CAIRO -- Osama bin Laden allegedly said in an audiotape yesterday that Zacarias Moussaoui -- the only person convicted in the United States for the Sept. 11 attacks -- had nothing to do with the operation.``He had no connection at all with Sept. 11," the speaker, claiming to be bin Laden, said in the tape posted on the Internet.
``I am the one in charge of the 19 brothers, and I never assigned brother Zacarias to be with them in that mission," he said, referring to the 19 hijackers.
The Al Qaeda chief said the Sept. 11 hijackers were divided into two groups, ``pilots and assistants."
``Since Zacarias Moussaoui was still learning how to fly, he wasn't No. 20 in the group, as your government has claimed," bin Laden said. ``It knows this very well."
Bin Laden said Moussaoui was not a security risk for Al Qaeda, because he did not have knowledge of the plot.
``Brother Moussaoui was arrested two weeks before the events, and if he had known something -- even very little -- about the Sept. 11 group, we would have informed the leader of the operation, Mohammad Atta, and the others . . . to leave America before being discovered," bin Laden said.
Bin Laden said Moussaoui's confession -- that he helped plan the attacks -- was ``void," calling it the result of ``pressures exercised against him during 4 1/2 years" in US prison.
It was not clear which confession bin Laden was referring to by Moussaoui, who frequently trumpeted his claim that he was involved in the Sept. 11 attacks. But his defense lawyers cast doubt on his claims, saying he only wanted to be sentenced to death to become a martyr...

Of course none of those things occur to bin Laden et al. If they had a smattering of intelligence, and logic, they wouldn't be the malignant and psychopathic excuses for humanity that they are.

So, if I may continue my slide away from the unimportant matters of this Moussaoui character and the low-hanging fruit in GITMO, I scarcely believe that the Kingdom of God is in any way lacking in spiritual perfection. Only if paradise were imperfect would God's priority become one of serving spirits and saints with inadeqate earthly pleasures akin to a perpetual virginal lap dance underscored by non-stop consumption of wine. Seems to me these are insatiable pleasures in our physical form. Not sure what form pleasuring takes once we shed our skin, unless of course, spirits and saints have less ravenous physical appetites than did their physical bodies and thus, can be sated. But, what need for physical pleasures anyway, once you are no longer physical? It's just that Mohammed's description of paradise sounds an awful lot like my college days, which were (as based in fact) utterly sinful; been there, done that. I don't want to ge back to college. I want to go to heaven. Now, just following what you dudes are saying (be patient with me, I'm trying to understand this), do I have to wait to get to heaven in order to shamlessly enjoy the life of gratuitous sex and alcohol abuse to which I dedicated myself in my youth, then abandoned... So, there's no questioning, but she discovered this fact only in her middle age? Ok, it happens; there have been such lost children reported, but her case doesn't pass the smell test. She expressed zero interest when presented with her history, and it was only when she was 'outed' as a Jew that she became 'interested' in her identity.

Regarding Madeline Albright's Jewish roots, considering the age during which she was a child, it comes as no surprise that it was kept a deep, dark secret. I have some Hungarian Jewish friends who were born at the end of WW II, who had secular upbringings and didn't learn of their Jewish roots until they had left Hungary for the West, in an attempt to shelter them from persecution in the post-Nazi era.
I can also cite the examples of former Ontario Premier Bob Rae, who didn't learn until he was an adult that his paternal grandfather was a Jew from Glasgow named Cohen (the family took his grandmother's name; grandpa had amscraed, anyway) or even John Kerry, whose family chose to bury its Jewish origins that were no more distant than his greatgrandparents, although they were surely safe from Nazi or Communist persecution.
