Kenya: One dead and three injured in jihadist raid on Christian radio station

Cartoon Rage still smoldering in...Kenya. "One dead and three injured in raid on christian radio," from Reporters Without Borders, with thanks to Olivia:

Reporters Without Borders expressed shock and dismay after a brutal raid on a Christian radio station in Nairobi, Radio Hope, left one person dead and three injured overnight on 12 May 2006.

The editorial management of the Pentacostal Church-owned radio blamed the raid on Muslim extremists. It immediately followed a Swahili-language broadcast entitled “Jesus is the way”, advocating conversion of Muslims to Christianity.

Witnesses, cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP) said the attack on Radio Hope was carried out by a gang of about nine. Two of them opened fire on a night guard, killing him instantly and injuring another member of the security staff and a presenter before setting fire to the studios by throwing petrol bombs and taking the station off air.

A passer-by was also injured as the band of attackers fled after the raid.

Reporters Without Borders said it feared the media was suffering from still smouldering inter-community tensions and called on the government to be vigilant.

“The episode of the cartoons of the prophet Mohammed provoked inter-community clashes last February,” it said. “The attack on Radio Hope demonstrates that the tensions are far from calmed down and that the media can be as much the target as the instrument of religious proselytism.”

Typical example of peaceful da'awa! Who would question it!

Such broadcasts are what everyone -- all Infidels, and their governments -- should be supporting. Every convert out of Islam is one less consript in the army of Islam, and a useful informant on ways and means. Every sign that Islma is shrinking, and losing to Christianity (or to Zoroastrianism, or Hinduism, or Buddhism, or atheism, or "none of the above") is demoralizing to Muslims and weakens those who threaten all Infidels.

But note the attempt at moral equivalence: The "proselytizers" were really asking for trouble by inflaming "inter-community" clashes that started with ... uh, with Moslems attacking infidels. So if Christians were to storm the towers where Moslem calls to prayer were being issued, would that too be an understandable reaction to "proselytizing"? For that matter, would attacks on anyone who says "Allahu akbar" be an understandable reaction?

If Kenya wants to avoid going down the sewer like most of Africa, she better start kicking those Muslims' butts.

Countries in the region that are not Muslim countries, such as Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda et al should explicitly and emphatically state that as a fact. Crack down hard on any Islamic rebels who can't accept that fact, and must go on a riot. Same thing elsewhere - Thailand should push Buddhism aggressively in Southern Thailand, and tolerate no Malay garbage. Phillipines should push Catholicism in Mindanao like it's the Spanish Inquisition. There ain't an alternative to reading Mohammedans the riot act.

To defeat Islam or at least stop it winning become like them.

Contrary to what people say becoming like a savage does not make you into one, however it is infinitely better to be a savage than extinct.

Think, the Christian/Jewish culture in the southern and eastern med before Mohammed was in the same situation as us today. They probably never envisaged that within a couple of decades they would be referring to their forefathers as sons of apes and pigs.

How do we know what will become of our offspring in the next century or two, do you want to see your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, grovelling around in the dust 5 times a day with the vacant looks of religious zombies?

To fight fire you must use fire, turning the other cheek may be well quoted but that is only for certain situations and forgiveness only applies to those who accept their misdeeds.

They accept the tactics they use as legitimate, if they are legitimate for them to use they are legitimate for us to use, case closed.

The time to act is now, or it may be too late.

Icedragon:

To really fight Islam most effectively is to find out what the real agenda is.
Frontpagemagazine.com has about the best that I have seen concerning The Muslim Brotherhood "Project".
The English translation has a seventeen page of points of departure laying out a step-by-step plan to spread Islam worldwide. It has been in effect since 1982. You can see where they have been and where they are headed.

I agree with you that it may already be too late. If the governments of the world don't get their collective heads out of the sand, then we are indeed in dire straights.
