'I Cannot Say Where This Hatred Comes'

I can. But anyway, here is a vivid report on the recent attacks on churches in Egypt. From the New York Sun, with thanks to all who sent this in:

ALEXANDRIA, Egypt - In temporary offices near the Virgin Mary Church in the Asafra neighborhood here, Father Bejimey Shawky catalogs the damage the Muslim rioters wrought.

First they smashed his church's windows. Then they unhinged the rear door.

The pious Muslim looters broke the electrical switch for the air-conditioner. They burned the anteroom near the main hall reserved for baptism; they burned the father's offices, and they burned the cupboards and shelves that contained the church's library.

"I cannot say where this hatred comes from," Father Bejimey said, his voice low and weary. "We have coexisted for generations."

The church, which smelled faintly of smoke, was barely fit for worship. But Father Bejimey's flock turned out every night for the evening service between the Coptic Palm and Easter Sundays to recite lines from the Gospel and remember Christ's last week before the crucifixion. A few members of the congregation had bandages on their arms and legs from the clashes two days before....

One of the elders at the church yesterday said the funeral procession turned into anarchy the moment the mourners bared the cross. "When the Muslim youths saw the cross in the sky, and the people saw our soul, the animosity in their hearts became evident," Talat Megala said.

Four other Christian eyewitnesses confirmed this account. A Muslim eyewitness, however, did not recall the moment the rival demonstrations turned violent.

Interesting: this account would be in line with traditional dhimmi laws forbidding Christians to display the cross in public.

Read it all.

This is another reason I implore the State Department to step up emmmigration efforts of non-muslims in muslim countries. For when the blood-letting begins in earnest, these people will be the first slaughtered. Their lives are in the State Department's hands. Are you listening Condi and Co.?

'And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.'
-Jesus (Mark 13:13)

'The hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God.' -Jesus (John 16:2)

Haha, interesting that it was "four" Christian witnesses who confirmed the events. Isn't there some relevance to the number of four witnesses to an act in the Shari'a?

Of course, the Muslim witness didn't recall what had transpired, probably because an infidel's word is no good under Shari'a.

The muslim witness didn't recall because the other muslims would kill them.

Hatred in Islam is a WEAPON that is unleashed like a hand grenade. This hate is aimed at all who are non-Muslim.

There is no sense in anyone making any more of Islamic hatred than that because there isn't any more to it than that. Islam's hate is actually no more personal than a bullet.

Always know that Islam is brewing up hate and murder and keep as a great a distance between yourself and Islam as possible.

No one need worry about WHERE Islamic hatred comes from (my guess is it's from Satan, probably). It wouldn't change or solve anything if we did know.

"I cannot say where this hatred comes from," Father Bejimey said, his voice low and weary. "We have coexisted for generations."

Father, there are inactive Moslems and active Moslems. Google Osama bin Laden and fatwa and take yourself back to 1998. The grand jihad has been called, and is so rolling. Understand that.

Know thine enemy, regardless of his level of activism.

"...I do not know where this hate comes [from]..."

It's the Koran, stupid.

Read it.

And weep.

Sadly enough they probably thought that their hate for Israel would save them from being hated.

When they went after Israel and the Israelites I was with thim because I am not Israeli.
When they slaughtered Maronites en masse I did nothing because I am a Copt
When they nationalized the property of the Alexandrian Greeks and expelled them from the country I did nothing because I am not Greek
When they invaded Cyprus and slaughtered Greeks by the thousands I would not stand by the Greeks
When they hunted Zorastrians down and tried them for Apostasy I would not budge for I am not Zorastrian
When they burned the Danish Embassy I stood bye because I am not Danish
Now they are going after the Copts and who is going to come to help me?

I hope that the Israelis and Maronites and other hated groups in the region are as forgiving as I am towards the Copts, this was inevitable, the Quran itself declares there can be no friendship between Infidel and Islam, that Islamochristian Pope they have is destroying them because his presence prevents them from being able to share a common defense with the other Infidels, the first step towards saving the Copts must come from the Copts giving their Pope the boot, otherwise I regrettfully fear that he may stay in power, and that everyone will think that Egyptian Copts prefer Mohhamedan Massacres against them to recieving help from their fellow Kufr as the Pope accusses the "Zionist Agents" of going after Copts in order to drive a wedge between the Egyptians.

Somebody should write a book on the entire history of the persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt. If such a book already exists, please let me know.

Where this hatred comes from?

In an interview with the NYT Madeleine Albright admits that she had no idea that "religion" would have such a strong influence on international affairs. This means that she had no clue then and she still has no clue now. She is unashamed about it.

My first clue about Islam came in college, way back, way back, about 1968. My college admitted some wealthy Arab boys, probably Saudi, but I am not sure exactly which countries these boys came from. They dazzled the local co-eds with their wealth and extravagant attention and just poured on the charm. I never socialized with them but I had a friend who did and I saw her boyfriend come and go in the apartment complex we lived in.

As charming as they were, there was something about the way they talked to you that was unsettling. There was something not quite right. At the time I couldn't define it, but, I know what it is now, the undercurrent was a very, very deep and abiding contempt for Western women and probably the West in general. Again, at the time it was just a vague feeling I had, and didn't like, when I was around these guys. Thank goodness I didn't fall into their circle. At least one local girl married one, shudder.

Going to be a rough, rough century
