New laws making it illegal to glorify terrorism and distribute terrorist publications have come into force.The Terrorism Act 2006 allows groups or organisations to be banned for those offences and covers anyone who gives or receives training.
The act designates nuclear sites as areas where trespass can become a terrorist offence.
Human rights campaigners argue the law is drawn far too widely and it faced stiff opposition in the House of Lords....
The act also creates new offences of undertaking terrorism training, preparation or planning of a terrorist act and disseminating terrorist publications.
It does not matter how many laws you have; if you refuse to enforce them. And the British will not enforce them much as the USA does not enforce immigration laws already on the books. Much ado about nothing.

Sadly the law will be enforced........ but only selectively. It will be used against anyone who opposes the ZaNulabour government EXCEPT for muslim terrorists. "Cultural sensitivity" will excuse them and only them, from the law - same as it ever was.
"Glorify" is a silly word, almost impossible to define. This will just mean more work (and money) for lawyers, as they struggle with this concept. Even-handed enforcement of existing law was needed, not new laws.
Existing public order legislation was sufficient to deal with, for example the Muslim demonstrators who called for beheading. A few arrests have been made, but overall the response was feeble.

The legislation already existed, but not the will to enforce it.
The usual c--p from our dozy politicos who just want the electors to think that they really are doing something. Everybody is right but we have to be careful about human rights, we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water. Human beings do have rights, but it's all in the interpretation and application of the laws about rights. In other words how far should we go. One man's right is another's unbearable imposition.

They don't enforce the law. I live in the UK, you can march through the streets of London gloryfying 9/11 and the 7/7 bombings and NOTHING is done. If I say Islam is bad my neighbour can call the police and I will be arrested in twenty minutes. I know people this has happened to. When you get assaulted by a group of asian men and the police turn up all they have to say is that you offended Islam and you get arrested, even though you would have to be a total nutter to insult a group of FIVE men when you are on your own.
What makes the situation worse is that they know the police will not do anything to them, there arrogance grows day by day. We are almost at a point where "they" are above the law. I expect any day to be arrested for my comments on this site. An I'm not joking about that.

Let me now say that I am so glad that we are and have been for well over a century now, good friends and close allies. To me our coming back together was like a long overdue family reunion, many of us are after all british in ancestory. As for New Labour - it has all been talk and continues to be so. Remember Blair's boast that 500 hundred terrorists were going to be deported asap. NOT ONE SO FAR.
They are now installing shariah by stealth in much the same way that we have been taxed. Wife beating will not be considered as serious crime. Burglary, mugging, GBH, drug trafficking and other serious crime, will exact just a caution. Well guess who profits the most in all this.
The Blair-Bush maxim of islam is a RoP is coming apart at the seams, as most of the terrorists, criminals in jails, wife beaters etc are muslims. So New labour has come with this novel Law and Order method - NO law enforcement. This way the prison population falls, and as muslims make up the bulk of the prisoners, soon, it can no longer be said that muslims are criminals. Brilliant isnt it?
But what of Britain? "Who cares", say the politicians. "We have got our iron clad inflated pensions that we have voted for ourselves, and we dont give a ....."
