New PA police chief marks Jews as 'only enemy' of Palestinians

"Palestinian people have apparently voted for change, but we believe their aspirations for peace and a peaceful life remain unchanged." They Really Really Want Peace Update from Haaretz, with thanks to Olivia:

Jamal Abu Samhadana, the wanted leader of the armed Popular Resistance Committees whose appointment to a senior Palestinian Authority police post sparked a bitter feud between Hamas and Fatah, told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper that his only enemy is the Jews, and that the paramilitary force he was nominated to create was to become the "nucleus of the future Palestinian army."...

According to Abu Samhadana, "We have only one enemy. They are Jews. We have no other enemy. I will continue to carry the rifle and pull the trigger whenever required to defend my people.

Abu Samhadana, turning aside international and local criticism of his appointment, said "We are also a force against corruption. We are against thieves, corrupt officials and law breakers."

Oh yeah, that's why the Palestinians voted for Hamas, remember: they were voting against corruption. They only want good clean kills.

Mashaal also stated to Abbas: "The remedy is through dialogue, understanding and recourse to law, not to weapons."

Advice to Abbas, post many guards where you sleep. Don't you know Mashaal reports to Allah. Allah's law says you are an apostate protecting pigs and monkeys that Allah has instructed you to kill.

We infidels can only hope the wolves will begin to devour themselves.

Abbas refused to disarm terrorist groups such as Hammas, was continuely asked by the internation governments.. he kept saying he wanted to have dialogue with them.. well he was more afraid of Hammas than the Jews! well know he is even more afraid of Hammas, and will need to be more deligent to watch his back, front, head.. l dont think he will last as long as arafat.

David - they have already started. News from the front(biggest online news site in Israel - they have excellent sources in the PA).

If my goverment keeps playing it's dirty little mafia games - this guy will be dead by the end of the year. They are still looking to whack somebody over the latest TLV bombing.

Abu Samhadana started out in Fatah, but they became to "soft" for him in the last 3 years so he has slowly been alligning himself with Hamas -Now he is the "Minister for Internal Affairs" - he wasnt even on the ballot last elections in Feb! - what a joke......

Hamas's first order of business should be to recover the billions that disappeared when Arafat died. It should seek high, seek low. It should attempt to seize the property of all those former PLO (PA) officials who battened on that Jizyah from the Europeans and the Americans. The killing of Arafat's cousin in Gaza was a good first step. Take away all the villas of all the PA officials. Take away all the weaponry handed out to Fatah men, those supporters of that corrupt old regime. Tell Mrs. Arafat that she'd better return the hundreds of millions she herself -- leading her decadent Parisian life --- managed to abscond with.

No, we in the anti-corruption brigade will not stand for that. And once you are done getting back all those lost billions, perhaps you will no longer need that Jizyah from the Infidels.

Perhaps.

"We are against thieves, corrupt officials and law breakers"

Well then, I guess you should just implode on the spot and that will take care of everybody.

Hugh, you are usually on point but you are not addressing the text of this article at all.

The PA "police" has been riddled with criminals and terrorists for a number of years. It's a pox on the Land of Israel.

"after more than 30 people were wounded in clashes between Hamas and Fatah activists in Gaza Saturday" - www.ynetnews.com

Can't these guys shoot straight?
BTW the Koran insists that retaliation is a duty. if somebody gets killed, their kin is obligated to retaliate. (This might apply to wounds also.)
The Saladin brigades retaliated against Arafat's cousin for the murder of 23 of their members. Fatah is probably planning to retaliate against them (possibly by telling the Israelis where they hide.)

Could we get a list of all the Palestinian "security services", and "militant groups"? A scorecard so to speak.

dococ, there are about a dozen official palestinian authority armed bodies, security services, preventive security, general security, etc. Even a naval police force. Arafat deliberately set things up that way. He paid the commander of each group separately in cash and the commander paid his men. That way yasser could better control each group and play them off one against the other.
