When I left my hometown of Hilliard, Ohio eleven years ago, it was still a small suburban city outside of Columbus. By the time I returned a few months ago to help care for my aging parents, little did I realize that during the time I was gone that my hometown – about as whitebread, conservative red-state America as you can get – had become one of the many battlegrounds in the Global War on Terror.The Hilliard I grew up in was sleepy cowtown. As the son of one the local police officers (and my older brother would later follow him on the force), it was impossible to do anything serious without word quickly making its way back to my home, so I didn’t even try. No one else did for that matter. The city was safe and relatively crime-free, except for the obligatory fight at the local bar every Friday night and the annual confiscation of the slot machines at the Moose Lodge. Back then, virtually every area of town was within a half-an-hour walk. While I was in high school, after classes I would walk across the street to the local library at the entrance to the City Park to study and to pass the time.
Today, that former library building is now a full-time Islamic school (K-8), Sunrise Academy, funded and operated by the local-area branch of the Muslim American Society (MAS), the Islamic Society of Greater Columbus (ISGC) MAS has been identified by researchers and many media outlets (such as these recent articles in the Chicago Tribune and The Weekly Standard) as one of the U.S. front groups for the jihadist Muslim Brotherhood and funded by the extremist Saudi Wahhabi lobby. Hasan al-Banna, the Egyptian founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, stated this as the organization’s credo: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”
But the local Islamic school’s connection to the international Muslim Brotherhood terror network is far from the only manifestation of the hometown jihad. Among the regular speakers at the school is Hilliard resident, Dr. Salah Sultan, who gives monthly lectures on a number of Islam-related topics. Sultan was the founding president of the Islamic American University in Dearborn, Michigan, and still serves on the European Council for Fatwa and Research . He has self-published a number of Islamic titles available through his own publishing company. On his online resume, Sultan lists as his personal vision: “To live happily. To die as a martyr. To meet the beloved ones in the Paradise of the Lord of Heaven and the earth.”But Sultan’s desire for martyrdom isn’t just a personal ambition; in a speech he delivered to the annual conference of the Islamic Association for Palestine (the primary U.S.-based front group for the Palestinian terrorist organization, HAMAS) in 1999, he expressed his hope that all Muslim children would dream of martyrdom for the Palestinian cause: “I want every child to sleep on the wound of Palestine and the actions of martyrdom, just like that mother in the country whose son wrote to her that they are to meet in Paradise.”
In that same speech, Sultan clearly identifies who he thinks is perpetrating the “martyrdom” of Palestinians in a tirade that could be taken straight from the pages of the anti-Semitic book, Protocols of the Elders of Zion:

I’m hoping he doesn’t bring any of his friends home for a visit, like his side-kick Yusef Al-Qarawadi, the Qatar-based Muslim Brotherhood and HAMAS cleric whom Sultan hired as a faculty member for the Islamic American University. In 2001, Qaradawi issued a fatwa that authorized HAMAS to conduct suicide bombings, declaring that such acts qualified as martyrdom and did not fall under the Qur’anic prohibition against suicide.
Then again in 2004, Qaradawi issued another fatwa along with 92 other extremist religious leaders authorizing the killing and abduction of American civilians in Iraq, identifying them as “invaders”.
My neighbor Sultan and his buddy Qaradawi also serve together on the European Council for Fatwa and Research. This organization has as its goal the establishment of sharia as the operating legal system in Europe and asserts itself as the ruling government of Muslim’s living in predominately non-Muslim areas. Among the more famous of its fatwas was issued in 2003 during an annual conference organized by the council in Stockholm, Sweden, which declared that jihadist killings and suicide bombings were not to be identified as “terrorism”.
Thus, I have come to discover that the Global War on Terror is no longer a remote issue related to events taking place on the other side of the world. I understood that on September 11th when I heard that a former work colleague was aboard American Airlines Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon. And I am reminded of it every day when I think about my cousin that currently commands an Army unit outside of Baghdad, living day-to-day with his troops in harm’s way to bring democracy and freedom to the oppressed and victimized people of Iraq.
Though I have to confess that I never would have expected that my hometown of Hilliard, Ohio would have ever become a haven for an international apologist and recruiter for Islamic-sponsored terrorism. But it’s true.
It does make me wonder why the American government would grant someone with such readily identifiable terrorist connections, which took me just a few hours to track down on the Internet, U.S. Permanent Residency status? Have we learned nothing from 9/11? Is that day of unimaginable tragedy and horror just a distant memory?
Then I remember that not even two years ago that another local resident, Nuradin Abdi, was charged by the FBI with plotting with another known local al-Qaeda member, Iyman Faris, to blow up an area shopping mall after he had receiving extensive explosives training in Ethiopia. According to trial documents, Faris was taking orders directly from then-al-Qaeda operations chief, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, who planned the 9/11 attacks and was subsequently captured in Pakistan. It is speculated that the terror plot was uncovered by the domestic surveillance program loudly denounced recently by the mainstream media, Democratic politicians, and leftist special interest groups.
This makes me concerned that next terrorist attack on American soil won’t be in Chicago or Los Angeles, but could very well be a bombing at Otie’s Tavern on Main Street, a sarin attack at Tuttle Crossing Mall, or shootings at my alma mater, Hilliard Davidson High School. Any of those scenarios is not far-fetched. Will Cemetery Road be the scene of hundreds of burned-out cars reminiscent of the uprisings in Paris just a few months ago?
It is thoughts such as these that give rise to my fears that the eyes of the world will look in shock and horror to my hometown of Hilliard, Ohio, or one of the tens of thousands of cities like it across the country, as jihad strikes into the deepest heart of middle America. When that day of terror comes, it should be one that we should expect. I remember that my neighbor Salah Sultan and scores of his jihad-preaching associates throughout the American heartland are not just teaching Arabic. The seeds they’re sowing will inevitably bear fruit in a hometown jihad somewhere.

