Dhimmi Carter: Punishing Innocent Palestinians Is a Crime

In "Punishing Innocent Palestinians Is a Crime" in Der Spiegel (thanks to DFS), the great ex-President and Nobel laureate demonstrates a persistent, incorrigible unwillingness or inability to see what is in front of his face:

Depriving the people of Palestine of their basic human rights just to punish their elected leaders is not a path to peace.

Where is there established a basic human right to live off the largesse of others while spending all one's time plotting the downfall of a sovereign state?

Innocent Palestinian people are being treated like animals, with the presumption that they are guilty of some crime. Because they voted for candidates who are members of Hamas, the United States government has become the driving force behind an apparently effective scheme of depriving the general public of income, access to the outside world and the necessities of life.

Treated like animals? Because they were for an all-too-brief period refused money they have done nothing to merit and which only encourages them to continue down their murderous path?

Overwhelmingly, these are school teachers, nurses, social workers, police officers, farm families, shopkeepers, and their employees and families who are just hoping for a better life. Public opinion polls conducted after the January parliamentary election show that 80 percent of Palestinians still want a peace agreement with Israel based on the international road map premises. Although Fatah party members refused to join Hamas in a coalition government, nearly 70 percent of Palestinians continue to support Fatah's leader, Mahmoud Abbas, as their president.

If all this is true, these nurses and shopkeepers shouldn't have voted for Hamas.

From Tokyo on my way home:

What a nutcase!

Peanut Khadr is the worst enemy of freedom and democracy.
His obstinate stupidity is revolting and a constant embarrassment.

Take over, Hugh: Suck it to him!

I just love how to the left and the moral relativist crowd everything is a crime. Well everthing except crimes. Murder, terrorism, pedophelia all that is a disease or can be explained by inequality. But everything else is a crime.

As islam is (by there own admission) so huge, with so many follwers why do the islamic countries not provide the free money? If every muslim gave a couple of dollars or whatever, they could raise billions. Iran could donate the money it's using for weapons development for instance.

I don't think anyone could punish innocent Palestinians more than other Palestinians without getting creative in a very medieval sense.

Sending mentally handicapped teens to blow themselves up for the promise of virgins? That's low. Using children as couriers without telling them their package is going to explode? Lower. Only a real Limbo artist could beat that. Dismembering alleged "collaborators" in the street is not how I'd order a civil society. The jihadis use dense population areas as human shields when they fire rockets. Not to mention shooting at Israelis using crowds of kids as a backstop for any Israeli counterfire.

I would not feel one iota of guilt if we forced the Arabs (AKA: Palestinians) to start farming the greenhouses for food by cutting off their Semtex money.

I'd like to know how not giving the Palestinians money they are not entitled to is "punishing" them. These are the same people who celebrated after 9-11. How absurd? Why should the USA(or any country) give them money? It's not America's job to see to it that they have an income or the necessities of life, that's THEIR government's job. I have a radical plan Jimmy. How about our government take the money we spend on Palestinians and other Arab nations that HATE our guts and spend it in instead on greater funding of free and low-cost medical clinics throughout the USA for people with no medical insurance. Naaah, can't do that, got to put the Arabs before Americans, I mean we can't be racist can we???

It is sure a crime, identical to the crime we committed against the German and Japanese people back in the 1940"s.
How dare we punish these people, the Germans, the Japaneses of the 1940's and the current Palestinians, just because of the follies of their leaders.

It's no wonder why the "Milksop in Chief" only served one term as President.

Thank God!!!

