The caliphate, you will recall, is the goal of all the jihadist striving. And now we hear these caliphate dreams from Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in Israel, declaring that the caliphate will be established in Jerusalem.
This underscores the fact that despite all the wrangling over territory and refugees (both real and trumped-up), Israel is facing the same jihad that the rest of the non-Muslim world is facing. The movement worldwide has the same aspirations and same motives. That is one reason why all those who oppose Sharia on human rights grounds, and who believe in the equality of dignity of all people, need to stand with Israel and oppose the jihad. Of course, Israel itself, like the embattled states of Western Europe, and like the United States, has not recognized the nature of the opponent it faces, and thus has not taken proper steps to defend itself. One may only hope that statements like this one, which are distressingly common, may open some eyes both there and elsewhere.

I've lost a good bit of respect for you. I can understand why you would be terrified of questioning the ridiculous, irrational, unhistoric assertions in the Koran and Hadiths (The Jewish Temple, which is proved by various historical accounts and archeology, never existed. The Koran claims the Gospels are "true", yet claims Jesus wasn't crucified and didn't claim to be the Son of God. This, despite Christian, Jewish, and Pagan historical sources confirming the undeniable fact of the crucifixion. Koran: Mary was the sister of Moses. Koran: World is flat. Etc. Etc. Etc.). The 109 violent commands in the Koran, abrogating the few peaceful verses (THINK: Why would Almighty God, who created the universe, require one group of humans to kill others in His name. Does this make logical sense?). Mohammed said: "If anyone changes their Islamic religion, kill him". Why would a "religion of truth" require this kind of coersion. Doesn't truth win out against falsehood and not require the threat of death as a defense?
If you were to even question the Koran or Hadiths the following would result:
1. You could be tried and executed as an apostate.
2. Your husband could/would commit an "honor" killing and recieve no legal reprecussions.
3. Your friends and family would be commanded to hate and disown you and your life would be in danger in your community.
4. If you moved to another place with any Muslims in the area, your life would still be in danger as a permanent.
Bottom Line: You would have to have the utmost courage to escape from Islam. You do not have true courage, as you continue to show in your postings. Therefore, you will never question what you know is garbage and hatred. You believe that political and military conquest will somehow prove Islam is "true". NASEEM: The nations are a "drop in the bucket" to Almighty God. Winning some kind of political control by terror, coersion, threats will never prove Islam is "true". Islam is false regardless of how many acts of terror Muslims commit or how many are terrified of Muslim violence. Just want to let you know that the Califat will never, ever happen simply for the reason because of the massive growth of the Christian Church which just this weekend of Easter has added new members and members who have come back to the Christian sheepfold. Just in my local parish, last night, five new members came in. One was baptized, one was recieved, and the other three finished their sacraments of confirmation and euchurest or holy communion.
The good news of the Gospel is being spread around the world, even in Muslim countries. The Christian church is the antidote to the Califat. Just a few thoughts.

if the Jewish State was planning to build a Third Temple they would replace the dome of the rock not the Al-Aksa Mosque. I'm surprised that an Arab living in Jerusalem would make such a gross error (unless it was the AP reporter who goofed).

According to Christoph Luxenberg, whose essay on the subject, published in a collection of essays by Schily Verlag last November, an essay which the entire Muslim world has carefully refrained from uttering a word about, hoping that no one will notice that essay, or dare to translate it, presents the considerable evidence for the Arabic inscriptions around the top being not Muslim, but Christian (there were, after all, Christians who used Arabic, though many who have written about the Dome of the Rock unthinkably appear to have accepted the notion that Arabic texts imply Islamic texts -- which is not true).

I think that different Pakis go to a certain Internet terminal in Lahore, where they get to log on for the session, and then get to post in J/W. Most of them are crank posters out to get our collective goat (and probably laughing themselves silly at our various reactions), while others practise their dawa by copying and pasting material from obscure sites in order to look intelligent.
I for one ignore her(?) postings, unless (s)he happens to attack any J/W'er on racism. Being of the same race (as opposed to cult) as Naseem, if I share the opinion in question with the "racist" poster, it proves that the poster in question isn't racist. Think about it. No way an elderly Ahmadiya woman would have the time, let alone the facilities, to get onto J/W every other day and post so much drivel. Given how they have to live in fear for much of their life, this would be the last thing they would think of in occupying their time. Plus they'd have to have a PC and a broadband connection in order to be as busy as this. Even in India, computers are becoming popular, but not a huge portion of the population has them; I'd wager that the number is far less in Pakistan.

Roooting around a bit, I did find that islamic-awareness.org pulished some translations to their web site on 11/13/05 that pertained to the Dome. Obviously, I trust that source about a far as I can throw a '67 Impala!

I recently made the acquaintance of a secular Persian Muslim whose family lost everything in the Islamic Revolution. He says the worst thing that happened to Persian culture was the Islamic conquest and that culturally and ethnically, Persians (the majority ethnic group of the region -- there are others) are closest to the Greeks and not at all like Arabs.
The Temple Mount as it is today is a man-made platform built around a hill or mountain originally called Zion [not to be identified with today's Mount Zion near the Zion Gate which takes its name from a ruined Byzantine church called Nea Sion {=New Zion}] in the Bible. The flat surface of the Temple Mount of today is a masterpiece of ancient architecure and engineering, built under King Herod. The flat surface is supported by an array of stone tubes or cylinders around the original mountain. The outer walls of today's Temple Mount, such as the Western Wall [where Jews pray], the southern wall and the eastern wall [facing the Mount of Olives] are, structurally-speaking, retaining walls and are about 2,000 years old, in place since Herod's time. The Arabs simply built their shrines [including the Dome of the Rock] and their mosque [al-Aqsa] long after Roman destruction of the Second Temple on top of the platform built during the Second Temple period. Unfortunately, the Israel govt, prompted by the Western govts, has not stopped Muslim waqf destruction of ancient artifacts on [and under the surface of] the Temple Mount. Nor has there been any outcry from any major body of archeologists over this crime against an ancient holy site. [one archeologist who has spoken out is Eilat Mazar, granddaughter of Benjamin Mazar. Uzi Landau, as Minister of Internal Security, did minimize the destruction by the waqf.].
It should be stated that continued Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount and destruction of that site, is a constant insult and humiliation of the Jews, just as Hindus feel humiliated over the Ayodhya mosque-over-temple.
The Dome of the Rock follows the plan of a Byzantine church dug up south of Jerusalem several years ago, called the Kathisma, which was also octagonal. The muftis of Jerusalem have used the Temple Mount site to preach against the Jews and other non-Muslims. However, Western powers use their influence to prevent Israel from disciplining them.

I have four children, two girls and two boys. My daughter's are 25 and 23, and they no longer live at home. My 25 year old is married, and they hope to start a family in a few years. I'm anxious to become a grandmother, so perhaps they'll begin their family a little sooner :)
My two sons still live at home with my husband and I - they are 19 and 17, and they both attend college and work part-time. My 19 year old wants to be a beach lifeguard, and my 17 year old plays guitar and he would like to be a musician.
I manage our home and help my husband on occassion with our business. I do everything from helping him with paper work, to driving trucks and making deliveries wherever he's short handed. But we're selling our business soon, so our we'll have more time as a family.
You said that your son plays the tabla - isn't that a drum? My husband played the drums for years, but he doesn't find the time any more because of work. And my husband sings too - he has a really nice voice.