I went back to undergrad alma mater last year. A place not about 200 miles from Columbus. This campus is a Mom-&-Apple Pie as they come. Back during Vietnam, the young enough to fight but not young enough to vote demonstrations, changed the law. The professors saw their chance and the indoctrination went into high gear. Instead of dropping the law allowing 18 year olds to vote, that law should have been, If you serve in the military then you earn the right to vote, otherwise the age requirement stays the same for those not serving.
Why has Muslim immigration not already been halted? If a referendum were to be held, 90% or more of the populaton would demand such a complete halt. How is it that the government remains so indifferrent to our wishes? The individual desire to recycle petrodollars at a later date? I lived in Hilliard about 18 years ago for a about six months. Right on Drayton Road. It was, as Patrick Poole described: A sleepy cowtown.
Now, it appears, it has be infested with society eating insects.
It's obvious that the government isn't listening. All these insects seem to have to do is hide behind the guise of 'religion', and they can spread their hate.
I hope that Mr. Poole has forwarded his letter on the the town council in Hilliard.

Its not just Muslim immigration, I think (especially here in the US) if the public's opinion was really considered all immigration would be slowed down, if not halted completely.
I think the fear is the fear of being labeled a racist, which unfortunately takes a back seat to a common sense security precaution. Especially in the case of muslim immigration.

How high has the bar been set on search, and seisure guidlines when our security agencies such as the FBI are using the tools that congress and the courts have constitutionally bestowed on them after extensive judicial review, namely through the Patriot Act,and the "domestic provisions" of the FISA court?
Noting a distinguished panel of former FISA Judges that came before the judicial committee this past week, All did agree that the Bush administration was performing within in its legal guidlines. Surprisingly One judge went as far as to say that the bar under FISA rules was actually quite a bit lower than the FBI treated it in foreign surveilances.
Maybe FBI attorneys' need to hold more briefings with what they can do, and cannot do in relation to FISA, and the Patriot
Act. They're should not be a hesitation if the guidlines are clearly understood by field officers to investigate when suspicions come to the surface. Keep in mind that civilians are not necessarily held to the same guidlines as law enforcement is. It is a fact that they are almost always the finders for reasonables, and probable cause warrants in many cases.

Let me remind you that those Bush incursions into your civil rights will just as easily be used against YOU as any Muslin enclave. As a matter of fact, knowing how your ruling class feels about Islam and it's proponents, it is much more likely that it will be you and your complaining friends and family that will be subject to illegal wiretaps and other invasions of your privacy.
But in the end, it is YOUR responsibility to find out what exactly is going on and to form political action groups to slow or stop the creeping Islamification of America.
Is there no one amoung you who is willing to stand up and take charge? What about mobilizing a Christian resistance that is willing to petition, to hold organized rallies, to write comments and stories in local newspapers. Are there not clubs and associations that work in your community? Are there no veterans associations?
What The F*** are you waiting for? These people and their ideology mean you absolutely no good and you are sitting around watching it happen!