Can't this worst of American presidents be gone from public discourse? Maybe of no one pays any attention to him he will go away.LOL
I am probile preaching to choir and reiterating points already made by people smarter, older and wiser, then this maleducated twenty something but we really have to kick this Jizyah habit. Somebody in the West needs to get down and dirty and kill the Jizyah monster. We owe,not red-cent to the Palestians, all their misery is self inflicted, induced by the nightmare that is Islam. Plain and simple, no kufir anytime, anywhere needs to give any member of Dar al Islam a thing.
Where or where is the mighty ever so benevelent Ummah to help the dear brothers of Palestine? Oh it turns out that Ummah biz is a staple of Dawah, lit for equality obsessed, gooey we are world sentimantalist Westerners.(Man these creeps know the bottons to push) No angry, illiterate and semi- literate Palestians are good for the Jihad. The product of cynical minds, cannon fodder for the Arab/Islamic war on decency and humaniity. Cooked in a toxic broth of Islam, self pity and disfunctionality. Served with bang of death and depravity. We are funding it and we shouldn't be. (Whatever happened to self/group-interest in the positive sense?)
One day sooner rather then later, hopefully the Jizyah monster dies his long over due death.(no one hold your breath) Infidel money for infidels, an idea so right, so simple, so well common sense, it won't be done anytime soon.As Robert said "these nurse and shopkeepers shoudn't have voted for Hamas".

It is illegal under American law to give money to terrorists.

End of ex-Presidential argument.

Or doesn't Carter follow his nation's laws?

I don't owe these people anything. I don't want to support people who won't take responsibility for their own actions or refuse to take care of themselves. If they don't want to make their situation better, why should we bother? Useless breeders, useless breathers.

Or how about this: why don't they reform their own economy and take care of themselves? Why are they in poverty, Jimmy? Let's look for the 'root causes.'

I agree that Carter is a an embicile of epic proportions when it comes to Islam. He's lusting in his heart for a Religion of Peace that exists only in his active imagination.

But he hasn't been in power for what, almost 30 years now? The current Administration, the one with the power today, with control of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches, is resuming aid to the "Palestinians", which as you point out IS AGAINST THE LAW. Carter is making an idiot of himself by making speeches, but Bush is making an idiot out of all of us by arming the people who are out to destroy us.

BTW, sheik yer'mami, I believe you meant "sock". I hope.

I don't believe jimmy carter is the dhim-witted ignoramous many people think he is. There is something much more sinister about his pattern of behavior.

Too bad he has secret service protection. When he really deserves to be classified as an enemy combatant, and held at Gitmo. Or one of those secret prisons in Eastern Europe.

I'm hoping that he is in one of the Palestinian territories after the next suicide bombing, and right there under an Israeli missile strike: I'm rooting for him to go the way of Rantisi.

It's not America's job to see to it that they have an income or the necessities of life, that's THEIR government's job.

Dear Corli,

You know what I love? I love it when people say that the US isn't the world police, and that we need to stay out of everyone's business. Then they turn right around and bash the gov't still for not financing their own demise (ie muslim nations). The logic is so flawless (ie leftist double talk).

Ok, so Carter makes a simple and obvious statement. First I say "find me a innocent Palestinian".

Carter must use the same dictionary for the word "innocent" as the U.N. uses for the word "genocide". I guess with that in mind he must use it for the word or people "Palestinian" too.

I think I need a liberal decoder ring to keep up with what they say, and what it means.

Second, Carter then is guilty of the exact implied obvious by his own mouth that "Not punishing guilty Palestinians is a crime". Carter said it, not me. But being spineless, now would be the time he should start talking and try to move away from the subject.

If he is concerned about money going to the Palestinians then why doesn't he call an international investigation into Arafats estate. I have not heard a burp in the media about where the billions went. The fact that the media is not saying anything about it implies to me that there is something there.

Doesn't the USA have laws to restrict the movements of loose cannons like Carter? Or is he the mouthpiece for others?

Alaskan, yes, where did yasser's billions go?

"Depriving the people of Palestine of their basic human rights just to punish
their elected leaders is not a path to peace."

Jimmah is right. The intent is to punish the "Palestine people" for electing
the terrorists to office. I mean the people voted for women who are proud that their
sons killed innocent children. Why should the West support these people?
Continuing to prop a failed regime will not force the solution. Unlimited welfare in the
US didn't help the plight of blacks, it only further caused them to be
subjugated by the white majority. If the plight of the Palestine people is so
dire why don't the wealthy Arab oil monopolies contribute just a tiny fraction
of their billions to aid their brethren in developing a viable economy like the
Israelis did?

