stupidity at work! Our leaders WANT Islam to win. WHY? not sure, but it is part of their plan for world govt.
Yes I do realize that I sound NUTS. but if you have a better explanation for why we're subsidizing people who hate US, please tell me

Truth Speaker:

"where DO you get this garbage from?"

Hello Truth Speaker. To answer your question, look around this site.
Read the articles in full.
Follow the links and read those too.
Read the comments after each article.
Read the links found there too.

Try this site too http://www.jihadwatch.org/
and do the same.

Then read some books on the subject. Plenty to be found at Amazon for one.

There are a lot of very informed people contributing to this site and Paolo is one of them.

Perhaps you might like to reason with us as to why you think it is 'garbage'.

It does seem amazing that western countries that don't employ, feed and provide health care for all their own people give anything to other countries. Also, I take it that many US citizens are angry about 'welfare mothers'. (Aren't these the same people who are angry about abortion?) Anyway, shouldn't these people be even angrier about money thrown into poorly-controlled and possible dangerous ME schemes?

If I were to suggest we give money to a neo-nazi group who advocate the murder of a particular people I would be branded a racist. So why do our governments give money to neo-nazi groups who advocate the murder of a particular group of people?

We stopped aid to South Africa when they had apartheid, why are we even considering aid to Hamas? It's like giving aid to Adolf Hitler.

Hamas don't want to split the people into different groups like south Africa, they want to murder chilren. Mothers, fathers, children dying while they celebrate.

They will do it with a smile on their faces, they will feel justified and elated when the bodies of children lie in the streets.

What have we come to when we give aid to these people. Do our politicians not see that they are being played; that Hamas will use the excuse that they will starve their own people if we don't give them aid? They have the money for nuclear weapon development why do they need aid.

Stop this madness or we will be drawn into a world war that no one can win. We are being used and played like fools.

Naivete can be fatal.

And is just that every day, with ever increasing frequency on an ever-broadening front.

But is it really naivite, or is something more complicated, something darker?

Let us take an example in Michael Savage. Now, Michael is to be our great savior. Just listen to him. If we only knew what he knew and saw what he saw, we'd have a chance.

And he's a Berkeley man. And a_actual scientist. Just listen to his show for 5 minutes and you'll learn that.

Well, three weeks ago he pronounced that "at its best, Islam can be a beautiful religion." Ok, Mike, and when and where was that? Was it when Mohammed had his boys build the campfire on the Koreishi's chest? Or, maybe later when he had his "acolytes" behead the 800 Jews?

Well, yesterday the Berkely Man was huffing into the radio and was at it again.

"Savage" bellowed that Moslems designed such beautiful buildings back 500 years ago, and so it Islam had to to be all good. But somewhere along the line, amidst the raft of beautiful new buildings going up and all the awesome poems being release, a tiny minority of Moslem discontents hijacked Islam and took it bad.

Apparently, in his pompous intellectual intertia, Michael wasn't able to learn about the flowering of subsumed cultures that all eventually withered in the weeds of Sharia, including the architectural moveme4nts. And not in 1500 AD, but starting back to 622 AD.

On both of "Savage's" ahistorical assertions: 1) the ridiculous "beautiful relgion at its best" hallucination, and 2) the "they designed beautiful buildings up until 1500 AD" is plain wrong.

But that doesn't matter. Michael went to the Univerisity of California's home campus and is an actual scientist. So he knows. Got to.

There is a reason that he lives in San Francisco, a city of self-congratulatory people making money. He fits right in.

MO ISLAMIC INTELLECTUAL JIZYA MO FEARFULNESS MO SAVE SELF-APOLOGY

But is it really naivite, or is something more complicated, something darker?

No, this is not naivite. This is intellectual (ideological) jizya being paid.

It is Fictive Reality at work.

It is self-important money-grubbing sellouts looks at their bank account statement several times a day, along with Arbitrons and Nielsens, of course.

Winning this "war" on all it's various levels wouldn't be so hard if we just had the guts to stand firm and DO IT.

APF

I prefer Savage's substitutes, like B1 Bob Dornan, to him. It's not just Savage's rudeness to callers, (not just Left-wing callers,) that ticks me off, it's also his ignorant assertions like the ones you cite above.

He's now ranting about moving out of CA, and to FL. My sympathies to FL.

Even though most Tibetans are Buddhist, there is a small community of Muslims in Tibet. If some Tibetan Muslims live in India, perhaps the Dalai Lama is trying to maintain good relations with them by saying that Islam is a peaceful religion.

Well known to any who knows about islam - but you put it really very well.

Actually, Hugh, Saudi Arabia and other Arab oil states, get a form of foreign aid too, albeit disguised. In the US, it has worked for many years through the Foreign Tax Credit given for royalties on oil, which were disguised as "oil income tax payments." I am not sure of what the situation is today.