Long before this newbie found your website, I have tried to argue these issues on Usenet newsgroups and with other folks too. But no matter what I say, I'm immediately confronted by the moral equivalence argument: "Yes, but what about {slavery, the AmerIndians, the atom-bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, McCarthyism, fundamentalist Christians bombing abortion clinics, etc.}?" And that's all they want to talk about. America's moral right to defend itself at all instantly becomes the issue, with America as the defendant instead of the plaintiff.
There's just this deep vein of cynicism and guilt about America, and about Western civilization itself (too many folks put the word "civilization" in quotes). People think it's chic and sophisticated to be so cynical about their own country. And I can't get past it to even begin to debate the issues you deal with on this website. The only people willing to have an intelligent debate on what to do are people who love this country enough to defend her against all comers, even verbally in a debate. Then we can discuss the nature of Islam and sharia and how that relates to terrorism and so on. But that's not the people I end up discussing with.
I've basically given up. I've told folks that a country that is drenched in guilt and cynicism about its own track record shouldn't even bother to ask what to do about Islamic terrorism--because it's too neurotic to do anything substantive anyway. Just fold our tents and surrender, like the French Third Republic did in 1940 after it too was weakened internally in a similar way.
And that's usually how 95% of discussions end up. Depressing, huh?
We have had the discussion about our politicians a few times now. I fully agree with everyone who wants to hold them accountable. I also agree with owning firearms, if you are proficient in their usage or plan to take lessons, also have a plan to secure them from children. If you can not secure them, leave the gun ownership to Texican, Patriot2, Ironman Hondo and myself (I’m sure there are more who are capable, I just like to place a plug for my buddies). Vote the issues not the party. If you are concerned about immigration, border security etc, takes notes. I keep selected articles I find on line or in the newspaper all year, that way when it is time to vote, I can easily chose, politicians tend to switch views in election years, track their entire record and vote accordingly.
Passive ways to fight back: Jihad watch bumper stickers and T-shirts. U.S. flags and “support our troops ribbons. Support Denmark shirts and stickers will also work, most Americans will miss the meaning, muslims will not. Letters to news media editors, request your church leadership to hold classes on islamic threat (invite others and advertise it). A local church has done this several times and it always draws a crowd, even I went. Write complaint letters to companies, who cave, like borders, follow up by shopping elsewhere (I like to include receipts for items purchased elsewhere). You're right, we do need to organize. But the thing about American is that when we get sick and tired of the way things are done, we do moblize. The thing about alot of us is that more of us are being dumbed down by the very officials that we elect!!! The liberals are running almost every aspect of public education. Instead of reading "Jonathan Livingston Seagull", our children are reading "Heather has two Mommies," or "Daddy's Roommate." Instead of learning how to spell, our children are learning how to either sound out the word(s) or how to use spellchek on the computer. And even worst, there is "outcome based education!" This is the system where a child isn't give an A-F grade but is awarded by whether the child put in good effort or not. But all is not lost. "We the People" do have private schooling that is devoid of liberal influence and if push comes to shove, home teaching. There may only be a pocket of free thingking Americans, but it's better than nothing. And when the time comes, and "We the People" decide that enough is enough, "We the People" will act accordingly with the right people leading the way.
"We the People" will make the Constitution of America mean something again.

