The West's moves to isolate the new Hamas-led Palestinian government prove it is at war with Islam, a tape attributed to Osama Bin Laden declares.The tape also described the situation in Iraq and Sudan's troubled Darfur region as further evidence that a "Zionist-crusader war" was being waged.
The recording was broadcast by Arab satellite TV al-Jazeera on Sunday.
If confirmed, it is the first message from Bin Laden since January 2006, when he threatened more attacks on the US.
The speaker on the tape said that along with their governments, the people of the West bear responsibility for what he called a "Zionist-crusader war against Islam".
"The war is a responsibility shared between the people and the governments. The war goes on and the people are renewing their allegiance to its rulers and masters," he said.
"They send their sons to armies to fight us and they continue their financial and moral support while our countries are burned and our houses are bombed and our people are killed."
He said that the decision by some Western powers to cut funding to the Palestinian government since the militant group Hamas won elections there was further proof of this anti-Islamic campaign...
"I call on mujahideen and their supporters, especially in Sudan and the Arab peninsula, to prepare for long war again the crusader plunderers in Western Sudan," the voice said. "Our goal is not defending the Khartoum government but to defend Islam, its land and its people."
Bin Laden was based in Sudan until he was expelled following US pressure on Khartoum.

If you get a chance. watch the movie Osama. It's on the Sundance channel. It's not about ubl, but a 10 or so year old Afghan girl who has to go out and work as a boy to support her mother and grandmother.
After she's found to be a girl, she goes to prison and is soon married off to a 60 something mullah. After he takes her to his home, his other wives dress her and each is telling her how they hate him and how he ruined their lives.
It's a sad movie, but worth watching.

I think the Arabs/Muslims have left the Palis there because they are a fifth column, and more. Actually, it would also be interesting if psychologists were to do a comparative study on the tensions of family life and the effect on child psychology where there is polygamy - properly speaking polygyny - and easy divorce for males compared with those in stable monogamous societies. Until America admits that it is the culture that must be fought, they will never address the source of the problem. So much of this reminds me of what psychologists call "projection." Hitler did this kind of thing often when he would say (for example)that Jews were planning to exterminate the Germans. Hitler often accused others of the very thing that he was doing or planned to do. The very thing the Intolerant-Islamist accusses others of is (like Hitler's projections) a window into their mind.
I really hope that more arab muslims do join the fight in Sudan.

Bin Laden writes of the Sudan as if it had once belonged to Egypt -- it never did -- and had only been wrested from Arab control by Great Britain. In fact the reverse is true. It was the British under Cromer who came up with the ida of an Anglo-Egyptian condominium over Sudan once the Mahdi's revolt had been suppressed (Gordon of Khartoum; "We have the Gatling gun, and they have not"; The Last Charge at Omdurman; the Fuzzy-Wuzzies; The Four Feathers); that became the modern Sudan which was never part of Egypt. Indeed at the birth of the Sudanese state it had an Arab minority and a much larger black African majority. But from the beginning it was to be rule by the Arab Muslims, and that rule quickly became murder and then mass-murder, first -- so far for 20 years -- of the Christian and animist black Africans in the south, and then that Jihad has been extended to the imperfect black African Muslims of Darfur.
Ever since the Darfur massacres began, it has been suggested at this website that it makes far more sense for a few thousand American trooops to seize -- as seize they could -- both the southern Sudan (where, as Bin Laden truthfully says, the "agreement" between the Arab Muslims and the southerners does not, cannot, bind the Muslims -- for they are not bound by any treaty with Infidels; their model for all time is the treaty of Al-Hudaibiyya, concluded with the Meccans by Muhammad, who then proceeded to break it 18 months after it was made) and Darfur, and hold them, until a referendum on independence could be held.
For the Sudanese blacks should no more be forced to endure the murder from Arab Muslims, than the Berbers in Algeria should be forced to endure the cultural and linguistic imperialism of the local Arabs, or the Kurds in Iraq be forced to continue to be ruled by Arabs who, under Saddam Hussein, even if they did not all actively take part in the mass murder of the Kurds, all appeared not to be displeased by it, for there was complete silence about the Arab massacure of Kurds, both by Arabs with Iraq, and Arabs outside Iraq.
What better way to stymie Arab and Muslim ambitions, and to draw a line beyond which the Muslims will not be allowed to go, to actually throw back their ever-extended boundaries of Dar al-islam, and to give heart to black African Christians everywhere from Nigeria and the Ivory Coast to Tanzaniya and Kenya and South Africa, and what better way, as the Americans get unstuck from tarbaby Iraq, to show that this should not be interpreted as anything other than what it is: a withdrawal not because of defeat, but because a much colder, and much more cunning, and much more determined, way of exploiting the divisions within Islam, and demoralizing the Camp of Islam, something a bit cleverer than squandering half a trillion dollars on people who, almost all of them, remain permanently hostile to us becuase of the teachings of Islam (which does not prevent them from wanting to receive as much aid from us and other Infidels as they can possibly wangle or inveigle), and on the cockamamie notion that in Iraq, a country where Shi'a have taken power, as they inevtiably would once Saddam Hussein's regime fell, from teh Sunnis, there can be constructed a Light Unto the Muslim (Sunni Arab) Nations." Sheer madness.
But Bin Laden knows, and is worried, that the Americans might actually begin to do something signifciant in Darfur. One hopes he is right to worry -- but one worries, that Bin Laden needn't worry. Getting out of Iraq in order to deploy much smaller forces much more effectively, while in Iraq the sectarian and ethnic hostilites may increase and do our work for us, is something that so far is beyond the ken or grasp of offical Washington.
But who knows? Learning curves may be flat, and then suddently start curving, satisfactorily, appetizingly, beautifully upward.

