Penn State censors exhibit on Palestinian jihad terrorism

"PSU censors exhibit," from The Collegian of Penn State, with thanks to Esther:

For Penn State student Josh Stulman, years of hard work ended in disappointment yesterday when the university cancelled his upcoming art exhibit for violation of Penn State's policies on nondiscrimination, harassment and hate.

Three days before his 10-piece exhibit -- Portraits of Terror -- was scheduled to open at the Patterson Building, Stulman (senior-painting and anthropology) received an e-mail message from the School of Visual Arts that said his exhibit on images of terrorism "did not promote cultural diversity" or "opportunities for democratic dialogue" and the display would be cancelled.

The exhibit, Stulman said, which is based mainly on the conflict in Palestinian territories, raises questions concerning the destruction of Jewish religious shrines, anti-Semitic propaganda and cartoons in Palestinian newspapers, the disregard for rules of engagement and treatment of prisoners, and the indoctrination of youth into terrorist acts.

"I'm being censored and the reason for censoring me doesn't make sense," Stulman said.

Well, Mr. Stulman, the fact is that your being censored was part of the dhimmi impulse that is advancing everywhere. If you would like to post images of your exhibit at Jihad Watch, please contact me at director@jihadwatch.org.

And no doudt your efforts will appear on many blogs world wide

Mr. Stulman could lead an effort to ban the Quran from PSU's libraries because it promotes hatred and persecution of Christians and Jews rather than "cultural diversity" or "democratic dialogue". If the University refused (which of course it would, for the good reason that it's an important book to study), he'd have extra ammo to file suit in federal court.

Again: money.

Alumni money denied.

It's the only thing that counts.

Nittany Dhimmis.

Nice move Robert. Mr. Stulman's work, which has considerable educational value to the general public, may get more exposure as a result of the controversy.

The implicit threat of personal murder. The 6th Pillar of Islam.

MO WAS AN INCURSION MO WAS NOT A PERSION MO ALWAYS HAD A NEW VERSION

Penn State should have one of its professors do an essay on that. He could get killed, though. Especially if the essay proves deeply offensive to Moslems.

More proof of my contention that the liberal American Establishment is pro-Islamic

A State institution.

Paid for by tax dollars.

Built by a state that owes its very existence to the Declaration of Independence, and recognizes as supreme law of the land the Bill of Rights.

A STATE INSTITUTION!!

Sack the lot, blow up the buildings, plough the ruins under, salt the ground, and start again somewhere else.

These examples of academic censorship need to be nipped in the bud, exposed as early as possible and fought.

Stulman's mistake was that he didn't mount a show featuring evil IDF forces searching for potential bombers at checkpoints or bulldozing houses with bomb-smuggling tunnels under them. Had his show been of that nature, he would have had no problems with the school's administration.

Not sure the nature of the photos but 1) There was certainly culturally diverse peoples killed on 9/11 and 2) everybody around the worldd is talking about it (democratic dialogue). Not sure what Penn State is referring to there. I am an Alumni so I'm a little concerned