From reading all your posts almost everyday, I now start having an answer to the question I was asking myself a few months ago: is America as lost as Europe, as far as dhimmitude, PC psychopathology, indifference, consumerism, irresponsability, selfishness... are concerned. Is freedom of speech threatened in America as much as it is in Europe. Does America have the same enemies as Europe, namely: Islamic radicals, liberal mainstream media, self resentment, disinformation, uncontrolled immigration, corrupt politicians, communists, etc.
What strikes me is that what you describe about America is the same as what I observe in France: justice, the media and the universities / schools are dominated by a dangerous, liberal anti West ideology. The kids are being endoctrinated. The Muslims have plenty of very active associations which start demanding privileges (and what you see is just a beginning). Is is impossible to address those vital issues without being labeled a racist, hence disqualified in the eyes of many naive people.
The journalists, the magistrates, the politicians, and the "intellectual elites", all together are leading our countries to chaos. They have what is the most important = the power to spread information on a large scale. They have the education = the future of our countries. They have the trust of the people who elected them (I am talking about the politicians) hence do not even imagine they could be betrayed by them.
I am angry to read here, in your posts, that some Americans still are naive about Islam, still don't care, or even are anti American, because you had September 11. The fact that some Americans can defend the Islamic countries and criticise their own country, is a mystery to me, as even as a French person I personally feel hurt by what was done to you on 11 Sept.
France is on the verge of a "crise de régime" and many people start talking about a possible change in our Constitution = the Fifth Republic would disappear and a 6th Republic would be created, but for what ? That will not change our problems.
However, as far as America is concerned, I am still more optimistic than for Europe:
- America is not communist and hence, it is economically active whereas Europe is lagging behind. The unemployment rate in France is almost 10 %, and as you can guess, it does not help being assertive, active and conquerant.
Americans are taught to work, to have a job, to take risks, they are not ashamed of earning money (or tell me if I am wrong), they don't go on strike 3 times a month, they don't demonstrate about anything, any time, block the schools, the roads and the public transports. In France we have that ALL THE TIME.
- America still has a minority of Muslims and the example of Europe should give your politicians enough evidence and credit to pass bills against Muslim immigration.
- A lot of Americans still believe in God and call themselves Christians. By that I mean that there is no emply hole a new creed (Islam, for example) could fill. In France, most people say they are "agnostic" but I can feel they are very likely to convert to any bullshit if it becomes fashionable, as they have no other religious reference anyway.
I used to think, very naively, that most Americans are patriotic, that they will defend their country loyally, that those who call themselves "left wing" are in fact more right wing that our French right wing politicians ! That the Americans love their freedom of speech and that in America, you can say anything you want. Etc Etc Etc. Ok I will not do it again, I got it now: YOU HAVE GOT THE SAME FREAKS AS WE HAVE HERE IN FRANCE AND EUROPE, namely the ones I quoted aove.
Finally, same civilisations created the same inner enemies, same cynicism, same spoilt brats claiming they hate the West, but very happy to live in richness and in freedom, and to be defended by powerful armies and real Constitutions.
But for the reasons I enumerated above, I still think the USA is less in trouble than Europe.
I think our best hope of putting a frost on Islam's inroads into America is to expose the hard reality that Islam incorporates homicide into its core ideology and take legal action against it on these grounds. Homicide is a crime under US law and for valid reasons I need not mention here. Murder is illegal in America and may it always be so!!! But it won't be if Islam has its way my friends. And so we must stop it by whatever means necessary.
The fact that Islamic is homicidal at the moment is actually less worrying to me than the fact that NOWHERE in mainstream America do I see this being brought up. THAT worries me!
The fact that Muslims publicly claim "Dying in the name of allah is our highest hope" should be a red flag (I mean really---what MORE do they have to do to convince you that this really is EVIL incarnate, hmmm??). What are people who believe this doing in a nation based on the concept of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?" as they clearly will never co-exist with it.
The defense that Islam is a "religion" doesn't cut it anyway. No one can provide ANY physical evidence that any religion is the "true" one. Thus no religion deserves to placed held above human life in any society. But by allowing Islam into America, that is what we have done by default. ISLAM PLACES ITSELF ABOVE HUMAN LIFE THEREFORE ALLOWING IT ANYWHERE AUTOMATICALLY RELEGATES HUMAN LIFE TO A SECONDARY STATUS. And that is a grave error that MUST be corrected before it is too late.

The 4 'fallacies' that apply in the case you mention are:
"The soul-searching fallacy (or: 'boo-hoo-hoo, we're so bad!')", "The fallacy of the false equation" ('our enemy isn't all bad, so how can we demonize him?'), "The fallacy of the perfect cause" ('how can we fight if we don't fight flawlessly?') and "The fallacy of the confusion between short-term and long-term aims" ('we first must fight racism, etc. at home before we oppose any injustices abroad').