The thought of my tax dollars being used to support these people so that
their government can continue to attack Israel makes me (in the immortal words of
Rosana Rosana Dana) "want to puke."

"Depriving the people of Palestine of their basic human rights just to punish their elected leaders is not a path to peace."

Who is "depriving" them of anything? They made a choice, by voting in the leaders whose job it is to take care of them. Plus, there is no sign that they want peace. Proof is in all the conflicts created wherever they are building their swarming nests.

Where are all the "brothers" who jump on the bandwagon to go on a rampage - burning, kidnapping, and killing at a drop of a hat? Like the uncouth madmen that they are, they race out into the streets after listening to the "mouthing off" mullahs right after their Friday prayers, the hypocrits!

When it comes time to dig in their pockets to help their brothers, hmmmm - quite another story. God helps those who help themselves.

How old is Jimmah these days? Aren't you tired, Cawtah? Shut up, and build some houses.

"Send me money quickly, please. I'm being deprived of my basic human rights."
-- the essence of Jimmy Carter's insistence on American and other Infidel money being sent to the "Palestinian People"

You know how we all get those letters from Nigeria promising us a fortune, if we only send $500 or $5000 to Mr. X or Mrs. Y or the daughter of Chief Z to be able to retrieve a sum running into the millions from wherever it is currently locked up?

Well, the Nigerians need to go to school to the "Palestinians." They don't even promise a shared non-existent fortune if you send them money. No, they promise nothing. The food rations to the people in Darfur are cut in half. Refugees all over the world, or the poor everywhere, are desperate. But one group, and one group only, manages to tug at all our heartsleeves, those of Jimmy Carter and all his tribe --- the "Palestinians." They can't have the money they spend on rockets and those explosives just found, and the other shipments of weaponry, diverted to food and medical care. Without that Jihad, life wouldn't be worth living. Besides, the Infidel world owes them -- not the Indians in Bolivia, not black Africans in the Sudanj or the Congo, not poor people all over India or rural China or anywhere else -- no, only the "Palestinians" who have been, who are, who will always be engaged in a Jihad until they are so deprived of funds that they simply cannot continue. But we Infidels owe them their divine right to carry on the Jihad.

On with the Jizyah. More. And don't expect a thank you. We owe it to them. All Infidels owe it to them.

Those Nigerian scammers are babes in arms compared to the "Palestinians." They need a lesson in how to really get the dough.

When travelling in europe it amazes me how well they think of carter and clinton and degrade regan and the bush's. jimi and bill are such embarrassments to the U.S. Congress should censure carter and pull his passport to stop his aid to enemy forces. carter is a bad joke and the most failed presidency in history. remember that ALL of the terrorism started on his watch.

Ahhh yes, President jimmy carter. Some highlights of his administration. 1.) massive stagflation, mortgage rates at 10% or higher 2.) totally outmaneuvered by the Ayatollah of blessed memory, 3.) Panama canal - who need it?! 4.) Totally outmaneuvered by Fidel - mass shipment of Cuban criminals and mental defectives to the U.S. Thank God it only lasted 4 years.

Money corrupts. And Western money corrupts most of all. Wherever Western money goes, corruption follows in spades. Osama bin Laden for one, has made that abundantly clear. Western Leftists too. "Keep Palestine Pure!." That's my motto. Stop the corruption of western capitalism (nfidels) from polluting the "Occupied Palestinian Territories" with their donations of impure (including interest) capitalist monies. It disgusts me. Keep Palestine Pure!

Anytime the peanut farmer from Plains opens his yap, I am instantly transported back in time to the late 70s. Please God, I'd give anyting if he'd just shut up. Wasn'the hostage crisis and the Panama Canal treachery enough, Jimma? Must you continue to punish us?

Damn right, Caroline! Keep Palestine Pure of the blood money the Western Colonialists robbed from poor Arabs for centuries! Sarcasm off/

Hmmm. I wonder what "Zimu" Carter's IQ is. My estimate would be about 67.

Innocent Palestinians? Shouln't we be talking Moslem bedouins here?
