Chinubhai is right on nearly all counts, but I wish I could share his optimism about Islam being annihilated by the communications revolution. Unfortunately due to the PC brigade and our poisonous MSM, I fear Islam is being strengthened by the communications revolution. They're up and running and their evil message is geting across whilst we're not even at the races. There's too many appeasing do-gooders in our society who'll make up all sorts of excuses - we've heard them all before, chestnuts like "We must have done something to offend them", or "Islam is a religion of peace", or "Islam is no different from any other religion" or "We must find out what they want". Well, we know what they want - the destruction of our civilization and culture and a descent to the Dark Ages of Sharia worldwide and all the evil it would bring, and that abject surrender to Muslim mob rule over those cartoons said everything - we are heading towards being the first civilization in human history to be complicit in our own destruction. We're too soft and namby-pamby here in the West, and the likes of Churchill would be appalled if he could come back to life and spend a week in 2006.

What this killer-zombie has unwittingly done is provide us a clue to Islam's origins as a human sacrifice cult that worships a deity that has been intentionally disguised as a Yahweh---and all too obviously ISN'T.

What WOULD happen when people such as the Babylonians who were avid human sacrifice practitioners (the practice of ritual slaughter of humans in order to placate their perceived "god" and thereby receive its blessing) encountered a culture where human life was perceived as sacred and laws were created to uphold that belief????

Keep in mind that any culture which practiced human sacrifice has already lost its taboos against killing (like Islam), would likely perceive its revered institutionalized religious executions as under threat (like Islam) by any culture that had opposed blood rites and imposed laws protecting human life; the human sacrifice specialists would probably react by militarizing (like Islam) to devour the culture which valued human life so that human sacrifice could flourish uninterrupted. And don't these characteristics fit Islam's character almost eerily well? It's no coincidence.

The Arabian peninsula not surprisingly was once part of Babylonia (which itself was not only a cradle of civilization but also a cradle of the practice of human sacrifice--where it was usually performed, I am told, on its ziggurat edifices). It all adds up. Islam is a human sacrifice cult and a war waged to keep the practice of religious executions/blood rites in continuance.

This is a quote from AP combining a partial quote from Ahmadinejad and then added to by AP

"Like it or not, the Zionist regime is heading toward annihilation," Ahmadinejad said at the opening of a conference in support of the Palestinians.

This quote from AP when cross referenced with Reuters and the actual text from Ahmadinejad's speech indicates he did not say this.

IMO the most interesting quote from the article is Ahmadinejad's statement:

Here is clear evidence of something that Hugh, for one, has repeated ad nauseum - that the issue with Israel for Muslims is essentially about humiliation that there should be an infidel state in the midst of dar al-Islam. And here is the confirmation of that claim - straight out of the horse's mouth. Israel doesn't constitute any sort of existential threat to the ME. It merely represents a blow to the ummah's (collective) ego. That is the real crime for which it must be annhilated.

I as someone who ponders on matters of military issues I can't help but think this guy Ahmadinejad is over playing his hand. If his real intention is as stated 'wiping Israel off the map' and then by announcing to the rest of the world they have enriched a small amount of uranium, then he is making this task much more difficult. No doubt Israel will be on a heightened state of alert to stave any attack from her neighbours. Therefore it's my view that there is another purpose behind these belligerent statements. Foremost to lure Israel and/or the US into a preemted attack on Iran. This would destablise any fragile allegiances between Arab nations and the West and in their view unite Arab and Muslim nations against their common enemy.
There may be an even more worrying purpose for Iran wanting to show the world they can produce their own 'fuel'. It is because they have already acquired the material from the former USSR and is using its own processing programme as a ruse to protect its real source of weapons grade matertial. Ironically enough, I'm in the midst of trying to enlighten a naive Ghandi follower that I have come across as to the truth about Islam. If this were the case, the planet would have been dominated by flower children by simple force of will back in the 60's. I seem to recall that all that "free love" had little effect on the violent regimes in the Soviet Union, China, Vietnam, North Korea and the Middle East.

The destruction of Israel would of course include the destruction of the entire Holy Land, including Jerusalem. Even those who suffer from that mental pathology known as antisemitism -- unless they are very far gone indeed -- might be brought up short by that realization, and if for no other reason, might wish to prevent, by all possible means, the destruction of Israel.

Of course, the main reason is that the Western world could not tolerate morally, nor intellectually, having allowed for the second time in recent history a mass-murder of the Jews. I would not take your bet "patriot" because you are probably right. Although, it would be a little surprising within 15 days, and it probably won't happen at all because I think we (the USA) will beat them to the punch, just so they will not go nuclear on them. Also, if Israel does spank Iran (with nukes), the one thing you can be sure of is that Iran won't be in any position to strike back. They will be lucky if 20% of their population is alive at the end of that day.