In south Sudan, the genocide and slavery of Christians and Animists, has been ongoing for 20 years. Intervention in Sudan has all the right reasons, ethical and moral, and has the added bonus of dealing a serious blow to the Jihad.

Bin Laden is fighting a loosing battle. What is he doing, exactly? In a sense, he more than anyone, is causing the demise of Islam. Since 9-11 every single thing about Islam is being examined. Essentially, it is being torn apart.
The Arabs are bitter because they have lost Iraq - as a part of the war on terror. But continuing to kill Iraqi civilians in the name of Jihad is sick, even though that country has a government in place – the carnage there, must now be the main source of embarrassment for the whole of the Middle East. Definitely bad for business! Even the Chinese are puzzled; never mind everyone else in the world. How long can this whole charade of ‘fighting to free Iraq’- last for?
If we are there to protect the oil – then we are also there to protect Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It seems the brothers are a little divided here.

Sometime ago, about a year after 9/11, I wrote on LGF, that 9/11 will be regarded as a seminal point by future historians, writing tomes titled, 'The Rise and Fall of the Islam'.
Even states such as Holland and Norway are beginning to realise the serious predicament they have put themselves in. In Britain, we are a bit (quite a bit) behind, but I'm confident that we will get a measure of things soon enough. The signs are there.

But since 9/11, Islam has come under the microscope, Western nations have tightened their borders, nations have moved from 'family reunion' to 'skilled migrant' programs (guess who looses out here ?). Formerly PC countries like the Netherlands and Denmark have turned 180 degrees due to OBL and the behaviour of muslims in these countries. Lets hope Sweden, the current most PC nation on Earth, also sees the light with elections later this year.

Perhaps you should try asking Clinton about the Sudan? The fact that the Sudan offered to turn over Bin Laden has already been established. Since you brought up Clinton MSNBC showed footage Sunday of Bin Laden in an Afghanistan training camp in the late 1990s. The footage was taken (in real time) by a predator drone after Bin Laden had declared war on the United States, bombed the World Trade Center killing six and injuring over thousand people and killed two hunderd people at two US embassies in Africa. Bin Laden is shown in the footage in white robes surrounded by followers.The footage was transmitted in real time back to CIA headquarters.Clinton would not order an attack. A cruise missle could have ended Bin Laden's life and saved 3000 Americans on 9/11 if only Bill Clinton had had the courage to act. MSNBC attempted to reach former Clinton administration officials Madeline Albright and Sandy Berger for comment on the story but they refused to comment on camera. Though they did admit mistakes had been made.Sen Bob Kerrey (dem) who was also on the 9/11 commission did comment and said the main problem with the Clinton adminstration was that they treatment AQ as a law enforcement problem rather then a military problem. So I guess we should also asked why Bill Clinton refused to kill a man who had bombed the world trade center, two US embassys in Africa and declared war on the United States?

I am reminded of a remark made by the otherwise clueless John Kerry, a remark made by him during, I believe, his presidential bid, avowing that we had not found Bin Laden because we had "outsourced" the job to the Pakistani and Afghan mititary. I believe Kerry was in some measure correct in this assertion. We have been unwilling to ride roughshod over Pakistani and Afghan territories, in part because they are sovereign states and we want them to perceive that we will, when we enter their lands, tread lightly and respectfully, especially now that that nice, Western-looking (except for that Persian lamb hat) Mr. Karzai is running part of Afghanistan, and since we don't want to antagonize the Pakistanis, whose hearts and minds we have not quite fully engaged. Therefore, we have decided to entrust these forward-looking and West-leaning Afghans and Pakistanis with much of the work, scouting rugged, mountainous terrain, consorting with warlords and village hetmen in strange and alien tongues that we have not learned, and making curious deals whose intricacies elude us, in the service of finding OBL. We must, after all, employ the assistance of these Eastern Muslims, who have all of the linguistic and cultural expertise to accomplish this vital mission, to catch and "bring to justice" this elusive and wily individual who we are simply unable to find on our own. The problem is that as Muslims, many of these same Afghans and Pakistanis who are ostensibly looking for OBL have, in all probability - because they are Muslims and regard OBL not as a criminal and mass murderer but as a hero - no intention of capturing him, but, on the contrary, give him warnings that the Americans are nearby and afford him cover or other types of assistance so that he can leave before we arrive. This is the most likely reason why, after four and a half years, OBL is still at large.

bin Laden is one very mentally ill creep who just happens to have significant financial resources at his disposal and relies on an extremely triumphalist totalitarian ideology from the 7th century as his road map to life. If things work his way, it's Allah's will. If things work against him, it's the cabal of Zionists and the US plotting against Islam. And then there's his leagues of pea brained and/or equally warped followers, who just don't happen to be as wealthy, and, consequently, a little more modest in their ambitions. (bin Laden clearly thinks he's the Caliph. How else could he have made Zarqawi the "Emir" of the "Land of Two Rivers"?)
If someone in Hollywood made an "Ian Flemingesque" movie about a malevolent plotter against western society and based it on bin Laden's personality and his various "achievements", who would believe it was anything but a wild work of fiction?