In the wake of the cartoon jihad and mosque-on-mosque violence in Iraq, most Americans now think Islam has more violent believers than any other faith. Yet many still believe it is a "peaceful religion", of course we at jihadwatch easily know better. I have to admit that I do not hear President Bush uttering those words lately.
Psychologists might call this cognitive dissonance, or a state of mind where rational people essentially lie to themselves. But in this case, it's understandable. In our politically correct culture, criticizing any religion, even one that plots our destruction, is still taboo. And no one wants to suggest the terrorists are driven by their holy texts. The problem still remains that to many are still willing to give Islam a pass simply because it is defined as a religion, but of course it is a complete way of life with its own laws (sharia) and religious governance as recently noted in Afghanistan where in their constitution is still fully trumped by Sharia law.
Which explains a Washington Post-ABC News poll showing that Americans are becoming more aware of the broader threat (58% associate terrorists with Islam), but are still convinced terrorists are radicalizing Islam and not the other way around (54% don't think Islam itself encourages violence).
The new poll, however, still doesn't sit well with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group dedicated to improving public perceptions of Islam. It has denounced increasingly negative views as "Islamophobic" and vowed to redouble its "education" efforts.
Good. What better time for CAIR and other Muslim leaders to step up, cut through the politically correct fog and provide factual answers to the questions that give so many non-Muslims pause?

Is the "test" of loyalty to Allah not good acts or faith in general, but martyrdom that results from fighting unbelievers (47:4) the only assurance of salvation in Islam (4:74; 9:111)?
Are the sins of any Muslim who becomes a martyr forgiven by the very act of being slain while slaying the unbelievers (4:96)?
And is it really true that martyrs are rewarded with virgins, among other carnal delights, in Paradise (38:51, 55:56; 55:76; 56:22)?
Are those unable to do jihad such as women or the elderly required to give "asylum and aid" to those who do fight unbelievers in the cause of Allah (8:74)?
Does Islam advocate expansion by force?
And is the final command of jihad, as revealed to Muhammad in the Quran, to conquer the world in the name of Islam (9:29)?
Is Islam the only religion that does not teach the Golden Rule (48:29)?
Does the Quran instead teach violence and hatred against non-Muslims, specifically Jews and Christians (5:50)?
There are other questions, but these should do for a start. If the answers are "yes," then at least Americans will know there's no such thing as moderate Islam, even as they trust that there are moderate Muslims who do not act out on its violent commands.

People, my family lineage was not here when the Europeans subdued the native Americans, so don't get on my case about it . (and no, it wasn't right.) In a stunning revelation, Mueller admitted that Hezbollah had succeeded in smuggling some of its operatives across the border, telling the House committee: "That was an organization that we dismantled and identified those persons who had been smuggled in. And they have been addressed as well.”

Louis Farrakhan Calls for U.S. 'Regime Change'

Supreme Court rejects Padilla appeal

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal by terrorism suspect Jose Padilla and avoided deciding whether President George W. Bush can order Americans captured in the United States to be held in military jails without criminal charges or a trial.
By a 6-3 vote, the high court refused to hear Padilla's appeal. He was confined in a military brig in South Carolina for more than three years after Bush designated him an "enemy combatant."

I assume he was referring to former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir. I categorically deny that former Prime Minister Shamir ever would have said anything like this. So, if this man is technically sane he should be sued for slander and defamation of character. Interesting story, most likely false but interesting anyway. This is simple math, even if every Jew in the world today killed a muslim, the combined carnage would be less than the carnage caused by the small numbers of misguided muslim youths who cause all this trouble globally. Since the end of the cold war, the United States has seen it's markets for it's war machines and technologies disappear in a cloud of peace. Who needs new weapons and war technology if there is no threat?
The biggest customers for US war technology by far was Saudi Arabia. All those fossil fuel dollars the US spent used to come right back in the form of US technology, mostly war and defense.
Now that the Arabs perceive no threat from the 'Evil Empire', they are not buying multi billion dollar weapons and service contracts. Who needs anti-missile missles if your advisaries are armed with AK-47s and pipe bombs?
As a result, the one last field of expertise the US held was fast becoming obsolete. This field hired the best scientists, best engineers and the best craftsmen and tool makers - all high wage high benefit jobs that can't be offshored.
This is why the US government and its power brokers can't offend the massive wealth and power of the Arab Muslims - they own them and the only thing they want now is your country under Muslim control and sharia law.
It is way too late to start driving economical compact cars. It is way too late to start bunkering up on corn liquor.
What is a super aggressive super power to do?
Let me tell you - your power elites have been working on a solution for quite awhile - probably since the US aided the Muslims in Afghanistan to overthrow the Soviet occupiers.
Here is the plan - make Iran the new 'Evil Empire', lets call it the 'Axis of Evil'. Make sure they are protected and fed nuclear technology. Make sure Iraq doesn't pose a threat to Iranian domination of the Gulf. As a matter of fact, decimate and disorganize Iraq so it is a fait accompli when US forces leave that Iran will quickly and quietly assume control of Iraq.
Now what happens? The Saudi princes now see their phat lives coming to an end - they are all for Islam as long as they do not have to live the austere Muslim lifestyle.
Further, Russia, India and China are threatened by a new powerful advisary with a radically different ideology. Europe is already crippled as a financial adversary but there is nothing like twisting the knife to bring the EU to it's knees.
Lastly, the US comes into a high technology renaissance, with lots of high paying jobs (cannot be offshored), lots of internal investment and perhaps a new wave of Buy American patriotism that will drive citizens into buying crappy Detroit iron once again.
The whole world will be buying and deploying nice shiny new US technology like remote control Urban Recon heliocopters and anti-missle missles.
One last thought, just because your country is guilty of many transgressions doesn't mean you should lose. Quite frankly, Islam's record makes the US look like the WASP heaven you all believe it to be.