Silent Nuclear Submarines Add to Iran Tensions

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The silent submarine forces of the United States, Israel and Iran are all ramping up for a hot war, adding yet more tension to an already volatile Middle East - made all the more uneasy by Iran's relentless march to become a nuclear power.
Leading off the always lurking and deadly wolfpacks is Israel's fleet of Dolphin-class submarines, each carrying U.S.-supplied Harpoon cruise missiles - armed with nuclear warheads.
The Israel submarines can remain at sea for a month and are equipped with six torpedo tubes appropriate for conventional torpedoes. The tubes can also be used to launch the nuclear-tipped cruise missiles - missiles that could reach some of the targeted sites in Iran critical to its nuclear development.
Starting with just three of these Dolphin-class undersea intruders, the Israeli inventory quickly went to a fourth and a fifth. And there are reportedly at least a half-dozen in the pipeline - two being built by the People's Republic of China.
Although most particulars of Iran's military assets - both personnel and hardware - are closely held by that country, military experts opine that Iran has up to six Russian-built SSK or SSI Kilo-class diesel submarines prowling the Gulf.
Most recently, Iran's armed forces added to this fleet by deploying a new locally built submarine in Persian Gulf waters, state television reported.
The vessel was christened the Nahang, meaning whale. Built by the Iranian Defense Ministry, the sub has the capability "to carry multipurpose weapons for different missions," according to Iranian Rear Adm. Sajjad Kouchaki.
"The submarine is fully adapted to the Persian Gulf," he said, adding that the Iranian navy is pursuing a policy of deterrence in the strategic waters.
Perhaps even more significant, is the recent Iranian deployment of a super high-speed torpedo. The new torpedo was reportedly successfully tested last month during war games that Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards held in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea.
State news sources touted the successfully test-firing of the new torpedo, called the "Hoot." The development ups the profile of Iran's power in the Gulf, where the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet is based to, among other things, safeguard the flow of oil.
Gen. Ali Fadavi, deputy head of the Revolutionary Guards' navy, said that the torpedo, speeding at 223 miles per hour, was too fast to elude.
"It has a very powerful warhead designed to hit big submarines," Fadavi told state television.
Meanwhile, the Bush administration recently announced plans to add conventional ballistic missiles to the armory of its nuclear Trident submarines –- adding yet another potential arm to any military option considered against Iran, if diplomacy and/or sanctions fail to persuade that country to give up its nuclear designs.
According to Defense Daily last January, four ultra-stealthy Ohio-class Strategic Nuclear Submarines, or SSBNs, were having their 24 Trident II D-5 nuclear ballistic missiles removed and replaced with up to 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles.

Does it seem likely that Arab countries would take up arms on behalf on Shia Iran? I believe they'd sooner unite if a fellow Sunni country, like Afghanistan or Pakistan were attacked. But given that they did nothing on the invasion of Iraq, don't expect them to be more actively supportive of Iran.

I believe that the main driving factor here is Mahmoud's desire to bring out the Mahdi. If any Israeli leader were to run on bringing the Messiah, he's be comprehensively mocked. What's strange here is that despite the dhimmitude, almost every leader in the world is ignoring Mahmoud's call for chaos.

Campfire stories will be told to wide-eyed youngsters about how people had to put the muslim zombies down quickly before they had the chance to kill anybody else. Thoughts of muslims hiding in the closet or under the bed will be what makes kids afraid to go to sleep at night.

Either that or we will have lost the war and our children and our grandchildren will be kneeling on their prayer rugs and bowing towards Mecca 5 times a day. And muslim old-timers will be telling their kids about how they beheaded all those infidels during the war.

Well I have been to Israel and I sure as h--l think that this guy is barking mad. Secular Jewish Israel is here to stay and what he hates, I think, is that it is a true democracy which is more than Iran can ever claim. I stayed with Jewish famillies and Druze famillies and Christrian famillies in Israel and they are all well aware of who the enemy is and they are ready to fight if they have to. Iran declared war on the U.S. when it overun the U.S. areas and took hostages back in the 70's. It looks like the president of Iran wants war, just like he wanted hostages.

I heard a TV pundit compare Iran to a "slow motion Cuban Missle Crisis". Ahmadinejad's plans are clear and it seems our hand will br forced. I don't believe there is a peaceful way out of this one.

I know about this. Unlike others, I don't consider Chengiz Khan a villain. If his envoy's head hadn't been sent back to him, the Mongols wouldn't have invaded.

The other thing the Mongols were rightly proud of was their religious tolerance, which beats any of the Muslim successors in Central Asia today. Despite having a native religion of their own, called Tengri, they allowed their troops to embrace Christianity, and unfortunately, even Islam. However, I question whether they became Muslims later on: rather, they were defeated by the Muslim Turks, who overthrew their empire. Some of them did convert, like the son of Hulegu Khan, but there was an immediate revolt against that.

There has to be that disconnect somewhere, otherwise Mongolia would be a Muslim country today. Instead, only about 2% of that country is Muslim.
