A multi-charged roadside bomb, developed by Hizbollah in Lebanon, is being used against British and American soldiers by Iraqi insurgents linked to Iran, according to military intelligence sources.The device consists of an array of up to five armour-piercing "explosively formed projectiles" or EFPs, also known as shaped charges. They are fired at different angles at coalition vehicles, resulting in almost certain death for at least some of the soldiers inside.
The bombs are easier for insurgents to use because, unlike single EFP devices, they do not need to be carefully aimed and so can be planted beside a road within a few seconds. Their killing potential is also enhanced because more than one EFP is likely to hit a single vehicle.Some have been painted to look like concrete blocks - a modification of a tactic used by Iranian-backed Hizbollah, which hollowed out imitation rocks, bought in Beirut garden centres, to conceal bombs targeting Israeli vehicles.
A senior defence source said: "There are clear signs of Iran's sinister hand, and through that, Hizbollah, in this development."

l think a few well placed bombs in iran and hizbollah controled lebanon, etc would help them keep them on their toes..

Random-style terrorist violence in response is throwing the coward's trick, that our enemies do too well, back at them.

Well said... Maybe one of our "staunch allies" could help us...Is Saudi Arabia "staunch" this week or is Egypt, I forget?
In the mid to late 1990s, Hizbullah in Lebanon was using this weapon against the Israeli army and the South Lebanese army, who were fighting for a Lebanon free of Syrian control. When Hizbullah killed Israeli soldiers, SLA soldiers and/or Lebanese civilians in those days, the British and other major Western states didn't care. In fact, the UK and other Western major powers did not want Israel to defend itself in Lebanon against the Syrian takeover of that country which was, of course, a threat to Israeli security. Nor did they want Lebanese to defend themselves against the Hizbullah. They pretended that Hizbullah --the same outfit, once called "Party of God" in the Western press, that had killed hundreds of American and French soldiers in bomb attacks in Lebanon-- was a legitimate "resistance" force. What they did was to make a mockery of the notion of "resistance." This reducing "resistance" to mass murder was the joint effort of Hizbullah itself, Iran, and the Western press and EU govts. Now the Hizbullah's clever inventions in the weapons field are being used against UK troops.
Note that usage of the English translation of the term "Hizbullah" which is "Party of God," must have tended to these murderers a benign image among many religious people in the West. We can't say that the pro-jihad press isn't clever.