Although, your explanation of world events seems possible, it is way to complex to have been pulled off. Having served in the US military I never once saw or used any alien technology (remember the conspiracy theory where we recovered the crashed saucer in Roswell N.M.?) All the movies I saw clearly showed we did have alien technology so why not use it? The simple answer is normally the answer, it never happened. We don’t have any saucer and we are way to busy with internal problems to conquer the world. The last thing the US needs are more foreigners begging for scraps. I have no doubt many of our policies are directly related to trade but a plan of that magnitude is way above the combined brain power of our politicians. Trust me they are not that bright.

This reminds of the Muslim "Youth" Camp being built on federal property at the Coralville Reservoir in Iowa. The Corps of Engineers has not yet finally approved it but the chief bureaucrat sees nothing wrong with it.
Ohio had its heros, among which was Roger Young, WWII, 37th Buckeye division, Congressional Medal of Honor. His story can be goggled as well as the song dedicated to him. Roger and others like him did not die for an Islamic take over of Ohio.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - In 2005, an outbreak of mumps occurred in a New York summer camp despite the fact that all of the children involved had adequate vaccination coverage, according to the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
The camp, which had 541 staff members and campers, was in session between June 28 and August 18. Thirty-one cases of mumps were identified, for a 5.7 percent attack rate, Dr. K. Henry, from the Sullivan County Health Department, and associates report.
The first case was in a 20-year-old unvaccinated man who arrived from the UK, where a mumps epidemic was ongoing, to work as a counselor at the camp. His first symptoms, which were seen on June 30, included inflammation of the left salivary gland, sore throat and low-grade fever. However, he continued to work among the camp population.

Well I hope your Buckeyes have some sence and have a good gaurd on those guns in a store which do no one any good in a store matter I heard a RUMOER that is where they would hit first.
You must think out of your box and make sure your town is protected from theifs?

Read Col (US Army) Phillip Corso's book, The Day after Rozwell. Corso was a real and credible person. In the 1960's Corso became the head of the Foreign Technology Office, located in the Pentagon. His job was to keep up on foreign technology, including alien. He inherited the entire Rozwell file, including artifacts. According to him, you can thank a crashed alien craft for such things as fibre optics, Kevlar material, night vision goggles and more.

Your politicians have not been in control of your country for 20 years - they have played a role first by winning a popularity contest and then by obeying the counsel of their handlers.
This is not to say that politicians haven't followed their own agends, but only after they have done their masters bidding.
The beauty of this particular 'conspiracy theory' is that is looks just like incompetance - exactly what you the people of the USofA expect.
This plan does not require anybody to be 'in the know' because how can you tell the difference between stupid policy and 'dumb like a fox'?

Here is a test that should play out over the next 12 months - watch to see that the US eventually removes it's troops from Iraq AND Iran assumes visible control.
Second, The USA will bluster and threaten but will not bomb/attack Iran and will stop other powers (Israel) from bombing/attacking Iran.
One prediction I made some months ago has already come to pass, that was Donald Rumsfeld recommending the west 'rearm' for a new 'Cold War'.
All that has to happen to destroy my thesis is for the US or Israel to attack Iran - watch for it.
As for your Roswell N.M. example, I have a highly placed friend in a large technology company that swears integrated circuit technoloy began as alien sourced. That path had already been broken, it was just a matter of building the infrastructure to produce the product.
